All is not lost; th’ unconquerable will, And study of revenge, immortal hate, And courage never to submit or yield. (Paradise Lost, Book I/Lines 105-108.)\ Gensokyo. The land of dreams and illusion. What was once a beautiful land was tarnished and broken, as forces from the realm of demons attacked it, commanded by its once benevolent and peaceful ruler, Shinki. Even after the land's seemingly omnipotent ruler, Yukari Yakumo, decided to gather her own force and fight back, the demons still persistently resisted, and continued to march across the land, leaving only destruction behind them. Before the land could fell any further to the demons' hand, Yukari managed to gather several powerful individuals from across Gensokyo, and placed the hope of Gensokyo's survival to their shoulders. You are one of the chosen individuals. Will you be able to stop the war from destroying the land? Or will everything you do be in vain?

The Dawn of the Kingdom of Gensokyo
The year was the 130th year according to the Gensokyo calendar. That was the year when an incident struck the sheltered sanctuary, an incident that’s unlike anything that had happened there before. The once insignificant human population of Gensokyo suddenly multiplied during the year, without anyone having a clue about the cause and where the humans were coming from. Along with the humans, Gensokyo also seemed to expand, as if the land was preparing itself for the population spike. The population spike was definitely not caused by any natural means, and knowing this, everyone was blaming each other as the cause of this incident. While the rest of the powerful figures of Gensokyo debated on who’s the culprit what to do with the humans (whether to let them stay, eradicate most of them, or kick some of them out), Yukari Yakumo, the youkai of boundaries suddenly stepped up to propose something to the other important residents of Gensokyo, something that many thought to be unimaginable; she proposed to turn Gensokyo into a kingdom to control the humans (with she as the queen, of course), as opposed to removing them and keeping the situation in Gensokyo as it is. Yukari firmly believed that the youkai could take some advantages from the humans if they have the control above them, and she believed that removing the humans could only be a temporary situation, since if something like this happened again, the process must be repeated, and not to mention the chance of triggering an unneeded war between the youkai and the humans. Many figures opposed the idea at first, due to Yukari being a suspicious person and the most logical culprit of the incident. But in the end, after some long-winded debates and some more explanation from Yukari, most of them begrudgingly accepted the proposal. Without any more opposition for the time, Yukari proudly declared that from that very moment, Gensokyo would be united as a unified kingdom of both human and youkai.
The Kingdom Era
Just a year after the conception of the Kingdom of Gensokyo, society had changed quite drastically compared to how it was a year before. Seemingly having gained the position as the new dominant power in Gensokyo, the humans built new settlements across the land with Yukari’s consent, and many of them eventually evolved into a legitimate cities and towns. Coupled with discoveries of valuable natural resources like gems and coal in several places, the human population started to thrive, and Gensokyo started to develop a primordial form of economy, though it was completely controlled by Yukari, who traded the resources to the outside world in exchange for some of their goods and materials. Meanwhile, youkai enjoyed quite a different life. The ones that did not have any problem living with humans integrated themselves to the human communities, while others decided to stay living in the wilderness. Some vocal minorities of youkai who opposed the idea of the kingdom still existed (especially with the apparent favoritism to the humans that Yukari had shown in her reign), but Yukari had them be pushed into the countryside, far from the cities and towns so that they couldn’t create any significant movement or revolution. Though strong opposition factions like the Moriya Shrine existed, and to avoid unnecessary conflicts, Yukari signed a peace treaty with them. As the Queen and the highest authority of the kingdom, Yukari put up several strict regulations for her kingdom, enforced by her Order of the Purple Knights, to ensure peace can be maintained between human and youkai. The people thought that the regulations seemed to be too strict at first, but they had grown accustomed to it after some years.
The Makai Invasion
Eight years had passed after the conception of the Kingdom. Everything went quite well for several years of no major incidents between the human and the youkai, and the majority of the people were relatively satisfied with Yukari’s reign. They did realize that the peace was temporary at best, and even the smallest friction between the two races could set off a conflict. But, never had they thought that the actual source of the upcoming conflict would be from something else entirely. The fragile peace was disturbed when a portal suddenly appeared near the Forest of Magic, and from it, a malicious creature emerged and started to attack anything in sight. Reimu and Marisa were tasked by Yukari to solve the incident and investigate the portal. They neutralized the monster with no problems, but as soon as they stepped in to the portal, the portal disappeared into thin air, leaving Marisa and Reimu trapped on the other side. Yukari immediately sealed the area off, despite the portal not appearing anymore. Or at least until 1 year later, when several portals appeared in many places around Gensokyo, and with it, several legions of demons started to invade. The sudden invasion caught Yukari off-guard, so during the initial chaos the demons were able to conquer several parts of Gensokyo during the first several days of the invasion. Even though Yukari eventually managed to gather her army just in time to prevent the advancing demon troops from invading the other areas of Gensokyo; she’s not fast enough to save several parts of the kingdom, resulting in many of the residents getting killed. From the battle, she could conclude that the demonic forces were sent by Makai, due to the banners that they proudly showed in the battle. Yukari immediately announced a red alert situation to her kingdom, and started to mass mobilize her own army to stop the advancing demons. Several months after the invasion started, Gensokyo were still trying to hold off the demon troops and push them back, little by little. The war has made the society to be unstable, with many irresponsible individuals abused the situation to their own benefit. A rebel group was formed for yet another headache to Yukari, and Yukari’s own allies were also starting to grow a shade of doubt within them, a doubt that might grow into Yukari’s downfall. As Yukari realized that more and more casualties happened in her side of the battle, she decided to start recruiting several promising individuals from around Gensokyo to her elite order of knight. You can either immediately start in the Knight’s Quarter, or explain your fateful encounter with Yukari first. Though, you can try to refuse her, but Yukari is known to be really persuasive at times, so it’s unlikely that you can refuse the position in the end. Due to time constraints, Yukari or the senior knights will not bother giving you a proper training, so you’ll have to prepare yourself for each battle, if you want any hope to see the next day. Some basic trainings will still be provided to you though, to ensure that you won’t die stupidly in the battlefield. Since no reinforcements have emerged from the portals lately, the current focus for the knights is the liberation of parts of Gensokyo that has been taken over by the invaders. As a new recruit, you might receive a simple or easy mission for your first time, but the seniors assured you that there’s always a possibility that you’ll be sent into a dangerous mission right off the bat.

