Ibaraki-doji: Night Parade of a Hundred Demons

The Hyakki Yagyo - known as the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons.

Every year, the Nurarihyon, one of the most powerful yokai in Japan, would lead his assortment of yokai soldiers in this Night Parade. It was a beautiful sight to behold, but humans are always wary, for they believe that death would come for them.

Change dawned upon Nurarihyon's faction one fine day when a young yokai child who claimed she was the Ibaraki-doji, the child of the most barbaric yokai in Japan, Shuten-doji, proceeded to join them. She had, despite explicitly stating her background with her supposed father, Nurarihyon let her into his faction.

After Nurarihyon's death, the authority and leadership of Nurarihyon's faction was transferred to Ibaraki-doji. It was now known as the Ibaraki-doji faction. The problem was - due to her background, unpredictable behavior, mild immaturity and stereotypical oni habit of drinking excessive sake, the trust between her and her yokai army is... not very much, save a handful of soldiers.

Now, new threats are appearing throughout Japan, and not even the onmyoji, ninjas, samurai or whatever of the country can stop them all. This means that the Ibaraki-doji faction has to step in and stop the mayhem that arises.

Of course, due to the low trust between Ibaraki-doji and her minions, this will be a very difficult task. Let us just hope the new recruits don't add fuel to flame.
[spoiler=Arc 0 - And So There Were None] Do note that the title is bery ironic, and that this is when new yokai recruits are being recruited to join the Ibaraki-doji faction, or the Ibaraki faction. Let us just hope that these new recruits integrate well with our feisty leader and wide variety or underlings. Sad to say, but the party won't last long...[/spoiler] [spoiler=Arc 1 - Foreign Intervention] A gargantuan reptile was reported to have attacked Tokyo. Onmyoji have attempted to exorcise the beast, but it appears immune to Eastern exorcism methods. Coincidentally, this beast doesn't appear very Eastern to begin with. After the damage done to the city, Ibaraki-doji chose to send troops to investigate the situation, hopefully identifying the truth behind this.[/spoiler]

[spoiler=Notes and terminology about this world]
Ibaraki faction, also known as the Ibaraki Clan or the Night Parade, is the primary faction featured in this RP. It was formerly known as Nurarihyon's faction. Led by Ibaraki-doji, consisting of only yokai. The current motives of the Ibaraki faction is to rid of the bad name of yokai and bridge the gap of yokai and humans. Their headquarters is located in the Yokai Village, located in a mysterious, forbidden cherry blossom forest in Kyoto.

The Official Onmyoji Association is where the onmyoji are under and trained. These onmyoji are the only ones who can exorcise yokai via their Shikigami, which are usually non-sentient, and summoned from paper. It is stated that only an onmyoji can be unharmed from a passing Night Parade. They play a minor role at first, but will have a major role in later Arcs. The leader is an NPC. The headquarters is located in Tokyo.

The Tsukumogami Clan are, as their name suggests, Tsukumogami which were abandoned by what they refer to as 'meatbags' during their inanimate object days. Today, they seek revenge on not just those who have thrashed them, but every single living, breathing, flesh-based being on what they might call 'this putrid planet'. Their main rival is the Ibaraki faction, who stands in their way, although they might be willing to form a temporary truce if the foe is a 'meatbag'.

This RP occurs in a not-too-distant future - 2018. Practically everything is the same as today, save onmyoji being well-known and yokai being known and antagonised.

Yokai factions have one leader, two to four generals and everyone else are warriors.

Onmyoji are classed into the Head Onmyoji, several High Onmyoji in various areas and everyone else is just... Onmyoji.

Samurai and ninjas exist like they do in real life. Rare. Very rare. Since they don't exactly have supahpowahs I won't limit them. Of course, try not to command large armies of them, just a handful.

Onmyoji are well-known in Japan and China. The same cannot be said with wizards in Europe and related spellcasters, but they do exist.

Since onmyoji are well-known and credited, yokai are indiscriminantly seen as scum, of if they aren't that bad, annoying troublemakers.

Western demons exist. However, onmyoji cannot pick up any demonic presence from non-Eastern demons. They do exist in Japan, but only in very small numbers.

There will be mythology in this RP. I probably won't be very faithful to it.

