Well Armed Dragon Level 10 being well, level 10 breaks the pattern.

But there's not much pattern anyway since RDA has 2000 DEF.

3000 ATK, 2000+ DEF, Level 8. LIGHT or DARK, once we realize nothing that fits the bill is in GX.

I would like to point out that Utopia is Rank 4 and not Level 7, and that Stardust Dragon is Level 8 and not... Level 7. Let's not forget that Reiji's supposed ace is Fiend-Type and not a Dragon. It's not a stretch for the show to not follow the established patterns one-for-one; and if Armed Dragon LV10 is Level 10 and not Level 8; big whoop. There isn't a single series since DM that's followed the DM patterns to the bill, and there's always something different with at least one of the monsters out of the protagonist or rival monsters.

So yeah, Armed Dragon LV10 is Level 10. What about it?

Better yet, had someone other than Eileen Stevens voice Sora in the dub.

Anywho, RAW thoughts

[spoiler=Thoughts on 93 RAW]

- Well, teh Commons have started their riot, though not much has happened, it's only the early stages.

- In the lift the conversation Jack and Sam were having was regarding Yuya as well as Tuning Magician (will expand upon when the subs come out)

- Jack has new toys including a hand trap that I actually thought was a trap card tbph.

- Sergey combining with his D-Wheel to make the duel machine was a tad creepy, and he was able to make a blazing geoglyph (like the ones from 5Ds during Dark Signer duels) appear on the trap after his Counter Trap (which featured the Hummingbird mark in teh art) was used.

[spoiler=Script 93]

Last Time’s Egao Count: 103

Captain Falcon: Academia!
Where did they disappear to!?

Shinji: Rise up!
Now is the time we tear down this Tops-dominated society!

Damon: Break down this phony so-called “equal” society!

Tony: Let’s create our own society!
Where true equality shall be established!

Shinji: The revolution has begun!

Commons: Revolution! Revolution! Revolution!

Security: The Commons are flocking to area GD111!

Security: The Commons in area FV44 are destroying the local shops!
It’s getting out of control!

Security Officer: Director, according to reports from all areas,
It seems like all of Academia’s forces have already vanished from the City.

Jean-Michel: So they gave up, eh? Heh…

Jean-Michel: The trump card, Hiiragi Yuzu, is already in my hand.

Commons: Revolution! Revolution!
Revolution! Revolution!
Revolution! Revolution!

Tops kid: Mama! I’m scared!

Crow: Hey, kiddo!
It’s okay!

Crow: No matter how many revolutions we start,
There will be Tops kids who’ll get caught in the crossfire,
And they’ll grow to resent and hate the Commons…

Crow: How is this supposed to change anything!?

(Opening Sequence)

SAWATARI-SAN: Get away from Reira!

Sora: Huh?

Sora: Sawatari!

GONGENZAKA: What happened!?
Huh?
You’re…Sora!

Tokumatsu: Oh…

Tokumatsu: Yuya!

GONGENZAKA: Hey!

Yuya: Gongenzaka…

Tokumatsu: Are you all right?

Tsukikage: It’s not a big deal…

SAWATARI-SAN: Did you do this!?
Did you and Academia do this!?

Yuya: Wait!

SAWATARI-SAN: This is unforgivable!

SAWATARI-SAN: Reira?

Yuya: Sawatari…

SAWATARI-SAN: Huh?

Yuya: Sora is not our enemy right now.

SAWATARI-SAN: What?

Commons: Revolution! Revolution! Revolution! Revolution!
Revolution!

GONGENZAKA: Yuzu is captured by Sergey!?

SAWATARI-SAN: Serena is also sent back against her will…

Yuya: I…

Yuzu: YUYAAAAA!

Yuya: I wasn’t able to protect Yuzu.

SAWATARI-SAN: But why would Sergey capture Yuzu?

Sora: Most likely,
One of this world’s higher-ups is connected to Academia.

Yuya: That’s right.
Roger is originally a member of Academia.
But he’s planning to use Yuzu as a hostage in order to oppose Academia,
And is trying to create his own kingdom.

GONGENZAKA: He’s planning to use Yuzu as a bargaining chip?

Sora: Reira.

Yuya: Sora…

Sora: I’m taking Yuzu back!

Yuya: Wait! I’ll go with you as well!

Tsukikage: You can’t go in your condition.

Sora: You took damage as well, so you’ll just be a burden.

