What do you look for in Manga/Anime?

All I really care is that it's fun. Anime's kinda too varied to really judge it by a factor or two alone. Some have good fanservice, but the plot isn't serious. Some is the opposite. Some has a good concept but the execution isn't quite on par, and some executes well a mediocre thing. Some has a character-driven story, some are plot-driven, some go out of their way to subvert, 'deconstruct', or be unique in their plot points, some just play it straight. With that in mind there's too much variety on what a title can do to really have a certain trait I like. For example fanservice in Highschool DxD is toptier, but the fanservice in Kill la Kill is kinda s***. Either way, point is, if it's fun it's good enough. Whether or not the elements that makes up the show are well-made or shit-tier, if it's fun it's fun. No such thing as a guilty enjoyment.

Having a good OP/ED DOES greatly help make me like an anime though. Can't hold it against an anime for having a bad OP or ED, but a good one definitely makes me more hype for it.
