[spoiler ep 65 RAW]

- So the council had to intervene to stop Jean arresting Yugo and Yuzu. Is jean not even gonna pretend to be playing by their rules now? I thought he'd be more sneaky.

- Mystery red eye guy is a participant in the tournament. interesting...

- Creepy bellboy kid got given a card by jack, and took it badly because it had 0 atk... I'm gonna assume Jack didn't mean it that way.

- Not sure what Yuya's dialogue was during the flashback, but it seemed to suggest that jack saved his back row for Yuya's second attack, rather than just ending the battle phase on the first, purely to make it more entertaining for the crowd.

- Yuya has a tuner monster now. Hope he makes a synchro of his own rather than nicking Yugo's.

-Judging from the giant holograms, Reira is entered into the tournament too. Maybe we'll finally get the C/C/Cs printed.

[spoiler=65 script]

Last time’s Egao Count: 63

JACK: I believe you said something about Entertainment Dueling, right?

JACK: However, your dueling is nothing more than self-satisfaction!

JACK: It’s anything but Entertainment!

JACK: You don’t have the ability to climb up to the summit where I reside!

JACK: Then, I attack directly with Red Daemon's Dragon Scar-Right!

FIERY CRIMSON HELL BURNING!

Kneel before the King!

Yuya: AAAAAHHHHH!

Yuzu: Yuya!

(Opening Sequence)

Melissa: The Friendship Cup's Special Match has concluded!

The winner is, of course, our Duel King, Jack Atlas!

Spectators: JACK! JACK! JACK! JACK!

Yugo: Jack sure is a badass!

Did you see that, Yuzu? Eh?

Yuzu: Yuya!

Yugo: Whoa--!

Yuzu: Yuya!

Security: Roger that. We’ll capture them.

Yuzu: Excuse me! Please let me through!

Please…! Yuya!

Yuya: My dueling…

Is something that I inherited from my father…

Don’t you dare insult it, Jack!

Yuzu: Yuya! Yuya!

Yugo: Hey! Yuzu!

He’s going to be fine! Just calm down!

Don’t worry about him…

Yuzu: Hey! What are you doing!?

Let go of me!

Yugo: Are you Security’s dogs? What are you trying to pull?

Why would you arrest participants of the Friendship Cup!?

This is a load of bullcrap!

Security: Well then…why don’t you be obedient and come with us?

Dude with visor: We have received order from the City Council to take these two to their lodging.

Other dude with visor: The Public Security Maintenance Bureau cannot override their order.

Yugo: Eh? They’re not from Security?

Jean-Michel: Damn those senile old fools!

Why do they have to interfere…!

Dude with visor: We are very sorry about that.

Other dude with visor: Allow us to be your guides.

Yuzu: Hold on! What about Yuya? Where is he right now?

Other dude with visor: There’s no need to worry.

He is also a participant of the Friendship Cup.

He will be carried to the same lodging building.

Yuya: Ouch…Huh?

Ah...Errr…

If I remember correctly, on the eve of the Friendship Cup…

Yuya: Oh yeah… I lost to Jack Atlas…

Yuya: Just where am I right now?

White Taki: Are you awake yet?

Yuya: Whoa!

White Taki: Whoops, sorry, sorry!

I didn’t plan to spook you.

Yuya: Eh? When did you get in here?

And why are you transparent!?

White Taki: HAHAHAHA!

What you’re seeing is 3D Vision.

We’re not actually in here.

Gael: But we can still see you and communicate with you.

Grey: The participants of the Friendship Cup…

Azul: Are our guests…

Bordeaux: as well as monitored subjects

Right, President?

White Taki: Right. This room is in a penthouse located above the City Council building, where we are.

I think its equipments and facilities are on par with a first-class hotel’s.

This room is pretty cozy, don’t you think?

Yuya: Putting that aside, where is everybody else?

Where are Gongenzaka, Serena, and others?

Gael: Do not worry.

