Of course. I bet at the end, in the hospital Reiji will confront Shingo about his "injuries" and his mom will be there too. Here's how I see it:

Shingo: "It's a miracle, I can move my arm again!"
Reiji's mom: "Oh it will be a miracle Shingo, if you survive what we have in store for you!"
Reiji: "Yuya will be our ally against the dark forces so he and his friends are off limits."

And there will probably be an episode where Yuya duels Masuri as payback for Yuzu.

And there will probably be an episode where Yuya duels Masuri as payback for Yuzu.

*massages forehead*

Why would that happen? Shingo doesn't need to be "confronted". His only sin is exaggerating the extent of his injuries. He really was assaulted by a Duelist that looked like Yuya, and who was capable of inflicting real damage in a non-Action Duel. That aspect is what is important to Reiji and his mother, as they wondered whether Yuya really was the attacker, how he achieved Pendulum Summoning out of nowhere, and whether Yuya is allied with their enemies.

That's all that's on the table at the moment. Whether or not Shingo was seriously hurt is not relevant because the situation in itself drew their interest, NOT him being hurt. Him being "injured", if anything, gave them an edge in twisting the You Show school's arm. Shingo's not fooling anyone (except his dad). His own friends can see plain as day that he's faking, and LDS bribed them with cards to confront Yuya at the school over the matter.

Reiji and his mom are scouting Yuya's abilities. They WANT to do this. Sawatari being attacked just gave them an opening.

True, but it feels like Yuya's on trial for a crime he didn't commit. Even worse, no one believes he didn't do the deed.

If anything, how about this:

Masumi has a match with Yuya. Loser transfers to the winner's school.

And besides what's wrong with coming up with your own fantasies? Writers do it all the time.

But getting back on topic, Reiji will reveal the truth to Yuya by the end of the duel. Who knows, maybe after this Shingo will be given one more chance. Just imagine this scenario:

One day Shingo finds someone sitting in his seat. He asks why this is and Himika says that it's because of Shingo's false accusation of his assault and loss to Yuya that unless Shingo can redeem himself in a rematch with Yuya the day after, he will be expelled. Desperate, Shingo steals Yuya's cards and has his friend hold onto them. Next day Yuya and Shingo prepare only Yuya doesn't have his deck, suddenly Masumi and Reiji appear with Masumi holding Yuya's deck. Reiji informs him that Shingo was the one who stole it to assure Yuya could not duel but Shingo denies it, so after Yuya sets up they duel Yuya wins.

Himika: "Shingo, you stole, you cheated, you lied, you lost. You deserve to be expelled."

I know, I know, this sounds exactly like the Chazz vs. Bastion duel in GX. That one of my favorites in GX. But it would be nice to see the snake get his just desserts.

Aside from that the we don't know what kind of outcome the duel between Yuya and Reiji will have, this is something to think about.

Of course you guys know I'm a stupid moron who doesn't know any better. So there's that.

Every single friend he has believes in him. Yuzu had doubts, but overall believes in him.

And I'm pretty sure Reiji/Mama know full well that Yuya is innocent, and are just using this as a means to their end. She basically said as such. This isn't the witch hunt you claim it is, it's a corporate takeover in disguise.

If anything, how about this:

Masumi has a match with Yuya. Loser transfers to the winner's school.

this has nothing to do with anything and has 0 basis in reality

And besides what's wrong with coming up with your own fantasies? Writers do it all the time.

The fact that you post idiotic and/or perverted fantasies that don't fit into the story in any way, shape, or form, and are usually so unrealistic and simple that a 5 year old would write them. How you're older than that is beyond me.

But getting back on topic, Reiji will reveal the truth to Yuya by the end of the duel. Who knows, maybe after this Shingo will be given one more chance. Just imagine this scenario:

what is your fascination with this girl, this is quite clearly you being a fucking pervert. She's a random enemy, she's not someone important. She'll be an unimportant side character at most. Knock it off, because everyone is sick of seeing your stupid fantasies.

Himika: "Shingo, you stole, you cheated, you lied, you lost. You deserve to be expelled."

Not like his dad is an implied benefactor or anything...

I know, I know, this sounds exactly like the Chazz vs. Bastion duel in GX. That one of my favorites in GX. But it would be nice to see the snake get his just desserts.

He's a comic relief character with a vibe similar to Jack Spicer, at least so far. There is no logical reason for him to be hated by the viewer.

