Yu-Gi-Oh: Tower Of Babel

In the year 2100 humanity has been oddly...normal. No major world wars, no outbreaks of random diseases, and card games running rampant. Located in the small town of Detroit a drastic project was put in motion to revitalize what was still the decayed city. Politicians got together to attempt to break the world record for largest man made structure, thus giving birth to the "Tower of Detroit." After years of planning and preparation the Tower of Detroit broke ground on April 25, 2114. The hustle and bustle of the spectacle brought a lot of world wide attention to the decayed city. Tourist from every corner of the world began to set-up shop in the city. The city was alive again. What was interesting though was that construction on the Tower of Detroit was progressing at an exponential pace. It was going at a much more expedient pace than anyone had ever actually estimated. In little over a year the Tower of Detroit had bypassed the Burj Khalifa of Dubai in pure height. Eventually it was blocked out by the clouds. No one even understood how was construction still happening. The air was slowly getting thinner and thinner as the construction was ongoing. Then came the questions. How does the former downtrodden slum of America suddenly have the funding to build something so massive? Where is this sudden labor force actually coming from? What happened to all of the gangs and violence that were running rampant right before construction? Like usual the government gave some shady dodgy answers that placated those with lesser minds. Nevertheless the construction continued.

Eventually the Tower of Detroit was said to have touched the clouds. This of course brought out the religious zealots and all of their fury. They came with malice as they insulted the Tower that literally brought Detroit back from the brink by equating it to the mythical Tower of Babel. Apparently the city of Detroit was trying to spit in the face of God and was going to surely be punished. Little did these zealots know, they weren't that far off from the truth. On December 17th 2115 a plane was flying over the city and while the captain was giving his touristy speech about having to move around the tower he noticed (as well did everyone else on the plane) noticed something a tad off in the air. The beast seemed friendly and flew past the plane with no problem. However an hour later when the plane reached its destination social media was in an uproar of the events. And this time all the attention coming at Detroit was about to be negative. The world demanded the shutdown and deconstruction of the Tower of Detroit. Scientist, engineers, physicists, armies, and even exorcist from all over the world started flocked to the city to investigate this tower. It was something that had to be handled. Sadly people who tried to investigate didn't seem to comeback alive. Screams were heard, explosions went off, more monsters were cited, and bodies were literally dropping out of the sky. Eventually the world then became afraid of the Tower of Detroit and people began to lean towards the side of the zealots and start calling the Tower of Detroit the Tower of Babel. At some mention there were threats of nuclear attacks on the tower, but the theoretical fallout seemed to be much more devastating. So it seemed that the Tower of Babel would now be abandoned.

While very slowly Detroit was going back to its former slum like status. After the monster sightings there was a mass exodus of fair-weather tourist and citizens. Though it seems those who stayed in the city of the massive tower were seeming to be rewarded with the development of extraordinary abilities. While it was a slow process (generations)  as time went by the citizens of Detroit were getting super powers. Thought with change comes fear. The world governments and a lot of extremest groups came together to turn Detroit into a quarantine zone that was to be constantly monitored.

Its is now April 25, 2214 and the Tower of Babel and its surrounding buildings have become the largest squatting colony in the world. People from all over the world who have hit rock bottom try to come to the Tower to start a new life. The locals have actually gotten accustomed to the monster attacks. In fact thanks to their squatting they have actually discovered some things about the Tower of Babel that  are not known to the outside world. The locals have decided that there are three levels to the tower. Base, Midgard, and Babylon. No one has ever been to Babylon and lived (or at least admitted to it).  A lot of scientist believe that Babylon holds the answers to the salvation of Detroit so the goal is simple. Hopefully someone in this new generation of potentials will be able to make it to the top of the Tower.

[spoiler: Generalization]
The goal of the game is simple. Make it to Babylon. No tournaments or grand chosen ones. Your mission should you choose to accept it is to survive the Tower of Babel and make it all the way to the top. However inside the tower everything is crazy. Monsters are real, worlds can collide, and other people may just try to get in your way.  There will be shenanigans on the dimension warping scale but those will be kept to a minimum (they're mainly there so you can traverse the tower in more expedient fashion.) You will have powers AND there will be duels so hopefully all of these subsequent spoilers will explain everything. So read on and have fun.

[spoiler: Levels of the Tower & Characters]

Level 1 The Baseline

The first 100 floors and the immediate surrounding neighborhoods of the Tower of Babylon are known as the baseline. All citizens are born somewhere in the Baseline. The Baseline is the largest known squatting area in all of America. The territories are divided amongst several gangs that have become the authority of the Baseline. Other than the gangs the Baseline is a relatively quite place. There haven't been any monster sightings other than those controlled by the natives.

Level 1-2 The Beltline

The ten floors that separate Level 1 and 2 are known as the Beltline. Rarely do people actually make it through the Beltline. It is here where monster decided to show up. And when they do, they come in droves. The monsters are either absurdly fierce or numerous. Because of the constant monster appearance no one actually lives in the Beltline. Residence either run to the baseline or brave the actual combat and make it to the next level. Fortunately those who survive the Beltline do gain a considerable amount of power so that they can function in the next level.

Level 2 Midgard

From 111 to ? is considered Midgard. The monsters in Midguard are legendary and they are attracted to power. Those who reside there are surely some of the toughest and strongest people this world has to offer. Their powers are much more difficult to contend with, unless of course one happens to be from Babylon. Nevertheless due to the intense danger of actually living inside Midgard no one is actually born in Midgard. However there are some bold legendary people who are said to actually live in Midguard and are used to the danger.

Level 3

Level 3 is a secret. No one knows where is starts and no one knows anything about it. The residents from here are also a mystery mainly because people don't even know if there [acronym='If you want to make a character for this level PM me']are actually residents.[/acronym] There will actually be only 4 other characters from Babylon.
[spoiler: Avatar and Powers]

It seemed that the natives who lived in New York all gained certain powers and they manifest in the summoning of Duel Monsters. Every citizen has their own Duel Monster spirit that walks next to them. These "Avatars" as they are called are representatives of the powers that the citizens have. And it seems to be the trend that if people actually do play the card game that is so popular all over the world then these "Avatars" can be a representation of the decks that people use. So far the going ranking is that people who naturally live on the baseline have Avatars whose Level/Rank is 4 or lower. However once they brave the Beltline and make it to Midgard the Avatars evolve to a creature that who's Level/Rank is either 5 or 6 and those people's powers become even greater.

Things to note:

Everyone gets one Avatar (except there is one character who has two and that slot is taken lol).

An avatar can be summoned in an actual duel, at that moment though it is treated as a regular monster and anything that happens in a duel with it will not effect it afterwards. Example: If Brotherhood of the Fire Fist Bear is your avatar and it is summoned to the field if your opponent Bottomless Trap Hole's Bear. At the end of the match Bear will reappear as your Avatar, healthy.

Avatars are the manifestation and representation of ones power meaning they have the same power as you do. Example: You and Bear are both Fire Benders, you do not have to use Bear as a medium for your fire powers.

Your character's relationship with his/her Avatar is completely up to you. Avatars are independent creatures with their own thought process so if you wanted you could have your Avatar and actual character hate each other.

Powers should not be totally broken (there are some few exceptions but if you have any questions feel free to PM me).
[spoiler: Custom Cards]

Custom Cards are always allowed. What fun would a Yu-Gi-Oh RP be with out customs. Thought make no mistake all of the cards must be pre-approved by myself and my word on them is final. If one wants to keep their cards a secret then they are free to PM them to me. If not then the should posted someone where in the app that is clear for anyone to see. And it should also go without saying that if you are using someone else's custom cards you should get that person permission of course.
[spoiler: Duels, Fights, and Armageddon Clock]

Since this is Yugioh based one can assume that there will be dueling and since there are super powers there will also be fights. As far as duels are concerned they should be thought out and planned between the two parties. This duel can be expanded over the length of a couple of post or it can just be one long post in the RP. In terms of fights...those are treated the same way. Please plan some of these interactions ahead of time so it doesn't look like one person is randomly countering every card the other person plays or that a fight just drags on forever because two combatants don't want there fighters to go down.

In the event of an unfortunate situation like the ones mentioned above there will be a plot device called the Armageddon Clock. Whenever a duel/fight takes too long, meaning when one of the RPers becomes inactive, a clock  will come over head over the situation of combat. At that moment one or all of the combatants are knocked unconscious. However if there is one who is stagnated because of the inactivity of another person then only the inactive RPer's character will be knocked unconscious.

[spoiler: Babylon]

[spoiler: Knaommi Kwasi]
Username: BailasGale

Name: Knaomme Kwasi (Pronounced Naomi)

Age: 48

Gender: Female

[spoiler: Appearance]

black_magic_woman_by_sakasagami-d318trq.
Personality: Despite her oddly occultish appearance Knaomme is a very analytical and logic based person person. Her mind constantly tries to figure out everything that she doesn't immediately understand. This stubbornness is partly the reason why she is in the situation that she is in. This need to understand is actually one of her flaws. Her lifes motto is that science should be able to explain everything. Especially when it comes to the occult. The concept of magic is gobsmackingly absurd and borderline offensive. Though this does coincide with her second flaw that if she positively can't understand something then it clearly must not be important. Her denial kicks into overdrive and she tries to dismiss something that she doesn't understand causing her to be very rude and bitter towards some practitioners of magic. On the opposite side of that she does have an amazing respect for people in the other sciences. This is the exception in her in ability to understand crutch. In her mind science is not something she "can't" understand its just something she chose not to understand. If she were to get into a debate with a famed astrologist of a principle about the stars it would not offend that she could not follow the other persons points. She would naturally yield understanding that she was debating with something not in her area of expertise.

In terms of actually playing the card game Knaomme is always annoyed at the entire exercise . She's an adult why does she actually have to play this. This leads to her actually trying to get things over with as soon as possible. However there is some honor in her play so she still refuses to use decks like Chain Burn or Exodia she does believe in giving lesser minds a fighting chance. She credits herself for thinking the possibilities of all her matches through seconds before the person even drew a card. In other words she always has the image of victory in her mind.

