After watching the episode, I can see why everyone who think Sora is creepy. Because the way he act so innocently, cutesy clumsy and following Yuya everywhere like glue, it feel like he was luring Yuya into a trap, then spring it on him by being a creepy little devil. To be honest, I did expect him to do that after Des-Toy is Fusion Summoned and torture Yuya to his heart's consent in the next episode.

The one thing I'm interested in is what Yuya's new Entermate monster will do. (The one that looks like a cheerleading Chick)

That's the one thing I like about Sora's deck, the fact that they fit his personality. (With the cute monsters and the creepy fusion monster)

I suppose I'll have to lower my expectatives about Yuya/Yuzu. They'll make it be dense MC x Girl hiding feelings...

Not really... Yuya's response to Sora's accusations (based on the subs) and Yuzu's reaction are more akin to a Rumiko Takahashi-esque main couple dynamic, in which the male protagonist tries to hide his attraction towards the female one through sheer animosity and she reacts by hitting him for being so insensitive.

I have to admit that's not THE ideal romantic dynamic between a anime main couple for me, but it's still better than Yuma and Kotori's AND they still have one of the best chemistries between YGO's "couples" when not fighting each other, IMO at least.

To be fair, that post was before the subs, and I'm yet to see the subs.

Though I still have my guard up on that. Ranma 1/2 was all about the couple as the center, and all the comedy revolving around it. In here, it's a bit more neglectable of a factor so they might just keep it as a running gag, and with Yuzu blush and Yuya saying something dense without a mutual blush kind of makes it look one-sided, not much different than Kotori and Yuma. I'll go watch the subs now and see if it changes something.

I'm calling it now that Sora's actually a girl.

Sora just gives off a straight-up female vibe. Not effeminate, not gay, female.

Also Yuzu and Yuya have no more chemistry than any other mains, certainly not more than Yusei and Aki pre-fucking everything up. They're just as mediocre as all the others atm.

So, we have a few characters that have been confirmed.

Yuya will be dueling an Xyz duelist in Episode 8 who wil have Constellar Pleiades.

And there will be a Fusion duelist in Episode 10 with Gem-Knight Tourmaline.

Dangit. Beat me to it.

So Duel Terminal makes it into the anime eh? What bliss to must see. Constellars and Gem Knights seem like good, basic archetypes to debut, so I'm looking forward to it.

Yubel was a hermaphrodite

I know this is probably going to be met with a Slowpoke.jpg, but... WHA???

Characters making appearances that use existing archetypes? This is unusal (not saying anythiong against it). I'm assuming these will be nameless cameo jobber duelists though, or they'll be making a Breakthrough Skill style appearance rather than proper in duel?

These two characters (Who are named) are a part of the Leo Duel School as reps of their respective courses (Xyz and Fusion), who'll duel against members of the You Show Duel School.

In the original, Yubel, while predominately female, had both male and female parts. Like 1 boob and 1 flat chest.

The dub, however, made Yubel's celestial/hand-only form a boy, and her full form a girl.

I don't believe that's going to last for that much longer, since in Ranma 1/2 itself, if I'm not mistaken, their relationship progressed with time, more so in the manga than in the anime, where filler was abound, and they showed more and more affection towards each other. That's usually how this kind of dynamic plays, and while Arc-V most likely won't spend its entire screentime on the romance developing between the two of them, by opting for this path, and showcasing that choice so early in the series' run, chances are they won't give Yuya and Yuzu's relationship the Kotori/Yuma treatment. Not exactly the same one, at least. All in all, being overtly defensive towards the idea of romance usually fares better in fiction than being completely oblivious.

I'll have to disagree with you, they work much better than Kotori/Yuma, Asuka/Judai or even Anzu/Yugi, at least for me. The scene right before their duel in Episode 2, when they start their little show, illustrates it perfectly: they might bicker a lot, but, deep inside, they are incredibly close to each other; they understand each other's nature, and know exactly how to deal with it, and, as a result, they are able to work together with great success. Maybe I'm being biased because of my own perspectives towards this couple and Arc-V as a whole, but I don't remember watching such a showing of affinity and sync between any of the other main couples in the YGO franchise, except maybe for Aki and Yusei during his duel against Sherry.