In the most general way I can put it:

There is a way to add magical elements into a fictional world and have it all work out with no remarkable bullshit.

There is a difference between inserting your fantasies arbitrarily just because "law of probability 1 in .00000000001% says it can happen", and adding something that works that happens to complement some personal fantasy of someone.

I propose the exchange of "it sounds like a bad fanfic" for "it sounds like something Astro Dude would write"

The issue with your fantasies or theories is the lack of a logical basis for them. You're stating "I could see this happen", but there's little indication that what you're suggesting is even remotely likely based on the motives and personalities of the characters as we know them.

While I tend to be heavy on the analysis and theorizing side (particularly during Zexal), I drew evidence from dialogue and events that had been given to the audience. As often as not, I totally miss the mark, but because I draw my speculations from canon evidence and personality examination, my theories tend to actually have some credibility. There are definitely instances where I say "I hope unlikely event Y happens because it'll help the story in this way", but the difference there is I don't make predictions for completely pointless advancements in the plot, like the LDS CEOs being mad at Shingo for no reason. If they cared that much about "the truth", then they wouldn't have needed to reward Shingo's friends with cards for confronting the You Show school.

They are REWARDING characters who do shady things on their behalf. Why would they be angry at someone's shady behavior that furthers their agenda?

What you're proposing half the time completely disregards character personalities and motives, in addition to things they've explicitly said or thought.

Now, I personally am hoping that Reiji defeats Yuya in their Duel, or in some way accomplishes something that he set out to do, which may be related to acquiring Pendulum cards, or using his own. At this moment, Reiji is the only character who MIGHT be considered a central antagonist, being in charge of LDS alongside his mother, who seemingly has the same goals as himself. Having Yuya win will make LDS look REALLY bad, and the whole reason they're concerned at all about recent events is because of how it makes LDS look bad.

I don't see a reason for Yuya and Masumi to ever Duel. Yuya seemed mostly unbothered by the loss, and Masumi is not a malicious character who abused her opponent. She simply won a Duel for her school, just like he did.

For the record, Pt, Ygo will never be a Bikini Simulator.
The show makes as much sense as all of, if not, most of, kid-oriented shows now-a-days: It's literally a 20 minute commercial to buy [x].
So they will never be excessive with characters who don't wear a bra, constantly showcase their underwear, etc, etc. It's literally a fucking commercial for a collectable card game. So until card games stop being the focus of Yugioh, then your "fantasies" can be valid. Until then, no, they don't even serve a purpose here. No offense, but I'm just stating the obvious.

Speaking of things being the focus of Ygo; 5D's was totally a motorcycle commercial, and not a Ygo series.

You want me to report you guys for being cruel to a fellow fan?

This isn't me being a creeper. I'm gonna be 29 in a few weeks. I just think that Masumi would be a good friend is all.

Aside from that, why does no one reply to threads I make? Do you guys ignore these threads or do you guys care more about ygo more than anything else here?

That aside, I get the fact it's a takeover. I just don't want Yuya to lose. If anything after Reiji gets what he needs he'll just surrender.

Just like Black said, Yugioh is kind of the main motif of the site, so it makes sense that Yugioh gets stickied quickly and discussed this much. It's pretty much been like this since 5Ds times as far as I can tell. I find it odd that someone so active in this part of the site that's not a new member would wonder why Yugioh threads get this much attention.

As for your other threads, I can't speak for anyone else, but for the most part I don't really care for VA info, unless someone stands out to me a lot or is mentioned so much that I can't help but learn it (not bashing the profession when saying this btw, I respect that work). Looking at how it's at least half of what you ever talk about, well.... that explains itself, doesn't it?

Talking about your other threads, Sailor Moon comes to mind as an example. It hasn't even started yet. What kind of activity do you expect from something that still doesn't even air? I think it was probably too soon for an "official thread" there, personally.

Not sure what other threads you might have, but that covers about all I've seen from you.

We are not cruel to you, we are cruel with you.

More than anything else, we attack your theories/predictions. If someone, anyone, creates a theory/prediction here, it's needless to say that it will be discussed and analyzed to see how much credibility it has. The fact that your theories are until now very easy to argue against and break apart repeatedly is... cough* How do I put it? Sometimes it looks like it'd take effort to be THAT much off.

Casey Kasem, the countdown king, died recently, and no one here cares. No one but me.

