i know in advance if its yuugo vs shun , shun wins at the last moment and if it s yuya vs shun , shun loses but accepts to let go of his rage for a bit.

it doesn't make sense for Yuya not to deal Yugo. If anything, Yugo may be the first guy to beat Shun since Sora.

Yugo v Sergey works more for Yugo though, because he cares about Yuzu, as well. Where Yuya would struggle with not getting revenge (barring what the new spoiler said), Yugo would have an easy time going buck wild, and it would be a blaze of glory before facing Yuya in the finals.

Shun is the oddball in this formation, so they could even have him against Sergey for some absurd reason, and have Yuya/Yugo sooner.

Ok...

[spoiler=Reaction to the new Previews]

We knew from last month that it was implied that Yuzu was going to lose, and now we can pretty much confirm this otherwise Sora wouldn't have to reassure Yuya. I'm sure that Sora has gone rogue at this point.

Meanwhile Sergey is definitely a masochist seeing as he wants Yuzu to attack him.

Surprise surprise Yuya will beat Shinji, but I wonder why Tuning Magician shouldn't be used though, hmm

Of course the writers would pit Shun and Crow against each other. I mean a lot of us wanted to see a fight between RRs and BWs anyway.

JMR wanting to collab with Yuya and agreeing with his belief of "making people smile with duels"? Now I'm really confused. We knew that he is rumoured to come from Fusion from the underground and now we are to think that he could be of assistance?

[spoiler=JMR thoughts]I have 2 theories here.

The first is that he fled from fusion with the Real Solid Vision to curry favor of his intruding...

The second is that he's a Fusion agent sent to curry favor with the council and join them to their side.

The first seems less likely, but expalins the RSV a little better. He wanted to get out of fusion and try something new. However, there are a few plot holes here.

The latter makes a lot more sense, and leads to something I'd been expecting anyway; Academia goes about their beliefs the wrong way, but they truly do have a good reason to do so.

First let's rewind, though; JMR wants Dennis, the Council wants Dennis, but... one of these sides specifically said they wanted no parts of the Interdimensional War.

Isn't that strange? They say they want nothing to do with it... Then try to claim Dennis as a personal POW? It really doesn't add up, does it?

Then let's think about JMR's main target from the start... "I want Yuya". He had Yuya duel Jack, he wanted Yuya knocked out, and he wants to form an alliance with Yuya now. But why is that?

Well, as we saw with Galager, JMR collects the best from the underground. He probably wanted yuya to lose, then climb back up on his own merits, so Galager would send Yuya to him. It does add up. He's been assessing Yuya and trying to get hold of him from the beginning. And this is probably why he wanted Yugo and Yuzu so bad as well. He knew there had to be a link between Yuzu/Serena and Yugo/Yuya.

So that tells us that JMR came to this dimension, most likely... To bolster the academia. Then what gives? What's with his apparent like for Yuya's dueling? And why was Sora suddenly around as a predecessor to this?

It's unlikely that JMR is some paragon of peace, but he's probably trying to keep his new home clean... and possibly prepare a counter force of his own. Maybe to overthrow Leo, and get Academia back on track. That it's a duel school, and while the motives are true, they're doing it wrong.

And this probably sows seeds of doubt into Yuya's mind. He now knows what Academia is after/has a vague idea of it, and it makes it harder and harder to agree with Reiji's ideals. And with Xyz next on the map... He'd have an even harder time walking the line and what it truly meant.

And I really think that Himika is going to be the real villain. She gives such a Ragyo vibe, almost all of her scenes make her seem menacing, and she was perfectly fine with using Reira as a doll. Maybe Leo's lawful evil, and Himika's chaotic evil?

Something I thougiht about just now... Episode 80 is The Reunion that Exceeds Dimensions. It mentions 2 old friends meeting... While that could be Sora and Yuya, they'd already met. So what gives? It could be Yuzu, but given the JMR implications, I do wonder...

What if, in addition to that, JMR is a counterpart to Sakaki Yuusho? He looks close enough to Yuusho, as Yugo/etc. look to Yuya, and it is odd that he took a shine to Yuya, who only tried to stall against Security, not fight them.

