After Yuya summoned Rune-Eyes in the latest episode, I thought (like others had previously) that Beast-Eyes wasn't going to make an appearance. Now that we know that Beast-Eyes will appear, I am kinda surprised even though I had been saying "I think he'll be summoning Beast-Eyes" in the TCG section.

I didn't think we'd see Silver Claw though.

To add

I wonder if this means Yuya will use finally Silver Claw.

Well it was either anime debut a Performpal with one of the best effects for them, or use Cheermole, Mufflio, or Hammer Mammoth. Personally I'm glad they went this direction since Silver Claw was in desperate need of an introduction. I just hope this means we will be getting it in the TCG soon.

To be fair, I'd have wanted to have Yuya fuse Odd-Eyes with Silver Claw to make Beast-Eyes anyway. I didn't really see him fusing Odd-Eyes with the others tbh.

As for its TCG release, I can't remember if it was in the recent JUMP poll or not. If it wasn't, then it'd be a good candidate for release in a later pack.

Not surprised that Trump Witch will be involved. The card clearly was designed to be Yuya's new method of Fusion Summoning since he gave Polymerization back. And since the Fusion Summon effect is a Pendulum Zone use, he can theoretically Fusion Summon multiple times. Pendulum Summon the Materials, Fusion Summon. Pendulum Summon more materials. Fusion Summon.

I get the feeling that they're making Odd-Eyes and/or Pendulums capable of forked evolutions. Odd-Eyes Dragon became Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon alongside other Pendulum cards. Now Yuya is making Odd-Eyes evolve by Fusing it with Spellcasters (Rune-Eyes) or Beast (Beast-Eyes). Even though he's technically using the same ace, there's more potential for other changes based on situation. He won't need Action Cards or Traps to make Odd-Eyes attack multiple times if he's able to make Rune-Eyes.

I'm actually pretty excited for the next few episodes.

Silver Claw was indeed in the recent JUMP Promo poll but Ebon Illusion Magician was voted as the Promo. However there is an empty spot in the TCG card list for NECH right under Cheermole and Trampolynx so I am hoping that they put Silver Claw in, or they at least have it in SECE.

The card you're talking about in NECH (under Trampolynx) is Block Spider.

Le RAW: http://www.anime4fun.com/yu-gi-oh-arc-v-episode-24
- We know from the summary that Yuto was to tell Yuzu a series of shocking truths, unfortunately we have to wait for the subs before we find out what that is.
- Shun having a trap that brings him down to 10 LP after reducing the damage from Masumi's effect to 0.
Of course, I know Shun winning was to advance the plot, but Masumi could've won the duel by simply attacking Shun, because his trap required him to be threatened with effect damage first.

That episode was pretty awesome.
Even though they lost the Duel, the LDS students were incredibly badass in that Duel. And they didn't get turned into cards before Reiji showed up, so there's still a good chance that they'll have a role in the story after this. Which was really all I was worried about. After all this time spent making them more than one-shot antagonists to the protagonists, having them lose to the arc antagonist and turned into cards would be a waste.

I just love the way that Hokuto and Yaiba ripped Shun's field and hand apart in time for Masumi to get the finishing blow. It was both meaningful (Masumi was the one who was obsessed with finding the perpetrator) and a great show of teamwork. And even then. you can still tell that Yaiba is the strongest of the 3.
WHOO!

THAT. WAS. AWESOME.

Pretty much my only quible was with how silly SHun's trap was, but MAN... I love these LDS guys, specially Yaiba. I was confused about why the hell Hokuto was bothering to return Shun's monsters to his hand since they can all summon en masse anyway, and why he wouldn't target his face-down cards. Then Yaiba started and I remembered, OH YEAH, he has a monster that destroys your hand AND a monster that can kill spells and traps. That shows they all have very good understandings of each other's decks and strategies, I love how 3-dimensional they are. I hope they aren't out of the story for good, I want them to stick around. And trap aside, I completely got SHun winning; His ace is perfectly suited to defeat the Extra-Deck happy LDS.
While Watching:

Oh didn't Xyz on the first turn? Must be waiting for one of them get get something more worth while on the field.