Residence: Babylon

Occupation: Physicist in the field of Optics

Biography: Knaomme is actually one of, if not, the top physicist in her field known throughout the world. Some have called her one of the greatest physicist since Sir Isaac Newton himself. She has written numerous papers on the subject of light and has expanded multiple theories on the subject of ones reflective light index. Theoretically her only bought of bad luck would be that she was randomly stranded in the savage land that was known as Detroit. As a resident of Babylon however doesn't make life actually hard for her though. She's actually very interested in the creatures that have dominated the rest of the tower this phenomenon is something that must take some more discovery. Once more she did have a hidden motive to actually use the tower for another project of hers.

In the past weeks she's made repeated trips to the Baseline to spectate on how the citizens are developing their abilities. She's amazed at how much people have grown accustomed to being followed by monsters. Luckily since creatures don't appear malicious below the Beltline the residents are rather peaceful. Unfortunately Knaomme on multiple occasions has had to deal with gangs and other foolish mortals who try and take advantage of her. How dare these foolish being think they can actually challenge her to non cardgame based combat while she has TWO LEVEL 8 Avatar bodyguards. Needless to say there have been some unexplained deaths in the Baseline.

Powers/ Abilities: In tandem with her profession Knaomme is a master of Light and that is light as a scientific principle. She can do everything from making light constructs to changing the reflective light index of her attacks. She's even able to convert herself into light particles and move at the speed of light. Unfortunately one problem is that she can't seem to effect those with stronger minds (PC's) the way she figured she should be able too. By being a master of optics she should technically be able to make people see what she wants to see but that doesn't work. Sadly even with all of these hilariously derp abilities don't help her when she's up against someone else from Babylon. Residents of Babylon aren't immune to her attacks they are just able to fight back at an unparalleled rate. Like herself residents of Babylon seem to just know something the rest of the world doesn't.

Deck: Butterspy And all the support that is already out.

Deck Description: Change the battle position of monsters on the field.

[spoiler: Avatars]

black_luster_soldier___envoy_of_the_twilblack_luster_soldier___envoy_of_the_begi
Avatar Personalities: While they do seem to have free will these two never really show it. Instead of being representations of Knaomme they act as if they are her manifested servants. Most of the time they just walk behind her escorting her from place to place and making sure none of the other monsters get out of line and attack her. Rarely do they have to actually go into action but the upper levels of Midgard are pretty stubborn and powerful. They often need to be reminded that who is in charge around the tower. No one has ever gotten close to them actually have a conversation. In fact if wasn't for Knaomme's confidence in their skill no one would even know if they could speak. Recently there have been sightings of them by themselves looking as if they are searching for something. Though a lot of the times they are simply just going grocery shopping.

Avatar Powers: The twins actually realized that they are actually weaker than Knaomme. While she has borderline mastery over light they can only augment themselves. Of course their base strength is great enough to moving at the speed of light is more than a good enough ability. Though the two of them realized that maybe the world couldn't handle two light masters so instead of just copying Knaomme's power the Avatar manifested as two entities.

[spoiler: Knealli Muhammed]

Character:

Username: BailasGale

Name: Knealli Muhammed (pronounced Nelly)

Age: 26

Gender: Male

[spoiler: Appearance:]

ac_doctrina___mehdi_el_amin_by_mkmorreau
Personality: Knealli is quite the loner and the aloof type. No one ever knows what he is thinking or that he may even exist. He often prefers to work alone but he has very good reason for that, especially when it comes to dealing with the residents of Babylon. However once people make into his inner circle they will see that he is a very pleasant person to be around and is always will to help out those in need. Of course like stated before someone has to actually get to know him in order for that to happen. Like many intellectuals he prides himself on his own intelligence so it is hard for him to accept things that don't have readily available explanations (i.e. magic). However he does submit that all things that exist must exist for a reason and it would be foolish for one person as meager as himself to try to understand everything. Right now though he is focused on trying to understand the human condition. Mainly that is because humans are quite essential to his plans.

Like most Babylonians he doesn't actually care that much for the children's card game. Sure he knows how to play it, mainly because the game has somehow become a staple of this world, but that doesn't mean he's extraordinarily good at it. When he does play he likes to end things quick. He tends to think that the level of forethought in playing the game is a nice cool down when doing something truly laborious and taxing. Rarely does he even meet people who mentally challenge him when he plays the cards. Not to the point where he doesn't loose its just that he is so good at calculations and probability that he often knows when he should lose or win way before his opponent does. Though he does find it amusing how human misplays have cost people so many defeats.

Residence: Babylon

Occupation: Engineer/Terrorist

Biography: Knealli is one of the few Babylonians who doesn't actually stay in the Tower of Babel. Mainly because he doesn't like the feel of being constantly hunted by two speed of light traveling knights that constantly have it out for him. Nevertheless he hasn't gone near the Tower of Babylon till recently. He usually spends his days plotting and scanning differently individuals hoping for potentials to help his plans that involve the Tower of Babel come to fruition. What was interesting was that there were several interesting characters who would make good candidates, but the problem was that they needed motivation. But he has plans for that. Knealli often spends his time observing the other Babylonians. Sure all the Babylonians know each other but that doesn't mean that they would probably go along with his plans. Fortunately a lot of them were nice though so this theory of his should work out well. Of course when it comes to humans you never know how it goes.

Powers and Abilities: Knealli is a Technopath meaning that he has to mastery over machines and basically any electronics. If he ask a machine to do something. It naturally obeys. There are rare cases where super computers or viruses and the like would put up a fight against his control. But what fun is life without a challenge. In terms of direct combat Knealli tends to rely heavily on his avatar for all of the rough stuff though when push comes to shove one would be surprised at [acronym='Picture the all spark in the transformer series']what he could make into a weapon.[/acronym].

Deck: V-Z
Deck Description: Make V-Z and kill things
Custom Cards:

Avatar

Avatar: VWXYZ Dragon Cannon

Avatar Personality: Its a machine. Its only personality is servitude. Rarely does it speak against its master and rarely does it pay attention to things that aren't its masters commands. Though it does try to analyze all organic living things that come across its path. Usually it is not violent but if the master says kill. Then V-Z will not stop firing till whatever the opponent is becomes a "was."

Avatar Abilities: Besides an unholy slew of armaments that arm the massive behemoth. V-Z can break into any of the forms that make it up. This comes in very handy when traversing the lower levels because no one can suspect Knealli of being from anywhere other than the baseline. In addition to that While V-Z is not a technopath like its master it does possess superior hacking and processing  abilities. It has the mental processing capacity of six super computers and with that there isn't a defense system in the world that can stand up to it. Well not a known one anyway.
[spoiler: Kounane Mandel]

Character:

Username: kanokarob

Name: Kounane Mandel (pronounced Conan)

Age: 23

Gender: Male

Appearance: Tall and confident stature, with long and spiked white hair. Frighteningly pale skin, orange eyes, bears a mark that looks like 3 talons surrounding a dot when using his ability. Wears a long blue suit-vest,, withblack boots and chemist's goggles around his neck.

Personality: Kounane is a very emotionally over-extended person. Being Mute from birth, he relies on wearing his feelings on his shoulder, so to speak, and hand gestures to speak. He has never learned Sign Language, but understands English just fine. In duels he has a love and affection for his monsters, putting himself in jeopardy to defend them. In battle he is destructive and violent, also preferring to put himself in harm's way more than his Avatar.

Residence: Babylon

Occupation: Chemist

Biography: Kounane works at the Midgard, offering unmarked vials of elixirs to those passing through and upward. Those who have decided to not go up and return to the Baseline discover them to be harmless and even beneficial nutrients, but some cannot help think that he gives something very different to those who continue upward.

Occasionally he actually comes down to the Baseline, mostly to duel and what many believe (Due to his inability to speak) are warnings and threats to those who should wish to climb the Tower to the mythical Babylon. Once, he even chose to bring a number of nearby rocks to life to wall in a reckless child trying to enter the Tower. In fact, the few times he is seen outside his small lackluster lab at Midgard (If even there) he is been violent and unstable.

Powers and Abilities: Kounane can shift inanimate objects into living creatures, even being capable of creating carbon copies of himself. It seems though, from what people have observed, that it takes significantly more focus to create simpler creatures, and if they stray from him they wither into decayed forms of the original object.

Deck: Koa'ki Meiru
Deck Description: Quickly summon Larger Koa'ki Meiru monsters to the field, with support from the hand to keep them alive.
Custom Cards: None ATM

Avatar

Avatar: Level 8 Koa'ki Meiru Maximus

Avatar Personality: Itching to fight, but obedient to Conan's wishes to protect itself.

Avatar Abilities: Can turn living things into inanimate objects, but turning most humans requires a large amount of focus. It seems though that people who have gone exceedingly high in the tower are easier for it to convert.

Character:

Username: H.N. Elly

Name: Lilleeanna Thane

Age: 27

Gender: Female
Lilleeanna is a pale woman of unblemished fair skin, and sharp angular features that give off a regality to her. Her eyes are a deep black, that if one stares at them for too long they will just become lost in them. Her hair is also black but it, unlike her eyes, is lustrous and seems to have a tinge of purple within. Lilleeanna’s attire consists of a deep royal blue robe, that resembles a bath robe, and underneath she wears very loose black pants. Always barefoot, she never wears any sort of make-up or other adornment.

As Daniel Lilleeanna still has her fair skin and dark hair, but in this form her eyes become a deep ocean blue. This form has a gentle and feminine appearance for the purpose of making herself look innocent to others, and is often her main way of finding information. As Daniel she wears an oversized beige sweater that hangs almost over the tips of her fingers, and faded jeans. For footwear she wears sneakers.

As Amatis Lilleeanna loses her fair skin to the holds of time and it becomes slightly darker and wrinkled with age. Her eyes become a dark stormy grey, and her hair shining silver with streaks of pitch black.  In terms of clothing she wears a raged black and beige shawl over a earth shirt and dress which both have red trimming and beaten leather moccasins.

As Yuriko Lilleeanna , again, has fair skin but she now has pale yellow eyes. Her hair is shorter yet still the same lustrous black as her true form. As Yuriko Lilleeanna wears a dark purple pantsuit, and black high heels.
Personality: Lilleeanna is a very calm woman who just rolls with the waves of life not becoming overly excited or upset about anything that happens. She seems to show no passion what-so-ever and her only emotion seems to be a thin, shallow placidness towards people. The only thing she really seems to get into are her speeches, which are often round-about, but what people are mostly able to glean from it is that she wants humanity to grow and advance as much as possible and believes in unrestricted knowledge and freedom for all in a world that should be able to shaped by the strong people who take action.

