That miiiiiiiiight be possible since we have no idea what he does outside of You Show and the thought of there being only 2 duel schools is just silly. Yaiba was Synchro Summoning like a maniac the whole Duel and keeping an advantage, and suddenly, all those effects and Summons backfired in an instant. Just the turn before, Sora was convinced Gogenzaka had no chance of winning. Â I found it hilarious when the kids commented on how Yaiba's spamming was "like he's playing by himself". A reference to Solitaire-type Decks. Â I'm very curious how Reiji will set the stakes of the Duel. I am convinced he is going to win, and judging by how he interrupted the intended tiebreaker match, he might be nullifying the conditions of the "best of 3" match. A reference to Solitaire-type Decks. I hope they make those little jabs at other decks too, I love self-aware humor. Â Man, X-Sabers (at least the anime ones) are terrifying. Props to Gongenzaka for standing his ground, especially when getting hit by attacks. Usually everyone goes flying onto their butt or something. Â I kinda think Yuya will beat Reiji on account of the school being at stake, IMO. Maybe he could give the school a break if he won, but that'd feel like a cop-out to me. Â It's been said there are other duel schools for sure, but I'm pretty sure it's also been said that LDS is easily the largest, so I'm having trouble believing there's a third duel school watching IT. Â As for the episode, Black and I both think that it was easily one of the best duels in the franchise. The atmosphere was amazing, the flashback didn't interfere with the duel at all, and while the Sword Action Magic Cards were kinda asspully, it didn't feel like it because Gogenzaka refused to go after them. But, but, but, I liked "Get your game on!" =( Though I'm biased on how I overall never thought Jaden was obnoxious, and is the main character I enjoy the most with having screen time. Let me replace it with "It's better than Kattobingu".     There for sure is another school out there because LDS did mention they have "enemies". I'm personally getting the vibe that Yuya's dad is something like Dragon from One Piece (doing something else that's significant.... elsewhere, but the plot hasn't reached it yet). Said "other school(s)" is not necessarily gonna be an important point right now though. The other two are being surprisingly palatable. Though that might be becaue they're relatively normal compared to SHEEBERU. That kid is also the only one out of them all who's design I actually dislike, as well.  I'm in the same camp as you guys: I want Reiji to WIN, dammit. But I'm a little unsure how the plot is going to work with that, seeing as it means You Show is absorbed into LDS (and I honeslty can't see them keeping any of them not named Yuya [and potentially Sora] around out of the "goodness of their hearts"). It's thoroughly possible they could just expel them for not meeting their standards, or they wouldn't be able to afford the tuition (entirely possible, LDS looks expensive as hell). Not to mention I bet Yuya is going to be miserable there, especially with Shingo making life difficult for him.  Which makes me think it might not actually happen. *grumble grumble* Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Â Well primarily they got eyes on Yuya and his father. If anything they want to investigate their background as much as possible because apparently Yushou was some sort of threat to LDS, and they think Yuya is some successor with a mythical power of sorts. They all know they are doing whatever they can to reach their goal of brushing off LDS. A loss in these circumstances has no chance of doing that at all. Yeah, all of the members of Yo You were really supportive of her and understood that Yuzu was going through a lot of stress. If they win right here they'll continue the Yugioh's MC legacy of never losing important duels, and while in other gens the characters losing meant somebody dying, right here it's just losing reputation and a legacy. Falling to the bottom is not the end of the series. Sure Yushou's school will be done with and all it's teachings will disappear in favor of LDS in that particular facility. Â Yuzu and Sora need some deck upgrades compared to Yuya and Noboru at this point, although something tells me Sora doesn't really NEED it as much as he is not completely serious. I think it's a good chance for at least Yuzu to rethink her strategies from this point. Â Well, anyways, I'm getting lost in my own point. What I mean is, they can just start again from scratch and it'll be fine. It's not like they had more than 7 students anyways so their biggest loss is the hologram system, and that's assuming it's worst case scenario where Reiji just gets rid of the You Show staff after winning. Â I suppose LDS getting Pendulums doesn't guarantee many more people getting them considering mostly nobody outside of LDS has Xyzs, Synchros, or Fusions, so there might be no benefit from this, but I still think they can afford to lose even if it's very important for them to win.