It could be that, between Dennis and JMR, Yuusho is with Academia, as Reiji/Himika suspected... though Yuya didn't react to JMR earlier, so counterpart is up in the air, but general idea still fits.

Lots of thoughts going around, trying to keep sorting them.

[spoiler=Reaction to the previews]Oh, god, I hope they don't go with the Mai vs Marik route. I don't want another stupid love-interest-is-severely-hurt-in-order-to-motivate-male-character bullshit plot again. At least let Yuzu lose with dignity.
And I hate it Serena's first full on-screen duel in ages will probably result in her loss and to Yuugo, on top of that, who hasn't lost even once since his introduction. I understand we need to have Yuugo and Yuuya face each other in the finals, but it still bugs me.

Yeah, I know I'm "cuddling" the girls again, but I'm so afraid of them having the same fate of all previous main female characters...
On the other hand, we've got SHUN VS CROW - FINALLY!!! Birb vs Birb, rejoice!
But it's obvious Roger is leading Yuuya to a trap. No way a Fusion Spy would agree with his ideals so easily.

On another note, I totally agree with Black about Himika being the real villain of the show, even if I don't buy JMR having any good intentions behind his actions. It just doesn't fit him, given the characterization he's been receiving up to now.

About JMR: It's never too late to go from bad to good, did you remember how Aporia tried to redeem himself? We still don't know why he left Fusion though, he might be banished for something plot-related, like opposing the Professor?

On Selena/Hugo: tbh, aren't you curious on his reaction to a 2nd Rin look-alike? He'll have a hard time again realizing that isn't his love interest, although he has some experience with Yuzu... Also, since Selena is such a tsundere it's bound to have some comedy, at least in the beginning.

Previews: So... Sora again. What's the deal with this kid? We know he enjoys candy, creepy dolls and cardifying people, but what are his motives now? Is he done being an Academy drone and ready for his egao character development? Will he finally decide to let go his sadistic side and be friends with the people he pretended to be friends with? Mystery conjured again.

[spoiler=Reply]

On JMR: while that's definitely not impossible, I don't see it happening right now; he hasn't been giving any kind of development that could lead him into that direction, and nothing in the summaries suggests anything capable of providing him that development in a satisfactory way happening in the upcoming episodes. It's become obvious this man is big elitist and uncaring, somewhat sadistic jerk, so for him to do a 180 degree turn it should take a lot more.

On SereGo: Of course I am. But it just annoys me that her and Yuzu (which, BTW, have been the only plot-relevant female chars this whole arc up to now; just saying) didn't have the opportunity to duel as much as the guys, or, in Serena's case, onscreen, which makes their defeats stand out more, specially when both fall on the same round. I obviously don't want any of them to become an obnoxious, infallible Mary Sue either, but in a franchise (in)famous for its mistreatment of its female characters, that leaves a bad taste in the mouth. All I'm asking is that, if Yuuya vs Yuugo in the finals is a must, then, could you at the very least let one of them reach the semi-finals? And don't use their defeats solely to give motivation the male chars? That's all I'm asking for. Arc-V has been much better about this up to now, but there's still a way to go, IMO.

[spoiler=Arc-V/Decade]Just noticed this, there a some similarities between Arc-V and Kamen Rider Decade.

  • Both have travel between dimensions.
  • Both have a protagonist who can use the power of other duelists/Riders
  • All dimensions seem to have a generic duelist (Security, Obelisk Force, Resistance?) /monster
  • Yuya is known to go berserk and has been theorized to be the final boss, sort of like Decade Violent Emotion

So basically Yuya is Decade, Yuzu is Natsumi, Leo is Narutaki. Not sure on other characters which could be likened, but I'm tired so.

[spoiler=Response]

To be fair. both of them are going into that duel with a perfect win-rate. (Seeing as Selena hasn't lost since her introduction either)

So when will have the confirmation on whether the spoilers are true or not? Because I've heard those in particular weren't 100% reliable and that there's still no physical evidence (i.e. scans/screenshots) to confirm them. All I really want to be true is the Shun vs Crow duel.