The same can be said for Duel Monsters, she gives little care for the game, but sees it as a momentary time waster and distraction from life. It does seem to hold some amusement for her though, especially when dueling those who are weaker than her, and enjoys dragging duels out just to toy with her opponent.

Residence: Babylon

Occupation: Theologian

Biography: Lilleeanna’s origins are quite the mystery to all, and she seems in no particular hurry to share them. Despite her mysterious origins she does not come off as malicious. Her reputation among the occult has turned her into a legend among those at the Baseline, and during her trips to the Baseline she is very sought after especially by men who ask her to make women fall in love with them. This is another reason she earned a reputation among those at the Baseline, who believe she may not be entirely ethical in her practice, but her power keeps anyone from speaking out against her.

She will often make trips down to the lower levels of the tower, in one form or another, to examine the populous and spread knowledge as an educator, though some seem her as nutjob, as her speeches are often roundabout and confusing, though she has earned quite the cult following. This leads to her occupation the running of a church in the Beltline known as the Ring of Gaea, were she passes down the teachings of "God". The reason the church is located within the Beltline and not the Baseline is that so only those who have power (though it may be minuscule) are able to reach it. These trips are no problem for her considering she is a resident of Babylon, along with the fact that she exudes an extremely intimidating aura seem to deter any of the monsters that would think to do her, and those that are stupid enough to attack her are easily dispatched by Belial.

Powers and Abilities: Lilleeanna primary combat ability consists of wielding chaotic and dark energies, and when they are released in physical form often are sporadic and extremely hard to control often Lilleanna just lets them fly  were they may not having much care as to wear the land. Their immense destructive power also comes from the fact, that these energies do not belong in the human world, and when they interact with anything from it, the reaction is somewhat relatable to mixing salt and vinegar on a much larger scale.

Lilleeanna also has the ability to control the minds of weaker minded men (NPCs) through a kiss. Once under her control the man will do anything to protect Lilleeanna, even at the cost of his own life. The only way for the men to be awakened from their hypnosis is to for Lilleeanna to be defeated in battle, or for her to release them herself. While a man is under her control she is able to see whatever he sees, but during this time she is unable to control her own body.

Lilleeanna also has the ability to change her form to that of a young boy named Daniel, and old woman named Amatis, and a middle-aged woman named Yuriko.

Lilleeanna is also conduct Arcane and Occult rituals of varying kinds that can be used for combat or for business purposes.

Deck: Goetic Lord
Deck Description: Each of the four Goetic Lords are based on their personality, and translating them into a part of the game. Also consists of summoning spam to summon the Lords, and Anti-LIGHT tactics.
Custom Cards: King of the Stygian Abyss – Helel

Goetic Lord – Decarabia of Jewel

Goetic Lord – Barbatos the Philosopher

Goetic Lord – Astaroth the Temptation

Goetic Lord – Belial of Fire

Gomorrah Fire
Avatar: Goetic Lord – Belial of Fire

Avatar Personality: Belial though perfectly sentient seems to be quite subservient around her master, and only when her Master allows her to cut loose does her personality shine through. She has an utter contempt and hatred for human beings, and only wishes to use them to feed of their vices such as jealousy, hatred, and greed. She is most literally true and purest evil in its most incorruptible form, and regards herself as the ‘true’ divinity all others being false.

Avatar Abilities: Much like her Master, Belial has the ability to wield dark and chaotic energies, as well as fire. While she cannot seduce men, she is able to control any man that Lilleeanna has put under her control.

Username: Toyoko Kuroki
Name: Ellysia Rozenschwarz (first name pronounced Alicia, but she prefers to be called Elly)
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Appearance:x1bns6.jpg
"I see... So you do not wish to befriend me. Very well. It matters not. However, I have one last request to make of you; would you please die for me?"
Personality: To most people, Elly acts like your typical gothic lolita. She talks in a very formal and very eloquent way, and often says her lines with a condescending tone. To add to this point, she rarely smiles when she is on her own, only smiling when mocking the person she's talking to. However, while her appearance and demeanor suggests she is a cold ice queen, Elly is in fact a very friendly and outgoing person. Almost too friendly in fact. Since most things die when she is near her, Elly is desperate to find someone meaningful in her life, so she will try and be friends with anyone she meets. Once she finds someone she likes, Elly's personality changes drastically. While she retains the speech pattern, she turns into a cloudcuckoolander that is unaware of her own surroundings, focusing only on talking to her friend or playing with them.

Of course, she can be overly possessive with someone she likes. While she used to be a kind-hearted child, Alice has corrupted her into a dangerous, emotionally unstable yandere who will not take kindly to jealousy and rejection. Many things can flip her switch easily. Not hanging out with her? Death. Talking to other people while she's around? Death as well. She will not waste a second thinking about killing someone who 'abandoned' her, only to weep about it a second later.

Elly does not have much actual dueling experience, but as she hails from Babylon, she is very skilled at it. Her duels end quick and she seeks to end her opponent using her avatar, which is fitting as it is a personification of death.

Residence: Babylon

Occupation: Fortune teller. She has a small fortune telling booth set up at Beltline, where she is known for her 100% accurate readings with a tarot deck. More often than not, these fortunes end with the Death Arcana drawn upright.

Biography: Elly has been a mysterious being throughout most of her life. She resides in a place where no-one thought it would be possible to, and is capable of inflicting death simply by existing.

She awakened to her powers at age 10, and met her avatar a year later. At the time, Elly was left as an orphan after her parents committed a mysterious suicide. She was lonely and didn't question anything Alice said that the time.

Eventually, she got bored of life as the mistress of a mansion nobody can reach. When she heard that there is going to be a bunch of people attempting to reach Babylon, Elly felt excited for the first time in several years. She decided that she's going to go down the Tower (Which she refers to as "Tartarus" instead of "Tower of Babel"), and help out whoever she finds interesting at the cost of befriending her forever and ever.

Powers and Abilities: In terms of physical strength, Elly is relatively weak to other people. She has no actual combat experience and actually actively avoids direct combat, but Elly has very strong magical power, which is further reinforced by her Avatar Alice. For starters, being with Elly for prolonged periods of time is capable of driving people to suicide, although the process takes quite a while. If you spend a month living under the same roof as her, you probably wouldn't survive to live another. Her very presence is enough to kill small monsters and causes flowers to wither. As her appearance suggests, Elly's main power is related to death and darkness. She can create a magic circle of darkness that can kill any monster from Midgard below, as well as any human that ticks her off.
As a side note, do not get her to say the words "Die for me." When she says it, her ability activates automatically and you will suffer a horrible death soon.

Deck: Aeon Currently incomplete, but in total there will be 21 monsters

Deck Description: Mainly based on copying each other's effects and stacking the deck to gain advantage. Main card is Fool of The Aeon.
Custom Cards: Most of it in the thread.

Avatar: Death of The Aeon - Alice
Lvl: 7

Avatar Personality: Alice's personality can be best described as an extension of Elly's dark thoughts. She is much more possessive over those she likes, and will stop at nothing to kill those who injure Elly. She treats Elly like a sister and vice-versa, with the two keeping each other company for 3 years straight. She holds little regard to humans except for Elly, and if she wills it, she would kill anybody she wants. Throughout the three years, Alice has pretty much corrupted her master. Slowly but surely, Elly is losing her humanity. However, she has no dark thoughts about her and is simply doing so because that's what she believes is right.

Avatar Abilities: Alice's ability is identical to Elly's, although it is much more controlled and doesn't cause lesser beings to die. However, unlike Elly who kills via a magic circle, Alice simply touches the target and it will slowly turn into black dust. Humans disappear completely in 30 seconds, while bigger creatures die in less than a minute. The victim is conscious during the disintegration process and can see their bodies slowly fading to black.
Username: Blue Amoonguss
Name: Ikaruga Tamaka
Age: 39
Gender: Male
Appearance: He stands at 5'11'' and weighs 209 lbs, though he has a rather lean body. He has long white hair that goes halfway down his back, and slightly cover his auburn eyes. He has a angular face, with no blemishes on his caucasian skin. He often wears a grey kimono over his entire body, and wears worn sandals on his feet. He also has a nodachi sheathed at the hip. For those who don't know, a nodachi is a long, curved sword.

Personality: Upon first glance of this shopkeeper, one would describe Ikaruga as a Japanese otaku. He's rather passionate (if not silly or ridiculous) about Japanese culture, and will often make references to popular anime and manga. He's a rather optimistic fellow who is proud of his otaku-ness, but don't let his whimsy attitude fool you; he's rather wise and knowledgable about several things, including the Yugioh card game and it's uses in the Tower of Babel. Even when faced with thieves and gangs, he keeps his smile as he dispatches them with swift pressure point attacks. He's got a good eye on things, which allows him to make sure nothing suspicious goes on in his shop.

He's very kind with people, but he has good bartering skills that earn him a tidy profit from the cards he collects from other sellers and places. He's also well-known as the traveling card shop, and he has the skills to stop crooks, thieves, and other rift-raft that try to take his valuable merchandise. Because of this, most of the people and gangs in the tower and the general area usually don't mess with his merch, as the last guy had his hand broken in 6 different places. He's very serious about thieves, and he hates to eat eggplants.

Residence: Baseline/Midgard

Occupation:Card Shop Owner

Biography: Ikaruga Tamaka was born of Japanese descent, though he was born somewhere in what was known as the state of California. Being raised in a traditional family, he learned Japanese culture and self-defense techniques from various sources. He also got into Yugioh, and he grew a large interest in many of it's aspects. When his mother and father passed away at the age of 17, he was already in the business of buying and selling cards, having a good selection of cards for sale at the time. When he heard from a casual buyer of his merchandise that this place in detroit had many rare treasures and cards, he packed up and left California to travel there, planning to drum up more business there.

When he arrived at the tower, his avatar immediately appeared next to him. While both were confused, a bystander who saw this gave him a general description on what avatars were and their odd abilities. His avatar now helps him with his business, though due to the fact that the place is a craphole, he has to move around among the floors so he could find potential buyers. He still barely makes ends meet, just getting enough to feed him and his avatar, though sometimes they had to go hungry for days.