Tsukikage: Don’t underestimate a Shinobi.

SAWATARI-SAN: Hey!
You’re planning to just sweet talk your way out of this, aren’t you!?

Yuya: Sawatari!

GONGENZAKA: If Yuya said that he is not an enemy, I will believe in Sora.

Yuya: I’ll go, too…Kuh…

GONGENZAKA: Yuya!

Yuya: Yuzu…

Security: The Commons are heading toward the center of the City.

Jean-Michel: Activate the Public Security Maintenance Bureau and the Duel Palace’s security systems.
Open all of the Duel Palace’s gates,
And take in any Tops who want to take shelter.
But don’t let even one Common slip in.

Security Officer: Understood.

Jean-Michel: Also, contact the Duel Palace.
Tell them there will be a change in the second semifinal’s match-up.

Melissa: Whoa, are you serious?
They’re planning to continue the tournament in this situation?
That’s just unbelievable!

Staff: We’re going live!

Melissa: Eh?

Melissa: Good day, everyone!
It’s the fourth day of the Friendship Cup!
And it’s finally time for the second semifinal match!
And well…Lots of bad stuff are going on outside,
But the Duel Palace’s flawless security system is running right now.
So just relax and enjoy the Duel, everyone!

Melissa: And looks like we have a surprise for today’s semifinal!

GONGENZAKA: They’re continuing the tournament in this situation!?
How unbecoming!

Melissa: Today’s semifinal match was supposed to be between Yugo and Sergey.
But since Yugo has refused to participate, there will be a change in the match-up!

Yuya: Refused to participate?

Melissa: Fighting against Sergey in Yugo’s place will be…
This man!
The star of the City, Jack Atlas!

Yuya: Huh!?

Crow: Jack?

Tops 1: To think that we’ll see Jack Duel…

Tops 2: This is truly a surprise!

Melissa: That’s right! Let’s get fired up, everyone!

Jean-Michel: Please accept my apologies.
We should have asked for your permission beforehand.

JACK: I don’t really mind.
No matter what the situation is, I’ll have to accept the Duel.
I’m the King, after all.

Jean-Michel: I wish you good luck.

Jean-Michel: Hmph…

Jean-Michel: Well, Well…
Good to see you.
The semifinal match is just about to start.

Yuzu: Now is not the time for that!
The Commons are rioting, you know!

Jean-Michel: They’ll calm down soon enough.

Yuzu: Heh?

Jean-Michel: Jack and Sergey are about to Duel, after all.

Yuzu: What do you mean?

Jean-Michel: Jack Atlas is both the Tops and Commons’ hope.

Jean-Michel: I’m going to shatter that hope in a Duel with Sergey
.
Jean-Michel: The Tops and Commons’ hope will be thoroughly and mercilessly crushed,
And the City will fall into the abyss of despair.
And then the history of the City, and this dimension, will take a different turn.

Sam: Um…

JACK: Hmph?

Sam: Do you remember me?
You gave me Tuning Magician a while ago…
I was under the impression that you thought I was worthless, just like that card, and came to resent you.
I then gave Tuning Magician to Yuya-san,
And asked him to defeat you and return it to you.

JACK: Yuya? You mean Sakaki Yuya?

Sam: But Yuya-san taught me something.
Depending on how you use it, it could become an amazing card.
And there’s no useless card.

JACK: Every card has a purpose.
The same can be said for people.

Sam: Huh?

JACK: You have your own role to play.
Sakaki Yuya also has his own role,
And so do I.

Sam: Yes…

JACK: Tell that to Sakaki Yuya.

Sam: Eh?

Melissa: All right! First off, we have Sergey’s entrance!

Melissa: He’s a merciless Duelist who defeated Yuzu.
And his opponent is…
The City’s hope, and a legend!
A star that illuminates this City’s sky!
He’s your, and your, and my, and our one and only…
JACK ATLAS!

JACK: There’s only one King, and that’s me!

Jean-Michel: Go ahead and praise your hope.
What awaits you is despair.
And the prologue of a new hope!

Yuzu: A new hope?

Jean-Michel: You can stay here and bear witness to the King’s fall.

Yuzu: Just what are you doing?

Jean-Michel: Hahahaha…

{Chess Commercial. Brb}

Tops: Jack! Jack! Jack! Jack!

Melissa: All right. While this is a hastily put together matchup,
The Duel is still noteworthy.
Well then!
Action Field, on!
Cross Over Accel!