Meanwhile...

http://ygorganization.com/more-info-on-musashi/

Gongenzaka WILL be using Musashi (Level 5 SHS synch) at some point.

..........Yeah, screw it.

2ngtw7q.jpg

Get it? Because she's the personification of the WWII Battleship Musashi? *shot repeatedly*

OT- I was wondering when we would get a Level 5 Synchro for Samurais.

Also, I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way about Himika.

[spoiler=Reactions to previews]

77. So Sergey is a masochist then? That probably explains why Damon seemed to get an early lead on.

Although given the tone, Yuzu's probably dead meat here.

78. I guess that Yuya tried to do his "egao" speeches in this fight, but Shinji isn't buying it [i wouldn't blame him] and continues to trash him.

Hmm, and I suppose Sora will make an appearance (if the next episode preview isn't a spoiler).

79. So this is when Yuya Synchro Summons.

Well, I suppose this is when people are going to be shocked, especially the Lancers (and likely Sora).

Reiji might see something though.

80. Uh what?

Up until now, we've considered Roger to be the antagonist here, but now he wants to get closer to Yuya.

OK, this might turn out interesting but I don't know.

81. So Blackwings vs RRs.

I suppose people wanted to see that for a while (and let's see if those predictions in the Game thread come true)

As for Roger, he suddenly wants to believe in Yuya now?

I'm going to take this one with a grain of salt.

[spoiler=Preview News]

If Shun vs Crow turns out to be true, this is the first actual duel of his since him and the others faced Obelisk Force that I'll be able to actually watch. No matter how painful it is, I'll get to see one of my two least favorite characters lose. And that'll make it all worth it.

It better funking be true.

I bet they will make the blackwings win due to those 5d fans and nostalgia , if real life mattered then  RR would win all the way .

I have a strong feeling that either roger or sora have or did go rogue.

omg that new ED, i cant stop laughing XD

dont know why but ,the way that all the synchro dimension just peacefully sleeping together is just funny (even the council and DC227 is there XD) , also that sawatari x serena....

the op isnt bad, but after hanate, it just feel lacking in impact, since it doesnt reveal (or foreshadow) any new things , that magician tuner, timesword magician, enlightment paladin are already revealed, only yuzu's new fusion monster are still unrevealed

EDIT: Poor Dennis is officially out from the lancer and from OP/ED :(

[spoiler=Opening]

-The song seems a bit better than the previous imo. I already want to see the full version.

-I'm glad they started to focus on all Yuyas and Yuzus in this opening.

-There might be an invasion on Synchro dimension after all, since characters from Fusion dimension appear.

-No Sora, but Barret appears. I never thought we'd see him again.

[spoiler=Ending]

-We see Tsukikage drinking, but his mouth is covered by his hand and the Duel Chaser without his helmet, but we still can't see his face. Konami, why you tease us?

-We also see Yuya's old crew. It's been a long time since I've seen them at all.

-I wonder what Sora is doing on Synchro side of the grass field. This might start random speculations that he's from Synchro dimension now.

-All respective Yuyas and Yuzus get to be in one shot (+Shun) except Yuri and Serena. That's cute, but you saying there won't be YurixSerena? But then there's ShingoxSerena for just humor.

Also, no Dennis in Opening or Ending. :)

[spoiler=76 thoughts]

  • OK, so first ten minutes was basically a review of what's been going on since episode 55/56 in the Synchro Dimension, though it shows Roger profiling Serena and stuff.
  • Roger goes crazy as sheet after the Council takes control of Dennis, and decides to send in all of his Duel Chasers to storm the Executive Council. Oh and he breaks his chess pieces.
  • So Security officers are actually robots, or they're brainwashed slaves during that compulsory thing. Meh.
  • Roger appears to confirm his Duel Academy roots, because it made Reiji frown a bit when his father got mentioned.
  • Sora reappears and sends Dennis back to the Academy for further orders.

Personally, I would've liked the episode a bit more if it had less flashbacks and more original content.

New opening/ending are nice.