Powers and Abilities: Ikaruga has a good amount of knowledge on human pressure points, and the skills to take advantage of them, to paralyse and knock out his opponent in a swift and effective matter. He also has an instant memory; it's a skill learned that is based on the fact that we see a memory of things in our vision. By using this technique, he can skip the mental feedback process entirely, and make it seem like he has instant precognition for about a half-second. He has good dodging manuevers, and is able to pick up on martial art techniques quickly, thanks to the side effects of his avatar.

Deck: Six Samurai
Deck description: Use the effects of several spells and abilities to swarm the field with powerful monsters, and lockdown the opponents spell and trap cards with Great Shogun Shien and Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En, while relying on a few counter and draw cards to efficiently do so.

Avatar: Chamberlain of the Six Samurai/ Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En

Avatar Personality: The Chamberlain often acts like a real Samurai; he has respect and honor in his mind. He's also rather kind, but strict, as he spars with Ikaruga on the days the shop is closed with swordplay and martial arts. The relationship between the two is similar to a mix of family members and brothers. While Ikaruga is stronger than him in close-quarters combat, The Chamberlain is a better swordsman.
Avatar Powers: The Chamberlain is unique, in the fact that he has the ability to willingly change between his forms in a flash. He's also rather skilled with swords, and his techniques are shared with Ikaruga through a mental bond they have, which also allows him some knowledge on the techniques from Ikaruga.

Character:

Username: encapturer

Name: Neraine Evans

Age: 24

Gender: Female

Appearance:
30t195f.jpg
The clothing was a present from her parents, she likes them and takes good care of them; damaging them is a good way to get on her bad side.  This is even though she has a few extra changes of similarly-styled clothing hidden in both bases.  Her sword was given to her when she was making the initial trek through the beltline to defend herself with; nowadays it functions more as a sidearm.  She prefers to use a spiked mace to take advantage of the crushing blows she is able to deal with her ability.

Personality: Neraine is pretty calm and composed for the most part.  She tends to not jump in immediately, preferring to think out her actions.  In a place where one false move can mean death, having a clear mind helps tons.  However, if action is needed, Neraine starts to act... overly dramatic.  It is her way to fire herself up when the time for planning is over, and it is... quite effective, if sometimes excessively showy.

This stems from the fact that Neraine always feels like she has something to prove.  She doesn't get offended easily, but if she feels like she is crossed or something, she doesn't forgive easily, and can hold grudges for a long time.  Similarly, she can be taunted as well, but all that does is make her angry; she normally wouldn't go out and try to beat you to a pulp then, but she'll plan your humiliating defeat first, then set out to face you.

Still, she can push forward with an almost single-minded drive for whatever goal she sets her mind to.  Doesn't mean she will succeed, but she's not the type to leave things half-finished if possible.  Neraine isn't a perfectionist, though, and can be downright hasty if pressed for time; she practical in that sense, though rushing things may cause problems in the future... if she isn't told that she should be careful.

She can come off as cold sometimes to other people, as it makes her feel more capable than she really is - though she is trying to work on that, honest.  She does feel that each human life is something to be treasured, though she does hold hers in higher regard than most.  She will risk her life for her friends.  She won't be able to explain why, though she just goes with it and hope for the best at that point.

Residence: Midgard/baseline

Occupation: Tower Researcher, officially.  In practice, she runs supplies and assists people in reaching Midgard.

Biography:

[spoiler:History]Neraine came to the tower about five years ago as part of an expedition group.  She joined it right out of high school in order to pay for tuition; it turns out that conducting research in a dangerous location pays rather well if you survive.  And since she didn't want to take out a student loan to supplement her scholarship, this was her best bet.

Once at the tower, the group made their way to the 60th floor, and set up their base of operations there.  At this point, they had a small amount of people who had gained powers... and Neraine was not one of them.  She would end up not fighting monsters, instead, she would end up observing and cataloging them, creating a sort of bestiary for those exploring the tower.  She did dabble in some of the other duties, like mapping and avatar research, as well.  After about three years of this, it was decided that since a good number of the team had gained an avatar, the bulk of the team would make a push into Midgard, to continue their research.  It was decided to send someone who had not gained an avatar with the team, and Neraine volunteered, since she had gained skill in staying out of trouble, even the couple of times the team ventured to the first two floors of the beltline.  Thus the trek began.

First three floors were cleared faster than expected; the group had hired a few experienced natives to assist in the climb, so things actually went smoother than before.  During this time Neraine furiously took notes about what she encountered, and barely got into trouble - the hordes were dealt with quickly, and the odd strays were shown no quarter - the team's lives depended on this, after all.  The next four floors were hectic.  Some of the squad were starting to succumb to the strain of the sustained fighting, though Neraine was still full of energy.  As such, she was still able to keep herself safe - though she needed to assist the others around here.  While no longer able to record data, the others appreciated having another hand to help out,  even if she was woefully underpowered.

The last three floors were utter chaos.  Even with their preparation, the party was overwhelmed near the end of the trip.  About half of the natives and researchers were killed here.  It was a mad dash to the exit where the group would be able fend off the monsters one at a time.  Unfortunately, Neraine was separated from the rest of her group, and had to fend for herself, and without an ability it would seem like this would be the end of her life... that is, until she heard a voice.

"You shall not die here, child."

A purple wormhole appeared in front of Neraine, an a similarly colored humanoid machine emerged, blocking the strike from the .  Calling itself 'Granzon', it claimed that she had the ability to defeat the creatures - that she was the master of her own gravity.  As it spoke, Neraine realized that she must have unconsciously used her ability to escape certain death many times in the past, and proceeded to use her sword and her gravity ability to defeat the beasts that had cornered her.  Rejoining the remnants of the expedition, all were surprised to see that Neraine had gained an Avatar after those long years, and a neat ability as well.

Since then, the expedition has been doing relatively well, and Neraine has been selected to run the supply route between the outside world, the floor 60 base, and the new floor 113 base.  She has taken the initiative to attempt to recruit new people to the team, by taking promising individuals with her during her runs through the beltline, believing that Midgard will become safer the more people arrive there and gain further power.  As the face of the expedition among those in the baseline, she does enjoy some popularity, though this has been a double edged sword: people know that she has money, and is often the target by thugs looking for a way to quick riches.
Powers and Abilities: Her central ability is her control over her personal gravity; she is able to change the vector of gravity for herself and things she touches.  For things she is touching, she requires a period of constant contact to sync with her ability.  This link deteriorates over time, though if it is something she uses often, linking again takes a negligible amount of time.  If her ability is used on a separate object and Neraine stops touching it, the altered gravity lasts for only about 10 seconds, before gravity begins acting normally on that object.

Since Neraine's ability is over her gravity, she can do things like walk on walls and the ceilings, simulate flight, as well as attack with increased force by shifting the gravity vector parallel to the direction of her strikes.  By itself, her power does no damage to a foe (unless she can link with it, but that's dangerous), but it supplements her combat abilities.

Deck: Dark Prison
Deck Description: Machine-type deck that tries to stall until Granzon is summoned, which becomes a one machine army.

Avatar

Avatar: Granzon | Level 6

Avatar Personality: It is rather aloof, preferring to not interact with others if at all possible.  Tends to be rather polite when it speaks usually, though it can come off as condescending at times.  As a sign that it has accepted Neraine's growth, it has started calling her 'My Lady' instead of 'Child'.  Never sounds angry, even when it should, preferring... other ways to vent its anger.  Does not like it if others attempt to manipulate Neraine against her will, and will make its opinion known if brought up.

In battle, it prefers to let Neraine handle everything, believing that it will help her grow.  Has a good battle-sense, so one can tell if a battle is tough if Granzon gets involved and assists Neraine.  On the other hand, it relishes the chance to participate in duels, wanting to show its superiority over other cards.  Even if it doesn't win, it is satisfied if many of the opponents monsters fall by its hand.

Avatar Abilities: Granzon has the same self-gravity control that Neraine has, though it can also make wormholes.  Unlike Neraine, it can only link with objects by pulling them through a wormhole to him.

[spoiler: Erika Majilo]

Character:
Username: Admiral_Stalfos19
Name: Erika [acronym='pronounced ma-hee-low']Majilo[/acronym]
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Appearance: Erika stands at a solid 5' 6", and has a respectable BHW ratio of 32-22-29. It's rude to ask for her weight, but you should know that she is at a very healthy weight, and her skin is naturally tanned too; it's not like she's normally white but recently got herself tanned. Erika is never seen without the silver cross necklace around her neck; she'll even wear it while she's in the shower or whilst wearing a swimsuit. Erika doesn't wear much in the way of clothing, although she does wear a [acronym='which practically acts as her bra, since she doesn't wear one']black tank top[/acronym] underneath her sweater, as well as stockings that reach up to her knees but are covered by her skirt, and a pair of admittedly low quality high heels.
32966d3d92c4f4d87cdfb251dc64dfe3029842ee
Personality: Although she tries to have some hope in her life, Erika is ultimately quite the defeatist. Her confidence in climbing the Tower of Babel is understandably low, as her physical attributes are rather mediocre at best compared to everyone else inside the tower, and it doesn't help that she's not a strong duelist either. She has a heavy reliance on her avatar, The Magician, to see her through, whether that be seeing a potential card combo that might get her out of a tight spot in a duel, saving her from getting into trouble or falling into a trap within the Tower of Babel, or even just to cheer her up and keep her going. The latter seems to be a constant occurrence, however, as Erika is currently going through depression with what the mounds of problems she had to go through in her home country of Mexico.

Speaking of which, Spanish is Erika's native language, and in spite of her fluency in English, she always has this instinct to switch her speaking language to Spanish whenever she's angry or upset, regardless of who's around her or who she's speaking to. She's reluctant to translate what she says though, especially when she knows damn well that it may be seen as offensive. That said, her English speaking is very restrained; although she may accidentally let slip the Spanish equivalent of an F-bomb when in a panic attack, she'll never swear in English, and when she's in doubt of whether a statement in English is offensive or not, she'll either say it in Spanish or not at all.
Residence: Baseline
Occupation: Freelancer Writer/Aspiring Author
Biography: For the first 23 years of her life, Erika Majilo remained in Mexico City where she was born, and initially raised by a single mother. She never got to know her father, who died some time before her mother gave birth to her, and her mother died crossing the border when she was 7; although Erika's mother succeeded in crossing the border undetected, she was run down by an outlaw driving a pickup truck whilst crossing the Arizonian desert. Erika was only 7 at the time her mother left her, but she didn't get the news of her death until a week or so later... which was practically the starting point of her downhill struggle. Erika was already barely able to pay for food to eat for course of the time she was able to stay in the house; she didn't even see the bills that had to be paid on top of that, and by the time she realized they had to be paid, she was kicked out of her own home on her 8th birthday, and left to fend for herself out on the streets.

