Varia Angel Knight

I Hate Snatch Steal

Recommended Posts

The goal was to make a card that was worth basing a deck around, so how did I do?

You can discard this card, then banish 1 LIGHT or DARK monster and 1 Fairy-Type monster from your graveyard; choose 1 spell/trap card from your opponent's graveyard, add it to your hand and if you do, the next time a card with the same name would be sent to your opponent's graveyard; banish it instead. If this card is in your Graveyard: You can discard 1 card, then banish 1 WATER or EARTH monster and 1 Fairy-Type monster from your graveyard, except this card; special summon this card from your graveyard and if you do, you can change this card's level to the level/rank of 1 face-up monster your opponent controls. You can banish 1 Fairy-Type monster and 1 FIRE or WIND monster from your graveyard, then target 1 card on the field; destroy it. You can only use 1 "Varia Angel Knight" effect per turn, and only once that turn.

It is an interesting idea. But not really sure how to tell you to go about building a deck with it. I can help you with the card as a whole though.

Such as with the first effect, after you put the opponent's spell/trap into your hand, the next time they play one? so what? it gets banished but it says nothing about negating it.

Then for it's Special Summoning effect, you do realize it can banish itself? Most things say (except this card). Assuming you were trying to give it an E-Dragon type effect.

Other than that it's just a card you might run in a Dragon deck or some other Deck with lots of different Attributes.

Don't worry, I can figure out the deck I'm sure. Good catch on banishing itself for its own summon, I'll fix that. The purpose of the clause "the next time a card with the same name would be sent to your opponent's graveyard; banish it instead." is so that you can't 'steal' the same card every time you activate that effect.