Kirsten Bishop, the old voice of Zoicite, Emerald, Kaori Knight, Telulu and Lady Badiyanu died recently as well. You'd think some Sailor Moon Fans here would care about that. And I said there fans of Sailor Moon on here can talk about anything related to the topic there.

Just trying to keep the threads alive, after all it's against the rules to necrobump, especially if it's your own thread.

Okay, rant over. It's just, so many theories, so many unexplored possibilities. You'd think the studios would listen to what the fans want to see.

Now, rant over.

New episode coming, can't wait.

To be fair, not every fan is the same, and such have different ideas of what they want to see, and some might not take everyone else into consideration with their ideas.

"Cruel to a fellow fan"? Being a matter of reporting all of us because we are all against and rant about how you are constantly wrong? We're not being rude (Okay maybe some implications here and there), but frankly your contributions to this thread 99% of the time are utterly worthless. The reason we talk here is to generally discuss Yugioh Arc-V, and the magic that came and will come out of it. But frankly as much as people can freely talk about personal fantasies, you've undergone a good history of saying refutable claims and theories that no one else can delve into or agree because it's totally warped.

And what....we should give you privilege cause you're 29 years old on a children's card game forum. Holy guacamole I'm freaking 17 and you have these kind of fantasies like other fanbrats my age with perverted dreams.

And about that last part:

That aside, I get the fact it's a takeover. I just don't want Yuya to lose. If anything after Reiji gets what he needs he'll just surrender.

Well maybe they can, maybe they won't. But the point is, no matter if Yuya wins or loses, the main character always gets his/her revenge and/or comeback later on in the series. He has to face the truth or face defeat at an enemy or two sometimes. And Reiji wouldn't surrender if he obtained Pendulums, since the best thing to do is immediately use it against Yuya to gauge potential.

All we're just saying is, we just anticipate and predict what happens, and then when something comes, we can either compliment something in amazement, or criticize saying how X or Y was good or bad in the episode. You are the only one who WANTS something to happen. No matter what occurs, you WANTED something to happen, but frankly even your predictions are way to far from the truth because the main important thing is understanding the characters, their traits, and the plot. You're simply not witholding any logic, and isntead you just impetuously burst out your subconscious thoughts. Simply at your age you would have likely written a good number of essays and research papers in your times in high school and college. Even here, it's still ethos and logos.

So even if you don't fit into here, you're just a fan who thinks differently; Nothing more, nothing less. And for every fanbase each one has people who think about their fandoms in the opposite way. It's surely okay, but the way this thread is going, it is best suggested that you either post smarter so that you won't get ranted like this again and still keep some of your fantasies intact, or just say nothing at all.

I wouldn't really point out at the age. I'm 23 and will soon become 24. I feel old as heck myself.

I'm here since I was 17, and remember thinking "damn!" towards old users back then (I think J-Max and someone called Saturn Paladin).

Now I'm about to get to what their marks were, back then and even though I feel more mature in many aspects than when I was 17, I wouldn't forsake things I like even if I was 100 years old. One thing I've seen around here as well is that 10 year olds have been amusingly smart and 20-something year olds have been pretty stupid in the past, and so I just disregard age completely.

And so, just as there's no hostility from my part on someone being X years old, there also sure won't be any benefits from it.

Sometimes I think to myself "Things were different back then".

But hey, off topic. And the reason I talk about Masumi so darn much is cause she reminds me of Carly, but only the hair, a little. Plus, how many ygo female protagonists have female friends? You know friends that don't make them feel like they're the only ones in an army of dudes.

I'd better stop digging my own grave before I hit China.

Not to derail the topic, but I ditched Zexal 'cause I knew I'd hate it. So, on a scale from Zexal to GX, to 5Ds, to Yugioh, worth watching? Put it somewhere so I can decide if it is worth a chance, I need convincing.

Is the character Mary Sue-ish?

He's decently developed thus far, and isn't outright perfect.

I'd compare him to the archetype Naruto's in, but better executed thus far. Missing 1 parent, tries to laugh to shake it off, etc. But not to the point of being an utter buffoon, just trying to make people laugh and enjoy his performance.

Yuzu's really bland, but she might get better in time.

Characterization is overall decent for the fact it's only 10 episodes into a series planned to be much longer, and the actual duels/story thus far, while obviously early and thus weaker than they will be, aren't terrible.

The first episode was kinda bullshit, but at the same time at least the second episode is explained because Yuya "creates" pendulums while in a trance-like state.