However, after another 15 years of the same crap, Erika decided enough was enough, and high-tailed it onto a bus headed North. Then, as soon as soon as she got as far North as she was ever going to by bus, she proceeded further North on foot until she reached the Mexican Border. And there Erika was, staring into the horizon of the American lands on the other side of the border, and wondering what it would be like to live there... until a wild stroke of luck appeared, in a form of a coyote who was smuggling illegal immigrants in the back of his SUV. The coyote offered Erika a ride in the passenger seat to be taken to America as well... on the condition that she was to consent to doing a little something to him whilst he was driving, which I won't mention because YCM has maturity issues. Erika was understandably hesitant at first, but seeing no other options, she accepted. To be honest though, the coyote would've probably turned the other cheek and set off by himself if Erika wasn't as well endowed as she was at the time, leaving her to contemplate how to bypass the barrier before her herself.

Nonetheless, Erika and the coyote set off together in the SUV, with Erika taking off her sweater and tank top before doing the thing she agreed to do to the coyote. And then they pulled up to the border patrol. Erika, being the defeatist she always had been, was sure that she'd be done in right there and then... until the coyote initiated his plan; stalling the border patrol until the car in front of him was about a mile away from the SUV before suddenly taking off into the desert. Although the standard patrol units couldn't pursue the coyote in the desert, he was having trouble shaking off the ones that could, but with the right amount of cunning and the right amount of brute force, he managed to get by and lose the lot of them, leaving him to drop off the other illegal immigrants in peace. Erika managed to plead the coyote into taking her to Detroit, where he was headed to get his payment. She had to sacrifice her virginity before the coyote would do so, though, since he insisted on it. Still, the two arrived in Detroit overnight, which was where Erika parted ways with the coyote. However, since arriving in Detroit, Erika had made a new companion; Arcana Force I - The Magician. At first Erika regarded The Magician as nothing more than an optical illusion, but she eventually warmed up to him out of a lack of true friends.

As of now, Erika resides inside a small flat in the low end of Detroit, working as a freelancer writer in order to pay not only for the accommodation itself, but also for food, water and power. Also she doesn't have many luxuries, Erika has in fact managed to get herself a Duel Disk, as well as some Duel Monsters cards that could be sold cheaply. Erika dreams of being an author, but has had trouble getting ideas for a fantasy novel lately. The Magician suggested that Erika should take a trip to The Tower of Babel to get some inspiration, but Erika still remains unsure about the idea, mostly because she's unsure of any expenses involved though. But perhaps it's about time she ventured inside regardless, and sought herself a little adventure. It could be the break from reality that she desperately needs.
Powers and Abilities: Erika can subconsciously alter the probability of getting what she needs to stop herself from losing a duel. For example, if she's on few enough Life Points for something like Ookazi to finish her off, the chance of getting off Arcana Force II - The Priestess' effect to negate and banish it increases significantly. There's also the uncanny "coincidence" that when Erika summons Arcana Force I - The Magician, or activates Light Barrier with intent to follow up with The Magician, the resulting coin flip always lands on Heads. Erika refuses to admit she has this ability however, and when it goes off, she'll just pass it off as dumb luck.

For the record, I know that Strength exists as an Arcana Force monster, but since GX stuffed up the order of the Major Arcana, I refuse to use the one provided and will redo it entirely. Also, Arcana Force XV's name will still be referred to as The Devil, since 4Kids clearly has no respect that it's called The Devil for a reason  <_<

Avatar: Arcana Force I - The Magician
Baseline
Avatar Personality: While Erika is a natural defeatist, The Magician is an aspiring warrior that never gives in, even when the odds are stacked against the both of them. While Erika is suffering from depression, The Magician resides himself as a beacon of happiness that shall cheer her up whenever she's down. While Erika is fluent in the Spanish language, The Magician... couldn't understand even it if his life depended on it. So basically, The Magician is the polar opposite of Erika to a fault, and as such, he and Erika do have their fair share of arguments. But alas, The Magician supports Erika through thick and thin, and is always willing to lend a hand while he can. About the only times he doesn't offer pointers is when he's busy trying to fight a monster, or when Erika has his card face-up on the field, in which case "duty calls".
Avatar Abilities: The Magician's abilities are pretty much the same as his in-game effect; the spells he casts are twice as powerful as normal when Erika or someone nears her activates a Spell Card to use as a weapon. He's also a healer, and will use his healing magic to help someone recover from anything, whether it be the common cold or a scratch or bruise or even an entire arm having been lopped off. The latter is about as major an injury as he can manage to heal though, and he tends to use his healing powers sparingly. He never uses them during a fight, for example, since injuries can only stack up.

[spoiler: Noah "Seven" Croodir]

Character:

Username: BailasGale

Name: Noah "Seven" Croodir

Age: 22

Gender: Male

Appearance: Noah is a 5'11 African American who wears an expensive pair of glasses because he is legally blind without them. He can usually be seen wearing slacks and a blazer in his attempts to look professional. His head is always freshly cut and there is no facial hair on him outside of his not very thick mustache. In terms of physic he looks disturbingly average but a trained eye would easily pick up his smooth almost shiny skin tone. He tries to keep up with technological innovations, but he's never really current with them (i.e. in an iPhone 6 world he would still have an iPhone 4).

Personality: Noah is a very optimistic person who tries deeply to see the best in every situation. Given that he is someone who comes from what could be argued deplorable conditions he tries his best to be humble and friendly to strangers. He and his pet sized Avatar are often seen frolicking in the lower areas of the baseline acting as if they don't have a care in the world. About the only thing Noah takes seriously is his work. He is relatively new to his field and all of his business is word of mouth so he tends to go over the top in all of his missions and mission related tasks. Rarely does Noah not smile or better yet frown though he has a lot to frown about. While he has had a depressing stream of bad luck he always knows it could get worse.

In terms of playing the card game. Noah's pretty amateurish. He doesn't grasp the concept of plusses and minuses. His theory is simply that if the monster is bigger than it must be better. Which oddly works half the time. He doesn't have the worst learning curve ever its just that no one ever tries to teach him better. Of course dueling doesn't come up much in his day to day life and even when it does..he wins. Unlike others he doesn't try to make his opponent suffer or even draw out the best they can be. His strategy like stated before is simple, summon big things and swing with him. How his opponent deals with that is up to them.

Residence: Baseline

Occupation: Transporter

Biography: Noah is an orphan and like some typical orphans he know recollection of his parents. If it wasn't for the law of genetics he wouldn't even know if he was capable of having parents. Nevertheless like most orphaned children he grew up in a ragged orphanage doing ragged orphan like things. Luckily though life was not as depressing as one would think. He was fed and clothed reasonably well. Education was managed well thanks to the public school system and his job of being a messenger sometimes paid outstandingly well. So tuition (with the aid of Financial Aid) was covered. But the fun thing about Noah was his nickname "Seven." Seven comes from the fact that Noah is the seventh child in his orphanage to get their avatar before the age of ten. Before he even fully developed his powers he had a somewhat cuddly small dragon avatar. Naturally he became friends with the beast and since the concept of Avatars are normal in Detroit no one really had a problem with it.

As he grew older and made his way into the big world of adults he quickly realized that he would have to be one of the many people who would have to squat in the actual Tower of Babel itself. This was a rough and tumble life as gangs roamed the towers floors claiming random people's living quarters as their own. Luckily it seemed that the gangs had evacuated and reclaimed a clothing store. This made Noah slightly curious as he realized that would be the perfect place for him to squat in. Sadly that meant the gangs would have to relocate. Fortunately his powers were pretty much useful for people removal. The enemy never even saw there defeat coming as they were knocked unconscious so quickly. With some indoor plumbing in the back behind the store front and there actually being a large array of clothes left over Noah figured he hit the jackpot.

Naturally Noah wants to leave Detroit and Babylon and to do so he needs money. His transport job usually entails him partnering with some random driver to ensure the safety of the package. Oddly enough a lot of the times this comes with an outrageous amount of danger. So much so that he has probably come close to death several dozen times. But one thing for sure is that the more dangerous the mission the higher the pay. Thanks to his danger quota being filled by his work he, doesn't have any aspiration to actually make it to Babylon. Why put yourself in danger for a simple theory when the money is real? Honestly the true reason he is afraid of progressing the tower is that he has heard rumors of people who have actually survived the Beltline and have watched their Avatars change. Noah has built a very deep connection with his Avatar as it is and as one of the few constants in his life he is very afraid to change it.

Powers and Abilities: Noah is an Earth Bender. Meaning through weird katas and movements he can shape, mold, and shoot out Earth wherever it is. His skills have not gotten as far as metal bending and he has a limit of how pure a mineral he can bend is, but thanks to his Avatar he tends to fair alright.

Deck: TerraDragons
Deck Description: Summon big things.

Avatar: Terradragon Toruga Lvl 4

Avatar Personality: Mans best friend as a cuddly little Earth Dragon. Always by his master's side and ever protecting of his master. Oddly enough Toruga is more astute than his master and is also very intelligently. While Dorian maintains his cheery persona and sometimes naive optimism Toruga actually reals him back and keeps him safe. Noah even theorizes that Toruga has done his homework on certain occasions. Unfortunately Toruga doesn't talk in human tongue. He's smart and can fully comprehend it but he just can't speak it. Therefore he relies on facial expressions and body gestures to communicate. His powers often help out too.

Avatar Abilities: Toruga is one of the few Avatars that can genuinely claim it is stronger than the person its partner. While he possesses he same Earth Bending talents as Noah, Toruga is actually gifted with the ability to Terraform. He can fully change everything (inorganic) within a 50m radius into solid Earth. This way he and his partner are never without Earth to bend. In short he has the Midus touch but with rocks instead.
Character:

Username: TotalObelisk

Name: Aiya Sakeru

Age: 16

Gender: Female
i_am_a_duellist_by_totalobelisk-d6u0xva.
Personality: On the surface Aiya is incredibly shy, timid and has very little self-confidence, as such she will often blame herself when things go wrong (even if it's not her fault) and can become incredibly paranoid. She's generally a friendly person and easy enough to get along with but can be easily upset or scared, especially around strangers. If she gets to know someone better she can warm up to them, and even seem somewhat over hyped at times, especially if it concerns anything she likes. She's a bit of a geek and loves games, RPGs and also certain trading card games.

