Love of Ghibli
Smiles and happiness; Can I reserve a spot? I'll put up a character app a bit later. There probably won't be a reserve thing and to be brutally honest I've watched you apply for like three RPs and not follow through with any of them. So I'm just skeptical right now. So if you want to continue be my guest. I just hope you follow through on this.
宇佐見 蓮子@C94
Username: Toyoko Kuroki Name: Ellysia Rozenschwarz (first name pronounced Alicia, but she prefers to be called Elly) Age: 14 Gender: Female Appearance: "I see... So you do not wish to befriend me. Very well. It matters not. However, I have one last request to make of you; would you please die for me?" Personality: To most people, Elly acts like your typical gothic lolita. She talks in a very formal and very eloquent way, and often says her lines with a condescending tone. To add to this point, she rarely smiles when she is on her own, only smiling when mocking the person she's talking to. However, while her appearance and demeanor suggests she is a cold ice queen, Elly is in fact a very friendly and outgoing person. Almost too friendly in fact. Since most things die when she is near her, Elly is desperate to find someone meaningful in her life, so she will try and be friends with anyone she meets. Once she finds someone she likes, Elly's personality changes drastically. While she retains the speech pattern, she turns into a cloudcuckoolander that is unaware of her own surroundings, focusing only on talking to her friend or playing with them. Of course, she can be overly possessive with someone she likes. While she used to be a kind-hearted child, Alice has corrupted her into a dangerous, emotionally unstable yandere who will not take kindly to jealousy and rejection. Many things can flip her switch easily. Not hanging out with her? Death. Talking to other people while she's around? Death as well. She will not waste a second thinking about killing someone who 'abandoned' her, only to weep about it a second later. Elly does not have much actual dueling experience, but as she hails from Babylon, she is very skilled at it. Her duels end quick and she seeks to end her opponent using her avatar, which is fitting as it is a personification of death. Residence: Babylon Occupation: Fortune teller. She has a small fortune telling booth set up at Beltline, where she is known for her 100% accurate readings with a tarot deck. More often than not, these fortunes end with the Death Arcana drawn upright. Biography: Elly has been a mysterious being throughout most of her life. She resides in a place where no-one thought it would be possible to, and is capable of inflicting death simply by existing. She awakened to her powers at age 10, and met her avatar a year later. At the time, Elly was left as an orphan after her parents committed a mysterious suicide. She was lonely and didn't question anything Alice said that the time. Eventually, she got bored of life as the mistress of a mansion nobody can reach. When she heard that there is going to be a bunch of people attempting to reach Babylon, Elly felt excited for the first time in several years. She decided that she's going to go down the Tower (Which she refers to as "Tartarus" instead of "Tower of Babel"), and help out whoever she finds interesting at the cost of befriending her forever and ever. Powers and Abilities: In terms of physical strength, Elly is relatively weak to other people. She has no actual combat experience and actually actively avoids direct combat, but Elly has very strong magical power, which is further reinforced by her Avatar Alice. For starters, being with Elly for prolonged periods of time is capable of driving people to suicide, although the process takes quite a while. If you spend a month living under the same roof as her, you probably wouldn't survive to live another. Her very presence is enough to kill small monsters and causes flowers to wither. As her appearance suggests, Elly's main power is related to death and darkness. She can create a magic circle of darkness that can kill any monster from Midgard below, as well as any human that ticks her off. As a side note, do not get her to say the words "Die for me." When she says it, her ability activates automatically and you will suffer a horrible death soon. Deck: Aeon Currently incomplete, but in total there will be 21 monsters Deck Description: Mainly based on copying each other's effects and stacking the deck to gain advantage. Main card is Fool of The Aeon. Custom Cards: Most of it in the thread. Avatar Avatar: Death of The Aeon - Alice Lvl: 7 Avatar Personality: Alice's personality can be best described as an extension of Elly's dark thoughts. She is much more possessive over those she likes, and will stop at nothing to kill those who injure Elly. She treats Elly like a sister and vice-versa, with the two keeping each other company for 3 years straight. She holds little regard to humans except for Elly, and if she wills it, she would kill anybody she wants. Throughout the three years, Alice has pretty much corrupted her master. Slowly but surely, Elly is losing her humanity. However, she has no dark thoughts about her and is simply doing so because that's what she believes is right. Avatar Abilities: Alice's ability is identical to Elly's, although it is much more controlled and doesn't cause lesser beings to die. However, unlike Elly who kills via a magic circle, Alice simply touches the target and it will slowly turn into black dust. Humans disappear completely in 30 seconds, while bigger creatures die in less than a minute. The victim is conscious during the disintegration process and can see their bodies slowly fading to black. Phantom Roxas
…Well then, this is awkward.