D-Wheels: Duel Mode, on. Autopilot. Standby.

Melissa: Riding Duel…Acceleration!

DUEL!

Melissa: The one who passed through the gate first and seized the first move is Jack!

JACK: It’s my turn!
From my hand, I summon the tuner monster, Red Resonator!
When I summon a Red monster to my field, I can Special Summon Red Wolf from my hand by halving its ATK!
I’m tuning the Level-6 Red Wolf with the Level-2 Red Resonator!
The king’s roar shall make the heaven and earth tremble!
Let the power of the one and only supreme ruler be carved into your soul!
Synchro Summon!
My savage soul!
Red Daemon's Dragon Scarlight!

Melissa: It’s here!
The King, Jack Atlas, has already summoned his ace monster!

JACK: I set one card facedown, and end my turn!

Jean-Michel: This turn shall lead to my dream.

Sergey: It’s my turn!
When there is a Field Magic on the field, I can Special Summon Earthbound Prisoner Stone Sweeper from my hand!
Furthermore, I summon the tuner monster, Earthbound Prisoner Line Walker!

Sergey: Then, from my hand, I activate the Magic Card, Underworld Resonance - Synchro Fusion!
With its effect, I can simultaneously perform a Synchro Summon and a Fusion Summon using the two monsters on my field as materials.

Melissa: Wow!
Sergey just declared that he’s going to simultaneously perform a Synchro Summon and a Fusion Summon!

Sergey: I’m tuning the Level-5 Stone Sweeper with the Level-3 Line Walker!
Be revived from beneath the earth!
Grand beast that deals out punishments with its wings!
Synchro Summon! Come forth!
Level-8!
Earthbound Servant Geo Griffon!

Sergey: Then, I fuse Stone Sweeper and Line Walker together!
Prisoner who crawls on the ground!
Merge with the prisoner, who is walking on the road to his execution,
And become a grand beast that punishes all!
Fusion Summon!
Come forth!
Level-8! Earthbound Servant Geo Kraken!

Melissa: Amazing!
Sergey has managed to simultaneously Synchro and Fusion summoned!

Sergey: I activate Line Walker’s effect from the graveyard.
I banish this card, which allows me to treat the Red Daemon's Dragon Scarlight on the field as having been successfully Special Summoned once again!

Melissa: Red Daemon is Special Summoned once again?
What is he up to?

Sergey: I activate Geo Kraken’s effect!
It can destroy all monsters that were Special Summoned to my opponent’s field on my turn!
And for every monster that is destroyed, you will receive 800 damage!

Melissa: I-I see. Having Jack’s monster Special Summoned again and then destroying it with Geo Kraken’s effect is Sergey’s aim!
Then, if he attacks Jack directly with his two monsters, Jack will be done for!

Jean-Michel: That probably won’t be enough, though.

Melissa: Ah! Jack’s Red Daemon is not destroyed!

JACK: I activated the Action Magic, Runaway Effect.,
It negates the activation of an opposing monster’s effect,
And inflicts 500 damage!

Melissa: Magnificent! Jack not only turned Sergey’s effect away,
But also managed to inflict some damage back at him!

Jean-Michel: I see.
This is to be expected from him.
He’s the King of hope, after all.

Sergey: I set one card facedown, and end my turn.

Commons 1: As expected from Jack!

Commons 2: Hmph…He just got saved by an Action Card.

Tokumatsu: Yuya! Don’t push yourself!

Yuya: Roger is trying to take control of this City.
I need to help Yuzu.
I can’t just stay here!

Tokumatsu: Seems like trying to stop you will be futile.

GONGENZAKA: I, Gongenzaka the Man, shall accompany you!

Reira: No!

Yuya: Reira…

Reira: Please don’t leave me…

Yuya: You should stay here with Tokumatsu-san and Sawatari.

SAWATARI-SAN: Hah!? Hold on!

Yuya: Tokumatsu-san, please look after Reira!

Tokumatsu: Sure.

SAWATARI-SAN: Hey, hold on, chump!
Why do I have to stay behind!?

Yuya: Sawatari.

SAWATARI-SAN: Hah?
Are you giving me an order!?

Yuya: I’m counting on you.

SAWATARI-SAN: Heh?

Yuya: Please protect Reira!

Tokumatsu: Hey, Sawa boy.

SAWATARI-SAN: What is it, old man!?

