Premier Alexander Romanov
You know, since EVERYONE was so curious about my Budget Dark World Deck, I posted it, then got swarmed by people wanting to turn it into the exact same Dark World Deck everyone else uses. Can't we have the option to just SHOW a deck? Kazooie
No.There's no reason to just SHOW a deck. Literally, you want to get rid of the clause hat keeps the section from bein filled with 60CardHighlanderMadeWithYugi'sDeckMixedWithThisSillyYellowThingIFoundInMyCloset because you don't take criticism well.WHICH by the way is the entire point of the Jack Witt clause. The Jack Witt clause means you waive your right to complain about feedback, in a section MADE for people to receive feedback on their decks. Seriously.
Just Crouton
It's a deck help section. If you want to keep playing a bad deck, don't post it.
Miror B
If all you wanted was to show off a deck you should have done it in pm. Deck section is to rate/fix decks, not attention hog.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
I have to agree with Gardevoir. The Decks section is for stuff people are using for locals and/or competitive DN play. If you're going in there, you do realize that you're asking for people to comment/offer fixes. If the clause gets removed, then as Diantha mentioned, we'll get members who post Decks that have no real theme (60+ card deck, copy/paste of whatever character and/or no real theme to how the Deck should be working [there has been a couple of those]) Yeah, it's understandable that you don't want to use the same Deck everyone's using for each format, but as you noted at the bottom of the deck pic, you lost 2-0 to a Blackwing player. The comments on it are to help make your Deck run better, so you don't get swept 2-0 in the future (didn't mention how much you lost by in those rounds, but that's unrelated to the topic). If you just want to show the Deck, you could just make a screenshot of it on DN or whatever program you use to duel online and make it a clickable link in your sig (or as a pic). That should work. Premier Alexander Romanov
Sorry about all of this.On another note, I discovered a loophole in the censorship system.
evilfusion
The Jack Witt clause is definitely a necessity. Especially in the earlier days of my modship in the section, there were often new members and such arrogantly posting a Deck and then throwing a fit whenever someone gently tried to explain what was wrong with their themeless mash of 60 cards. The Jack Witt clause, however, does not mean that the topic creator MUST accept all the advice. But they can't take the stance of "Shut up about my awesome Deck". Disagreement and personal Deckbuilding preferences is perfectly okay, but relies heavily on how the topic creator explains their reasoning and stance. If the discussion reaches a point where it's clear the topic creator is unwilling to modify their Deck in any form or accept any of the criticism, then it's in violation of the JW clause, as there literally is nothing to discuss or give advice on.
