Factory actually doesn't do all that much for the deck, mainly because the two best targets, Shark and Golem, are absolutely awful almost any other time. If Orthros was either NOT a Semi-Nomi or could activate it's effect whenever it was Special Summoned, Factory would actually be tons better, but as is, Factory is not the hero Scraps needed. Also, Scrapstorm is surprisingly bad past the first few turns, which surprises me. I don't have a ton of experience with Scraps, but between me and Black, his testing has Storm being dead anytime past turn 3. Scrap Mind Reader was one of my choices, not Black's. It allows easy access to both Naturia Synchros with the Shark and Factory Combo, especially if you have an Orthros in hand, or a level 4 already on the field. Just a nice one-of tech, though drawing it would suck for sure. That seems to be the reoccuring theme in Scraps, bad draws for days, and Factory honestly doesn't help the deck as much as predicted from small testing. Also considering swapping the number of Kage's and Chameleons around, but not sure yet.
Toffee.
Shark + Factory is the optimal opening in theory-Not necessarily. No, I'm not saying it's bad, I'm just saying that it's a little on the fragile side, if only because of that bizarro chance you lack either Factory OR Terraforming. But that's a moot point, because you also have Orthros, which basically does the same thing, but is searchable by Yard.As for Factory, Factory is actually pretty cool even if you don't Summon Golem or Shark with it, since it's literally just an E-Tele that rewards you for playing the Archetype like your supposed to do.Also, Scrapstorm is surprisingly bad past the first few turns, which surprises me. I don't have a ton of experience with Scraps, but between me and Black, his testing has Storm being dead anytime past turn 3.I'm curious as to how you found it bad, when it's basically the deck's Lance. Kazooie
Not necessarily. No, I'm not saying it's bad, I'm just saying that it's a little on the fragile side, if only because of that bizarro chance you lack either Factory OR Terraforming. Orthros is way too restricted to be really good. Also Shark and Factory really is the optimal opening because Masked Chameleon is one of the things that makes it really good.Factory is good, but it burns out in usefulness really quickly, mainly because it's best targets are, as mentioned, not exactly great outside of it. I'm curious as to how you found it bad, when it's basically the deck's Lance. That was mostly Black's findings. His reasoning is that by their third turn, Scraps are now either fully set up, or already losing. It's just a matter of the timing on the card being really precise and not worth running at 3 considering it can't really be compared to Lance as they really don't do the same thing in Scraps. The thing about Storm is that you lose field presence, which Scraps honestly have had a hard time maintaining so far. Toffee.
it can't really be compared to Lance-Actually I never said it was better then Lance, but rather...It's similar to Fircle Circle/Pandemic/etc, in the sense that it's the archetype's [X] card that basically does the same thing Lance does, to which it lets your monster dodge stuff. Of course, I'm disregarding the ability Lance has that lets you run over stuff, in the event you want Damage Step shenanigans. Also, to be fair, Golem is more of a safety net for the Synchros, rather then an offense force, despite the fact it can do both.Oh, and you ever tried using Photon Thrasher over Kage? Not saying you should replace it, since you have King to search it, but like... Thrasher is more of a beater, and can also let you Synchro right away with Beast and what-not, in addition to also being Xyz fodder. Oh, and it's another target for Chameleon. Azuh
I'm with you, I'm not liking Scrapstorm in the Deck no more. I only have barely used it when I'm running too many Goblins on my field, just to get a decent draw in. Otherwise, I've found it dead
