.Rai
Simple as. List of what you think were among the best albums of the year. For me, in a top 10, I'd probably have, in no particular order:- The Electric Lady, Janelle Monaé- Settle, Disclosure- The Next Day, David Bowie- Pure Heroine, Lorde- Modern Vampires of the City, Vampire Weekend- Once I Was An Eagle, Laura Marling- BEYONCÉ, Beyoncé- Random Access Memories, Daft Punk- Yeezus, Kanye West- The 20/20 Experience, Justin TimberlakeBeyoncé's is a really, really recent addition to my list, but it's basically her own Yeezus moment with lots of dark R&B. It was a good year for music. Got plenty of honourable mentions too: Arcade Fire's Reflektor, Phoenix's Bankrupt!, Lady Gaga's ARTPOP, A$AP Rocky's LONG.LIVE.A$AP, James Blake's Overgrown and Jon Hopkin's Immunity pop to mind.Oh, and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's Nanda Collection. Because it's the one piece of j-pop I've really ever enjoyed, just because the production on it is glorious, and even for j-pop, it's goddamn weird as hell. The Hounds Of Anubis
This is how the Wind Shifts - SilversteinTracing Back Roots - We Came as Romans8:18 - The Devil Wears PradaCommon Courtesy - A Day to RememberFull of War - ConditionsHouse of Gold and Bones Part 2 - Stone SourRandom Access Memories - Daft PunkThe Blackest Beautiful - LetliveThe Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hell, Volume 1 - Five Finger Death PunchConduit - Funeral for a FriendIn that order.Wasn't too hard to cut it to a top 10. I really haven't done much broadening of my music taste this year and if anything have rather shrunk it down.
Anti-Apocryphal
Crash My Party - Luke Bryan Based on a True Story - Blake Shelton Not really much going on here, mainly cause I favor country music and the fact that I am biased towards it. I won't really listen to other kinds of music. Then again, 95% of the music on my iPod is country, if that tells you anything [other 5% are singles, not albums]. Cin
Can't really do Albums of the year because I hated most of the albums bands I like released this year, although Whole by SOiL was good (Mainly because I donated I got to hear it over and over before release). I still need to listen to Tantric's 37 Channels, Skillet's Rise, Alter Bridge's Fortress, Saliva's In It To Win It fully. Most of the albums I've listened to this year I'm lucky if I've kept a few songs around. Favourite Song of the year: Sick Of It - Skillet It's such a powerful message in the song, about not letting things consume you when you can still fight them off. I needed this song back in my dark days.

Zauls
Best album of 2013 IMO was The Theory of Everything by Ayreon. Never before has music left me in such an emotional state and never have I wanted to carry on listening to an album quite as much as this one. Ayreon's finest hour for sure. The blend of folk, classical, metal and electronic music makes it really really unique. The talent that was incorporated was incredible and the singers really brought the characters in the story to life. Apologies for rambling on and sounding like an over-dramatic crazy person...