Petite and exceedingly cute, her appearance is very deceptive as she is in fact many hundreds of years old. As a Kitsune, it is not possible to remove her ears or tails, but she is able to disguise them with magic. Her animal form is a small, sleek-looking young fox whose coat has taken a white-gold hue over the ages. She possesses 7 tails as the sign of her seniority.[/spoiler]

[spoiler=Personality]On first impressions, Kazumi is a slightly shy serene but very sweet girl who may complain a little too much. She is rather soft-spoken, but can be quite harsh even with her light voice as she can fill her tone with incredible amounts of venom. Quite regularly, Kazumi looks down upon others, especially those who are crude or inelegant, however, she herself can get excited quite easily. Her temper does not manifest on her expression, but rather on her actions and she is great in her expectations and severe in her punishments.

Despite revelling in her cute and moe appearance, Kazumi hates it when people look down upon her or mistake her for anything but the exalted leader of the Tails of Seven Clan. She is full of contradictions and double-standards due to abiding solely to the whims of the moment and is easily swayed by flattery or kindness. With a royal background, extraordinary powers and loyal servants that dote on her, Kazumi is very arrogant and insensitive to the feelings of others, believing it to be only natural that others serve her or do nice things for her and thinking that no one really is on her level.

A sheltered girl, Kazumi cannot bear see horror or suffering, unless it is somehow caused by her upon those she is displeased with, and simply has to bring it upon herself to help. She shows great sympathy and compassion to those in need, doing her best to shower them with kindness and using her power for their benefit. Many helped by her join her clan if they had nowhere else to go as is often the case.

Kazumi is extremely naive in terms of adult things even though she hails from a race known for being seductresses and even though she is many hundreds of years old. She knows what happens between lovers, but becomes extremely flustered at any mention of dirty or suggestive things.

For the past years, Kazumi has become a die-hard anime fan, collecting all sorts of figurines and memorabilia, often sending her subordinates out to find rare collector's items. She loves all sorts of cute things and greatly despises horror genres.[/spoiler]

[spoiler=History]As the direct daughter of the Lady, the ten-tailed mother of all Kitsune, Kazumi wielded great influence and prestige amongst kitsune and lived in the fabled illusory domain of the Lady until 200 years ago when the Lady disappeared and Kazumi was accused of murder despite a massive lack of evidence. Truthfully, her arrogant and brash personality earned her few friends in Kitsune society and court and her power and standing earned her only fear, thus the Lady's disappearance was a perfect excuse to get rid of her. She was to be executed.

Kazumi managed to escape but faced many, many years of hardship as she was hunted. Wandering the world for many years, she had many adventures and mishaps, journeyed with various people and saw many things around Japan, driven by an insatiable curiosity and thirst for adventure in addition to her survival instinct to throw off pursuers. Truthfully, she had never really gone outside of the yokai world and there was much to see amongst the humans.
 
As a being of immense power, people were naturally drawn to her and, using her perception warping powers as a kitsune, she brought false happiness, but happiness nonetheless, to many, many people, using her powers in what she perceived to be a good way unlike most kitsune who use their powers for mischief.
 
She became involved in the yakuza when a drug cartel contacted her, believing that she had created some sort of drug. When she refused to reveal her secret, they became aggressive and attempted to attack her, however, they did not stand much of a chance against a centuries-old yokai. The yakuza did not relent on pursuing her and she became drawn into the human's own underworld, eventually forming her own clan made up of outcasts, be it from the yakuza or just society.
 
They became the Tails of Seven Clan and the yakuza, with the higher ups realizing her true youkai nature and that they were a dangerous enemy to have as well as not worth the resources, decided to tolerate their existence and even collaborating with them or asking them to perform various tasks.[/spoiler]

Appearance: Ibaraki-doji's sealed state is that of a little girl, 1.36 metres tall. In this state, her figure is slender and absolutely flat and curveless. Her hair is topped with a night black hime-cut with horns protruding upwards from her head. Her eyes are as cold and red as the blood of her former victims. Her mouth has a cute little fang protruding from it. She often wears a red-hued furisode with a green ribbon and a shorter skirt area for mobility, as well as traditional wooden sandals. She has an oni mask attached to the side of her head.

In her true, primal form, she looks more like a he. Ibaraki-doji is now very masculine and muscular in appearance. Her horns are now thicker and her whole body is now red. Some sort of black briefs veil his/her loins. She is now about 4 metres tall, and her hands now have four fingers. Her face is a typical oni face with shaggy white hair, along with sharper, tougher fangs on her lower jaw.

