Insect King Antleo

Wanted to make insects more playable so i made these cards.

Insect King Antleo:

As a generic Rank 7, it looks like a worse Dracossack. It has 200 more ATK and makes "Insect Barrier" more playable, but that's about it. Also, the name of the Token could be better.

 

I suggest giving him a different effect that doesn't resemble Dracossack's, and a more creative name for the Token. I know it is the same Token that "Insect Queen" summons, but neither of these cards require specifically a "Insect Monster Token" for an effect so you might as well make a different Token for Antleo, perhaps one with a higher ATK/DEF or with an effect.

 

Antleo's Roar:

The card looks great: it is basically a ROTA for Insects with the added bonus of placing the monster on the field. Insect decks would appreciate this. My only concern is that Inzektors would get 3 more searchers for Hornet/Dragonfly, but I think the problem would be Inzektors and not this card.

 

Insect Sentry:

The card looks gimmicky. Yes, it is essentially a 1-card Rank 6~7 Xyz, but it requires you to run Insect Queen and Princess, which are not really good and you wouldn't like drawing them. Personally, I would rather use him for his "Foolish Burial" effect and leave the Queen and Princess out of the deck, or perhaps run just 1 Princess, who can be Normal Summoned with 1 Tribute if I happen to draw her.

 

If the goal of this card is supporting Insect Queen and Princess, you could take a tip from "Harpie Channeler", who discards for summoning Harpies from the deck, including the Pet Dragon. For instance, "Insect Sentry" could discard an "Insect" monster to Special Summon a Queen/Princess from the Deck, allowing you to discard Queen or Princesses that would otherwise remain dead in the hand.

Now Insect Sentry is a very strong card. Insects put in lots of work from the Graveyard; Level Eater, Shiny Black "C", Naturia Ladybug...but this is a problem because it offers too much to Inzektors, allowing you to dump Hornet and also go into Rank 6 or 7 on the first turn. This would also be a delayed searcher for any Insect in the game since you can make M7.

 

Antleo's Roar would make Inzektors absurdly consistent and spawn a bunch of new loop OTKs with Centipedes and Dragonflies.

 

Antleo's Type change is the most useful ability since it prevents effects and Xyz Summons that require a specific Type.