Grey: Everyone is here…

Azul: In the same building…

Bordeaux: Their rooms are different, though.

Yuya: Everyone is here?

Gael: All 16 participants will stay in this penthouse for the duration of the tournament.

Grey: But, they can only stay as long as they keep winning.

Azul: If they lose, they will have to leave immediately.

Yuya: Then, since I lost to Jack, I can’t no longer…

Bordeaux: That was just an exhibition.

Not an actual tournament match.

Right, President?

White Taki: Yes.

The one who will have to leave are the ones who lose in the Friendship Cup.

You’re not in that category, so don’t worry.

Gael: However, if you lose your next match…

Grey: In any case, you can only stay here…

Azul: By winning.

Bordeaux: That’s all we have to say to you.

White Taki: Well then, we’re done here.

Yuya: Ah! Hold on! Is Yuzu…

Yuya: If Yuzu is really participating in the Friendship Cup…

Then she should be in the same building…

Huh?

Why won’t it open?

Yuya: Hey! Hello…Is anyone out there?

If you’re there, answer me!

Is there anyone out there?

Gael: Sorry for the inconvenience,

But you guys will also have stay there.

Grey: It seems that Director Roger of the Public Security Maintenance Bureau doesn’t like you.

Azul: If you stay in a hotel, there’s a chance that Security will come after you.

Bordeaux: We have to ensure their safety…

Right, President?

White Taki: Precisely.

I know it’s a bit restrictive,

But as long as you’re in this building, feel free to do what you need to do.

Reiji: Thank you for being so considerate.

Reira will also participate in the tournament.

I have no problem with him staying in the same building with the other Duelists

Yugo: Woohoo! This is so comfy!

Participating in the Friendship Cup certainly has its perks!

I want to live here for the rest of my life!

Yuya: My Odd-Eyes, and Yuto’s Dark Rebellion…

Back then…It was as if the two dragons were calling out to each other.

And after that…Yugo showed up.

He then summoned his dragon…

Yuya: Could it be that they’re reacting to Yugo’s dragon right now?

If Yugo is here, then Yuzu must be nearby!

Yuzu! Are you here? If you can hear me, give me a respond!

I’ve crossed the dimensions so that I can save you!

Gongenzaka and Sawatari are here as well!

Kurosaki and Dennis are here, too!

Serena also came here because she wanted to save you!

The Principal, Futoshi, Ayu, Tatsuya,

And my mom are all worried about you!

That’s why I will definitely save you!

And then, using my Entertainment Dueling, I will stop the war,

And make the people of every dimension smile! (Egao Count: 63+1=64)

JACK: However, your dueling is nothing more than self-satisfaction!

JACK: It’s anything but Entertainment!

Yuya: Can I do it? Can I stop the war?

Can I really make everyone smile… (Egao Count: 64+1=65)

(Chess Commercial. Brb)

Yuzu: The light is even more intense than when I was in the Duel Palace.

Is it because Yuya and Yugo are closer to each other now?

Yuya…

Yuya: Jack is certainly strong.

Yuya: Rebellious Lightning Disobey!

Yuya: Here comes the finishing blow!

Go!

Rune-Eyes Pendulum Dragon!

Attack Jack Atlas directly!

JACK: I activate the Action Magic, Underworld Avoid,

And Special Summoned one Underworld Avoid Token.

Underworld Avoid Token can negate an attack once per turn.

Because of this effect, Rune-Eyes Pendulum Dragon’s attack has been negated!

Yuya: However, depending on the Level of its Fusion Materials, the number of Rune-Eyes’ attacks will change!

The Level-2 Trump Girl allows it to attack twice!

So it can attack one more time!

Go! Attack Underworld Avoid Token!

JACK: Trap, activate! Reject Reborn!

It negates a monster’s attack and ends the Battle Phase!

Yuya: Reject Reborn can end Battle Phase…

If he had used it when Dark Rebellion attacked…

He would be able to negate all of my attacks…

However, Jack took on Dark Rebellion’s attack,

So that when Rune-Eyes attacked him, it would make it look like he was in a pinch, with no way out.