Username: Phantom RoxasName: Alice MaloryAge: 18Gender: FemaleAppearance:Personality: Given that Alice is homeless, she is desperate for any kind of success, as long as it means that she could earn a decent living. As such, her primary goal is to establish a comfortable life in the Baseline, with no desire to reach Babylon. She will take any opportunity to accomplish her goals, as long as it is legal. If nothing else, Alice wants to live honestly, and would like to be remembered for helping people. When meeting new people, Alice is friendly as possible, although Alice does tend to wish that the people would offer her place to stay, though she never lets this be known.Alice is often conflicted about her feelings. She feels that she comes across as entitled by expecting to be taken in for helping people, and though she isn't completely terrified of the monsters, she fears that people would come to see her as one of the monsters. This is especially difficult when she is presented with choices, particularly with her visions, as she could second-guess herself, rushing into what she simply thinks would be the best thing, which more often than not isn't the best. For this reason, she is heavily dependent on her Avatar, Psychelone.Residence: BaselineOccupation: Works the register at the local WcDonald's.
The earliest memory that Alice has is the day her parents were taken from her by monsters. Though she was home when the monsters attacked, Alice had mysteriously been transported from the area, arriving on the other side of the world in a place known only as Satellite. Lost in these slums, Alice was taken into an orphanage, where she learned that she had somehow managed to travel through time, arriving in the year 2047. How this was possible, Alice had no idea, and no one else seemed to understand her problem either. While in the orphanage, Alice came to learn the game known as Duel Monsters, but through this, it was revealed that she had psychic abilities that would allow her monsters to come to life. Though the orphanage allowed her to stay in spite of this horrifying ability, they forbid her from revealing her powers. However, soon there came a day when a young man, a boy known as Naoya Okudaira visited the orphanage, seeking those who held the very powers that Alice possessed. Intrigued by the prospect of others having powers like her, Alice dreamt of the chance to be taken in by Naoya's group, the Arcadia Movement, and eventually, she got her wish. For years, Alice lived happily with the Arcadia Movement in Neo Domino City, but as Alice has learned over the course of her life, it only takes one day to turn your life upside-down. While going through an afternoon stroll, she happened upon an accident, where a man had been crushed under a bus. Terrified by the scene, Alice desperately called forth one of her monsters, Elemental HERO Absolute Zero, and though the Duel Monster had managed to lift the bus up, people turned against her, afraid of "psionics" such as her. The Public Security Maintenance Bureau took her into custody, considering her a potential threat, but Naoya went to the station, dealing with the Bureau and managing to convince them to let Alice go.Although Alice was free, Naoya reprimanded her for recklessly using her powers, as ordinary people were still not ready to accept psionics. Alice defended herself by saying that she was doing the right thing, but Naoya kept telling her that no matter what good she would do, humans would never appreciate it. That statement made Alice question if she was even worthy of being called a human. Not only had the public called her a monster, but even Naoya, a man she had idolized, was claiming that psionics are more than humans, an idea that Alice found unsettling. It was that night where the real change began, though. A man named Solasiro Antologia came alone to the Arcadia Movement, attacking the various members, until he was approached by Naoya. Alice followed the commotion to the top floor, where Naoya and Solasiro had begun a duel. Solasiro had said he was what is known as a Dark Signer, and that he came to eliminate the Arcadia Movement, saying that they were "unnecessary". Although Naoya fought valiantly, Solasiro claimed victory by summoning a powerful monster, the Earthbound Immortal Ccoshobar. Naoya not only lost the duel against Solasiro, but was devoured by Ccoshobar. Solasiro asked if Alice was willing to avenge Naoya, but Alice said nothing. She was afraid of this man who had single-handedly managed to take down the Arcadia Movement, even killing the man who had only just begun to make her realize what her place in the world was. That was when it happened again. Alice could see herself fading, the world around her changing. Even Solasiro was confused by what this could mean, until at last, Alice was no longer standing in the Arcadia Movement. Now, she was in the run-down city none as Detroit. Once again, she was alone, with nothing but the clothes on her back and her Duel Monsters cards, but there was no orphanage that would take her in, no movement that would help her come into her own. Worse still, she quickly discovered that she was sent even further into the future, and she was now in the year 2213.She wandered around hopelessly, with people too busy to help her, but she couldn't bring herself to thievery. When she was on the brink of starvation, her powers suddenly began to change. One of her cards, Gishki Psychelone, had come to life. It seemed that even her psychic powers were not the cause of this. With the aid of Psychelone, Alice had begun to see visions. Everything that she could and would do within the next five minutes flashed within her mind in mere seconds. Psychelone took care of Alice, saying from then on, she would be Alice's "mother". To prove this, Psychelone broke into a nearby market, taking food for Alice. Alice was hesitant to eat stolen food, but as she hadn't eaten in days, she reluctantly took the food. However, she told Psychelone that she would only allow something like just once, as Alice wished to earn an honesty living. Alice desperately looked around for places that would hire her, but the best she could manage was getting a job a part-time job at WcDonald's. For now, the only place Alice has to call home is a sleeping bag.
