- Yeah, Security would assume that Reira is amongst the Commons and the latter doesn't even bother correcting them, heh.

- At least Reiji was able to one-up JMR by rescuing the Council (and arresting the security inside), securing Serena and confirm that Yuzu isn't in JMR's possession.

- JMR says that he has full control over the city and reminds Reiji that there is nothing he can do and will have Reiji and everyone wiped out by Sergey and for that to happen he needed the public to be focused on the Friendship Cup which is why the next round is beginning in a hurry. He also claims that once he has Yuzu and Serena, not even the Academia will be able to lift a finger, oh how wrong he'll be.

• Well, JMR got screwed over big-time.
• If Security had any common sense, they'd put Catapult in Defense Position as it would've prevented their asses from being triple OTK'd, unless Catapult triggers in Attack Position, in which case, it would be dumb. (Oh wait, two were summoned earlier)
• Reira kicked ass this episode (as did Reiji)
• Still curious on how the hell they implanted Yuya's thing into his brain, unless they either did it while he was synchronized with Yugo OR there's a small buffer period between this episode/next, and that's when they do it. (Probably the latter, although I would suspect it'd take quite a while and I don't think JMR has that time).
• JMR still thinks he's king of the Synchro Dimension; he doesn't understand the situation he's in. The Akaba brothers smashed his Securities into pieces, Yuzu/Serena are safe and Yuri is in the dimension (which he was noticeably pissed over). Only thing left is him implanting stuff into Yuya and repairing Sergey.
• Speaking of him, pretty sure Reiji can smash Sergey into the ground.

[spoiler=86]During Security's first turn could he not have went for Sniping Hazy. While it does have lower burn it wouldn't have mattered as it comes with monster destruction allowing for Security to win. That is assuming all Security decks are copy pasted.

Hazy is Level 7, and from the setup, Security only had access to 6s.

Though, I think these Securities were from the Duel Chasers, so they have Goyo decks.

 

Ones that used Hazy are likely different.

But yeah, Hazy would've been a better choice.

I think they would have Level 1 Tuners to evolve Catapult (at least for Security #2 and #3 though).

Unless I read it wrong, Roger put the device in Yuya's helmet and had it deliver shocks to his brain.

(Yeah, JMR sickens me at this point if he hasn't already done so earlier, because he intentionally rose the voltage to see Yuya squirm)

 

It was great enough that it triggered him to synchronize with all of his counterparts.

That much was epic, though now Yuya yells all his moves.

Finally Crow uses another good BW, and that being Gale.

Well, at least we got to see him blow up Yuya's board.

 

But yeah, even he added to the little "entertainment" earlier.

Melissa didn't appear to like it [the little beat festival / hippo dance], but then again, I don't care for her much anyway because she literally does nothing aside from commentating. It got broken though (and she wasn't the least bit suspicious that Yuya suddenly went crazy).

[spoiler=Episode 87]-It was fun to see Yuya and Crow cooperate in this duel.
-But everything changed when JMR's mind control device got activated. Dammnit JMR, why you had to ruin this coop entertainment. At least, he didn't do surgery on Yuya.
-It seems after the device got activated, Yuya and his counterparts started to "Synchronize" in "Berserk Mode", which was epic imo. So it seems they are linked through brain. Yuzu's and Serena's bracelets started to glow. I'm still interested to find out what Serena's bracelet can do.
-I wanted to see Odd-Eyes Rebellion this episode, but okay...

 

 

Also, no new episode next week.

That was quite the episode

 

[spoiler=Thoughts on 87 RAW]

- How bold of Sora to jump onto the wheels of the helicopter, though we've seen Sora do stuff like this previously.

- Ok, that scene with all the tokens was so cringeworthy.

- Nice to see Crow use 5Ds-era BWs rather than the mediocre at best Arc-V ones (bar Raikiri) and blowing up Yuya's board.

- JMR was being really sneaky, inserting the implant into Yuya's helmet so that it would be in place when Yuya put his helmet on and he would be none the wiser until JMR activates it, and he certainly got a kick out of it when he set the voltage to max. Of course the voltage was enough to trigger Yuya's Berserk Mode which also caused him to synchronise with the other three male "Yu"s, and ofc with Berserk Mode comes the Magicians he used in the Battle Royale (Xiangke and Xiangsheng).

 

 

 

Now we wait two weeks, but that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone given it's new years

But thanks to Akaba Reiji’s resistance, my plans have been slightly disrupted.
However, Yuya must win this Duel no matter what.
It’ll have to be flashy and exciting, as well.
A performance where the citizens of the City won’t be able to keep their eyes away from it for even one moment.
So, he’ll have to have an intense battle against Crow.
Meanwhile, I’ll have to eliminate Akaba Reiji and the City Council with Sergey,
And take Hiiragi Yuzu and Serena back into my hands.

Not much to say on the episode other than I hope JMR lives to regret it. Was reaaalllyy hoping Yuri would get a duel in before I go back to school, but I seriously doubt that now.

And same here, I wanted to see Yuri's deck fleshed out to some extent, but we have to wait for it.

I'd say we'll have to wait at least another month before we see Yuri in action I reckon. I'm sure we'll see his cards in the next set or something.

Chances are that we'll finally see Yuri's dragon fleshed out in there (and yeah, his cards are most likely to be in 909/1001 [whatever Konami decides to do with it]). 

But yeah, probably a month or so before we see him fight (can wait that long).

 

Although we have to wait two weeks for the second half of this fight, because it's New Years (and Japan normally is on break).

 

So yeah, middle of next month, invasion of Synchro begins.

Well as much as the Exec Council didn't want to be involved in the war, as soon as Academia found out Serena/Yuzu was in Synchro, there was nothing they could do to stop it from happening.

While the episode was indeed intense, I sort of felt like little actually happened... we've just got Yuya and Crow starting their duel, then the former going Berserk, and that's it, there's no much to talk besides that.

Well, at least Crow understands what Yuya's trying to do (and had Roger not interfered, he might've done it).

 

Though, he misunderstood why Yuya suddenly attacked him, but to be fair, he had no idea Roger had tampered with Yuya's equipment and shocked his brain.

(He probably finds out later anyway from Sora)

 

Well, we know JMR wanted to operate on Yuya, but he had to settle for that electric shock instead.

Explains how things came out so quickly, but yeah he's a sick man for intentionally shocking Yuya to get him mad.

 

I was expecting OERD to come this episode, but guess that's going to wait until next year.

I'm not watching 87 until I can watch it and 88, but funk if JMR's mini-break down, ace attorney style, wasn't fun. It was even complete with the graceful sudden recovery...

- At least Crow apologised to Yuya about being in cahoots with the tops following his duel with Kurosaki, understanding that both of them are fighting large scale enemies.

- After learning that Reiji and the Exec Council are captured by security, Crow agrees to help because he doesn't want JMR/Security to take over the city either. Their plan of jumping towards the security bureau building sounds bold but one has to wonder if it would've worked had JMR's device not shocked Yuya, there was no way the momentum from the jump alone would've gotten Yuya there, though Bora was on the field at the time. After Yuya entered Berserk mode, Crow went back to his assumption of Yuya being in cahoots with the tops, way to go full circle, then again he doesn't know that this is down to JMR yet.

- Ofc Melissa the Useless didn't enjoy the little entertainment thing and said that Crow/Yuya had to be more serious.

- Sora also noted that for an instant, Yuya's face looked like Yuto's, and unlike their duel in episode 49, Sora actually reacted to DRXD's summon rather than saying nothing.