Tokumatsu: The one who has to protect the precious brother of you Lancers’ leader,
Has to be the man most likely to become the next leader.
Isn’t that right!?

SAWATARI-SAN: Huh!?
I see.
It’s something that only someone who has the potential to be the next leader like me can do, huh?

Tokumatsu: That’s exactly it.

SAWATARI-SAN: Yuya. I, your future leader, shall accept this duty. Go!

Yuya: Thanks. I’m counting on you!

Reira: Yuya!

Tokumatsu: It’s okay. You’ve got us with you.

SAWATARI-SAN: Reira! Feel free to call me Big Bro if you want.

Reira: AAAAHHH!

Tokumatsu: Well, if you don’t like it,
You don’t have to call him that.

SAWATARI-SAN: EH!?

JACK: It’s my turn!
I activate the effect of Red Daemon’s Dragon Scarlight!
Once per turn, it can destroy all Special Summoned monsters with ATKs lower than its ATK,
And inflict 500 damage for every destroyed monster to my opponent!
ABSOLUTE POWER FLAME!

Melissa: Sergey got an Action Card, but he didn’t activate it!

Sergey: When an Earthbound monster is destroyed, Geo Griffon can destroy one of my opponent’s monsters!

JACK: I send Red Gardna from my hand the graveyard, and activate its effect!
During this turn, the monsters on my field cannot be destroyed by card effects!

Melissa: Jack once again avoided Sergey’s effect!
It’s clear that Jack still has the upper hand!

JACK: Battle! I attack directly with Red Daemon’s Dragon Scarlight!
FIERY CRIMSON HELL BURNING!

Sergey: Counter Trap, Earthbound Beginning, activate!
When my Life is 3000 or below, if my opponent attacks directly, the damage will be halved!

Sergey: Then, I can select a Field Magic from my Deck, and activate it!
Field Magic, Earthbound Plain, activate!

Sergey: If I have an Action Card in my hand, I can pick up another Action Card!

Melissa: Heh!?
You can only have one Action Card, but now, he can pick up another one!?

Sergey: Then, by banishing the Action Card I picked up, I can inflict 300 damage to my opponent, and lower the ATK of one of his monsters by 300 points!

JACK: Inflicting damage by only picking up Action Cards…I see.
But the effect of the Field Magic is mutual!

JACK: Since I’m in front of you, I can pick up Action Cards and use your card’s effect to assault you!

Sergey: Hehehehe…

JACK: Hmm?

Jean-Michel: The real thing starts now.

Yuzu: Huh?

Sergey: AAAAAAAHHHHH!

Melissa: AAAH!
What in the… What is this!?

Sergey: I have now become one with speed itself!

Sergey: Look at me!
Look at my beautiful form!

JACK: How boring…

Sergey: Using Earthbound Plain’s effect, I banish the Action Card!
You shall take 300 damage! And Red Daemon’s ATK will be reduced by 300 points!

JACK: You’re planning to lower Red Daemon’s ATK?
What an absurd tactic!

Sergey: There are still Action Cards ahead.

Sergey: You might have been saved by an Action Card before…
But now, they will become your nightmare!

Jean-Michel: That’s it.
This’ll do.
Let them taste despair slowly.
King, and the other ignorant fools.
Your light of hope will be gone before long.

Melissa: Sergey has transformed himself,
And with Earthbound Plain’s effect,
He has gained the upper hand!

Yuya Sergey.
Just what is he?

Melissa: At this point, this semifinal match has become practically unpredictable!

Yuzu: Is he really human?

Jean-Michel: He is the ultimate living Duel Machine.

Yuzu: Living Duel Machine?

Jean-Michel: Ruthless, and yet, precise,
He is a Duel Machine that only aims for victory.
He has never suffered even one defeat.
He is a trump card that will help me realize my dream.

Sergey: Too slow! Too slow! Too slow! Too slow! Too slow!
There’s no way you can get ahead of me now!
Now, you shall fall disgracefully!

JACK: You’re just a herald that runs ahead of the King!
Don’t get conceited and think that a mere palace guard like you can defeat me!

Jean-Michel: You’ll realize once your hope has been shattered.
How great those who have power are!
Soon, the people of the City will kneel before me!

Yuzu: Then, your goal is defeating Jack with Sergey,
And then taking control of this City!?

Jean-Michel: A true order can only be created by those with power.
Ha…Hahahahahaha…
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Yuzu: No way…

Jean-Michel: AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

(Preview for Episode 94)

Sergey: King! Now is the time for your suffering!

