I see Cestus of Dagla is using the same art that was used in DM.
This is another one of those episodes where we have to wait for the subs to see what is happening. At least we got to see Yuto disappear on screen when Yuzu's bracelet flashed.
The preview shows Yuya possessing Polymerization, so if he doesn't summon Beast-Eyes in the next episode, I'm sure it'll be the following episode as the other two duels have been 2-parters.
Okay so it looks like it is a Spacial thing rather then Temporal Thing; Other Dimensions. I'm guessing they're confusing Yuzu with her other counterpart (Like Yuya is to Yuto). Unless she is and Yuzu is from their world; Her father still didn't explain the bracelet very well at all.

Beast Eyes confirmed. I'm hoping Beast Eyes is jus the begining; maybe Odd Eyes will get a Synchro along with an Xyz(And hopefully that means Entermate Tuners and Level 7's/Beaters). Entermates for Top Tier!!

Also I never watch the Previews at the end. It helps me be more patient for the next episode. Though hard to do with LK96's post, guess those don't count as "spoilers"?
Well I generally like how the episode previews after the opening don't spoil much of what happens later in the episode, but after towards the end sometimes they would cut the preview long or short depending on what will happen but, I would imagine that kind of thing would be best for 2-part duels.
Well it was a shame I didn't get to see a duel today. What has the world come to?

So did Gogenzaka plead to Yaiba to be taught the way of the Synchro? Cause it did seem like it. Though i na hypthetical flip-flop situation, if Gogenzaka had Fusions, it would make sense to fuse armory to giant samurai robots or...vice versa. So we might be getting a defensive-type Karakuri-esque thing later I assume. Also if Marco looked that attractive I gess it does validate Masumi's obsession with him.

So far, I guess the trio of the LDS top duelists are rising above minor characters; more like mentors or mediums to die between You Show and LDS. Yuya is still pretty baffled on what to do about Reiji but the logical thing is that he uses Polymerization to try to extend his summoning strategies so he can fight against Reiji on a more diverse level. Beast-Eyes better have an advantage of effects if the fusion materials were Pendulum Summoned or something.

Also, has Yuzu ever considered that all these links to the Dark Duelist (now called Yuto I guess) and Shun are linked to her bracelet? Wouldn't 2 similar times of occurrence account for investigation? And now she's baffled to care about dropping her Polymerization and this? Well it might be too much for her I can understand, but my conflict is that Yuzu eventually needs to get in the spotlight, and not via Yuya or Sora. Her showing off her Fusions needs to come alight if she wants to improve.
Please, just tell me what happens to Masumi, my new Waifu, I can take it.

Well she didn't get her soul taken so you still have ample time to fap to  adore her.
I thought Yuya would do something fancy and I'm a bit disappointed now that he'll use the regular Polymerization.

I'm also interested in the red dragon and the blue warrior that were on the LDS screens.
Well it's a start, it's nothing too fancy but something personal for Yuya out of the blue doesn't sound right.

Also according to le wiki, Yuzu had 2 copies of Polymerization, so unless they counted wrong, Yuzu still has one and Yuya stole/borrowed the other. And it appears it's Cyber Nova Dragon and Heroic Champion - Excalibur fighting. Pretty cool and neat being hallmark boss monsters but the color scheme kidna messed it up.

Well thing is if Gogenzaka used Superheavy Samurai Fusions, that would break his rule of no Spells or Traps in his deck, unless of course they can be Fusion Summoned by banishing monsters instead of using Polymerization. Pesonally I think Synchros make a bit more sense for him since the Samurai's combine with the Soul monsters. All he needs is a few Tuners that could maybe be Superheavy Soul monsters.

If Gongenzaka does get Superheavy Synchros, it'll be interesting to see.

Also because it fits with his Deck theme; going the Fusion route would require a S/T card or they could go the Contact Fusion route or something along those lines.

As for episode, not sure what Masumi was saying to Yuzu/Sora but given her tone, probably pleading to them to help catch the person responsible for sealing Marco into a card. And I don't think Yuya will be asking Hokuto to teach him Xyz anytime soon. (Just need to wait for subs to confirm if thoughts were right)

And going into next week's episode, hopefully Mieru won't be a jerk like the last two were.

Wasn't it already established that Superheavy Samurai are getting Synchros in the next set or so?

Which makes sense if you consider the LDS students as parallels to their respective opponents. Yuzu and Masumi Dueled and now Yuzu is trying to learn Fusions. Gogenzaka and Yaiba Dueled, and Gogenzaka may be getting Synchros soon. Yuya and Hokuto Dueled, and while Yuya doesn't have Xyz, the situation came about because Yuya was mistaken for an Xyz user that seems to be an other dimension version of himself.