JACK: Then, it destroys all monsters on my field.

And during this turn, I can Special Summon as many monsters as the number of negated attacks from my graveyard to my field!

Yuya: Say what!?

JACK: I negated two of your attacks.

Be reborn!

Red Wyvern!

Red Resonator!

Yuya: After that, he Synchro Summoned using his two revived monsters.

JACK: The roar of the king shall make the heaven and earth tremble!

Let the power of the one and only supreme ruler be carved into your soul!

Synchro Summon!

The savage soul!

Red Daemon's Dragon Scar-Right!

Once per turn,

Red Daemon's Dragon Scar-Right can destroy all Special Summoned monsters with ATKs lower than or equal to its own ATK, and inflict 500 damage for every destroyed monster!

ABSOLUTE POWER FLAME!

JACK: Kneel before the King!

FIERY CRIMSON HELL BURNING!

Yuya: Reject Reborn is a card that Jack set in his first turn.

He had me dancing in the palm of his hand from beginning to end.

Yuya: It all went according to his calculation.

That is Jack’s entertainment style.

I gave in to his provocations and lost my cool,

After that, the only thing I could think about was defeating him…

That was a big mistake.

Yuya: It’s just like Jack said…

I probably cannot reach his level yet.

Of course, I’m not on dad’s level, either.

Can I really stop the Interdimensional War and make the people of this city smile…? (Egao Count: 65+1=66)

Yuya: Who’s there?

You’re still here, right?

Please answer me!

Sam: It’s me.

Yuya: Then, you’re…?

Sam: I was your guide in the Duel Palace yesterday.

Yuya: Guide?

Ah!

Yuya: Is it something that you can’t tell me?

Sam: No. It’s nothing like that…

Yuya: What’s your name?

Sam: It’s Sam.

Yuya: Sam. Why did you give me this card?

Sam: I want you to give it back to Jack.

If you win the Friendship Cup…

You’ll be able to fight him again…

Melissa: All right! Take a look at this!

Today, about 200,000 people have gathered in the Duel Palace!

But that is to be expected, since today is when the City’s biggest Duel festival, the Friendship Cup, finally begins!

Following the eve of the tournament…

I, Melissa Claire, has been tasked with covering this event, and I shall now swoop down toward the stadium!

Off I go!

The City is one! We are all friends!

Yuya: So you want me to return this card to Jack…

What’s going on?

Sam: Jack was the star of hope for us Commons.

He was born and raised in the slums.

He entered the Friendship Cup, and defeated one Top Duelist after another.

I admired him a lot for that.

Three years ago, he won the tournament, and became the first Common to become the Duel King.

I was just so happy, as if I was the one who won.

Sam: However, Jack soon changed after that.

Yuya: Changed?

Melissa: Landing successful!

I sure am popular, ain’t I?

Amidst this sea of excitement, I shall introduce the 16 Duelists who will participate in this year’s tournament right now!

First off, is this boy!

Last night, he lost against the King,

And was branded as a failure of an Entertainer.

The Rookie!

Sakaki Yuya!

Melissa: Wait, considering how many people had fallen before the King, isn’t it a bit too harsh?

I’m not the one who made this speech, I swear!

Tops 1: Hahaha! Certainly, he is a rookie!

Tops 2: It’s not fair if you compare him to Atlas-sama.

Sam: When Jack became King,

He soon became the No. 1 star of the City.

In the City, the winners are the ones who get all the money.

As Jack kept winning,

Many companies and well-to-do people approached him.

And Jack soon amassed a huge amount of wealth.

And eventually, Jack began to despise us Commons.

Some random dude: Hey!

Sam: Ouch…

Some random dude: You can’t just come in here!

King!

Sam: Um…I’ve been a fan of yours for a long time!

Back when you were known as the No. 1 Duelist of the Slums!