It's definitely worth a shot, as it's the best the series has offered since the end of the Dark Signer arc of 5D's.

Zexal had a weak start, but showed potential. It then proceeded to shift constantly between squandering the potential, and being awesome. Ultimately, it squandered WAY too much, especially when it came to characters and Duels.

Arc - V has potential, and so far...it still has a lot of potential. I would now say that, at this time, it is worth watching. The Duels are pretty solid, it has a bit of a gimmick that I didn't like early on (Action Cards are ridiculously ass-pully), but that I'm starting to feel they're not so bad now.

Typically, the Action Cards tend to manipulate results, the way other mandatory attack negation/damage reduction etc are used (and spammed to hell in Zexal), but since they're not in the Main Deck, we actually get the feeling that characters have solid Decks that aren't filled to the brim with conditional Traps, and that Action Cards have to actually be found in the Action Field, requiring interaction with the monsters you play. They add a bit of tension to Duels, as a player without Set cards is as likely to lose the Duel as they are to grab an Action Card.

In other series (especially Zexal), players almost always had a card Set. 5Ds also did a lot with Set cards, but in Riding Duels, the cards weren't visible on the Field, so a reckless player could forget about them if they didn't check the screen.

It has been proven, though, that you can apparently "command your monster to block the pathway of your opponent"; Evidenced by Pleides just floating over to Yuya, and then reinforced by the fact his effect returned Odd-Eyes and caused Yuya to drop like a rock.
So it's like an obstacle course in the sense that you have to climb all over the Field to get stuff, and it's not like an obstacle course in the sense that your movement can be easily interrupted.
Hell, I'm sure someone could just play the card Teleport, and then call BS and say it can move you to wherever you want.

Regardless, though, it's an experimental idea for a Ygo series, and it leads to some thought provoking moments that make it interesting. Or, to put it one way, it's bizarro-Duelist Kingdom.

I'm sure Action Cards would provide an interesting way to turn up the possible outcomes of a duel. For example, Hokuto really was serious about Yuya getting any Action Cards so at the cost of some Xyz Materials, Hokuto prevented Yuya from actually obtaining any good Action Cards. And basically you would have to activate cards or effects that would benefit you against an obstacle such as Entermate Revival using Swordfish as a grapple. Of course sometimes these plays may be worth it at the end or useless since you would need to conserve them in the end but the Action Cards must truly be some kinds of game-changers. People would waste cards for.

It's interesting also, how the Action Fields at You Show are much smaller, while ones at LDS are humongous. And this is considering the fact that You Show is a tiny duel school with basic obstacle courses. The Dark Town played in Sawatari vs Yuya...would you consider using a monster to fly somewhere far away from the surroundings so that you wouldn't get hit? Cause maybe a distance rule would be applied. And LDS would be ones to use Action Traps more since the ones at you Show are more basic and beneficiary; Yuya's dependence at that time had cost him a lot.

But acknowledging what Yuya has done, apparently his goal is to get something like Wonder Hippo and go aroudn the stage looking for action cards. I think it's appropriate to say this is a YOLO move, but depending on what he gets, he'll be able to stall his opponent until he gets the cards he needs to do the Entertainment Duel shenanigans in order to win. So it's all just Deus Ex Machina and lucky topdeck for Yuya most of the time. I mean, a card that instantly take control of exactly 2 negated monsters and a card that needs Stargazer Magician to boost every monster's ATK on each side of the field by their level....I get that it's relevant to the episode and its meanings but, they would utterly be useless otherwise. That topdeck.

Well, for the Empty Fishing card, I kinda hope that card was in the pile of trash cards that Shingo threw at Yuya. I mean there was a lot of cards there and if it was in there, Yuya needed something to fill the gaps.

Sadly, I don't think it was. It would be great if it was cause then it would mean Yuya wouldn't be running it normal and we wouldn't have to worry about it, but the silly specific topdeck cards are kinda a staple now. :<

Well that would make sense if it was. I do recall people like Yugi and Yusei using "useless" cards compiled against some opponents but at the very least they were more synergistic than what we have here.

I'll be honest, the Stargazer spell card I didn't have much of a problem with. I think it still works if Stargazer is in the Pendulum Zone, and since Yuya loves to summon tons of monsters at once, I can kinda understand him running it if that's the case.

Granted, that's just speculation, but it makes sense to me. Maybe I'm crazy.