JACK: Suffering?

Sergey: Since Geo Gremlin’s effect is activated,
Will you destroy Red Daemon’s Dragon Scarlight, or will you not?
You’ll have to pick a choice eventually!

JACK: Don’t be stupid.
You’re planning to throw away your own soul when you fight me?

Yuya: Next time on Yu-Gi-Oh Arc-V:
The Right Arm That Carved Souls
The fun has just begun!

Thank DMC3444 for the script!

Did you just...

Oh yeah. I did just.

[spoiler=Seriously though, episode thoughts]

Sergey looks TOO DAMN FUNNY in that thing. I was laughing my ass off when he started moving to grab Action Cards, he looks LUDICROUS. The initial transformation was creepy, but the end effect is really unintentionally funny. It's like a reverse of Jose running to his D-Wheel in 5Ds, actually.

Jack continues to be unimpressed with this bullsh*t.

The COmmons are WAY to easy to calm down, the duel started and they seemed to die down almost immediately.

That exchange between Sawatari and the others was too funny. "I want to be part of the plot too!" "lmao get that weak sh*t out of here."

This episode, once again, was on F*CKING SPEED.

[spoiler=93 thoughts]

  • I want Atlas-sama to beat the crap out of Sergey (and by that, I want it to be glorious). Though, that should be obvious.
  • I have no idea on how the hell Line Walker will trigger IRL, unless it Special Summons a Token with the same stats or some weird condition that treats monsters as being Special Summoned this turn (if they were on a previous one).
  • Flashback to the Dark Signer arc with the fields was a nice touch.
  • Shinji's doing criminal property damage now; oh boy. (I didn't read the scripts, but supposedly Crow is mentioning that this kind of stuff is crazy)
  • Since Yugo can't complete his semifinal with Sergey (you can blame Yuzu's bracelet), they make the semifinal a match with Sergey and the King instead.
  • OK, Sergey decided to morph with his D-Wheel and do whatever else (though he's chained up to it). Already done in 5Ds...twice (one with Jose in canon and other was Paradox in the 3Ds movie). Well, at least things are going to be crazy now [as if Sergey wasn't already a psycho].
  • The King is not impressed with your antics.
  • Yuzu is put into a similar situation to how Yuya was when he met JMR in person; now she knows his ambitions.

If all else, I want to see Jack at least get an alternate version of Scar-Red Nova Dragon or Burning Soul next episode. Title probably implies something of the sort, which will be amazing.

Tbh I'm hoping that they expand on Asukas White Night series rather than her Cyber Dancers.

This is good guy Asuka, not super creepy society of Light Asuka. Bring on them dancers.

Better yet, had someone other than Eileen Stevens voice Sora in the dub.

So why exactly are you all talking like Zane CAN'T come back? I don't really see how Alexis's return means he's out

If I remember correctly, Crow and Jack were both announced at the same time to be appearing in Arc-V. Since we've got these two appearing in what will probably be the Xyz arc, people presume that'll be all, which is far enough. Paying homage to previous series is awesome, but more then two reappearing characters per arc would feel heavy handed.

And you act like Jack and Crow aren't going to be part of events as they continue. They're being set up to join the main cast, which begs the question of how long they're going to follow the Lancers in dimension hopping fun.

Jack v. Kaito sounds fun.

Yugioh dubs got cringeworthy after GX. The way they explain cards now is so mechanical, and they've been doing the exact same thing in the Japanese version for years.

Really kills the immersion when they just read the cards at the opponent.

Yes and no.

If they didn't explain the card effects, it is ridiculously easy to have no clue what the hell just happened, or is about to happen. And that's from the perspective of the audience, to say nothing of how difficult this would be as someone actively participating in the Duel, especially if you legitimately have no idea what a card does.

In real life, players are usually only like 2 feet away with from each, with their cards physically right in front of them, so you would have the option of looking and reading at the cards (although etiquette requires you to ask to do so before touching someone else's cards). In the Yugioh world, players are much farther away from each other, and their cards are likewise much further away from the opponent's sight/reach, so reading the card yourself is more difficult.

Ironically, Zexal indicated that the Disks have a function to display a card's text to the opponent, and the screens on the disk let you view a card's text, useful for your own Set Cards.