The Kingdom of Gensokyo occupies most parts of Gensokyo, except several parts where the only occupants are Youkai. A good percentage of the residents are humans, due to the kingdom itself was built by Yukari to control the humankind’s development, while also keeping a relative peace between them and the Youkai.
The current level of technology during the kingdom era mimicked both the European Dark Ages and the Japanese feudal age, though things like electric lightings, firearms, simple automatons, and even industrial complexes from the Industrial Revolution era exists, thanks to Yukari. Other factions have access to quite different level of technology though. The Kappa has access to a far-more sophisticated technology, even rivaling that of the outside world. The Lunarian is even more advanced, but they always refused to do contact with the ‘filthy’ Gensokyo. Makai though, has technology somewhat equal in level to that of Gensokyo’s.

The Yakumo Castle is a huge, decorated castle located near the location of the former Human Village (now the capital of the kingdom). This is the place where Yukari spends her time taking care for her kingdom, though Ran sometimes replaces her whenever Yukari feels too lazy. The place is also where most of Yukari’s knights live and train. Even though the castle is quite new, there are several parts of the castle that many people believed to be cursed or haunted. Yukari’s claim that it was only her ghost friend Yuyuko’s mischief is met with skepticism. No one is brave enough to explore the deepest parts of the castle though, so the belief stayed as a rumor.