She grew up watching a lot of cartoons and has a great love for the 'magical girl' genre; she enjoys them so much that she based her deck off of the genre. During duels Aiya is even more shy and under confident than usual and is easily intimidated by her opponents, especially if she's never faced them before. However this can turn on its head and Aiya can become overconfident if she happens to be winning a duel, often causing her to let her guard down. This will cause her to become even more under confident than before should this result in her opponent gaining the upper hand. Aiya’s under confidence also extends to her recently obtained powers as well as many other supernatural elements around her, she is unsure of herself and is often afraid to use them, sometimes actively trying to shut out her avatar or ignoring her out of fear for them.

Residence: Baseline

Occupation: Part-time Retail Assistant

Biography: Aiya is a single child, and has lived with her parents in the slums for all her life, though despite living in poverty with lacklustre living conditions Aiya has easily gotten used to it and does not complain about her misfortune. Instead she chose escapism to cope with her life and, while brief, it managed to keep her spirits up and pass the time. Due to her family’s lack of money Aiya instead made do with whatever she could find that had been tossed out, usually finding board games or old role playing books that she’s spent most days reading or playing, even if some of the pieces or pages were missing. Eventually however she discovered the game of Duel Monsters and it instantly caught her fascination, unable to afford a proper deck Aiya found herself a part time job at the card store she first discovered, saving her money until she had enough to build her own deck.
Shortly after assembling her deck her Avatar, Spell Girl Luna, appeared to Aiya. At first Aiya was terrified and confused, she was aware of the monsters and powers other people had and had spent most of her life making every effort to afford them. Aiya attempted to ignore Luna but she insisted that the two were now bonded together and that if Aiya wanted any chance of surviving in this world she needed to hone her own powers. Reluctantly Aiya agreed to accept Luna’s help but was still apprehensive of her. Shortly after Luna began teaching Aiya however her father went missing out of nowhere, Aiya and her mother searched all over the baseline for him but were unable to find him, all their were able to find were a few clues and eye witnesses that told them he had apparently attempted to make his way to the upper levels, trying to get to Babylon. Aiya’s mother went into hysterics and shut herself inside, refusing to come out. Aiya herself was intending to just try and forget about the event and move on but Luna coaxed her to try and go after her father, telling her it would be a perfect way to develop her powers and grow stronger. In spite of Aiya’s arguments, saying she never wanted the powers in the first place and that it would just make her mother feel even worse having lost both her husband and her daughter Aiya gave in. Regretting her decision Aiya began making her plans to travel up to Babylon.

Powers and Abilities: Aiya’s powers manifest themselves in the form of spell circles which she can use for various things; her most common use for them is as a shield which can defend herself from harm, however they are not impregnable and enough force can shatter the barrier which will cause Aiya significant pain. She can also fire mild energy blasts which don’t have much more impact than a standard punch. Her final use is healing, by creating a circle on the ground Aiya casts an aura that heals anybody within the circle, this drains Aiya of energy and can tire her out quickly, the more severe the injuries or the more people inside the more energy it takes.

Deck: Magical Synchro Spell Girls
Deck Description: Aiya uses a deck focused around an archetype of Spellcaster-Type monsters called Spell Girls, the deck revolves around the strategy of discarding Spell Cards to activate her monster’s effects which in turn activate more powerful effects from the discarded Spell Cards.

Avatar: Spell Girl Luna
luna_card_by_totalobelisk-d6xck5z.jpg

Avatar Personality: Fittingly Luna has a dark and gloomy personality; she hardly ever shows any feelings aside from contempt, annoyance and occasionally bemusement. She tends to talk down to people and is not very tactful when engaging in conversations; conversely she will become extremely irritated if someone starts talking down to her. She prefers to keep encounters brief and will thus keep her replies and conversations short and will often be quite rude to anyone she’s talking to. She has little patience for other people and will become easily irritated if someone is taking too long about anything. Despite being part of a set of cards based around Magical Girls Luna dislikes being referred to in such a way, sees it as degrading and stereotyping. Luna has little social skills and can come across as short tempered and bossy when trying to help Aiya or explain anything to her, not helped by Aiya’s refusal to listen to her.

Avatar Abilities: Luna’s abilities are almost identical to Aiya’s, only where Aiyra’s circles and spells take the form of a bright light Luna’s are shadows. The only real difference in their abilities is that instead of healing Luna has the power to cast a dark shroud over an area, either dimming lights or creating perfect pitch darkness, the darker she makes it or the larger the area the more energy it takes, large areas can wear her out quickly.

Difference in the picture is that his clothes look a bit ragged, mainly his jacket.
Hiro is a quiet young man, whether he's on the job or out doing anything else. In one sense, with most of his actions, Hiro hates not being able to please people, forcing him to adopt a passive-aggressive nature. Its because of this nature of his, people think that they can walk all over him at certain points in his life. While working at "Goblin Squad's Cards", Hiro has slowly begun to find a way to kick this nature to the curb, but it is still a learning process. Though at the card shop, he loves to help the younger generation partake in Duel Monsters, trying to show them tricks and teach them moves they can use against their friends.

In a battle or in a duel, Hiro gets a bit serious, trying to make sure every move he takes is a good one and will definitely count in the long run. He's also very willing to lend a hand if absolutely necessary, in regards to a duel or in a battle. Hiro tries not to let anything distract him in these situations, so he can concentrate on the matter at hand.
Residence: Baseline

Occupation: Stock-Boy at an on the edge/about to close down card shop - "Goblin Squad's Cards"
The Baseline...a terrible place in most people's mind to bring a child forth into. For Hiro Sendou, that was definitely his mindset his entire life.

When they were just teenagers (16-19), Hiro's parents had him and brought him into the bleak world. From that point on, he watched as his parents did what they could to protect him and each other. His mother was born in the Baseline with the Avatar Injection Fairy Lily to match her ability of healing wounds. Hiro found this out quickly, however, his father's past he never truly knew. In fact there was quiet a bit of time in his life where he never saw his father...but regardless he was told he was on some sort of trip to help the others in the Baseline. All he remembered about his father was the present time: him having the ability of strength along with his Avatar Neos Wiseman. Through time, they kept teaching Hiro while he was young that in the darkest of situations...there was always some light just waiting to be brought out. As Hiro grew up, he continued to believe this...even at the untimely death of his parents.

A duel had broken out with his parents in a tag team duel against two desperate thugs. His father about had the last card he needed to bring out his ace monster and Avatar: Neos Wiseman to end the duel...but he never got the chance. From Hiro's hiding place, he watched as the two losing thugs, point blank killed his parents. Everything they had was taken...except for one main thing that his father hid away for Hiro. Under his duel disk, was his Neos Wiseman cards...his ace monster. The dying words of his father...was to survive...find a way to unearth that light that darkened this situation. With this...Hiro took the cards and ran off...

Years later, Hiro had accumulated all the cards he needed to fix his deck up perfectly. That's when he met up with his own Avatar: Elemental HERO Neos Alius. The two began to make a name for themselves, not only to be duelist said to have his father's monster that was extremely rare laying dormant in his deck...but to have an incredible ability of the mastery of his own body. Through all this, he found the person responsible for his parents death...and dueled him. He never once summoned Wiseman, fearing the same fate his father suffered. Though it was his own Avatar...that finished him off.

Bringing the story to now, Hiro and Alius do what they can to survive, working at an on the edge/about to close down card shop.
Powers and Abilities: Mastery of One's Own Body - Unlike many others that reside in the Baseline, Hiro's brain has a perfect control over his overall motor functions. Thanks to this, there is no feet of athleticism that would be impossible for him, and his reflexes would be near instantaneous.

Deck: Tale of a Wiseman
Deck Description: Brings Neos Wiseman forth, by making use of Alius' effect combined with Yubel
Avatar Personality:

Unlike Hiro, Alius is the exact opposite of his duelist. While Hiro is quiet, Alius is loud and sometimes obnoxious and thinks he's big and bad, since he's the basic son of Elemental HERO Neos. However, thanks to this different in personalities and the fact that they clash, this has caused Alius to only receive a fraction of his duelist's power. Even though this has come about, Alius is always there for his duelist, being there when he needs a laugh or a helping hand.

Avatar Abilities: Alius also shares the exact power that his duelist, Hiro, has. However, Alius holds a small fraction of this power, not being at the same level as Hiro, but a few levels below.
Character:

Username: Usami Renko

Name: Lucia Felica

Age: 24

Gender: Female

Appearance: She’s quite tall, standing around 188 cm. Her hair is short and completely black; sometimes people even said that her hair looked like it’s actually a void in space due to how dark it is. Her pupil is also completely black, not dark brown, but deep black.

Most of the time, she wears a purple tunic and a long, frilly dark blue skirt. She also often wears a black bulletproof vest over her tunic.

Personality:People who just introduced to her might find her to be a creepy and unpleasant person, due to a lot of reasons. But as soon as they actually talk to her, Lucia is quite the nice person, and overall, a very pleasant person. She is quite interested in interacting with others, and conversations with her can last for hours. She’s also liked by everyone due to her dedication to her job, and her commitment to fulfill her consumer’s order well.

Behind all of it though, Lucia is hiding an insatiable lust to torture human being. She usually suppressed it by unleashing her desire to one of her dolls, and it worked quite well for now. She’s really afraid about the possibility of this side of her to be known to the public, and she’s afraid that her good image in the society will be tarnished and broken, especially since she had put a great effort to create the image.

Residence: Baseline

Occupation: Doll maker. Often held puppet shows in places.

Biography:

She was the descendant of a family of doll makers, so her talent is flowing in her blood. They originated from somewhere in Europe, and migrated to New York 2 centuries ago.

Or that’s the info that she fed others with. Her true origin was a mystery, even to herself. She just seemed to appear mysteriously in the Baseline one day. At first, she struggled hard to make a living, trying one job after another, even some jobs that she thought to be gross at first. But that’s still not quite enough to afford her a room somewhere, so she decided to live near the dumps.