Powers and Abilities: Though Alice has the ability to warp through time, this has only happened twice in her life, and both instances occurred a dozen years apart, so it is unlikely that she will be able to use this any time seen, not that she could fully control it anyway. However, with the help of her avatar, Psychelone, she has been able to derive the ability to look into the future, but only what will happen in the next five minutes. With it, she is able to see all possibilities of what could happen, allowing her to choose the ideal path. In duels and fights, this would also allow her to foresee what her opponent will do, allowing her the ability to prepare to counter it. Additionally, as a psionic, her cards come to life when she plays them, making them able to physically harm people.Deck: GishkiDeck Description: Controlling the field and the opponent's hand.AvatarAvatar: Gishki PsycheloneAvatar Personality: Psychelone is cunning and devious, but maintains a motherly disposition towards Alice. She would do anything for her "daughter", but it's clear that she desires more than just giving Alice the happy life she desires. Blue Amoonguss
...That's true. However, I was thinking of something different this time...
Username: Blue Amoonguss Name: Ikaruga Tamaka Age: 39 Gender: Male Appearance: He stands at 5'11'' and weighs 209 lbs, though he has a rather lean body. He has long white hair that goes halfway down his back, and slightly cover his auburn eyes. He has a angular face, with no blemishes on his caucasian skin. He often wears a grey kimono over his entire body, and wears worn sandals on his feet. He also has a nodachi sheathed at the hip. For those who don't know, a nodachi is a long, curved sword. Personality: Upon first glance of this shopkeeper, one would describe Ikaruga as a Japanese otaku. He's rather passionate (if not silly or ridiculous) about Japanese culture, and will often make references to popular anime and manga. He's a rather optimistic fellow who is proud of his otaku-ness, but don't let his whimsy attitude fool you; he's rather wise and knowledgable about several things, including the Yugioh card game and it's uses in the Tower of Babel. Even when faced with thieves and gangs, he keeps his smile as he dispatches them with swift pressure point attacks. He's got a good eye on things, which allows him to make sure nothing suspicious goes on in his shop. He's very kind with people, but he has good bartering skills that earn him a tidy profit from the cards he collects from other sellers and places. He's also well-known as the traveling card shop, and he has the skills to stop crooks, thieves, and other rift-raft that try to take his valuable merchandise. Because of this, most of the people and gangs in the tower and the general area usually don't mess with his merch, as the last guy had his hand broken in 6 different places. He's very serious about thieves, and he hates to eat eggplants. Residence: As a shopkeeper, he often moves his shop and living location among the baseline, trying to get more customers. He also had been to Midgard before, trying to find customers and rare cards for his shop. He doesn't go often though. Occupation: He runs a card shop that travels around the various floors. It's open everyday except Mondays, from 9 am to 6 pm. On an important side note, he found a way to prevent fighting in his shop through the use of something that he has. Biography: Ikaruga Tamaka was born of Japanese descent, though he was born somewhere in what was known as the state of California. Being raised in a traditional family, he learned Japanese culture and self-defense techniques from various sources. He also got into Yugioh, and he grew a large interest in many of it's aspects. When his mother and father passed away at the age of 17, he was already in the business of buying and selling cards, having a good selection of cards for sale at the time. When he heard from a casual buyer of his merchandise that this place in detroit had many rare treasures and cards, he packed up and left California to travel there, planning to drum up more business there. When he arrived at the tower, his avatar immediately appeared next to him. While both were confused, a bystander who saw this gave him a general description on what avatars were and their odd abilities. His avatar now helps him with his business, though due to the fact that the place is a craphole, he has to move around among the floors so he could find potential buyers. He still barely makes ends meet, just getting enough to feed him and his avatar, though sometimes they had to go hungry for days. Powers and Abilities: Ikaruga has a good amount of knowledge on human pressure