The Hakurei Shrine is a small, run-down Shinto shrine located on the Great Hakurei Barrier. It’s where the Hakurei Shrine Maiden, Reimu Hakurei lives. The Hakurei Shrine was once the only shrine in Gensokyo, but the Moriya Shrine has since settled on Youkai Mountain. Also adding to religious competition is the Myouren Temple and the Hall of Dreams' Great Mausoleum; the former is a Buddhist temple led by Byakuren Hijiri and the latter is held by Taoists run by Toyosatomimi no Miko. When Reimu was assigned the task of being the Grandmaster of the Knight Order, Marisa took care of the shrine sometimes, and Suika sometimes came to help her. But after both Reimu and Marisa went missing, Yukari decided to seal off the shrine.

This order of knights was personally founded by Yukari as soon as the conception of the Kingdom of Gensokyo. Reimu is the former Grandmaster of this order, but due to her disappearance, Ran Yakumo has been assigned as her successor. Their duty before the invasion is to uphold the law and peace of the kingdom, no matter what actions should they take. Now, they serve as the frontline vanguards with a mission to lead their army to a glorious victory over the invaders. Amongst the ranks are both youkai and human, all of them ready to die for the sake of their kingdom. They have the access to a variety of weapons, including firearms, though their firearms are not quite as sophisticated as the ones in the outside world currently. All of their weapons and armors (if they wear them) are enchanted specifically to combat the demons in an even ground. No explanations were ever given by Yukari about the sudden access to these, but most concluded that the Eientei group is the one responsible for them.

Makai is the Demon World and the suspected source of all of the demons who appeared from the portals. Many thought that this invasion is a result of a certain incident years ago when Reimu and 3 other individuals decided to ‘visit’ Makai after a Makai agency organized a tour to Gensokyo for the residents there.
About Shinki
The goddess of Makai, everything inside it were made by her. Everyone used to remember her as a nice person, even sometimes being too nice. She is quite ditzy for a goddess, and sometimes she often missed important details when she decided to do something. A while after the kingdom was established, contact with her and Makai was lost, for unknown reason. No one is sure about the reason why such a nice being would start an all-out invasion to Gensokyo.

The Scarlet Devil Mansion is a European-style mansion owned by Remilia Scarlet, a proud vampire with a small stature. It is located on a ridge on the edge of the Misty Lake. From the outside, one can see scarlet-colored windows, but there aren't many windows in the first place because of the nature of its residents. There are plenty of rooms without windows at all, too. There is a clock tower on the roof, but the bell on it only rings at night. The inside of Scarlet Devil Mansion is much larger than is apparent from the outside.
About Remilia
Don’t be fooled by her small stature, Remilia is definitely able to do well in a fight. Though, she is no way near as important or having as much influence as he claimed. When she’s not acting all high and mighty though, she is quite a whimsical, childish girl, due to her being still a little girl technically. Remilia was one of the most vocal opposition against the creation of the Kingdom of Gensokyo. After several long arguments, she finally begrudgingly accepted the decision. During the invasion, she focused on the defense of her own are, not bothering with the rest of Gensokyo. Yukari has shown some concerns that she might switch sides during the war, but as for now, she’s still an ally to the kingdom.

Hakugyokurou is a ghost shrine overlooking the netherworld. It is well known among the afterlife realms for its cherry blossom gardens, and many ghosts come to see them every spring.
About Saiyouji Yuyuko
Yuyuko is the lady of Hakugyokurou, and she’s one of the closest friends of Yukari. She’s usually doesn’t really care much about the rest of the world, so she’s not participating during the time when Yukari proposed the Kingdom of Gensokyo idea. She’s sometimes wandered off in Gensokyo, usually hanging out with Yukari, but during the invasion, she suddenly withdrawn herself into her mansion. Until now, she hasn’t shown her face to the public anymore, and any attempts to contact her failed.