There, she found a knack for dolls, and repaired some that was tossed there, and made it better. She also often played with her dolls, and created her own stories to be enacted by the dolls. After a while, someone noticed her (in accident), and asked her to move into his place, so he could get some use of Lucia’s talents. Lucia almost immediately took the offer.

Lucia’s dolls and the shows proved to be successful, and both her and the man’s finance was greatly improved due to the success. Day after day of her living in the man's place, and Lucia was getting more and more attracted to him, and vice versa. They then decided to marry, and they thought that their life would be a sweet journey until the very end.

But one day, after holding a show, Lucia went home only to find her partner was killed in a gruesome way, and in the wall, someone wrote a message with her partner's blood, saying that he owed whoever wrote the message by a lot, and he was murdered because of his refusal to pay the debt. Oddly, she managed to keep her composure after seeing the carnage, but deep inside, she was determined to avenge the murder. WIth the resolution, both her power and her Avatar "awakened" (she actually had those from the beginning, but she just realized it at that moment). But something else was awakened from her deepest subconscious, a powerful desire to inflict hurt and pain to a human being.

Using her connections to gain important informations, she hunted down the murderer, and traced his origin to a quite renowned gang in the neighborhood. One night, with a kitchen knife in her hand, she faced them in an alley, far from the busy places of the city.

The next morning, police found around twenty or so mutilated human bodies in the alley and a barely surviving man that apparently had lost his mind, continuously blabbering nonsense. No traces of Lucia’s involvement could be made, and that’s implying the idea that Lucia could be the mass murderer could come across the police’s mind.

Several days after the massacre, she received a pile of cards from the quite popular game of Duel Monsters from an unknown person. At first, she didn’t pay any attention to it and thought that they're quite the annoying distraction for her, but in the end, she decided to learn some about the game, and played it with the gift deck. The fact that the deck contains a card exactly similar to her Avatar was quite unsettling, though.

Powers and Abilities: Her ability is best described as “projection”. She can use it to project something like something from her imagination, images, or something similar to that into a 3-D holographic model. The “holograms” are not tangible, and cannot affect anything physically. After the holograms are projected, Lucia can control them and speak through them like a puppet.

Deck: Massacre Phantom
Deck Description: Sadistic choices (do this and you’re doomed, not do anything and you’re still doomed), tactical swarming, and lockdown. The deck is designed to mentally torture the opponent by giving sadistic choices, and imprints a sense of helplessness to the opponent as the deck locked many of their options. Though, the deck is quite hard to use since all effects are mandatory. That makes Lucia often do misplays when using the deck, and sometimes the mistakes are fatal, just like a serial killer's mistake that led them to be caught.

Avatar Personality: The Avatar possessed no visible emotions or personality, acting just like a puppet for Lucia to control. But there has been several times that the avatar just spaced out, and gave a blank stare to nowhere.

The avatar is actually also embodied Lucia's sense of failure and guilt, despite all of her successes. It has a strong sense of fatalism, and believed that the fate of all its actions are failures, so it willingly gave full control of it to Lucia. She pretty much unaware of this fact, and continued to use it as a yet another doll for her to control.

Avatar Abilities: It has the ability to create several illusory copies of objects. All of them have the same properties as Lucia’s projections.

[spoiler: Kristoff "Kris" Arendale]

Character:

Username: Vigilante

Name: Kristoff(Kris) Arendale

Age: Somewhere around 17 or 18, but nothing is known for sure

Gender: Male
2873trb.png

Kris looks a bit older than this, having a bit of stubble as well as a bit more muscle mass. That being said, he is by no means 'muscly', but rather a lean, lithe figure. He is of below average height, standing at about 5'6". He's put together his little 'suit of armor' from scraps that he finds laying around the Baseline. Most of the time, he wears a black leather jacket with an image of Red Eyes B. Dragon on the back, as well.

Kris is a goodnatured kid. He isn't particularly mean or rude and tries not to make too many enemies. Kris has a strong sense of family, and by family I mean commitment to his gang. Never knowing a true home, the streets and his fellow gang members are the only thing he can call home. If anyone messes with his family, Kris goes off on them, acting out of a sense of duty and not so much rage.

One would expect Kris to resent being impoverished and have a deep seated hate for the wealthy, but that isn't the case. He has accepted his lot in life and is more than happy with it. He doesn't have any hard feelings for the higher ups or those that were born into a good life. In addition, Kris has no seated feelings regarding race, gender, or sexuality.
Residence: Baseline

Occupation: [acronym='With the Tower of Babel always a point of interest for the public, Kris makes some money showing(and protecting) daring tourists. He will even show them the interior of the tower, but refuses to take them into Midgard.']Tour Guide[/acronym]
Kris is just a kid that is trying to make it in a hard world. He grew up on the streets. He has the vaguest memories of a family life, but aside from those fleeting glimpses of his past, he has only known the Baseline. He isn't 100% sure how he got there, but he assumed that his parents either died or abandoned him. Either way, he figured it wasn't worth looking for them. So instead he learned how to survive on his own. Now of course, a child at the age of no more than 5 or 6 wouldn't last very long on the streets alone, and luckily Kris wasn't alone. Found by a member of a local gang, known as the Crimson Fireballs, Kris was taken in and cared for.

Now the Crimson Fireballs weren't a rich or high up gang and survived on the scraps left by everyone else, but they did have a reputation...but not the reputation that was normally associated with gangs along the Baseline. Instead of vying for power or fighting to reach Babylon, the Crimson Fireballs were known to be a family. They watched out for each other and left everyone else alone, so long as no one in their family was messed with. It is from this dynamic that Kris has such an intense loyalty towards his family.

At the age of 15, Kris's dueling abilities really started to improve. Of course, growing up in the Baseline, he had seen the powers and Avatars of his friends and family manifest, but he had never been lucky enough to know such power. His only hope was to hone his dueling skills, by practicing with his fellow Fireballs, and to let nature do the rest. Finally, during a particularly intense battle, one of Kris's monsters turned to him and spoke.

Now awakened with his powers and protected by his Avatar, Kris tries to help provide for his gang by offering tours around the Baseline and even into the tower. Of course, he is ever vigilant in case of stray monsters or rival gang members appearing.

Kris is able to create constructs out of light. Now the strength of these constructs are of course dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, Kris's physical stamina, his mental fortitude, his current emotions, and the number constructs he currently has. In addition to being able to craft constructs out of light, he is also able to shoot low powered beams of light from his hands. This could simply mean his hands becoming built in flash lights OR portable lasers.
Deck: Lightsworns
Deck Description: Kris's deck relies heavily on getting Lightsworns in his graveyard to either bring out his ace card of Judgement Dragon or one of his Lightray cards.
Jain is a fearless warrior, charging into battles with only the idea of victory on his mind. He has no regard for his own being, and will only ever retreat from a battle on command from Kris, or in order to save another. Jain, while reckless, is incredibly caring for the well being of others. While mostly the silent type, Jain does occasionally offer bits of wisdom and advice when needed. In addition, he is a great listener and is able to convey a wide range of emotions simply by the look on his face. Jain and Kris have a good relationship and neither is very far from the other. They enjoy each other's company and have a feeling of trust that can only be obtained when you have fought back to back with someone.

During battle, Jain tends to make use of his excellent sword skills to combat opponents. With the added defensive structure of his shield, Jain is usually able to out maneuver almost any opponent by switching between an offensive and defensive playstyle. In times of desperate need, Jain will make use of his light-attribute abilities, but tries to refrain from revealing his ace card too soon.

Jain is able to create bursts of light energy from his sword. This can range from a stabbing beam or a slashing arc, depending on how Jain wields it. The power of these bursts of energy rely on Jain's own physical stamina, emotions, etc. and thus have a great range of intensity. In addition to being able to shoot bursts of energy, Jain is able to create defensive constructs, like walls or shields, much like Kris is able to. These constructs are usually channeled through his shield, but he can also summon them with just his hands. Note, that he is only able to create defensive structures, while Kris can make just about anything.
Username: Phantom Roxas
Name: Alice Malory
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Anime_girl.jpg
Personality: Given that Alice is homeless, she is desperate for any kind of success, as long as it means that she could earn a decent living. As such, her primary goal is to establish a comfortable life in the Baseline, with no desire to reach Babylon. She will take any opportunity to accomplish her goals, as long as it is legal. If nothing else, Alice wants to live honestly, and would like to be remembered for helping people. When meeting new people, Alice is friendly as possible, although Alice does tend to wish that the people would offer her place to stay, though she never lets this be known.

Alice is often conflicted about her feelings. She feels that she comes across as entitled by expecting to be taken in for helping people, and though she isn't completely terrified of the monsters, she fears that people would come to see her as one of the monsters. This is especially difficult when she is presented with choices, particularly with her visions, as she could second-guess herself, rushing into what she simply thinks would be the best thing, which more often than not isn't the best. For this reason, she is heavily dependent on her Avatar, Psychelone.
Residence: Baseline
Occupation: Works the register at the local WcDonald's.
The earliest memory that Alice has is the day her parents were taken from her by monsters. Though she was home when the monsters attacked, Alice had mysteriously been transported from the area, arriving on the other side of the world in a place known only as Satellite. Lost in these slums, Alice was taken into an orphanage, where she learned that she had somehow managed to travel through time, arriving in the year 2047. How this was possible, Alice had no idea, and no one else seemed to understand her problem either.

While in the orphanage, Alice came to learn the game known as Duel Monsters, but through this, it was revealed that she had psychic abilities that would allow her monsters to come to life. Though the orphanage allowed her to stay in spite of this horrifying ability, they forbid her from revealing her powers. However, soon there came a day when a young man, a boy known as Naoya Okudaira visited the orphanage, seeking those who held the very powers that Alice possessed. Intrigued by the prospect of others having powers like her, Alice dreamt of the chance to be taken in by Naoya's group, the Arcadia Movement, and eventually, she got her wish.

For years, Alice lived happily with the Arcadia Movement in Neo Domino City, but as Alice has learned over the course of her life, it only takes one day to turn your life upside-down. While going through an afternoon stroll, she happened upon an accident, where a man had been crushed under a bus. Terrified by the scene, Alice desperately called forth one of her monsters, Elemental HERO Absolute Zero, and though the Duel Monster had managed to lift the bus up, people turned against her, afraid of "psionics" such as her. The Public Security Maintenance Bureau took her into custody, considering her a potential threat, but Naoya went to the station, dealing with the Bureau and managing to convince them to let Alice go.