points, and the skills to take advantage of them, to paralyse and knock out his opponent in a swift and effective matter. He also has an instant memory; it's a skill learned that is based on the fact that we see a memory of things in our vision. By using this technique, he can skip the mental feedback process entirely, and make it seem like he has instant precognition for about a half-second. He has good dodging manuevers, and is able to pick up on martial art techniques quickly, thanks to the side effects of his avatar. Deck: Six Samurai Deck description: Use the effects of several spells and abilities to swarm the field with powerful monsters, and lockdown the opponents spell and trap cards with Great Shogun Shien and Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En, while relying on a few counter and draw cards to efficiently do so. Avatar: Chamberlain of the Six Samurai/ Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En/ ??? (Baseline/ Midgard/ ???) Avatar Personality: The Chamberlain often acts like a real Samurai; he has respect and honor in his mind. He's also rather kind, but strict, as he spars with Ikaruga on the days the shop is closed with swordplay and martial arts. The relationship between the two is similar to a mix of family members and brothers. While Ikaruga is stronger than him in close-quarters combat, The Chamberlain is a better swordsman. Avatar Powers: The Chamberlain is unique, in the fact that he has the ability to willingly change between his forms in a flash. He's also rather skilled with swords, and his techniques are shared with Ikaruga through a mental bond they have, which also allows him some knowledge on the techniques from Ikaruga.
I was thinking of using this character with a supporting minor role in this story. This, I can do.

Occupation: He runs a card shop that travels around the various floors. It's open everyday, from 9 A.M. to 6 P.M., except Mondays because "More interesting stuff seems to happen on Monday than any other day of the week." There's been rumors that he's been beyond the baseline, even into Babylon, but those rumors have been unproven at the time. He has been to Midgard though... When he heard from a casual buyer of his merchandise that this place in detroit had many players of the Yugioh card game, he packed up and left California to travel there, planning to drum up more business there. When he arrived at the tower, his avatar immediately appeared next to him. While both were confused, a bystander who saw this gave him a general description on what avatars were and their odd abilities. His avatar now helps him with his business, and he was able to have a larger stock available for sale. He's been in the tower for a long time, becoming rather sucessful within. Powers and Abilities: Ikaruga has extensive knowledge on human pressure points, and the skills to take advantage of them, to paralyse and knock out his opponent in a swift and effective matter. Avatar: Chamberlain of the Six Samurai/ Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En/ Great Shogun Shien (Baseline/ Midgard/ Babylon) Avatar Personality: The Chamberlain often acts like a real Samurai; he has respect and honor in his mind.
You only get one avatar

Love of Ghibli
It is 'one' avatar. This avatar can become the other avatars willingly, like evolving and degenerating. Okay, then there is no Great Shogun because this person, for a slew of reasons, did not make it Babylon. If you want to make a Babylonian who's just acting under the radar then that is still a Babylonian and that would have to be PM'd. Secondly your dude doesn't have powers he is just really good at fighting, is that right? I don't really get how a person like that made it through the Beltline. But that's okay he could've had help or something. Third if your place of business is inside the tower...how are you successful? Its the largest squatters colony in the world. It is literally a place for the poorest of poor. I doubt people who barely have running water get to have the luxury of buying cards.

encapturer
As far as conflicts go, what do you expect the ratio of duels to fights to be like? What about for less important/more important conflicts? I... haven't played the game in a long while, so I'm thinking of making a character who kinda sucks at the game, though I might change my mind if one needs to be good to even have a shot at succeeding in climbing. Outside of playable character interaction (that's up to you RPers) There are SIGNIFICANTLY more fights than duels. At the very least its going to be 3 fights for every duel. Dueling in this RP is a way for weaker characters (Baseline) to fight against a Babylonian without getting curb stomped.