A mansion that lies in the middle of the Bamboo Forest of the Lost, this time headed by the runaway Lunarian Princess, Houraisan Kaguya (though the actual head of the mansion is her caretaker Yagokoro Eirin). Kaguya supported Yukari’s idea wholly, for unknown reasons. Rumor says that Eientei is used as a developing ground of new technologies for the kingdom, including the anti-demon weaponries and the firearms. During the war, the place serves as a hospital, mainly for the injured troops. Despite their alliance and much assistance to the kingdom, Yukari suspected them to be up for something that might endanger her kingdom.
About Kaguya Houraisan and Yagokoro Eirin
Kaguya is the exiled moon princess, acting whimsically all the time, eventhough she is quite able to brew some ingenious schemes. Due to her being whimsical and ignorant all the time, the one who does most of the mansion’s caretaking is Eirin, the extraordinary genius from the Moon that has the ability to create all kind of medicines, and having access to Moon’s extraordinarily advanced technology, though she has little to no interest to sharing the knowledge.

The Untrodden Valley is a valley located at the very base of Youkai Mountain through which a river running from the Waterfall of Nine Heavens courses. The kappa's hideout lies somewhere on land in this area. The Kappas are noted to be an opportunistic society, changing sides depending on which one would give them the most advantages. Currently they are serving Kanako.

The Waterfall of Nine Heavens is one of the many large waterfalls of Youkai Mountain. White Wolf tengu patrollers hide behind the waterfall watching for intruders and launching surprise attacks if any such are spotted. Near the place, the Tengu City lies undisturbed. The Tengu are a bunch of really proud youkai who have little to no interests in living alongside human. They currently worships Kanako.

The Wind God's Lake is a great lake located at the heights of Youkai Mountain. It was transported into Gensokyo by Kanako along with the Moriya Shrine, which is also located nearby. The lake is named after Kanako Yasaka who, although revered as a goddess of mountains, is in fact a goddess of wind and rain.

A shrine atop the Youkai Mountain, its main gods are Yasaka Kanako and Moriya Suwako. Kanako was a supporter of the kingdom at first, firmly believed that the humans would increase the faith income to her shrine. Everything changed when it’s apparent that the humans shifted their faith away from her shrine, and towards its rival, the Hakurei Shrine. Feeling betrayed by Yukari and the people, Kanako decided to use her political power to the highest extent so she could create a powerful opposition faction to Yukari, and decided to shift the focus of her shrine into the Youkai that were also opposed Yukari. During the invasion, Moriya Shrine only helped for its allies, and due to this, the brute force of the invaders was redirected into the easier to attack human settlements.
About Yasaka Kanako and Moriya Suwako
The two goddesses of the Moriya Shrine. Eventhough Kanako looks like the thinker of the two, the actual schemer is Suwako, while Kanako being the more publicly active part of the duo. Kanako is quite obsessed on gathering faith for her shrine, while Suwako is more lax on the matter. Despite all her attempts to look like a brilliant strategist, Kanako still often do things without much afterthought, which results into most of her failures in the past. Although Kanako staunchly opposed Yukari’s kingdom, Suwako’s stance on the matter is more neutral, and she often tell Kanako to keep her cool and stop being so judgmental to Yukari.

The place where all the rejected youkai dwell, it is located in the Underground, near the Old Hell. The head of the place is Komeiji Satori, an insufferable satori (mind reader). They really lacked contact with the rest of the kingdom, so not much is known about them.

This Buddhist temple made of a flying ship is also the residence of a monk-turned-magician Hijiri Byakuren, alongside several youkai who’s training to also be a Buddhist monk. The temple always stayed at a neutral state during both the conflict and the invasion, refused to participate in the battle.

The Mausoleum is located in an artificial realm created by Toyosatomimi no Miko. The entrance however, is somewhere near the location of the Myouren Temple. The Taoist, led by Miko, fully supported Yukari’s idea from the start, and during the kingdom era, received a huge popularity boost amongst the human. During the invasion, they always come barging to a battle, just in time so they are perceived by the masses as heroes.

A rebelling group of human and youkai, who decided to use the moment of chaos due to the invasion to gather more power so they could overthrow Yukari, who they deemed to be corrupt, incompetent, and too manipulative for their own taste. Led by a mysterious figure, the group relied on hit-and-run tactics such as guerilla attacks on the kingdom’s outposts, or cut the kingdom’s supply routes. Moriya Shrine always denied about their connection to this group, but they stated that the group would be welcome anytime to the Youkai Mountain. Yukari has issued an order of detainment to every single individual who has any relevant connection to the group, and if the target fought back, Yukari ordered to immediately eliminate them on the spot.

