Mirror Force is a nice backrow, but if your opponent has removal (and you don't have a backup plan in case it happens), you're screwed. And by our standards, removal exists A LOT.

[spoiler=thing]The fact that Shun was able to fly them all in there like that makes me wonder why he didn't attack the security with Satellite Cannon or something. I mean given how much damage it did against Dennis and the fact that obviously you can just throw whatever you like onto the disk to get them to appear it's strange that none of the rebels did something like that.

It should be noted that Real Solid Vision is something that Security has (thanks to JMR), and very few other people, the Lancers being some of them. Also, most of the rebelling Commons don't seem to have Duel Disks at all.

Not much to say. Reiji dueled which is unusual. Sawatari was awesome, being strangely realistic bout the chances of the Enjoy Dueling working in a riot, and was cool enough to toss Yuya the mike. Yuzu also was pretty badass, and Roger learnt that chess boards hurt. Wonder if we'll see him duel any time soon, what with Sora and Tsukikage approaching. The commons were dicks to Crow, though the Zombie guy once again showed off his prowness. Bottomless AND Plaugrspreader? He's surprisingly good.

Oh, and they killed Sergey. Not very subtly I may add. I like the think it is the way he'd wanted to go, and perhaps deserved to go. Beaten to death by poor people after playing the greatest card game of his life and falling off a highway while part of a motorcycle.

Subs are now out guys

 

Meh... i already saw it subbed on since like 2 days ago. After the incident where the subs came after like a week later I began to watch it in Spanish subs because apparently they come out 1 DAY AFTER ITS AIRED so on MONDAY! EVERY WEEK! Oh my, thank god i know Spanish because waiting for 4 days is just too much for me. 

 

P.S. I still prefer English subs because its easier to read and the subs don't go out too quickly on each scene. I literally have to pause the video sometimes to be able to read because the Spanish subs because they just go way too fast and i can bearly read what they are saying before they go on to the next thing they are saying. 

 

[spoiler=spoiler and thoughts]Can't wait till Yuya duels Jack. I hope that jack takes out his Calamity in the duel or at least a higher version of RDA. And the way Reiji took out all of those trap cards was simply "cool".

I should probably just watch the Spanish subs if they can be found since I should still be proficient enough at the language to understand what the hell they're saying. But that's something else.

• A couple more inches up and JMR would've hit the back of his head on the table (and he'd probably be dead about now). But getting shoved is still enough and hitting his upper back/neck is enough. 
• Reiji tells the council members to actually defend their own city (and apparently they got the hint, and overruled martial law)
• So much for Shinji getting character redemption; he doesn't give a sheet if even his City gets destroyed by Academia/Yuri or whatever and all he cares about is destroying the Tops first.
  • If he gets carded (along with Damon and Tony), I probably won't give a damn at this point. At least Crow actually has a brain and can see what's happening. 
• JMR turning Security/Duel Chasers into mindless robots; next. 
• If only Jack knew why Yuya was bloodthirsty during his fight with Crow...(then again, only people who know about that is JMR/his scientist and of course, us as the viewers). Yuya was trying to make it entertaining (albeit cringeworthy with the hippos), but yeah JMR intervened and all hell ran loose. 
• As much as I still think Entertainment Dueling is a bit hammy at times, the rioting in the city isn't going to solve anything. 
• The downfall of JMR is going to be glorious in the next couple episodes, as it appears that even Jack isn't willing for him to get in the way of their match.

One thing that I'd like to clarify: 6+ Traps were shown getting destroyed each time, and there were 4 rows of backrow. That's at least 24 cards.

 

Also, Gravity Bind wouldn't have helped against Kali Yuga anyway, let alone 4 copies of it. Good option in City, yes, good idea with Xyz users running around, no.

 

I'm more weirded out by Alien Soldier guy. Would Aliens be a viable option against Security at all, or was he deluding himself?