encapturer
A celebration of the release of SRWOG: Dark Prison
Character: Username: encapturer Name: Neraine Evans Age: 24 Gender: Female Appearance:

The clothing was a present from her parents, she likes them and takes good care of them; damaging them is a good way to get on her bad side. This is even though she has a few extra changes of similarly-styled clothing hidden in both bases. Her sword was given to her when she was making the initial trek through the beltline to defend herself with; nowadays it functions more as a sidearm. She prefers to use a spiked mace to take advantage of the crushing blows she is able to deal with her ability. Personality: Neraine is pretty calm and composed for the most part. She tends to not jump in immediately, preferring to think out her actions. In a place where one false move can mean death, having a clear mind helps tons. However, if action is needed, Neraine starts to act... overly dramatic. It is her way to fire herself up when the time for planning is over, and it is... quite effective, if sometimes excessively showy. This stems from the fact that Neraine always feels like she has something to prove. She doesn't get offended easily, but if she feels like she is crossed or something, she doesn't forgive easily, and can hold grudges for a long time. Similarly, she can be taunted as well, but all that does is make her angry; she normally wouldn't go out and try to beat you to a pulp then, but she'll plan your humiliating defeat first, then set out to face you. Still, she can push forward with an almost single-minded drive for whatever goal she sets her mind to. Doesn't mean she will succeed, but she's not the type to leave things half-finished if possible. Neraine isn't a perfectionist, though, and can be downright hasty if pressed for time; she practical in that sense, though rushing things may cause problems in the future... if she isn't told that she should be careful. She can come off as cold sometimes to other people, as it makes her feel more capable than she really is - though she is trying to work on that, honest. She does feel that each human life is something to be treasured, though she does hold hers in higher regard than most. She will risk her life for her friends. She won't be able to explain why, though she just goes with it and hope for the best at that point. Residence: Midgard/baseline Occupation: Tower Researcher, officially. In practice, she runs supplies and assists people in reaching Midgard. Biography: [spoiler:History]Neraine came to the tower about five years ago as part of an expedition group. She joined it right out of high school in order to pay for tuition; it turns out that conducting research in a dangerous location pays rather well if you survive. And since she didn't want to take out a student loan to supplement her scholarship, this was her best bet. Once at the tower, the group made their way to the 60th floor, and set up their base of operations there. At this point, they had a small amount of people who had gained powers... and Neraine was not one of them. She would end up not fighting monsters, instead, she would end up observing and cataloging them, creating a sort of bestiary for those exploring the tower. She did dabble in some of the other duties, like mapping and avatar research, as well. After about three years of this, it was decided that since a good number of the team had gained an avatar, the bulk of the team would make a push into Midgard, to continue their research. It was decided to send someone who had not gained an avatar with the team, and Neraine volunteered, since she had gained skill in staying out of trouble, even the couple of times the team ventured to the first two floors of the beltline. Thus the trek began. First three floors were cleared faster than expected; the group had hired a few experienced natives to assist in the climb, so things actually went smoother than before. During this time Neraine furiously took notes about what she encountered, and barely got into trouble - the hordes were dealt with quickly, and the odd strays were shown no quarter - the team's lives depended on this, after all. The next four floors were hectic. Some of the squad were starting to succumb to the strain of the sustained fighting, though Neraine was still full of energy. As such, she was still able to keep herself safe - though she needed to assist the others around here. While no longer able to record data, the others appreciated having another hand to help out, even if she was woefully underpowered. The last three floors were utter chaos. Even with their preparation, the party was overwhelmed near the end of the trip. About half of the natives and researchers were killed here. It was a mad dash to the exit where the group would be able fend off the monsters one at a time. Unfortunately, Neraine was separated from the rest of her group, and had to fend for herself, and without an ability it would seem like this would be the end of her life... that is, until she heard a voice. "You shall not die here, child." A purple wormhole appeared in front of Neraine, an a similarly colored humanoid machine emerged, blocking the strike from the . Calling itself 'Granzon', it claimed that she had the ability to defeat the creatures - that she was the master of her own gravity. As it spoke, Neraine realized that she must have unconsciously used her ability to escape certain death many times in the past, and proceeded to use her sword and her gravity ability to defeat the beasts that had cornered her. Rejoining the remnants of the expedition, all were surprised to see that Neraine had gained an Avatar after those long years, and a neat ability as well. Since then, the expedition has been doing relatively well, and Neraine has been selected to run the supply route between the outside world, the floor 60 base, and the new floor 113 base. She has taken the initiative to attempt to recruit new people to the team, by taking promising individuals with her during her runs through the beltline, believing that Midgard will become safer the more people arrive there and gain further power. As the face of the expedition among those in the baseline, she does enjoy some popularity, though this has been a double edged sword: people know that she has money, and is often the target by thugs looking for a way to quick riches.
