Wait, Sora outright mentioned that they were Different Dimension monsters. So there is no distinction after all?

D.D. monsters like Warrior Lady and Scout Plane have the kanji 異次元の, which is literally "from a different dimension".

DD monsters have the kana  ディーディー, which is "DD" phonetically, but a few of the D.D. monsters don't have that, because they don't literally have "DD" in their Japanese names. Others like D.D. Crow and Assailant have full stops between the Ds in their kana (ディー.ディー.), whereas the DD monsters do not.

Episode wasn't that exciting for me, but Reiji showed a lot of skill with his DD monsters, and with that kind of backup it would be easy for him to Pendulum Summon next episode.

Reiji's Contract cards as well as DD cards remind me of Archfiend cards, or rather the earlier ones that required costs to pay effects. It's a bummer Pandemonium only works with monsters, but at least Palabyrinth is a better use. better yet if DD gets name-reverted into an Archfiend-esque kind of name, then that scores another kind of versatility with the Archfiends. The bosses are already Fiend types, but only the Fusion is Level 6...and according to the wiki, the DDD bosses so far seem to only have effects dealing with spamming DD monsters...so Reiji looks like he's more of a spammer than a control type, using his Contracts to make things easier for him.

So it looks like Yuya will use his set card, which is highly likely to be Hippo Carnival to revert all attacks to the Hippo Tokens. And at that point Yuya could probably Pendulum since the anime effect of Timegazer Magician does not have the "Activate only if you control no monsters" clause. But jeez, it's like Yuya everytime, all he does is rely on one utility Entermate Monster, random Action Cards, and hope that his opponent is actually thinking about x3 battle Fader or something.

Yuya's turning point could be that he finally stops trying to hide behind laughs/smiles/ENTAATENUMENTU, and actually adjusts his playing style to be more pragmatic.

Well, I was NOT expecting Reiji to break out all those different kinds of monsters like that. This is shaping up to be a good duel so far, especially given how countering his DDD monsters is going to be hard given Caesar's effect can just revive anything Yuya kills (and I'm betting he won't have any trouble preventing the damage). THis on top of the Pendulum Summoning he'll do next episode is going to make this an INTENSE duel.

This Duel is actually really cool. Reiji is awesome.

I also realized very early into the episode that Reiji sounds like IV. I then checked the Wiki. IV and Reiji share the same voice actor. As the Duel progressed, the voice was significantly more obvious. And that makes Reiji even cooler. Previous episodes didn't have him talk enough to really notice the voice.

Reiji also commented that "DDD" is "Different Dimension Demon" after he Xyz Summoned.

To note, though, they are still not "D.D." monsters. They may be linked, but they are not the same.

Also for the DDDs as opposed to DDs:

Rank 4 WATER Xyz
???

Level 6 FIRE Fusion

Level 7 WIND Synchro
Level 8 DARK Pendulum

So we'll probably get a Level 5 EARTH Ritual as well.

Only when he summons a Light DDD monster named after Izanagi will I call him Yu Narukami... But they seem to be named after Emperors/Rulers

I mean he's looked like Yu from day 1

He uses demons of assorted elements from another plane of existence.

He uses every summoning method, with only Rituals left to be seen.

And he has contracts with these demons.

It's pretty damn blatant.

.....Coincidence maybe? Or maybe I'm in denial lol I refuse to believe!!

Going to watch the episode anyway so fuck Spoilers lol. Reiji uses every Summon available? That truly is a Boss Character. I just know that Yuya is going to pull some BS in the next episode though.... New Entermate, Reiji looks shocked and Yuya attacks for game. Yugi lost like twice in the Anime? (Once to Kaiba on purpose and then to Rapheal), so I guess Yuya MAY lose, I doubt it though,....

I can see him losing.

For one, a rematch against Reiji.

I THINK Jaden has the most losses of any protagonist, according the lolwikia, its five.

EDIT - Its Yuma, with 10 losses.

Yusei lost twice, though one was a flashback, and the second was to Yugi, in a noncanon special. I THINK he lost to Aki once in the manga.

Yusei literally lost two Duels. One in a flashback (which won't count), one against Kiryu in their first match, although the Duel was interrupted by his D-Wheel breaking at the last second. This is important because losing the Duel would have KILLED him. However, this makes him the only Yu-Gi-Oh protagonist to literally not have a single "official" loss from the beginning of the series to the end. The fact his character shtick became "pit him against the most ridiculous odds imaginable and see how he pulls through" got a bit grating during the WRGP.

Jaden has the most plot-relevant losses and developed the most of the protagonist characters.

Yuma explicitly sucked at Dueling at the start of the series.

Actually........I think there will be no winner.

"Magical Sages Galilei & Kepler" is the thirteenth episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V anime.

Somehow, Reiji Pendulum Summons and mounts an attackagainst Yuya. Yuya shows off his ability to Pendulum Summon, something he thought only he could do, and tries to counterattack by Entertainment Dueling, but due to the sheer pressure from Reiji, he’s unable to hide his shock. And Reiji doesn’t just Pendulum Summon, he uses it to unleash other parts of his strategy. With You Show Duel School’s fate on the line, Yuya is extremely anxious. However at such time, a new the attack by The Dark Duelist in the Leo Duel School has happened.

Ah, the tradition 5d's introduced where a duel between the main character and his Kaiba-esque rival will be interrupted by outside force.

Bloody typical..... Anyhow I thought that Shingo was going to be the Kaiba-esqe villian for Yuya. Let me guess, everyone will put their differences aside for a couple of episodes and Yuya will save the day. Or maybe a 1 on 1 between Yuya and the Dark Duelist? I can dream right? :P

Saw the latest episode.
Reiji would loose, unless it was an Action Duel; that's cute.

That aside, it was fun watching his DD/DDDs in action.

If it wasn't an Action Duel, I doubt he'd be so reckless though.

Although it is true that his strategy looks very fragile. He needs X step to do the next thing, and ruining one will weaken him pretty badly there....

So what? Reiji's gonna call the whole thing off, in the middle of their match?

Protecting LDS is obviously more important then a Duel with Yuya. Besides now there is a good chance the Dark Duelist is involved, Reiji will hopefully get to see the Duelist with his own eyes. The Dark Duelist obviously has a LOT of hate for LDS what with completely crushing Shingo and protecting Yuzu. This Yuya could be from another Dimension though and cared greatly for the Yuzu from his world.

I am probally thinking too far ahead and I am starting to sound like Astro so I will shut up now... I will bet 250 Points that Yuya will duel either the Dark Duelist or Shingo will make a surprise appearence for cengence.

You're really not, considering I made a long theory post based on Dark Duelist being an AU Yuma.

That seems strangely too straightforward as in what could happen. Would be nice, but it still seems somewhat skeptical. Last time I checked the page it didn't have any proper info yet.

The You Show Duel School VS LDS Battle is currently a battle between their representatives Yuya and Akaba Reiji. Somehow Reiji Pendulum Summons, unleashing a brutal assault against Yuya. But then Yuya starts a Counterattack by Entertainment Dueling.Outline