Well, we don't know what kind of Deck Damon actually runs; could be Aliens or some random beatstick Vanilla deck. That's pretty much the only card we've seen out of him.

With regards Damon, considering that he is a commons who is meant to have crappy cards, Vanilla beatstick sounds more likely then Aliens. Then again, I doubt we'll seer anymore of his deck anytime soon, as he is a minor character and bigger things are happening. Would be nice for Aliens to get some legacy support.

If Tony had used said PSZ to go into some Synchro he could make with their monsters, then wouldn't be too bad; however, that doesn't appear to be the case since Security ended up with all of their monsters in the end.

 

Shinji's ED monsters have generic materials, so he could've went into Voulge after summoning Arbalest. Or Tony could've borrowed Damon's monster for some Level 6 Synchro (whatever is a 2-mat generic).

Okay, this is something that bugs me: Where was Yusei Fudo?

Yusei doesn't exist in the AU version of Neo Domino; remember, he had the whole of 5D's to himself as the main character. As much as some of us would probably like to see him back, it's unlikely. Same goes for having Jaden/Judai appear in the alternate Academia or even Yuma in the Xyz Dimension.

 

tl;dr, we'll get some of the supporting protagonists from the other series in the AUs, but not the mains.

I dunno if this was mentioned, but I really don't like the way Yuya said the line about "feeling an amazing power". Just the way he said it set off alarm bells. Usually, when someone said it that way, they want more of it.

Yeah, I don't like the shows being put on hold just to watch ping pong (or some other sports), but it's their network so can't say much about it. Just assume that I didn't post the link to episode 96 (because even I assumed we'd be getting it and we aren't).

I think all of us assumed there'd be an episode this week, we didn't know there was gonna be a ping pong tournament. I mean you could always remove the link to the episode from your previous post.

 

EDIT: FINALLY got around to watching the subs. Took me long enough, then again I already admitted in the Pokémon anime thread that I was a Slowpoke, so yeah.

 

[spoiler=Thoughts on 95 Subbed]

- JMR claims that by declaring martial law, he'd maintain the security of the city, but Yuzu tells everyone that this is a load of bollocks and tells everyone that JMR is taking advantage of the conflict.

- Sam tells Yuya that Jack was disappointed with Yuya's duel with Crow as he felt a will to crush everything (Shame he didn't know that Yuya was in berserk mode at the time), and if that it was the duelling he is aiming for, then there is no point in having their match.

- Shinji's character was sent down the crapper even more this episode, he admits that he doesn't care what happens to world as long as the tops get crushed. At least Crow has a brain, he wants everyone to work together to protect their home, but this was met with hostility from Shinji/Damon/Tony.

- Reiji tells the Exec Council that they should use their level of authority to actually defend their world, which they do by terminating the martial law after JMR tried to prevent the Jack/Yuya duel.

(The Immortal Duel)
Reiji and Roger begin their duel with their pride on the line! Facing up against the overwhelming strength of Reiji's D/D Deck, Roger is driven into a corner. However, something unexpected happens to Roger's appearance. Meanwhile, Yuya, Jack and the Lancers reach the Security building, where Reiji is.

 

Episode 100: 絶望の都ハートランド – Zetsubo no Miyako - Haatorando
(The Metropolis of Despair – Heartland)
Yuya reaches a new place... The city in the Xyz Dimension called "Heartland", the hometown of Yuto and Shun. Being separated with Yuzu once more, Yuya wanders along the dilapidated streets with Gongenzaka and Sawatari. Before them, Academia soldiers appear. And at the same time, a duelist filled with hatred appears to battle with his dragon!

Episode 99: Finally we get to see JMR duel, should be interesting to see what he runs, and it's also nice to see Reiji duel again considering the last time he duelled was back in episode 51.

Episode 100: They're finally moving onto Xyz, and why am I not surprised Yuzu is separated from everyone again? Should be interesting to see Kaito again.