Powers and Abilities: Her central ability is her control over her personal gravity; she is able to change the vector of gravity for herself and things she touches. For things she is touching, she requires a period of constant contact to sync with her ability. This link deteriorates over time, though if it is something she uses often, linking again takes a negligible amount of time. If her ability is used on a separate object and Neraine stops touching it, the altered gravity lasts for only about 10 seconds, before gravity begins acting normally on that object. Since Neraine's ability is over her gravity, she can do things like walk on walls and the ceilings, simulate flight, as well as attack with increased force by shifting the gravity vector parallel to the direction of her strikes. By itself, her power does no damage to a foe (unless she can link with it, but that's dangerous), but it supplements her combat abilities. Deck: Dark PrisonDeck Description: Machine-type deck that tries to stall until Granzon is summoned, which becomes a one machine army.Custom Cards:
Quickplay Spell Card You may activate this card from the Graveyard by revealing a 'Granzon' card in your hand. During your battle phase, increase target 'Granzon's attack by 400 until the end of turn. The target can declare an attack (but cannot attack your opponent directly) until the end of the turn. You may activate only 1 'Granzon System' card per turn.

Quickplay Spell Card You may activate this card from the graveyard by discarding a card from your hand. During your battle phase, if you control a Granzon that did not declare an attack, flip a coin for every non-'Granzon' card on the field. On heads, destroy that card. On tails, return the card to the owner's hand. Then banish this card. Other cards may not be activated in response to this card. You may activate only 1 'Granzon System' card per turn.

Quickplay Spell Card You may activate this card from the graveyard by paying 500 Life Points. You may activate only 1 'Granzon System' card per turn. During your battle phase, target 1 'Granzon' that did not declare an attack this turn, then activate one of the following effects: * Destroy a monster your opponent controls that has an ATK or DEF less than or equal to the target's ATK. * Deal damage to your opponent equal to the target's ATK.

Quickplay Spell Card You may activate this card from the graveyard by paying 700 Life Points. During your battle phase, increase target 'Granzon's ATK by 800 until the end phase. The target may declare an attack. When target Granzon attacks, trap cards can not be activated until the end of the battle phase, and you may destroy a spell or trap card on the field. You may activate only 1 'Granzon System' card per turn

Spell Card Special summon target 'Granzon' from the Graveyard. During your standby phase, if this card was sent to the graveyard after activating its effect, you may discard a card from your hand to activate this card to return target 'Granzon' to your hand from either your graveyard, or your banished pile.
Avatar Avatar: Granzon | Level 6 Avatar Personality: It is rather aloof, preferring to not interact with others if at all possible. Tends to be rather polite when it speaks usually, though it can come off as condescending at times. As a sign that it has accepted Neraine's growth, it has started calling her 'My Lady' instead of 'Child'. Never sounds angry, even when it should, preferring... other ways to vent its anger. Does not like it if others attempt to manipulate Neraine against her will, and will make its opinion known if brought up. In battle, it prefers to let Neraine handle everything, believing that it will help her grow. Has a good battle-sense, so one can tell if a battle is tough if Granzon gets involved and assists Neraine. On the other hand, it relishes the chance to participate in duels, wanting to show its superiority over other cards. Even if it doesn't win, it is satisfied if many of the opponents monsters fall by its hand. Avatar Abilities: Granzon has the same self-gravity control that Neraine has, though it can also make wormholes. Unlike Neraine, it can only link with objects by pulling them through a wormhole to him.
Super Chaos Sonic
Character: Username: Chaos Sonic Name: Hiro Sendou Age: 17 Gender: Male
Difference in the picture is that his clothes look a bit ragged, mainly his jacket.

Hiro is a quiet young man, whether he's on the job or out doing anything else. In one sense, with most of his actions, Hiro hates not being able to please people, forcing him to adopt a passive-aggressive nature. Its because of this nature of his, people think that they can walk all over him at certain points in his life. While working at "Goblin Squad's Cards", Hiro has slowly begun to find a way to kick this nature to the curb, but it is still a learning process. Though at the card shop, he loves to help the younger generation partake in Duel Monsters, trying to show them tricks and teach them moves they can use against their friends. In a battle or in a duel, Hiro gets a bit serious, trying to make sure every move he takes is a good one and will definitely count in the long run. He's also very willing to lend a hand if absolutely necessary, in regards to a duel or in a battle. Hiro tries not to let anything distract him in these situations, so he can concentrate on the matter at hand.