Although Alice was free, Naoya reprimanded her for recklessly using her powers, as ordinary people were still not ready to accept psionics. Alice defended herself by saying that she was doing the right thing, but Naoya kept telling her that no matter what good she would do, humans would never appreciate it. That statement made Alice question if she was even worthy of being called a human. Not only had the public called her a monster, but even Naoya, a man she had idolized, was claiming that psionics are more than humans, an idea that Alice found unsettling.

It was that night where the real change began, though. A man named Solasiro Antologia came alone to the Arcadia Movement, attacking the various members, until he was approached by Naoya. Alice followed the commotion to the top floor, where Naoya and Solasiro had begun a duel. Solasiro had said he was what is known as a Dark Signer, and that he came to eliminate the Arcadia Movement, saying that they were "unnecessary". Although Naoya fought valiantly, Solasiro claimed victory by summoning a powerful monster, the Earthbound Immortal Ccoshobar. Naoya not only lost the duel against Solasiro, but was devoured by Ccoshobar. Solasiro asked if Alice was willing to avenge Naoya, but Alice said nothing. She was afraid of this man who had single-handedly managed to take down the Arcadia Movement, even killing the man who had only just begun to make her realize what her place in the world was.

That was when it happened again. Alice could see herself fading, the world around her changing. Even Solasiro was confused by what this could mean, until at last, Alice was no longer standing in the Arcadia Movement. Now, she was in the run-down city none as Detroit. Once again, she was alone, with nothing but the clothes on her back and her Duel Monsters cards, but there was no orphanage that would take her in, no movement that would help her come into her own. Worse still, she quickly discovered that she was sent even further into the future, and she was now in the year 2213.

She wandered around hopelessly, with people too busy to help her, but she couldn't bring herself to thievery. When she was on the brink of starvation, her powers suddenly began to change. One of her cards, Gishki Psychelone, had come to life. It seemed that even her psychic powers were not the cause of this. With the aid of Psychelone, Alice had begun to see visions. Everything that she could and would do within the next five minutes flashed within her mind in mere seconds. Psychelone took care of Alice, saying from then on, she would be Alice's "mother". To prove this, Psychelone broke into a nearby market, taking food for Alice. Alice was hesitant to eat stolen food, but as she hadn't eaten in days, she reluctantly took the food. However, she told Psychelone that she would only allow something like just once, as Alice wished to earn an honesty living. Alice desperately looked around for places that would hire her, but the best she could manage was getting a job a part-time job at WcDonald's. For now, the only place Alice has to call home is a sleeping bag.
Powers and Abilities: Though Alice has the ability to warp through time, this has only happened twice in her life, and both instances occurred a dozen years apart, so it is unlikely that she will be able to use this any time seen, not that she could fully control it anyway. However, with the help of her avatar, Psychelone, she has been able to derive the ability to look into the future, but only what will happen in the next five minutes. With it, she is able to see all possibilities of what could happen, allowing her to choose the ideal path. In duels and fights, this would also allow her to foresee what her opponent will do, allowing her the ability to prepare to counter it. Additionally, as a psionic, her cards come to life when she plays them, making them able to physically harm people.
Deck: Gishki
Deck Description: Controlling the field and the opponent's hand.

Avatar
Avatar: Gishki Psychelone
Avatar Personality: Psychelone is cunning and devious, but maintains a motherly disposition towards Alice. She would do anything for her "daughter", but it's clear that she desires more than just giving Alice the happy life she desires. Psychelone wants to see the top of Babylon, something that Alice heavily disagrees with her on.
Avatar Abilities: Whereas Alice can see the future, Psychelone's speciality is in the past, allowing her to manipulate people's perceptions so that they are five minutes behind everyone else.
I'd be interested to play but the idea of super powers seems a bit open to me. I like that you're giving us creativity to decide but what is something we'd likely face with NPC's and even other players.

In typical Yugioh fashion monster are real...however cards you summon aren't real therefore you should have some method of defending yourself.

So let me make sure before I app that  I'm not being stupid. My character would have their own set of powers, assuming I'm at the beltline it'd be relatively mundane and my avatar who hows identical powers would be a lvl/rank of 4 and as I climb the tower and get into midgard+ my powers would advance off the previously mentioned power or do I get new ones, in addition my avatar would metaphorically lvl/rank up and become a stronger form gaining identical powers?

Question on Avatars...

Do they HAVE to basically evolve the further you advance?

No, not if you don't want them too. Once you make it through the Beltline...you'll get a choice (basically its like pressing the B button) and you could keep the same avatar till the end if you like. Your power will still grow however.

You powers would advances:

For Example: You and Brotherhood of the Fire Fist Bear are a team. You both firebend. Once you get past the beltline you can EXPAND on the concept of fire. You nor Bear start mysteriously becoming earthbenders as well.

Ahhhhhh! Thanks for clearing that up! ^^

no problem

Ok so how's this look for my character app.

Username: Deprivedfish

Name: Ivy

Age: 22

Gender: Female

Appearance: tbzw.jpg
"Even the most delicate rose still has thorns..."

Personality: There's a vast sum of words that can describe Ivy. She's a very strong and independent woman following the ideal that even beautiful things can be deadly. Her deck reflects this. She knows she's a beautiful woman and often misleads people into thinking she's some frail creature and manipulating them to get what she wants. She prides herself on her beauty and power. Ivy believes herself to be one of the most power duelist in existence and that she will reach Babylon before anyone else.  She often belittles her opponents and is a bit of a sadist when it comes to battle.

Residence: Beltline

Occupation: Botanist

Biography: Ivy was born and raised in the Beltline. Like most of the locals she adopted the art of dueling. From a very young age Ivy always seemed to be drawn to plants. She learned through her students of plants that some only appeared frail and delicate but plants were strong enough to cleave through stone and consume whole buildings if left alone. So her Nightpetal Deck reflected that. Stacked with some of the most powerful plant cards in the game.  Ever changing, she became fascinated to a scientific level with the flora of the world. Though being quarantined she could only read and research the various plants of the world. Still in the imperfect world she lived in, beautiful flowers seemed to bring her joy.

At age 8, she discovered her power to make plants grow by simply willing it. Strong healthy gardens bloomed in her presence and upon the awakening of her powers she was met by her Avatar, The Queen of Carnivorous Plants. A noble but villainous spirit, the queen helped Ivy realize her true potential. As the years passed Ivy became a well-known duelist and took up a job as a florist studying to be a botanist. Unfortunately her dream of being a botanist was cut short by the quarantine. So she heard rumors that if she reached Babylon she'd be able to leave the tower and see the rest of the world.

Powers and Abilities: Ivy has power over plants, causing them to grow almost instantly and control the way they grow/move.  I.E. she could take a rose bush sapling and force it to grow into a thicket of bramble.

Deck: Nightpetal

Deck Description: Carnivorous Plant Themed, Plant-Type effect destruction and control themed.

Custom Cards:

Avatar:
 9dvp.jpg

Avatar: Queen of Carnivorous Plants

Baseline: 4

Midgard: 6

Babylon: 8

Avatar Personality: Ivy's avatar has a personality much like hers, belittling people and acting as if she were royalty demanding people 'show her proper respect' which is usually followed with an intimidating threat. She believes plants are superior creatures and will exist long after humans die off. Ironically with their personalities being similar Ivy and her fight with each other often. Often arguing amongst themselves over ideals such as beauty, plant lore, and who is in charge in their duo.

Avatar Abilities: Ivy's avatar has almost identical powers though as she herself is a plant she can use her body as a weapon employing thorns and other various parts of her plant body to combat.

Okay just a couple of things.

1) No one "lives" in the Beltline one only passes through it. You either live on the Base level or Midgard. Oh and no way a baby makes it through the Beltline for X number of years. Her story would be that she was "born" on the Base floor and for some horrific act of parenting her parents raised her in Midgard.

2) The Avatar reflects the status of its partner. Meaning if Ivy made it past the Beltline then the Queen would be a level 5 or 6 creature and her card would reflect that.

3) Is Nightpetal a nickname or are an actual archetype because so far the only custom card shown is the one the Avatar represents and somehow I would need to be informed about all of the customs you intend to use.

4) Any real reason for Ivy not having a last name....

and to answer your other question I have 3 characters in mind for myself. But I would start when I have 5 other characters.

What are the max of characters we can have?

Cause I'm in the process of making a new card set...and its not unfinished as of yet, and I wanna hurry and make a character with something else until they are finished.

2 not counting your characters avatars. If you honestly feel you can handle more then you can make a case for it.

Alright then.

I should have my first one running E-HEROs first (hopefully I'll be able to work with my new set soon and make the second guy ^^)

Well, I was thinking of having my character using Ice Edge as her avatar.

Would it be possible to bring back one of my characters from that Five Dragons roleplay TheFinalFan did a while back? Alice was supposed to have time travel powers there, and I've been looking for an opportunity to bring her back, since I had plans to make her important to some overarching story I've been working on. For the record, she can't control her time travel powers, so she wouldn't be able to use them in the roleplay, and if she did, chances are that it wouldn't be until the very end of this.

On that note, I need to start practicing with a new character I have devised who is from another RP.

No, it is not Foster.

Is that allowable?
If not, I have an idea for a character from here.

While I have no problem with the "time powers" persay (I trust you and can wait for more details) how does that translate into a deck/Avatar? If you can make it work then go for it.

I don't have problems with characters from other RPs if that's what you mean? History and stuff would have to make sense needless to say.

I need to sort out the details, but she was born a psychic, although she was supposed to have a Gishki. I guess I can make it so that she uses a Psychic deck that has a time theme.

So I added the Apps section and one of my characters is already there so yay.

And that is a sample of what an App for a Babylonian would look like. If you have questions about the Power's and abilities section...well yeah that's something all Babylonians get. Derp powers. Make no mistake there are some restrictions in addition to that of the Advanced Clause.

Anyway I look forward to seeing some apps lol

Huh. I just realized that this is the second major Yu-Gi-Oh! we've had set in Detroit.

Oh that's not a coincidence

I wrote most of this stuff in a draft and the forum wouldn't let me save unless I had an intended recipient lol. That ended up being you and instead of a random person. Sooo when picking a location I was like...oh Yeah I could use Detroit lol