[spoiler=Personality:]Ibaraki-doji isn't that much of your stereotypical oni, save drinking quite a lot of sake. On the contrary, over the years, she has evolved into a sweet little girl with actual emotions. She is a little mischievious, and simply cannot help it but play harmless pranks on people. She respects her comrade's decisions, even if she doesn't agree with them, and if she doesn't, she talks them out of it. She has charisma, it is just quite mediocre. Her behaviour is rather unpredictable, so you shouldn't really expect a 'relaxing break' if she suggests a beach visit for the whole clan. Her wacky personality also applies to her life when she blends in as a human, which is probably why she doesn't have a boyfriend yet. She is capable of crying, she just doesn't show it that often.

Ibaraki-doji is really sweet to both humans and yokai alike. She tends to call anyone who appears older than her 'Onii-chan' or 'Onee-chan', and does so in a taunting way when it is her foes. She flirts with who she might believe is her 'special someone'. She also has a flat chest complex, and if you go too far, she actually cries.

In her primal form, Ibaraki-doji is violent, brutal, feral and attacks anything on sight. Literally everything this beast sees is red. The gargantuan Berserker does not discriminate friend or foe, and just attacks everything on sight.

[spoiler=History:]One day, Shuten-doji wandered upon a basket containing an oni child. The child had 'Ibaraki' written on its clothes, which was when Shuten-doji adopted her as his own, and raised her well. Ibaraki-doji grew into a little tyrant alongside the greater tyrant Shuten-doji.

One day, during one of their raids, most of Shuten-doji's oni army was exterminated, Shuten-doji included. His last words were for Ibaraki-doji to continue his legacy as a great warlord. Ibaraki-doji escaped extermination, never to be seen again. The story where she lost her arm did occur, but that's another story.

Eventually, Ibaraki-doji felt guilty for her actions. To make up for it, she went up to one of Shuten-doji's old foes, the Nurarihyon, and chose to seek guidance from him. She began changing from a fiend to a samaritan, but her bad habits hardly changed.

When Nurarihyon kicked the bucket, Ibaraki-doji was chosen to be leader, not just so that she can prove to her subjects that even the most tyrannical beings can turn over a new leaf, but Nurarihyon also knew that the young maiden's newly found heart of gold might be the key for unity of yokai and humans.

So here she is. Leader of Ibaraki Faction. The very notsotrustworthy leader.[/spoiler]

Weaponry and Noteworthy Possessions: She has twin blades which are two tonnes each. Her father had given her what she calls 'The legacy of Shuten-doji', which is a medallion representing the crest of the late Shuten-doji's faction. When questioned about this 'thing of evil' by her allies, she says, "I wouldn't be here today if it weren't for him".
[spoiler=Powers and Abilities:] Like all oni, her sense of smell, hearing and sight exceeds that of humans.

In her base form, Ibaraki-doji is capable of vast strength of up to ten tonnes. In her uncontrollable, berserk primal form, she can handle ten times of that.

She is capable of some sort of chlorokinetic magic that allows her to summon thorny vines and trees. She can also spit seeds. From these seeds, thorny vines can emerge and entangle whatever they are touching. Using this power to a full extent, she can create a Reality Marble she calls 'Ibaraki', where the surroundings are filled with thorny trees with thorny vines, although such a trick can only be used when she has mastered her primal state and tamed it. She is unhurt by these thorns.

Ibaraki-doji can, like depicted in myths, levitate. She usually does this in a childish manner to look as if she has really good jumping skills and wall-crawling abilities. She cannot hover when she is sad.

Her primal state has enhanced defenses, and is quite bulletproof and can easily overpower most low-rank onmyoji. However, this state, as stated earlier, is too feral to control and goes Berserk. This form, however, can be accessed on will, but only at the last resort, or unwillingly when she loses a limb.

When she loses a limb, she goes Berserk until she gets it back and attaches it to herself once more.

She also has a unique set of skills known as 'Ayakashi', which was initially passed on to her from Nurarihyon. The more her subjects trust and believe in her, the more powerful 'Ayakashi' is. She cannot pull these skills off very well for now, save the first.

Ayakashi: Hyakki Yagyo - The user's charisma is doubled, so that the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons can commence.

Ayakashi: Authority - The user can trap the foe in an illusion, and when mastered, can cause the bravest of yokai to be traumatized for life.

Ayakashi: Death Blow - This technique can paralyse and make foes vulnerable to attacks for a number of turns.

Appearance: From the top of her scalp to the tip of her tail, Michiko's body is 9' 2", or 2.8 meters, long, but she adjusts how tall she appears based on the height of the person she's talking to. Regardless, Michiko still weighs in at 130lbs, or 59kg. Her upper canine fangs are thrice as long as those of any human, and all her teeth are encased in emerald. She also has an emerald in each palm of her hand, and a large one on her back. Interestingly, the only thing holding Michiko's breastplate in place is the magnetic field she generates around her, and it falls off the minute that field is shut down. The emerald that sticks out of Michiko's chest is actually a piece of her heart.