Residence: Baseline Occupation: Stock-Boy at an on the edge/about to close down card shop - "Goblin Squad's Cards"
The Baseline...a terrible place in most people's mind to bring a child forth into. For Hiro Sendou, that was definitely his mindset his entire life. When they were just teenagers (16-19), Hiro's parents had him and brought him into the bleak world. From that point on, he watched as his parents did what they could to protect him and each other. His mother was born in the Baseline with the Avatar Injection Fairy Lily to match her ability of healing wounds. Hiro found this out quickly, however, his father's past he never truly knew. In fact there was quiet a bit of time in his life where he never saw his father...but regardless he was told he was on some sort of trip to help the others in the Baseline. All he remembered about his father was the present time: him having the ability of strength along with his Avatar Neos Wiseman. Through time, they kept teaching Hiro while he was young that in the darkest of situations...there was always some light just waiting to be brought out. As Hiro grew up, he continued to believe this...even at the untimely death of his parents. A duel had broken out with his parents in a tag team duel against two desperate thugs. His father about had the last card he needed to bring out his ace monster and Avatar: Neos Wiseman to end the duel...but he never got the chance. From Hiro's hiding place, he watched as the two losing thugs, point blank killed his parents. Everything they had was taken...except for one main thing that his father hid away for Hiro. Under his duel disk, was his Neos Wiseman cards...his ace monster. The dying words of his father...was to survive...find a way to unearth that light that darkened this situation. With this...Hiro took the cards and ran off... Years later, Hiro had accumulated all the cards he needed to fix his deck up perfectly. That's when he met up with his own Avatar: Elemental HERO Neos Alius. The two began to make a name for themselves, not only to be duelist said to have his father's monster that was extremely rare laying dormant in his deck...but to have an incredible ability of the mastery of his own body. Through all this, he found the person responsible for his parents death...and dueled him. He never once summoned Wiseman, fearing the same fate his father suffered. Though it was his own Avatar...that finished him off. Bringing the story to now, Hiro and Alius do what they can to survive, working at an on the edge/about to close down card shop.
Powers and Abilities: Mastery of One's Own Body - Unlike many others that reside in the Baseline, Hiro's brain has a perfect control over his overall motor functions. Thanks to this, there is no feet of athleticism that would be impossible for him, and his reflexes would be near instantaneous. Deck: Tale of a WisemanDeck Description: Brings Neos Wiseman forth, by making use of Alius' effect combined with Yubel Avatar

Avatar Evolution: E-HERO Neos Alius Lvl. 4 - Baseline E-HERO Neos Lvl. 7 - Babylon Avatar Personality: Unlike Hiro, Alius is the exact opposite of his duelist. While Hiro is quiet, Alius is loud and sometimes obnoxious and thinks he's big and bad, since he's the basic son of Elemental HERO Neos. However, thanks to this different in personalities and the fact that they clash, this has caused Alius to only receive a fraction of his duelist's power. Even though this has come about, Alius is always there for his duelist, being there when he needs a laugh or a helping hand. Avatar Abilities: Alius also shares the exact power that his duelist, Hiro, has. However, Alius holds a small fraction of this power, not being at the same level as Hiro, but a few levels below. Are they based on the avatar's effect or can they come from other things like their type or attribute? Yes Avatars can be customs. I'm being leinent on power regulation so you can come up with something creative. And it doesn't have to based on effects BUT there has to be an obvious correlation between the Avatar and powers. encapturer
Right now, I'm planning on having Neraine start the story looking for people to travel up to the tower with her to transport supplies and equipment to the post in Midgard; taking with her Baseliners who want to pass the beltline or experienced Midgard travelers. Of course, I don't know what kinds of things you are planning, so that's why I'm posting this here.
