Cardfight! Vanguard movie to come out Fall 2014

"Bushiroad’s popular Trading Card Game, already with a successful Anime and popular Live Action TV Special featuring Daigo of the J-Rock band Breakerz, is set to hit the big screen in a planned Double Feature!

Tentatively scheduled for the Fall of 2014, the Live Action portion is slated to star Daigo, with Mimori Suzuko, known for her voice over for Kourin Tatsunagi in the Anime as well as Sherlock Shellingford in Tantei Opera Milky Holmes, and several others set to play supporting roles in the film. The Live action film is being filmed by Ace Crew Entertainment, with OLM as the producer, and will also see the return of Motoki Takashi, responsible for the previous live action drama “Stand Up! Vanguard.”

 

The Anime portion of the special will be directed by Itagaki Shin and written by Sekijima Mayori, who is surprisingly known for penning such shows as Sorcerous Stabber Orphen, Phi Brain: Puzzle of God, and Angel Sanctuary as well as a video companion to Final Fantasy 5. The special will see the return of Yonaga Tsubasa, Satou Takua, and Kitta Izumi to their TV roles as Aichi, Tai and Misaki, respectively. The screenplay is from Ultra Super Pictures, who was involved in popular series Black Rock Shooter and Kill la Kill.

"Stand Up! Vanguard" was somewhat a feature that didn't exactly do Daigo a lot of justice...however, hopefully the Daigo side of the Double Feature will be a bit better ^^