 

Michiko can also take the form of a pure emerald, but she only does so whilst she's sleeping. If she were to suddenly awaken, her true form will appear in its full from out of nowhere with a poof of smoke, catching anyone who happens to be handling her at the time off guard.

Personality: Unlike the other tsukumogami of her clan, who tend to lash out at humans or other yokai through verbal means or otherwise, Michiko has her own method of teaching these "meatbags" a lesson for chucking her away as an inanimate object. More specifically, she tends to target an individual, male or female, and seduce that individual with her alluring charm... only to lead the individual spiraling towards humiliation. While she has a target wrapped around her finger, Michiko can become a rather sweet, kind, and even endearing being on the surface, whereas in reality, she is nothing more than a cold manipulator.

Weaponry and Noteworthy Possessions: Unless you count her claws as weapons, Michiko is relatively unarmed. However, she can acquire weapons through her magnetic power, as long as a single part of them are actually made of steel. Katanas are her favorite weapons to flog with this power, but she can also use spears, mauls, axes and whatever else she can get her seductive lil' claws on. As for possessions, Michiko has a heart-shaped gold-bordered amulet made of emerald, attached to a golden chain which dangles from her tail, as well as several emeralds on her body. These emeralds could potentially sell for thousands, even tens of thousands of gold coins. Unfortunately, it's impossible to pry them from Michiko's body, and trying to do so only serves to piss her off.
[spoiler=Powers and Abilities:]Fire Breath: Exactly as it says on the can.

 

Magnetic Attraction: Michiko has a magnetic field around her draws all types of iron or steel objects straight into her breastplate. The most practical use for this ability is so then she can take away the steel weapons of her enemies and use them as her own, but Michiko has other ways to abuse this ability as well... mostly for personal shenanigans. She can increase or decrease the intensity of the magnetic field, or even shut it off completely.

 

Hypnotic Suggestion: The emeralds on Michiko's body radiate a green light one after another, entrancing anyone that she locks eyes with and making them fall in with her. This happens regardless of the victim's gender or sexual preference, but although humans fall under this spell instantly, stronger, high-ranked demons or yokai can resist the effects with ease. Should she be enraged at the time she uses this power, the emeralds on Michiko's body will glow vastly more rapidly, and instead of falling in love, the victim will become nothing more than a stone statue. Michiko must channel this power uninterrupted for a good deal of time before it can work its magic.[/spoiler]

Appearance: in her humanoid state, she is 1.57 metres tall and has a curvacious body with a B-cup. Instead of wearing a traditional Japanese costume, she wears a black-hued skin-tight cheongsam with white flower-like patterns. Her long, white hair is braided, and her right eye is hidden by her hair. Her left eye is a shiny jade green in hue. She wears high heels.

In her yokai form, she is basically an oval, wooden mirror, 3 metres tall and 1.3 metres wide. An odd, red demon eye is seen above the reflective surface of the mirror. The sides of the mirror is embedded with jade. At the back of the mirror, you can see some carved characters, that can be read in Chinese or Japanese.

Personality: Kagami, like the rest of the Tsukumogami Clan, is filled with vengeance and hatred for humans and all things organic, the ones who have thrown her away. She only cares about her fellow Tsukumogami and inanimate objects. She actually believes that inanimate objects have their own emotions and feelings, mainly because they actually do. She often appears before those who are about to abandon their items, ready to suck them into her mirror dimension, which further emphasises her resentment. In reality, she is really lonely, and hopes to find someone who will never leave her. And by that I mean stay in her mirror dimension forever and ever. One cannot deny that she is a little yandere and tends to destroy often.
History: Like all Tsukumogami, Kagami was once an inanimate object, in this case, a mirror from China. Kagami was a mirror used by a bloodline Chinese onmyoji. When she had gained sentience, the family almost exorcised her, believing that she had become cursed. Therefore, she escaped the hands of death, and fled to a nearby land - Japan.
At some point, she lived in a village, where she befriended a boy(?) Tsukumogami who knew little about his past. She loved him dearly, but it was not known if he loved her back. Eventually, he left for a journey and never returned.
She met a clan of beings - The Tsukumogami Clan - who too, have been abandoned by their previous users. She hastily rose up the ranks after slaying many a being and became General of the Tsukumogami Clan - a clan fueled by the hatred synthetic beings ready to rebel against their creators, mankind, for their sins.
Also pancakes are glorious.