But I suspect part of this is all unspoken etiquette. Refusing to tell your opponent important information when that information is immediately relevant would be unfair, and it's often been subtly hinted (indirectly at that), that the game state sort of "pauses" in key reaction moments, as if the opponent has a time limit to activate a card effect when capable of doing so. For example, whenever an attack is declared that will zero a player's life, they seem to have a long time to respond to the monster preparing its attack, and the attack actually hitting you.

Except when you don't have a possible response, in which case the attack executes almost immediately and hits promptly.

It also sometimes seems like effects can be activated on vocal command, in addition to Traps and such being activated with a button corresponding to that S/T zone, so that might explain why players say "I activate X's effect, it does this".

If players didn't announce their effects or explain them, it would be an almost completely silent match, which is not immersive at all, and actually would be pretty awkward. Even if the effect doesn't require opposing input, explaining what you're doing and why you're allowed to do it helps keep the flow of the Duel going, and both players know what's going on.

The thing that annoys me in all the YGO shows in general is the use of effects that nobody knew existed, like in the kind of way Sergey used that synchros destroy and burn effect which Barret didn't even know he'd be triggering. It's not been made explicitly clear that players can see the effects of their opponent's cards that I'm aware of, so when that kind of thing happens and especially when it's game-ending it feels incredibly cheap.

Remember that Kaiba originally created the Duel Disks for that exact reason: he needed to counter Pegasus' mind-reading powers somehow, which he believed to be linked to eye contact, so he designed a dueling system that hampered the players' ability to see their opponent's plays (of course, there's also the fact they initially generated holograms of the user's hand which hid them, but you get the idea).

Also, an interesting theory regarding Serena's fate  has been circulating through the web for a while now:

It's been speculated that Barret, either on purpose or merely by accident, sent him and Serena to the Xyz Dimension instead of Academia. Note that the button he presses on the first image is the third one, which sends the user to Xyz. Of course, he could be simply turning on the display screen (or maybe it's just an animation error), but let's wait and see.

Wow, I didn't even notice the selection screen for the Dimension Move program. I assumed he was activating the display screen, which could make it a simple animation error.

However, I think the theory is at least MILDLY credible, because Barrett is a rather interesting Academia character so far. Not phenomenal, but very interesting.

- Barrett seems to have a high degree of respect for Serena, despite presumably outranking her. When she left to Standard, he didn't try to stop her, but instead wished to accompany her, possibly to protect her because of how Reo wants the Yuzu counterparts to be safe.

- He consistently refers to her as "Serena-sama", and seems quite driven to retrieve her personally, even telling Reo that he would accomplish the task regardless of whether or not Yuri arrives.

- Barrett seemed to think that after retrieving Serena, who had all but gone rogue at this point, that there was even the SLIGHTEST inkling of a chance that he'd be able to convince Reo to put Serena on the front lines in the future. Either he's got a LOT of sway, or he's lying his ass off, and I don't think it's the latter (at least not intentionally lying).

Come to think of it, his line to Serena before teleporting seems a bit weird. He laments that he wasn't able to personally bring Serena to the Professor, but after saying this, he teleports them both. Assuming they are both headed to Academia, what is stopping him from delivering Serena to the Professor? Sure, Serena is unwilling, and he's just been defeated, but being defeated and still achieving half the objective is better than returning empty-handed. He would still logically be credited with the accomplishment.

So either Barrett is disappointed that he wasn't able to come back as a triumphant commander of a successful venture (and instead coming back defeated with only half the objectives completed), or he's disappointed that Serena did not come willingly. If he sent her somewhere else on purpose (from a writing standpoint, it'd be contrived as hell if it was accidental with no indication of it being accidental), it still serves the tactical agenda of removing Serena from harm's way, since Sergey was after her and Yuzu as well, and Serena was currently helpless.

But in all seriousness, he probably sent them both to Academia, but you never know.

The thing that annoys me in all the YGO shows in general is the use of effects that nobody knew existed, like in the kind of way Sergey used that synchros destroy and burn effect which Barret didn't even know he'd be triggering. Amusingly, you see Sergey scanning Barrett's monsters before declaring Kraken's effects. I got the impression he was scanning their card effects to confirm that nothing could stop his plays.

If anything, it would make them going to Xyz next make alot of sense.

Also Sergey scanning for Barett's card effects would make sense since he didn't bother to use the tuner's effect against barett.

of course, this is if hikokubo doesn't be hikokubo as usual and invent the tuner's eff on the spot during the Jack duel.