I want to become just like you!

But right now, I have no money, or cards…

That’s why I’ll continue to cheer you on!

From now on, as a representative of the Commons, I’m sure you will…

JACK: If you don’t have a card, I will give one to you.

I think this card suits you very well.

Yuya: So it’s this card?

Sam: A monster with a low level and weak ATK.

He said that it suits me very well…

He made fun of me, even though we’re both Commons!

Jack had changed!

The moment Jack Atlas became King and got his money,

He became a traitor who sold his soul to the Tops!

Yuya: Traitor?

Melissa: Following Shinji Weber, we have Crow Hogan, who is also a Common.

Can they become stars just like Jack Atlas?

Tops 2: What is she talking about?

Atlas-sama is not even a Common at this point.

Tops 1: As long as he keeps winning, Jack will be us Tops’ ally!

Commons 1: Jack, you say?

He’s just a traitor who sold himself to the Tops!

Commons 2: Hah? That’s nonsense!

Even now, Jack is still the Commons’ hero!

Commons 1: Wanna fight, punk?

Commons 2: What did you say?

Sam: Jack becomes more arrogant with each passing day,

And looks down on anyone that is not him.

There are fans who think he’s cool and all, but I…

That’s why I want you to beat him in my place!

Yuya: Why me?

Sam: Because you said that you don’t want him to insult you.

Yuya: Don’t you dare insult it, Jack!

Sam: If you are still bitter about your loss to Jack, I’m sure you can understand how bitter I am toward him…

Yuya: Sam…

Melissa: All right! We have introduced all 16 participants of the tournament…

Hey, are you listening to me!?

Hey, everyone!

Do you remember the slogan of this tournament?

The City is one! We’re all friends! Right?

Ah, come on…! We don’t have a lot of time, so I’m just going to say it.

With that out of the way,

The Dueling can finally begin!

The Duelists among the 16, who shall have the honor to fight in the opening match are…

Crow Hogan and Gongenzaka Noboru!

GONGENZAKA: I, GONGENZAKA the man, shall restore honor to Yuya’s name!

Crow: I don’t want to be a show for the Tops, but…

Will Jack be watching us as well?

Sam: Yes.

Crow: I’m gonna show him.

I’ll let that traitor see how strong the Commons’ bonds are.

Sam: Right now, I’m working for the Tops.

I know I’m in no position to say it,

But I hate them.

I heard that you guys came from some other towns.

I don’t want to drag people who are not Tops or Commons into this…

But if it’s you, I’m sure you can understand how bitter I am toward him…

Yuya: I understand.

I’m still bitter, even right now.

I want to answer Sam’s feelings, as well.

But…Can I really do it?

Can I really have a rematch against Jack and win it?

(Preview for Episode 66)

Melissa: Well then, here comes the Duelists who shall fight in the opening match!

Crow Hogan and Gongenzaka Noboru!

GONGENZAKA: I, the manly GONGENZAKA, shall how you the strength of the Lancers!

Crow: I will win…

And show my kids that we Commons can achieve anything if we try!

Melissa: It looks like the fierce battle is about to start!

Yuya: Next time on Yu-Gi-Oh Arc-V:

Opening Match! Crow vs. Gongenzaka!

The fun has just begun!

OK, so Security tries to arrest Yuzu and Yugo, but the Council stops them.

Needless to say Roger is pissed off + smashed his chess board.

* insert sarcastic laugh at him *

Of course, I did read the script, so some stuff there.

Jack apparently became consumed by money and started hating the Commons.

So, he became King and stopped giving a crap about the people he tried to represent.

That's why Crow hates his guts now, along with a few other guys.

I wouldn't blame them; money and power tend to corrupt people (why does this sound familiar?)

Jack giving Sam (the guide kid) that particular card meant he was weak and other stuff.

Hell, we have no clue on what it does, but now Yuya's given the task of beating the sheet out of Jack in Sam's place.