[spoiler=Powers and Abilities:] In her human form, she has no noteworthy abilities at all, apart from being skilled in hand-to-hand combat, and her attractiveness.

When she unleashes her true form, she is capable of hovering, and travelling at higher speeds. She launches energy rays from her single eye. When a physical object touches her reflective surface, it enters her mirror dimension, where she imprisons many things and keeps her things. In this mirror dimension, the life force of all organic beings are slowly, passively drained. When an energy or non-matter projectile is used instead, it reflects off. The wooden areas are most vulnerable.

When shattered, she regenerates in a matter of time. [/spoiler]

I really don't know about this, but...

Just don't explicitly state he's a Monferno or Pokemon anywhere in your app or the RP, that is all. Only hint. Hint heavily.

Just don't make dimension leaping too abusable.

So, how 'technically immortal' is he? What are the extent of these capabilities? Even yokai can get tired and all worn out.

He can only jump between universes, and that process takes at least 10 minutes to charge up. He uses a necklace he received to carry out this technique. He can also use said necklace to check to see how much time he has.

And by immortal, I only mean the fact that he can't die, no matter how hard he tries. He can get shot, have his head cut off, hit with a death curse, fall due to lack of food and water, and can exhaust his usual amount of stamina. Can't kill him, but is vulnerable just like everyone else.

So, should I post the character?

Gender: Male

Species: Yokai? Closer to Other. You told me not to be blatant, so...

Appearance: you get a description instead. Standing at around 3 feet tall, the best way to describe him would be a strange orange monkey. His legs are shorter than his arms, with a yellow band around each arm. His fingers and palm are not covered with orange fur, as well as his feet, showing his deep tan skin. There is a strip of red between his anime-esque eyes, and a blue 'M' going around the top and sides of his eyes. White fur surrounds his entire neck like a collar. His chest and underside are the same deep tan color of his skin, with it curling 180 degrees back down. His tail is long, thin, and the end is on fire. He wears a checkered fedora with a yellow strip at the base, and an ornate necklace that reaches down to his chest.

Personality: Navan is a generally quiet and modest character. As young as he is, he's also highly curious about everything, even the littlest and obvious of things. Considering his use of fire, he also has that hot-blooded and mischievous side of him, though it doesn't show often. He has little sense of direction, gets lost easily, and has trouble remembering names and faces. He also has some difficulty lying to others, simply because of where he was raised and lack of experience. However, a large part of him is sad, and scared, about his peculiar situation.

Biography: How can I not be blatant about this? Navan was born to a normal family in a monkey tribe... in another universe. He led a relatively normal childhood, until the universe was simply gone. Erased from existence... except Navan wasn't erased with it. He found himself in another universe, surrounded by unfamiliar figures in an instant. Naturally, with all of those eyes on him, he panicked and ran. He eventually found himself at the home of a powerful wizard and shaman couple. There, he learned of his existence should not be, that it was unnatural, and that just by existing, he endangered the universe he was in of complete deletion, like how his home world came to an end. They couldn't killed him (believe me, they tried everything, with his consent) since he technically didn't exist, and was considered already dead in a sense. So the two crafted a necklace that could bring the wearer to different universes, since that was the only way this problem could be fixed. So he used it's power, and suddenly found himself in Yokai village in the middle of the day. The following exchange took place after a walking turtle wearing red armor walked up to him...

"ALRIGHT, NOW WHO ARE YOU, AND HOW DID YOU GET HERE!?" yelled the kappa, looking down on a now sitting Navan. "ANSWER MY QUESTIONS DAMNIT!"

"Quit yelling!" Navan yelled back, clutching his ears.

"THEN ANSWER ME!" the kappa shouted. "WHO ARE YOU?"

"Navan!" replied the monkey.

"HOW DID YOU GET HERE!?"

"Uhh... I'm not exactly sure..."

"EXPLAIN, DAMNIT!"

"I can't!"

The kappa drew his sword. "THEN DIE!"

"Wait, what?" His head would have been impaled, had it not been for something else stopping him. Navan wasn't entirely sure where that voice came from, but he could have sworn it came from the ground. "Wait," it said. "You know you can't kill off duty..."

"THEN WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO, HUH?" the kappa yelled downward.

"I'll handle this," said the voice from before. "You, monkey, listen... Right now, you have 2 choices at the moment. Either pledge allegiance to the Ibaraki clan and join it's force, or die right here, right now."