So now the Dark Duelist's name was said, in-universe, to be Yuto. Kind of reminds me of how Reiji's name wasn't said until episode 8 or whatever.

The subs for episode 21 are now out
It turns out that the Pendulum cards that Reiji has aren't quite ready for the Junior Youth Championships, and that soon LDS wil be able to have their own Pendulum cards, even though they wouldn't be ready yet either.
We know that Gongenzaka asks Yaiba for a request from the RAW, but with the subs, we don't know what the request is yet.
Masumi is getting way too stubborn for her own good, refusing to believe that Yuzu didn't know Yuto's whereabouts as she thinks that Yuzu is hiding something. Although, I want to know who this Ruri is that Shun was talking about, because he thought Yuzu was Ruri before Yuto says that she isn't.
I wonder why Yuto is saying that Polymerization doesn't suit Yuzu, perhaps it's because of the fact that Ruri didn't use fusions or something.

So, THAT'S Professor Marco. Now I see why Masumi likes him so much.
Now that he possesses the Poly card, I guess he'll be summoning Beast-Eyes during his next duel.

BEPD looks kinda evil, I'll haphazard a guess and say that if he does use it next duel, he won't be sticking to it.

Mieru is so cute. It's very nice to see to see a relief from someone who doesn't think of themselves as a perfectionist or an arrogant smartass. Still playing around with Yuya but she's the kind of material that would eventually fall for Yuya once fate has fallen. I want to say tsundere but...

Eh. I loved seeing the Ritual animation; Reminded me of the old video games where they did the fire & torches animation; but the summon of Tarotray was pretty fitting. Mieru used a very nice conceptual deck as well. She can use Syblla monsters as regular supports and use the ritual to protect and troll your opponent. It's like putting Gishki, Ghostrick, and Geargia in a blender and you get Syblla, combining the ritual process, troll mechanic, and consistency spam aspects respectively. After all the thing about not being able to see your fortune straight with your eyes is cool too.

I also smirked a little when Yuya legitimately had a dead hand in the beginning. I expected he'd go for more action cards but seeing how he did get a Trap and remembering last duel I guess he's not falling for much now. And now we make the best predicitons for what Beast-Eyes can do. Do not disappoint us show...

• Mieru acts like a typical girl her age; wanting her dream man to come to her. At least she doesn't come off as an asshole (pardon the language) like the other two; well, she kinda does, but nowhere near their level.
 • Yuya gets a dead hand first turn; that's a first. Shows why you try to keep the ratio of high Levels to lower Level ones around 1:6 to 1:7; oh well.
 • Been a while since Rituals were used as a character's main card. Kaito did use one in ZEXAL, but it was setup bait for his other monsters from what I remember.
 • Guess Yuya's gotten smarter about Action Cards, given his performance last duel.
 • Mieru's Deck works pretty well; sets up for her ace monster and mess up the opponent.
 • No words on Entermate Springoose; though I can see the joke between it and Welche.
 • Some consistency error with the anime (if anyone caught it). Tarotray has 2600 ATK in anime; whereas the Wikia and card say it's 2700. Could be that whoever made the card miscalculated its stats [or the writers, dk].

Looking forward to the next episode; we'll see if Yuya does Fusion Summon that Beast-Eyes.

Have to say, Nico is honestly growing on me. Dude still looks like Disco Hitler, but his appearance coupled with his antics actually makes him kind of funny.

Looks like Yuya accidentally grabbed Poly with his other cards when he got up, he looked like he was about to s*** a brick when he drew it in the preview. Guess he's summoning Beast-Eyes next ep, which should be cool.

Really like Mieru's deck and dueling style, it's much more consistent than Michio's and Eita's decks, and she's much more tolerable than Eita as well.

I have to wonder what purpose Kaleidoscorp serves in Yuya's deck, given that it's effect only allows mass attacking of PENDULUM SUMMONED monsters in the anime. He really should only be using that if there's a chance of his dueling Reiji anytime soon. I WAS glad to see him putting his weaker monsters in defense mode, though. Seems he's gotten much more cautious since his duel against Eita. What was that thing with the Action Cards anyway, anyone have any idea?
Wait... was there an error in this episode? When Tarotray was Ritual Summoned, it said it has 2600 ATK, but the card itself says 2700. Also When it destroyed Bowhopper, Yuya only took 1100 instead of 1200 damage... weird