At least he actually reflected on what happened in the duel, and admitted that he got consumed by that statement that Jack made about his loss.

If Yuya didn't get lost with it, and thought the duel through rationally, he might have won (although Jack would still trigger Reject Reborn anyway).

Hmm, Yuya might have still lost anyway, but he could've likely avoided the OTK from RDA-Scarright the following turn.

Then he thinks about if he can make people smile, and become like his father and end this dimensional war.

Well Yuya, it depends on how strong your convictions are. How much are you willing to put on the line for your ideals?

-----

So in a nutshell, Jack is his pre-Fortune Cup self turned up on high.

That seems about right.

[spoiler=Jack's "gift"]

The funny thing is, I don't think the card was SUPPOSED to be an insult at all, but it understandably was interpreted as such.

Low Level = just starting out.

Low ATK = not strong

But isn't it a Tuner? That means it has a lot of potential, or can bring out the potential in others, and become something much greater.

If it was a truly terrible card, why was Jack carrying it in the first place? he was truly disregarding Sam's low status, why'd he ACTUALLY give him a card, rather than just brush past him or something like that? Jack worked himself up from the bottom of the barrel. He wasn't given an opportunity like in 5Ds to go from nothing to the top, he actually FOUGHT for this right on his own.

Jack always liked his fans. He loved showing off for them. In 5Ds, he eventually accepted that he had thrown away his past life for power, but the circumstances here in Arc-V are different. He used his real power to get where he is. He continues to be a testament to the fact that even the Commons can go higher. Nothing Jack has actually done indicates that he doesn't want to be this symbol of someone at the top who fought tooth and nail to get there.

Of course he's going to maintain the demeanor of the implacable King. If someone among the Tops dethrones him, it'll reinstate the status quo. As long as he's the King, he's an inspiration to the Commons, plus it benefits him directly. Even the exhibition matches are done to drive the participants to do their absolute best.

Subs are out.

[spoiler=Thoughts]

I think there is a lot more than meets the eye when it comes to Jack. That card he gave Sam obviously has some kind of good effect, otherwise why hide its lore. I dont think he is a traitor so much as unable to help the Commons the way he wants to.

So its a 16-man tourney. Almost ALL the spots are taken by Lancers; Either a bunch of dudes got kicked or they REALLY dragged their feet on getting entries sorted. Though at least this way their odds of a Lancer winning are pretty high.

Glad to see thetes a plausible reason to keep Yuya and Yugo from getting close enough to trigger Yuzu's bracelet and port one away.

Is Tsukikage not in the tournament? Why the hell not? Why is Reiji not in it, he's literally their best duelist!

Next ep not only are we getting a level nine synchro for Gongenzaka, we get a new Tuner as well, if the three tuning rings are anything to go by.

[spoiler=Tuning Magician]I have a hunch that Tuning Magician will be used to Synchro Summon a Synchro "Pendulum Dragon" monster. The pattern is kinda similar when Yuya got Polymerization and Fusion Summoned Rune-Eyes Pendulum Dragon for the first time: A superior duelist from a different dimension (Sora, Jack) gives a card to an inferior duelist (Yuzu, Sam) and then Yuya receives that card from them. This is how Yuya will inherit Synchro Summoning.

That's a nice theory, actually. I suspected the card might get Pendulum-transformed into that Pendulum Tuner designed for Odd-Eyes, but yours seems more likely because other cards Yuya explicitly Pendulum Transformed (the first Pendulum Magicians and Odd-Eyes) didn't change their stats.

Plus, Reiji did note Yuya's Fusion evolution occurred to his feelings regarding Yuzu's drive to improve, so having a similar, but different feeling regarding Jack and his need to improve should awaken another evolution.

[spoiler=Matchup predictions]

Crow will win. Betting on it.

After double-checking, it IS confirmed Tsukikage duels Shinji. I'm betting something happens to force someone (likely the rando Duel Chaser thats entered) to drop out and be replaced. IDK why they would go through all that song and dance to get Tsukikahe entered... But I'm not sure who would win.

