Blake
Rank 5 LIGHT Fairy-Type Xyz Effect Monster ATK 2900 DEF 2400 4 Level 5 LIGHT monsters If this card on the field would be destroyed, you can detach 2 Xyz Materials from this card instead. When all Xyz Materials are detached from this card: Inflict 1500 damage to your opponent. If this card has “Number 102: Star Seraph Sentry” as Xyz Material, it gains this effect. • Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card then target 1 monster your opponent controls; that target’s ATK becomes 0, also its effects are negated. Worst Over Hundred Chaos Number. I'm sickened at how it's just useless in every way, even with RUM - TSO, and it's not even a quick effect for the second half. Just totally disappointing waste of paper and I'm sad because they didn't give the worst Over Hundred Number anything to work with when he was one of the ones I wanted to see improve. evilfusion
Yeah...mediocre. Too reliant on the unnecessarily difficult to Summon No.102 for its best effect, and the random 1500 burn when it runs out of Materials is...well, kind of interesting, but wasted on this thing. Wildflame
It sucks when Durbe is your favorite Barian... Only non-generic over hundred Number, with a mediocre effect, and a worse Number C. Dissappointed.
玄魔の王
If this were actually a Star Seraph, and 102 were generic, and the archetype was better...it would be cool. I get hat they were going for, but it didn't work.
evilfusion
It sucks when Durbe is your favorite Barian... Only non-generic over hundred Number, with a mediocre effect, and a worse Number C. Dissappointed. Durbe had a lot of potential. They squandered too much of it. His archetype was awful, he only Dueled twice, they only gave him 3 monsters and both Duels he used the exact same plays, even his Spells/Traps were bad, his Over-Hundred is outclassed, a 3 Mat, and non-generic...and his Rank-Up is terrible by virtue of being reliant on the Over-Hundred. The Seventh One is the only way to give this thing value. And why the hell are you using The Seventh One on this, rather than 101, 104, or 107? Maeriberii Haan
I wonder if this being an archfiend has any relevant value....
goddamnit names are a pain
Theoretically you could detach and attach in the same turn for some really bad burn loop, right?
Toffee.
It had so much promise... :<Really. Much like you, Black, I also wanted to see this being much better. Current version is silly, but when compared to the original, in terms of upgrades, it isn't exactly anything that drastically different.

I don't think even making it a quick effect would have been that helpful. The one thing it needed from the beginning was for its base form to be generic, and it couldn't have that for some reason. If you LBF this from any Rank 4 with 1 Material, you at least get one protection and a little burn, but that hardly justifies it.
evilfusion
So let's recap... No.102 is a Rank 4 with 3 Materials being LIGHT specific. Immediately, it is outclassed by all generic 3 Mat Rank 4s, notably No.104. It only has 2500 ATK. If it would be destroyed, you can save it by giving up all its Materials, and halves the damage you take that turn. Once per turn, it can detach to negate a monster effect and halve the ATK. That means it's already struggling against Paladynamo, which negates an effect and turns to 0, permanently, and draws a card if it dies, plus only requires 2 LIGHT Materials. Then the Rank-Up only gets an extra 400 ATK. And it requires 2 Materials to protect itself. So...if you Summoned No.102 with 3 Materials and Rank-Up, it can protect itself up to twice. And then it'll burn for 1500 randomly. It requires 102 to get its other effect. Considering how meh 102 is...this isn't going to happen often. But you negate an effect and turn to 0. Exactly what Paladynamo does, but with WAY too much effort, even though it can do this multiple times while it's alive compared to Starliege's one-time. The Seventh One can be used for this to be a 2900 beater, negate something and turn to 0, and deal 1500 burn. But when compared to what the other Over-Hundreds can do...C101 does all the set-up for its revival effect and steals SSed monsters. C103 is a bit more conditional, but has some neat tricks with burn damage and banishing stuff, plus can revive similarly to C101. C104 is evil incarnate, as an MST on Summon with a 3000 body that'd be able to negate a Monster Effect on the Field, force a discard, then halve your opponent's LP. C105 is Volcasaurus that also burns for half ATK if it kills monsters in battle. C106...is a 2600 beater that can negate everything on the Field by chaining to an activation. And C107 is a 4500 that can negate everything, prevent activations for the turn, and can potentially attack 3 monsters. No competition for C102 at all.
