What is time? Humans stare and watch it pass by, some wishing it would speed up, others wishing it would slow to a crawl or those who just stand there and let it pass idly by but there are 'Dreamers' who believe they can build a time machine but are often mocked for chasing an impossible dream. The thing is Time is merely another dimension, the 4th Dimension, and as with all other dimensions, 1, 2 or 3 they can be changed. A square isn't set with a side length, it is interchangeable a single square can take a dozen different forms... Their species, the humans don't believe time can be altered, yet it is another dimension...and it can be changed...but it shouldn't... Time can be changed but it shouldn't it should follow the set line of events foretold by the Chronomancers and the Council of Time... - Ancient Manuscript of Unknown Origin

The year is 2237, the Humankind have managed to sustain life on Earth and have made massive leaps in tech. However, even this technology cannot repair all the damage done to the Earth by the Humans in the past. This revelation has lead many scientists to start to work in the field of time travel so they can return to the past and fix the mess that their race had made. As of yet no progress has been made, although the entire world know that they are getting close, it would seem that everyone is looking forward to the invention of tie travel looking forward to being able to live in the world where there are no toxin spills, oil leaks, toxic gases or poisonous water. Although not everyone is seeing the bright side, there are a few who believe that this would end up causing more damage than it would fix, these people were laughed at and sent to Insanity Asylums, sometimes even executed by the government who are desperate to fix their corrupted world, Time passed and those who thought that time travel was going to be bad kept it to themselves.

 

But that all changed when a young boy discovered an old temple or tomb hidden in the depths of the thickest jungles. It was here he found the manuscript, the written story of the Chronomancers and their battles against the Chronocorrupters trying to maintain the passage of time that must be followed through out the eons, from before humans had life. After reading this the boy realized how much of a threat time travel posed towards the world. He must stop the technology being developed, or if he was too late at least try to keep things the way they were. While the boy saw that he must stop the development of time travel, there are those who see it as proof that time can and should be changed.

 

Now, hidden in plain sight are those who have dreamt of the Chronomancers and corrupters and right under the noses of the desperate government a secret war goes on between those wanting to stop time travel and those wishing to pursue it.... [/spoiler]

This is a PG-16 RP, therefore it may contain certain degree of violence, death, blood and gore and sexual content

 

This is also set in the future so can have some advance tech in it eg hover boards or light swords or laser guns (you get the idea)

 

The general idea in this rp is that you have one character who lives on the Earth and their counterpart (or the mancer / corrupter who has come to them in their dreams) but if you want to just be one or the other or even have more than one i'm not going to stop you but just keep it controllable :P[/spoiler]

(all chronomancers / corrupters have the ability to slow down time or speed up time in the mortal world i.e. it doesn't effect other Mancers / corrupters they can also do other magical timey-wimey stuff as they are sentient beings (so basically if you want them to do something say it and i'll see if its too oped))

Name; Alexander Rioré

Appearance; Stands at 6 foot and is very lean and light [spoiler='Pic'][/spoiler]

Gender; Male

Bio and Personality;

Alexander was born into an extremely wealthy family, his parents always made him think he was right which led to him being very full of himself throughout his life, although he was exceptionally smart and his arrogance often worked in his favour with girls, but not so much with the other guys in his classes though. His father would often give little magic shows for little Alexander which made Alexander pursue magic to quite a decent standard.

 

When he came to the age of 12 his father died on an archaeological trip to the New South American Rainforests, this had a major effect on him, he would often make up for his sadness by lashing out in anger and rage generally meaning that if someone said something about his dad they would end up with a single broken body part if they were lucky, usually it would be more than one, his mother sent him to a therapist but it didn't help.

 

At the age of 18 he went to the New South American Rainforests to try and find out what happend to his dad, it was here that by luck and charm he came across the ancient temple of the Chrono and it was here that he realised that he had to stop the time machine project. He started out trying to get heard peacefully but the government started to just ignore him and class him as an idiot and a moron this meant that Alexander had to start taking more action. He started using what he had learnt in his study of magic tricks to break in and steal Time Machine parts doing what ever he could to slow or halt the process. It was during one of these break ins that he first saw his chrono counterpart Nesoro.

 

He was being chased by some guards after he had broken in and stollen a very important part to the machine, the guards had chased him up to the roof trapping him. He had no other choice but to jump of the building he had thought that he would rather die and break the machine part rather than live and have to return it. As he was falling towards what seemed like his imminent death everything around him started to slow down, more and more until it was practically stoped. And floating in front of him was a glowing golden figure it said 'It is not your time yet....' and then he felt himself rotating and everything around him started to speed up again closing his eyes as he wasn't to fond of seeing his approaching death but instead of the sudden change to nothingness he opened his eyes and saw that he was actually on top of a conveniently parked rubbish truck not the nicest thing to land on but better than death. It was after this he spent the rest of his nights trying to contact the thing he saw.

Special Traits; (Adept at trickery and magic tricks, a bit of a lady's man, has sometimes thought he managed to slow down / speed up time in some of his lessons but not intentionally)

Name; Nesoro

Appearance; [spoiler='Appearance'][/spoiler]

Personality; Nesoro is a very clam and collected being, even with a hundred people shouting at him he still wouldn't raise his voice and when he did everyone knew that they should shut up and listen. He shares some of his traits with Alexander (probably why he chose him) he is arrogant and often ignores other beings' suggestions thinking that he is always right. He also loves to make an entrance and will often waste far too much time on making an entrance than actually relaying the message he needed to. He is one of the most well know Chrono's and often gloats about it.
