[spoiler=Response]The card itself isn't directly doing the brainwashing; there's an actual parasite insect in their brains doing the brainwashing.  Whether or not permanently destroying that card kills the actual bug remains to be seen.

In fact, I have half a mind to report you on the grounds of that joke causing me physical pain to read.

I agree, the joke was terrible and the size 48 text was completely unnecessary.

Also, allow me to explain:

 

In Star Trek 2,  Khan used the offspring of a, horseshoe crab like alien to control the minds of Chekov and that extra guy. Seriously, this is a cliche and it has been done to death. We don't even know if the bugs are real or mechanical.

 

[spoiler what might happen if Zuzu and her dimensional counterparts lose to Yuya]

If they're real then it will be one heck of a brain surgery to try and get out but if they're mechanical, they'll probably overload, blow up (They're microscopic so they probablyy won't damage their brains much), and their immunity systems will take care of it for them.

  • Rin duels, but 60% of the damage was literally her looping Ice Bell to do burn. Yeah, not really impressed with that. 
  • So it's confirmed that all of the girls (bar Yuzu) are possessed by Parasite Fusioner; least Serena and Rin. We can assume Ruri had the same fate, since she too threw Kaito out of the tower.
    • By extension, we were right about someone pulling the strings behind Serena's weird behavior since she dropped on her own record; I don't think she would've went back quietly otherwise.
  • Leo warns the Doctor not to get the girls injured, but otherwise the methods are fine by his standards.
  • Yugo's D-Wheel is broken now and he's out of commission. Aster/Edo, you're too late (though it appears Yugo figured out what's really going on)
  • Yuya's involved in the Professor's plans, whether he knows it or not (he does now). Also appears that "We are one" thing with the Yu's is slowly confirming itself. 

Speedsubber stuff:

  • Misspelled "forgotten" (well, switch the e and 2nd "o")
  • Spelled Doctor as "Doktor", but could be an alternate spelling as the Wikia has his name written as Dokutoru (as opposed to what Japanese normally does to words with a lone "r" ending)

 

 

 

So yeah, subs are technically out at the time of writing.

...In no particular order.

 

-How did Yugo not break, like, all of his ribs when he landed on his D-Wheel? Anime physics plz.

-Rin's deck could be really cool if it gets stuff that's not 500 damage s***

-This is the first time Crystal Wing has used its negation effect in the anime.

-Rin actually won and didn't get un-controlled after one duel, whoa.

-Edo doesn't run very fast, apparently

-I legitimately got angry when Yugo's D-Wheel was destroyed. My dream is now for Rin to get unbrainwashed, then Rin and Yugo 2v1 Mind Bug Dude to get revenge for their card game motorcycle.

-Speaking of his D-Wheel, it handles really damn well on twisty stairs.

-RINFACE.jpg

-Revival of Zero sounds pretty edgy

-RIP Yugo's 100% winrate

-Seriously, I hope one/some of the girls get to help duel Mind Bug Dude after they get freed. Or at least get more duels with someone so we can see more of Ruri and Rin's decks. And maybe finally give Serena a real duel (admittedly, her duel with Yugo was pretty close to being totally legit).

-I know it's good writing-wise he lost, but Yugo's my favorite character this makes me sad :c

-THAT BUG CRAWLING AROUND IN SERENA'S EAR AHHHHHHH

 

 

 

Overall, this is one of the best episodes in a while. I'm excited to see what comes next.

- Shun returns after hearing that Yuya and co were heading to Academia and said he wanted to save Ruri with his own hands, which he can do after Ruri tossed Kaito from the tower.

- Aster tells Kaito that the professor has a duelist that can control people's minds.

 - Kaito says to Aster that Yugo is heading to the Eastern Tower, but there was no way Aster was going to get there in time to warn Yugo of the danger because Yugo had a D-Wheel.

- So those parasites are programmed to collect the host's memories and analyse them, and also to make them loyal to the professor. (Ofc the Professor doesn't want them injured as they are essential to his plan)

- I'm surprised Yugo's bones didn't break after he was tossed onto his D-Wheel, anime logic.jpg

- Reiji explains that after he saw Yuya and Yuzu, a memory surfaced in his mind, about Revival Zero, and also explains that the theory about the Yu boys and the Bracelet girls being connected to the Arc Area project is probs correct, and also that Revival Zero is another part of Akaba Leo's plan (and that Yuya is probs connected as well).

Also, wouldn't Leo's plans fail if during the duel between Yuya and the 4 Yuzu's, Yuya were to use his monsters to attack any of them directly? Unless Leo tells Yuya not to do that for whatever reason.

 

...That's all assuming if that happens.  I personally still feel Banana will rescue Rin and Shun will rescue Ruri.  I mean, that's been more-or-less both characters' main driving motivation through the show.

 

What if Yuzu finally subverts the damsel-in-distress thing and beats the doc, releasing the brainwashing?  That'd be pretty nice and it would write her back into the plot in a helpful way.  ...but I don't expect that to happen, unfortunately.

 

[spoiler=Also...]I suppose this episode means that all of the girl counterparts know how to fusion summon now?  I mean, we don't know if Ruri does for certain, but...

Hence the "what if". I don't expect it to happen, but it would be a pretty nice turn if it did.

 

[spoiler Speaking of Mindf*cling...]Does anyone think that Mr. Chessman of Synchro learned his mindscrewing techniques from the Doc? He controlled Sergey fairly well, but not with the mastery that the Doc employed. It seems like something Acadamia had continued developing since Jean left.