Love of Ghibli
That is great. And will be useful in unifying the group. Well non- Babylonians anyway. There will be one initial event that should get all (Non-Babylonians) characters "motivitated" to climbing the tower. If they weren't already anyway. TotalObelisk
Here's an app, just lemme know if anything is off. I'll PM you the custom cards asap
Character:Username: TotalObelisk Name: Aiya Sakeru Age: 16 Gender: Female

Personality: On the surface Aiya is incredibly shy, timid and has very little self-confidence, as such she will often blame herself when things go wrong (even if it's not her fault) and can become incredibly paranoid. She's generally a friendly person and easy enough to get along with but can be easily upset or scared, especially around strangers. If she gets to know someone better she can warm up to them, and even seem somewhat over hyped at times, especially if it concerns anything she likes. She's a bit of a geek and loves games, RPGs and also certain trading card games. She grew up watching a lot of cartoons and has a great love for the 'magical girl' genre; she enjoys them so much that she based her deck off of the genre. During duels Aiya is even more shy and under confident than usual and is easily intimidated by her opponents, especially if she's never faced them before. However this can turn on its head and Aiya can become overconfident if she happens to be winning a duel, often causing her to let her guard down. This will cause her to become even more under confident than before should this result in her opponent gaining the upper hand. Aiya’s under confidence also extends to her recently obtained powers as well as many other supernatural elements around her, she is unsure of herself and is often afraid to use them, sometimes actively trying to shut out her avatar or ignoring her out of fear for them. Residence: Baseline Occupation: Part-time Retail Assistant Biography: Aiya is a single child, and has lived with her parents in the slums for all her life, though despite living in poverty with lacklustre living conditions Aiya has easily gotten used to it and does not complain about her misfortune. Instead she chose escapism to cope with her life and, while brief, it managed to keep her spirits up and pass the time. Due to her family’s lack of money Aiya instead made do with whatever she could find that had been tossed out, usually finding board games or old role playing books that she’s spent most days reading or playing, even if some of the pieces or pages were missing. Eventually however she discovered the game of Duel Monsters and it instantly caught her fascination, unable to afford a proper deck Aiya found herself a part time job at the card store she first discovered, saving her money until she had enough to build her own deck.Shortly after assembling her deck her Avatar, Spell Girl Luna, appeared to Aiya. At first Aiya was terrified and confused, she was aware of the monsters and powers other people had and had spent most of her life making every effort to afford them. Aiya attempted to ignore Luna but she insisted that the two were now bonded together and that if Aiya wanted any chance of surviving in this world she needed to hone her own powers. Reluctantly Aiya agreed to accept Luna’s help but was still apprehensive of her. Shortly after Luna began teaching Aiya however her father went missing out of nowhere, Aiya and her mother searched all over the baseline for him but were unable to find him, all their were able to find were a few clues and eye witnesses that told them he had apparently attempted to make his way to the upper levels, trying to get to Babylon. Aiya’s mother went into hysterics and shut herself inside, refusing to come out. Aiya herself was intending to just try and forget about the event and move on but Luna coaxed her to try and go after her father, telling her it would be a perfect way to develop her powers and grow stronger. In spite of Aiya’s arguments, saying she never wanted the powers in the first place and that it would just make her mother feel even worse having lost both her husband and her daughter Aiya gave in. Regretting her decision Aiya began making her plans to travel up to Babylon. Powers and Abilities: Aiya’s powers manifest themselves in the form of spell circles which she can use for various things; her most common use for them is as a shield which can defend herself from harm, however they are not impregnable and enough force can shatter the barrier which will cause Aiya significant pain. She can also fire mild energy blasts which don’t have much more impact than a standard punch. Her final use is healing, by creating a circle on the ground Aiya casts an aura that heals anybody within the circle, this drains Aiya of energy and can tire her out quickly, the more severe the injuries or the more people inside the more energy it takes.Deck: Magical Synchro Spell GirlsDeck Description: Aiya uses a deck focused around an archetype of Spellcaster-Type monsters called Spell Girls, the deck revolves around the strategy of discarding Spell Cards to activate her monster’s effects which in turn activate more powerful effects from the discarded Spell Cards.Custom Cards: To be PM’dAvatar Avatar: Spell Girl Luna Avatar Personality: Fittingly Luna has a dark and gloomy personality; she hardly ever shows any feelings aside from contempt, annoyance and occasionally bemusement. She tends to talk down to people and is not very tactful when engaging in conversations; conversely she will become extremely irritated if someone starts talking down to her. She prefers to keep encounters brief and will thus keep her replies and conversations short and will often be quite rude to anyone she’s talking to. She has little patience for other people and will become easily irritated if someone is taking too long about anything. Despite being part of a set of cards based around Magical Girls Luna dislikes being referred to in such a way, sees it as degrading and stereotyping. Luna has little social skills and can come across as short tempered and bossy when trying to help Aiya or explain anything to her, not helped by Aiya’s refusal to listen to her. Avatar Abilities: Luna’s abilities are almost identical to Aiya’s, only where Aiyra’s circles and spells take the form of a bright light Luna’s are shadows. The only real difference in their abilities is that instead of healing Luna has the power to cast a dark shroud over an area, either dimming lights or creating perfect pitch darkness, the darker she makes it or the larger the area the more energy it takes, large areas can wear her out quickly.