Gensokyo is the land where the story took place. Its culture vaguely resembles that of feudal Japan, with a lot of folktale elements added on. Gensokyo was originally a desolate, haunted region of Japan ages ago. The youkai that lived there began to terrorize the surrounding lands, and thus powerful, heroic humans were sent to exorcise and exterminate them. The off and on battle between humans and youkai continued on until 1885 A.D., when Gensokyo was sealed off from this increasingly scientific and skeptical world with the creation of the Great Hakurei Barrier. There has been little contact between those societies ever since. Today, the only known gateway between Gensokyo and this world is the Hakurei Shrine, which stands in isolation along the border on distant mountains of the Far East. Gensokyo was used to be populated mainly by youkai, while a decent human and rabbit population lived there as well. After the mysterious population boom though, the human population rose to be even greater compared to the youkai.

The Great Hakurei Barrier is the border between Gensokyo and the outside world. It is the strongest boundary in all of Gensokyo, with Youkai reinforcing the original work done by humans in 1885. Yuyuko has speculated that not even Yukari could make a boundary of this level (from scratch, on her own). Yet it is not completely impenetrable, as many leftover things from the outside world (including humans) can be found near the border.

Spell Card duels were once the primary way to settle down arguments, a non-lethal display of beautiful lights and lightning-quick reflexes, all regulated by a rule upheld by the Hakurei Shrine Maiden. It’s not as popular during the times of the Kingdom of Gensokyo though, due to many of the residents being non-magical humans, and the Order of the Purple Knight being a thing. And the tradition outright died as soon as Reimu went missing and the demons started their invasion of Gensokyo. Currently, the Spell Cards are a glorified form of special attacks, and due to rule’s upholder being missing, the non-lethal clause of it was also gone, thus making these only applicable in real combats, due to duels now have a real danger of killing one of the participants.

Youkai is a term mostly associated with Japanese folk creatures and ghosts. The term can also apply broadly to anything that is a supernatural being or legend, from any culture. Because there are thousands of stories of magical beings around the world, the different types of youkai are endless. Alternatively, it is a common Japanese belief that after a certain amount of time, ordinary objects and animals gain life and personality, becoming a kind of youkai as well. In some cases even a normal human can become a youkai under the right conditions or vice versa.

Humans from the land of Gensokyo are physically similar to humans in the outside world, but are remarkably different in terms of abilities and their dominance over land. In ancient times, brave humans, who knew how to deal with supernatural entities, traveled to a youkai-infested area that we now call Gensokyo. They settled there in order to watch the youkai and keep them from terrorizing the rest of the countryside. These capable humans battled the youkai often. One day, Gensokyo was sealed away from the rest of the world. Having been separated from the rest of humanity, Gensokyo humans have ignored scientific advances and developed formidable innate spiritual power to survive. The mysterious population boom of the Gensokyo humans is the main reason behind the conception of the Kingdom of Gensokyo. During the kingdom era, they started to catch up with the outside world’s technology, though what they have developed is quite restricted, due to Yukari being the one who taught them about the technologies selectively.

They are the beings from Makai who launched an invasion of Gensokyo. They varied in shape and form, but most of them generated a dark aura as soon as they entered a battle. Many looks pretty much humanlike, while others have more beastly appearance, and even some of the more powerful ones seems to be really out-of-this world in their appearance. They are quite resistant to both magic and physical attacks, ignoring a stab to the heart from a sword, while being able to stave off a medium-powered magical blast to the face without significant injuries. 宇佐見 蓮子@C94
Well, I'm glad that this finally got posted. Even though no replies has been made over the last five hours. BTW, you should edit the OP to show that I am a co-host. Also, I should be able to post a 60% done WIP in 2 or so hours.