Pleiades and M7? Sending his monsters to his hand? Seems legit. X-Saber Synchro Spam? Discarding his monsters? Seems legit. But aren't they summoning a bit too many monsters? I bet he's going to summon them all from the graveyard...

Blowing up his back row? All according to his plan...Wait... it was?!!?!

He's going to Xyz now!? Finally. Wouldn't it be funny if gained atk equal to all monsters on the field, they'd be screwed....Wait what? It does!?!? Well damn...

Post Thoughts:

No sarcasm or satire included/intended, I was throwing things out there, and was oddly correct. Any who the duel was amazing, they paid the price of summoning spam. I'm also glad their life points were linked, It seemed really unfair the way things were going. I wanna hear that Yuzu-Yuto discussion though. Rank 4 No.96 confirmed, but it's probably til the end phase or something, idk. With all that said, Reiji vs. Shun plz....

Pretty much enjoyed the episode.

Hokuto/Yaiba essentially did multiple turn 1 Extra Deck summons [that's to be expected], but Masumi eventually did (and almost managed to OTK Shun with Lady Lapislazuli/Master Diamond's effect burn, had he not activated that Readiness Trap in his graveyard).

I enjoyed watching Shun OTK them all in the end though; even better than watching Yusei take down people in Crash Town in 5Ds. Of course, Dimension Xyz was essentially a lucksack draw [then again, that Trap of his was also somewhat plot device].

On another note, Yuto essentially reveals his name and presumably reveals the whole story behind Ruri and whatever else is going on.

Looking forward to 25 when Yuya/Gongenzaka duel.
When the subs are out, we'll know exactly what Yuto says to Yuzu during that scene.

I don't know if that Yugo guy will reappear later on in the series (considering Shun/Yuto have something to do with him); will be interesting to see what his Deck entails and that ace monster. Ruri might show up but it's speculation right now (she may, though).

I think Yugo should appear again, I'm sure he'll be relevant to the plot sooner or later. I also want to know what his deck will entail as well as the only thing we know is that he has a synchro monster.

Just watched le subs
From the subs we learned that Ruri is Shun's sister (even though we knew that already since the wikia was updated with that info) and that they're fighting for and to save their captured comrades. Yuto also said that Ruri would never learn the summoning technique of their enemy, in this case fusion.
Also, according to Shun, everyone he had duelled thus far have been "flimsy and pathetic" and that he couldn't feel any determination during any of those duels either.

With regards to the latest episode.... Why am I now getting a Kill la Kill vibe from this series?

With Rise Falcon using that rainbow attack in the end with such an overpowering feel, I could see it being Ragyo's ace monster in some bizarre crossover.

Episode 24 was pretty good. I wasn't that invested in the duel considering it boiled down to the LDS duelists summoning stuff, only to all be annihilated in one blow. But said annihilation was fun to watch and I like Shun's attitude in that I can tell he's passionate in finding Ruri and is just willing to mow down whoever's in his way.

Which is why his duel with Reiji should be awesomesauce.

Yuto does seem to be Alternate Yuya or something. We'll see.

No, I mean...
One way to look at Arc-V is like this:
There is a main school that's run by an all powerful person who has a squad of underlings that are weaker then the person at the top, but are still high ranking and above everyone else, while said school teaches people how to be like them. At the same time, they are "under attack" by a person who wishes to take out the main person of said school, over some personal vendetta.

Difference is... Arc-V has 2 or more people who would fit the Ryuko(w/e) role, seeing as how we know for a fact that a few of them came from that parallel universe, and Reiji lacks a 4th minion to complete the 'Elite Four' concept.

I just like Shun's passion. It's not quite overplayed yet. His view about his opponents lacking an iron determination and strength, and the comment he made before drawing, of how in his world, he and his allies? would get beaten down all the time, but always had to stand back up and win. It's darkly passionate, evidence of someone who's struggled against odds constantly and overcomes them by refusing to give up.