Heard rumors Sawatari will duel Yuzu. That could be cool. I would like him to win. Guy cant catch a break. I WANT him to be good, just ONCE.

Chojiro, Duel Chaser, Lizard head, and friend of lizard head are all expendable, and one will probs lose to Roger's big lackey as a sacrificial lamb kind of thing. Most likely Chojiro, as he's the one we actually care about.

Shun will duel Dennis, to settle the score. And maybe Serena or Yuzu, if he duels them b4 Dennis, as I'm calling Dennis winning and eventually dueling Yuya. He may duel against Serena as well.

Yugo duels Serena just for more jokes about his name :V Almost certainly makes it to the final against Yuya. I hope he wins the whole shebang.

Edit: Yeah, doubt the Magician will become a Pendulum. Not only would it suck then, being level one and thus unable to be Pendulum Summoned, it kind of ruins the point of the card being more than meets the eye.

[spoiler=Sub thoughts]

Most of the stuff I wrote a few hours ago in RAW still hold, although I am going to retract part of the thing I mentioned about Jack.

While yes, Jack did give Sam a weak/low-Level card, we don't know what it is capable of.

It might actually be a good card, or maybe it is indeed bad. I'm leaning towards the former, and saying that it may be useful despite its low Level.

What is that thing Yusei usually said; all cards have value, no matter if they're weak or strong.

I have to say that the two Tops people who appeared in the opening ceremonies did have negative words for Yuya comparing him to Jack, but then again what do you expect?

(They also talked bad about Crow and Shinji)

They're high class citizens, and act like they're full of themselves. Shouldn't be much different than 5Ds or actual rich people who act like bastards.

At least Melissa admitted that she didn't write that thing about Yuya being a failure at entertainment; even though there is some degree of truth in there.

Yuya isn't up to his father's level, let along Jack.

--------

Roger doesn't like Reiji either; then again, what the hell doesn't he like?

Technically, Reiji and Yuya (along with the Lancers) are telling the truth; either Roger is being hard-head about it and doesn't want to factor it in; or he knows, but thinks other dimensions shouldn't be involved with protecting his dimension.

About Tuning Magician, hopefully it stays an Effect Monster.

Being Pendulum has more flaws than any possible benefits.

That could be foreshadowing for the first appearance of a Scale 0 Pendulum, you know? Or maybe she'll get an effect tha allows her to be SS from the Extra Deck. I say the chances that she becomes a Pendulum are high because, otherwise, she won't receive the same support as Yuya's other Magicians despíte being one herself (her Japanese name contains the word Majuutsushi like them).

If they made a Xyz Pendulum monster that can be Pendulum Summoned, I don't see why they couldn't make a fully functional Level 1 Pendulum.

Like we mentioned already, we don't know what it's capable of doing at this moment; other than it's a low Level monster with not so great attack (exact value unknown).

We'll see what it can do, but given the name, I'm probably going to agree on the fact that Yuya will likely gain access to some Synchro stuff in the coming days.

Whether or not he gets Meteorburst, we don't know.

[spoiler= Thots]

So they actually did acknowledge Yuya's misplay. Not in the way I think they should have (acknowledge that going into the fusion and Xyz were the bad ideas, not the ignorance of the set card), but close enough that I'm satisfied.

Crow vs. Gongenzaka COULD go either way. This show has shown that it can be unpredictable at times, and I can think of this reason that it can go either way: The episode preview makes it sound like Gong is going to be floundering a lot in the first half of the duel (assuming 2 episodes), and from a writing stance it doesn't make much sense to just have Gong be put down after not doing so good. It's not good TV; it's just not fun to watch. In the second half of the duel, it could go either way. Knowing that Yuya will be fighting Yugo (it's guaranteed), there's a chance that we won't see Yuya vs. Crow; but at the same time there's a very good chance.

I suspect that Crow will win, but I'm giving the show a benefit of the doubt. Also I want to see Gongezaka win.