[Optional Picture of your character] “Affirmative. Proceeding with operation 'Terminate all Demons'. ...Even if I do not know what it means." Character Name: Entwicklungs Android Waffe Modell 1: Isolde Gender: F Age: Body is 69 years old. Has only been active for 1 year and 2 months. Species: Artificial Human/Android/Robot Ability: Capable of Creating and Ending War/Capable of Summoning Instruments of War
(Spoiler please. Images are allowed, but give at least 2 lines to accompany that. No image means a minimum of 5 lines of description.)

Being a robot in form and at heart, Isolde finds it difficult to adapt to normal human life, especially after being deactivated since the end of World War 2. With such a short time between her activation and the war starting, Isolde was unable to form a definite personality. What can be seen through her monotone voice, her blank stare and her total obedience to order is a curious young lady with a terrifying dedication to anything she does. Her original programming only gave her a few set orders, such as 'Protect allies and living things', 'Sought out new information' and 'Follow orders given by superiors, human or not'. So most of her actions are results of her creative processor. While she does have an air of awkwardness and is prone to blurt out words that isn't appropriate for the time and place, she is still a generally nice person to be around. She loves helping people in the Human Village and her "fish out of the water" personality means that she rarely ever harbors bad intentions to others. As of now, she is still very robotic both in action and dialogue, but she continues to become more human as days go on. She lacks a 'self', a definite grasp on who she is and her place in the world. Outside of daily life, as she was designed for combat in the first place, Isolde loves fighting, although she never wants to be the one who starts in. In the battlefield, she is a cold, calculating and ruthless machine that won't stop. ...Until the opposition says 'please'.

As expected of a Nazi-built war robot, Isolde is chock full of weapons from tip to toe. Her main weapons are a pair of gatling guns equipped on both her arms, several small guns on the tip of her fingers, rocket boosters on her forearms and ankles, as well as a pair of chainsaws also on her arms. Being incapable of flight by herself, Isolde is given a jetpack, similar to Alisa from Tekken's. She also has a variety of sensors to help her gain an edge against the opponent. Movement, heat, smell, you name it. Her eyes zoom in to improve accuracy, among other things. While she is equipped with many rockets of all sizes, she has no means of replacing them and instead uses rocket-like danmaku to compensate. In non-Danmaku fights, she uses her sensors to find an opponent's weakness and then deploy her arsenal to exploit it. Another thing worth noting is her built-in self destruct bomb. A prototype atom bomb meant to be used if she has outlived her usefulness. Her most striking ability, however, is her durability. Built using prototype armor, she is able to brush off most attacks, including bullets, explosions, swords as well as being able to stop many powerful impact that would normally squash humans like a bug. Her strength is also worth noting. A fully charged kick helped by the booster on her ankle rivals the strength of Oni.

(Self-explanatory. Might want this to be constantly updated.)

Isolde's spell cards work on a different principal to others. Her deck consists of 16 cards, 5 tanks, 5 ships and 6 planes. She uses these cards in tandem to create a spell card formation where the machines depicted in the card take form as anthropomorphic girls. Declaration of War - Attack on Danzig Description: Uses 3 planes and 4 tanks. A fairly straightforward attack. The planes rain fast-moving danmaku from above while tanks create a grid pattern on the ground with lasers. Dodge the danmaku from the planes and take down the tanks. Speed is The Essence - Blitzkrieg Description: Uses 2 planes, 2 ships and 3 tanks. Another straightforward attack. The planes will swoop down on you, firing fast danmaku. Ships and tanks fire large ones that limit your movement. Survive the initial onslaught of danmaku from the weapons and preserve. The danmaku will thin out more than soon enough, and Isolde will be left vulnerable. Flight of The Valkyries Description: Uses 6 planes. More difficult than before, as Isolde actually chimes in on the attack. The planes leave a trail of stationary danmaku as they try to ram you, while Isolde fires homing rockets. Trick is to use the planes to your advantage, as her rocket gets destroyed when it hits the Danmaku. Rescue Mission - Operation Eiche Description: Uses 3 ships and 4 tanks. Ships will pressurize you into moving backwards by using large danmaku, and would stop if you are too far away from it. However, this is a trap. Go too far back, and the tanks will start shooting you, thus making you go into the range of the ships again. Stay in the middle and damage the ships. The German Fleet Description: Uses 4 planes and 2 ships. Again, a pressurizing spell card. This time, it's Isolde herself. Isolde and and the ships will try to make you collide with the danmaku the planes make, so try to take out the ships quickly. Especially considering the fact they spawn new planes every 8 seconds. Everlasting Empire - Das Drei Reich Description: Uses all cards. A very difficult timeout spell, where Isolde and the planes try to hit you head-on. Don't take the planes out as they explode into a barrage of stationary danmaku. The tanks create a pattern with danmaku streams, limiting your movement. The ships fire large rockets that disperse the pattern and explosion danmaku, so watch out for that. Dodge Isolde at the last moment possible and immediately head to a safe place before the tanks change the pattern again.

