Blue-Eyes White Dragon Vs Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon

Recommended Posts

Blue-eyes toon dragon effect : This card cannot be special summoned unless 'Toon world' is on the field. This card cannot attack in the same turn that it is summoned. Pay 500 life points each time this monster attacks. When 'Toon world' is destroyed, this card is also destroyed. If your opponent doesn't control a Toon monster on the field, this card may inflict Direct damage to your opponents life points. If a toon monster is on your opponent's side of the field, your attacks must target the toon monster.

So which blue eyes do you prefer?? I think that toon dragon is a bit risky because of toon world.

If I was asked depending on the banlist... BEWD because of the easiness of dumping him through Advanced Ritual Art, and then reviving him through whatever means that exist.

Toon? Blue Eyes Toon Dragon is BAD, since he's a Type A Toon, thus completely dependable on Toon World, which sucks in his own right.

One's normal and the other is a Effect Monster. (And he can't even attack directly on his first turn either the effect anyway.)

Anywayz if the opponent is ready for your Toon World Deck; your screwed. If someone is ready for your Dragon Deck your screwed.

So either way your screwed and up the river without a paddle.

So both useless. >>;;

whenever I get bored with my main deck, I like to make other side decks. the one I am working on right now is a Blue-Eyes white Dragon Deck. I have

3 BEWD

3 Divine dragon ragnarok

2 lord of D.

3 elemental hero prisma

3 masked dragons

1 Elemental hero stratos

1 exploder dragon

2 prime material dragon

3 king of the swamps

1 future fusion

2 burst stream of destructions

2 reinforcements of the army

2 polymerizations

3 dragons mirrors

2 waboku

2 royal decree

1 heavy storm

1 mst

1 monster reborn

1 premature burial

1 swing of memories

any who, my point being is that in the right build, BEWD is pretty hard to beat.

It shut down my teammates Six Sam deck, and my dark armed dragon deck. altho i think that one was just some bad hands. the deck is fun to play with, and i love taking it to local tournys and people freaking out when a BEWD hits the field turn 1 or 2. because i can searh pro prisma , then dump a BEWD then reborn it, or fuse King dragun and just slap one down for free it is pretty nice.

people like to think that cards ar bad because they are "vanilla", but if UDE/Konami pumps out enough support for them, then they can work.

as for Toon BEWD its no good because of it not being a ble to attack on the first turn it is out, and being dependant on toon world. Just my thoughts. thanks for the time if you actually read this.

I would rather go with a Blue Eyes White Dragon. I mean, yes Blue Eyes Toon Dragon has a great effect and all, but I run a lot of destruction cards in my deck. Even if the opponent got it out onto the field, I could defend myself to the point of either dealing massive damage to the opponent with his own attacks, increase my lifepoints with his attacks, or destroy his own monsters with his own attacks.

If I run those cards, in a traditional format anyway, then chances are someone else runs them too. Being completely dependent on Toon World to remain on the field is dangerous if your opponent likes to clear the battlefield before attacking.

BEWD FTW

though i couldn't ever make a good deck with him

try out the deck i mentioned earlier. It is quite good.

It runs Polymerization. Fail less please.

My BEWD/BLS/DMK OTK deck is awesome, though. >_> BEWD also has a place in some Demise variants.

BETD has the advantage of being a Level 8 Nomi, so he could be used in Dragon Gate. Oh, wait, Dragon Gate sucks.

You mention he is bound, and I may have said it in my previous post. However try this for BETD.

Bring him out, as normal, with toon world on the field, then use a card to bring toon world back to your hand. Since it wasn't destroyed, your BETD is not destroyed (it is only destroyed when toon world is destroyed). Then you can feel free to attack your opponent's all day and there is little they can do about it (unless they bring out a monster stronger than yours, or destroy it by spell or trap effect).

So...it takes a little longer to get out, but its worth it I think. I still say Blue Eyes White Dragon is better, but not by a whole lot.

And yes, that little maneuver is legal by card rulings. :D

It's also a 3-card combo that only does 3000 damage, uses up two tributes, and is vulnerable to every form of removal in existence. Toon World Trunade has been known for ages, and Toons are still about as playable as Aitsu. Granted, it can continue to do damage each turn afterwards, but that's assuming that the opponent has no form of removal available at all, which is unlikely.

BETD's purpose lies in Dragon Gate. BEWD's purpose lies in Chain Gate or some weird version of Demise that uses it instead of Metal Armoured Bug.