I dunno, this disturbs me.

THE MANLY GONGENZAKA is literally my favorite Yugioh character, period. But now he has to go to an acknowledged creator's pet... And a deck which is a producer's favorite.

Plus it's Crow. Imagine the outcry if he lost.

But I don't want THE MANLY GONGENZAKA to become the Yamcha, just a stepping stone in tournament arcs.

On a positive note, tuning for nine. I can't wait to see it!

And then THE MANLY GONGENZAK is trolling us and summons Trish. XD Jking.

Unless Sawatari shows off more of his Deck, it's not looking too good for him and his chances in the Friendship Cup.

I'm sure we all remember that Sawatari has a large losing record than he does for winning at the moment. (Can probably predict he'll be the first Lancer to get booted)

He's essentially comic relief at this point, unless he redeems himself.

--------

As for Reira appearing in here, it will be a nice change to see his Deck for once.

That, and for him to be dueling stronger opponents; only fights he's been in are against Ayu, Tatsuya and Futoshi [shivers-kid]; latter two fights were off-screen or cut off until last move.

If the writers had kept him on Yosens (and he remembered how to keep up), he'd probably have a better win record than he does now.

Yuya only won that fight against him due to luck-drawing Magician's Card and whatever else he did that time.

Plus, it'd also promote the Deck IRL even further (since it was in existence at the time the episode aired), and possible more support cards in the future.

(Although that might/might not have gone well with some people; tbh, they're already a pain to deal with, given the cards they already have; fun to play though but expensive.)

* end TCG stuff *

We can hope Sawatari can make do with his new Deck + actually pose an actual threat, but only time will tell on that.

Yeah, $28 for it is a lot more than I'd like to spend on a Deck; especially one that won't be playing in a regionals anytime soon.

(Then again, online has no price limit + never runs out of copies of stuff. Kamaitachi/Kamanitachi are sold out down here.)

Anyway, back on anime stuff; it'll be interesting to see what unfolds as time goes on.

That in mind, one of the episode summaries did mention Tokumatsu saying stuff about what happens to those who lose in the Fortune Cup.

We know the Council told Yuya "should you lose, you're out of the penthouse", but I have a feeling Tokumatsu knows about some other things besides that.

However, we shall see (it'll be interesting to see what Shinji has as well).

Finally got around to watching the subs

[spoiler=Thoughts on 65 subbed]

- The council peopletold Yuya that everyone in the Friendship Cup would be staying in the penthouse and can only stay there if they kept winning, and they reassured Yuya that because he lost the exhibition match he wouldn't have to leave the penthouse because it was different to the official matches. To be fair, I'd have queried about that if I was in Yuya's shoes, I mean it doesn't hurt to ask does it.

- When Jack gave Sam the card, he said that it fit him perfectly because of its low level/stats, but whilst some people would deem it as an insult, others would see it differently like saying that it could open the door to new possibilities for example.

 - I mean it probs has a good effect, and that Jack may have overlooked that in favour of its stats/level

- Although Sam wanted Yuya to return it to Jack

- I see why Crow thought that Jack was a traitor as Sam mentioned that Jack became a traitor to the Commons by selling his soul to the Tops. To be fair they say money and power tend to corrupt people so that shouldn't come as a surprise.

 - That definitely caused ruckus in the audience, among other thing.

[spoiler=Regarding Yuya's runthrough of the duel]

I have to give Yuya props for admitting that he lost his cool in the latter stages of the duel and that he acknowledged that he played into Jack's hands after turn 1.

At least he also pondered if things would've gone differently if Jack used Reject Reborn on DRXD.

Scenario 1 (w/ Rune Eyes): Jack would've negated that 1 attack and got 1 monster in return.

Scenario 2 (w/ Odd-Eyes): Same as scenario 1, however if he let that through and used Reject Reborn on OEPD's attack, then it would've been negated by Timegazer as the trap would've targeted.