Title: Mechanical Maiden Revered By The Gods Her name was taken from her project code; 1S-01-D3. 1st Series, Model 01, Detonation Rank 3. Referring to how she is the first of Nazi Germany's war androids, and that the self-destruct bomb in her chest has a power scale of 3, comparable to a small atom bomb. She was programmed to like 'Nazi Party', 'Germany' and 'Hitler', as well as hate things such as 'Jewish People' 'Soviet Russia' and so on. However, due to the laboratory developing her getting bombed, she was not equipped with the knowledge of what they are.
Isolde, the first, and thankfully only living weapon the Nazis managed to make. Her design was finalized in August 1941 and construction done by the end of 1944, where she remained in stasis as the scientists develop a "Personality Core", to allow her to make decisions on her own. However, during the Berlin occupation of 1945, the project was cut short when Stalin's red army broke into her lab and killed all the scientists involved with the project. Isolde herself was not found, however rumors of her existence circulated all the way until the 21st century. Like many things, her spiriting away to Gensokyo is because people no longer believe in the existence of a Nazi Super-Android. Just a year before the Makai invasion happened, Isolde's laboratory was transported to Gensokyo, where she was awakened by a girl from the Human Village. a bad post

[Optional Picture of your character] “Here, you can put a one-liner from your character” Character Name: Yamata no OrochiSex: FemaleAge: 1293 Species: Snake Youkai Ability: To devour anything she pleases whole* Appearance: Personality: Arrogant and condescending Orochi believes all non-magical beings (and even a few magical ones) to be beneath her. Though despite this she seems to be humbled from her fight with Susano-o (whom she holds great respect for, despite his long disappearance from the world).

Battle Style and Weapons: Venomous Fang - A short-sword with 5 ruby gems travelling down its length. Orochi imbues the sword with her poison, and those infected with the poison will begin to hallucinate. Maeriberii Haan
Welcome aboard, Elly! Might as well put my WIP app here. Also, I plan to start the RP as fast as possible, after some arbitrary quota of players and characters has been reached.

[Optional Picture of your character] “When you're stood still in your current position, the rest of the world has already moved forward, leaving you behind in the dust.” Character Name: Himawari TanegashimaGender: FemaleAge: 777 years oldSpecies: Magician, formerly humanAbility: Ability to the extent of manipulating motion.

She is quite friendly to most people, and she’s generally the most cheerful and optimistic person in a group. She is sometimes acts mischievous, and plays some pranks to people, ranging from harmless to downright malicious, with mixed reactions from her victims. But she never really cared about it. Or about anything at all, actually. The truth is she is an immortal with questionable moral standards that has no actual regards for her actions. He regards mortal life as cheap commodities, and often kills people for her own amusement. And sometimes she does something more horrible to them. He also likes to eat human, for no other purpose other than that she thinks it’s kind of funny. That started to change when she arrived at Gensokyo around thirty years ago. In a realm of youkai and immortals, she has finally found her place, and she gradually became more and more humane, but sometimes her old habit still kicks in. But this change of heart seems to be based on her whims alone.

She likes to do things up close and personal, and that includes beating others into a bloody pulp. Using her motion control magic to either accelerate herself to a frightening level of speed, or slowing down the opponent, she then continues to use any close range weapon she currently has access to, in order to brutally maul the poor victim. Her favorite weapon is her personal battle axe and her twin short sword. Back then when the spellcard rule was still enforced, she did try her best to uphold the law, but without it, her brutality resurfaced. As for her application of her motion-control magic, she can use it both offensively and defensively. She can make herself to move at a jet-like speed, though she couldn’t really control her movement in that speed. She can slow down and redirect any physical projectiles coming at her, and she can slow down or accelerate any attacks to reduce or increase its impact. The objects that she influenced with her magic must be physical, but she can then manipulate it to move, stop, or just change directions. Her response time is quite fast, lower than a second, and she can immediately use her magic to counteract the current situation in hand. Overall, the ability is quite similar to psychokinesis in practice, though with some additional usages. Her dress was woven by herself, and she injected it with a good deal of her magic. It is quite resistant to damage, whether magical or physical, but its strongest point is its ability to generate some sort of limited force field that will cut any foreign object’s speed by half the more closer they are to her, and cut it more and more until the point of immobilization. The field can be turned on and off at will. Its weakness is that it does not stop magical attacks, and any damage to the dress will create a small hole in the force field.

Changes from time to time depending on situation, but she always brings a book with her in most occasions.

Spell Cards: Her style is defined by using fewer bullets than most other characters, but she makes up from it with manipulating the speed of the bullet, herself, and her targets. Speed Sign “First Gear–Easy-“ Speed Sign “Second Gear –Normal- High Speed “Third Gear –Hard-“ High Speed “Final Gear –Lunatic-“ Description: All four are a variation of the same Spell Card. The spellcards consist of few bullets, but they bounces when they hit anything, and will gradually increase in their speed until they start breaking the sound barrier. The easiest level consists of 25 starting bullets, and the higher level cards consist of more bullets, and the acceleration rate increased greatly. In practice, this card is quite unreliable in its basic form, so she made so that the bullet will be bounced back after hitting the limit range, not an object. Slowdown “The World of Snails” Description: Reduce the speed of everything in her radius, while firing streams of fast bullets to her target, and the bullets are unaffected by the slowdown. Shooting Star “Cosmic-scale Traffic Accident” Description: Create big balls of energy that moved at a ridiculous speed at the target, and will burst into a huge explosion of a lot of smaller balls upon impact with anything, and the smaller balls will explode into bullets after a while. Her movement in this state is quite reduced due to the focus needed to create the big balls. Chop Away “Meal for the Agile” Description: Slow down the target every several seconds, while repeatedly dashing to the target, creating bullets on the way. If she managed to get close, she’ll mercilessly chop the target to pieces. The spellcard rule version of this card only has her release a stream of bullet from point-blank range to her target. “Highway to Hell” Description: Creates a barrier around her and her target. Everything aside from her and her bullets will be slowed down greatly in the barrier, while she fire dense formations of various bullet types to her opponent, and all of the bullets will bounce when it hits the border. She will continue this until the barrier is filled with her bullets. “Stairway to Heaven” Description: She greatly speeds up the flow of time in a huge area while preventing any living being from catching up, except her. From the point of view of anyone else, she looked like blinking from one place to another, and her bullet’s speed became really deadly in conjunction with this. Her opponent’s attack will be so slow; she can easily dodge them, even lasers and such attacks. She rarely used this spell card due to the sheer energy needed to use it, and the duration of the card is only a minute from her perspective. Still, it’s definitely a devastating survival spell card.

Title: Perpetual Motion Witch Likes: Pranks, books, human meat Dislikes: Dense people

EDIT: A quick overlook to the current WIP applications, and I have something to ask about Isolde. About her ammunition and fleet of ships, tanks, and planes, does Isolde have access to a Hyperspace Arsenal, or does she have the ability to manifest them at will?