Navan blinked, absorbing the information, and begin to think. I just got here... but what else should I do? I can't die... How long do I have? He checked his necklace, understanding his time left in an instant. Even if I said no... they'll probably keep me here indefinitely...

He gave his answer to the voice. The kappa fumed, but sheathed his sword. Navan was beckoned by the voice to follow the kappa to somewhere else, and he was registered into the group on a blood seal stating that Navan shall serve Ibaraki-doji until he died. Now, he finds himself with the other new recruits...

And now for something completely unrelated: Also pancakes are glorious.

Faction: Ibaraki Faction

Rank: Grunt, or whatever is equalivent to that.

Noteworthy possessions: His checkered fedora is the only thing that is left from his home, given to him by his father. It somehow transferred over with him. He also wears the necklace that can travel between the universes. That's pretty much it.

Powers and Abilities: He can scratch with his hands, give a slightly intimidating leer, taunt his foes by using one of the greatest anger inducing techniques known, spit balls of fire, and punch with incredible speed. Granted, he's not that strong... But he can't die no matter what the situation, so that helps.

Other Stuff: His necklace can be used to tell how long he can stay in one universe before it disappears. Also, as a fire and fighting user, he still has his natural weakness to water, psychic, flying, and ground based techniques. He also holds no special resistance to nearly all of the status ailments, nor any resistance to mind reading, curses, etc.

Hmmm... Maybe you need to read the rules of this RP. And maybe the 'notes and other stuff'. Also, in this canon, demons that cannot die easily can be sealed. He does appear to be described as an anomaly, so perhaps you could at least include an actual key to defeat him. Your character's species is based off Sun Wukong, so perhaps you could give him something akin to Sun Wukong's weakness.

We'll, Tsukumogami are any object that have existed for 100 years and gained sentience, so as long as the item was
created/invented before 1918, it is fine.

This means that statues and certain machinery are allowed.

Ueta is a truly vile and odious Yokai, he quite happily takes pleasure in the suffering and misery of fleshy creatures, but unlike his fellow Tsukumogami clansmen he likes humans, he likes human like a dog likes a steak; fresh, raw and juicy. Ueta is easily excited, quick to laughter and has a habit of repeating himself if he is amused; his favourite phrase is "what's this?" and has a rather distinctive laughter "Haruharuharu!". Ueta enjoys the company of animals finding them to be rather simple and relaxing creatures who aren't worth devouring, typically Ueta doesn't get angry usually laughing at everything.

 

Ueta likes to devour especially skilful humans, a hobby of his is stealing and reliving their memories savouring all of their pain and suffering, he prefers not to eat children because he feels they have yet to feel true despair and tends to eat the elderly. He is a clever and proud individual having devoured the knowledge and experience from many different varieties of people, but is rather honest feeling that cheap things such as lies are for the weak and coward, and wouldn't ever stoop to such a low-level.

[Spoiler='History']long ago a young craftsman travelled all over Europe looking for new materials to work with, one day he came across a cave in an old dried up lake, inside he found hundreds of unusual stones which he gathered up and took home, with the help of his wife and youngest daughter he discovered a method to melt the stones and forge them. the craftsman forged the stones into a large statue of a beautiful god and felt content with his life, until one day bandits burned down his home and killing his daughter with the statue being the only thing to survive.
 

in a fit of rage and despair, the craftsman melted down the statue of a god and shaped into a bizarre and ugly demon to match his blackened heart, now obsessed with perfecting both his craft and his statue, the craftsman spent every waking moment shaping the statue. Years passed and eventually his wife along several more of his children died, the craftsman went blind from working at night, but still obsessively perfected the statue. The craftsman lived an impossibly long life living to be a hundred and thirty one.

 

on the hundredth anniversary man finally finished working on the statue and laid down. The statue now a Tsukumogami stood up and approached the man, with the last of his breath the craftsman cursed the statue for Taking everything from him, the statue simply thanked the craftsman then swallowed him whole and stole all of his skills, memories and desires. The statue returned wandered across the globe eventually entering Japan meeting the Tsukumogami Clan and was inspired by the leader to join, eventually rose to the rank of general and took the 'Ueta-Goremu".

Hemo-nipulation: Ueta can control/manipulate the blood it has drained from it's victims and stored in it's own body, the blood can harden to the strength of iron and can form a variety of objects. The blood can be used as an extension of Ueta's own body (e.g. if it takes the form of an eye Ueta can see from it)

 

Kufuku-Ekokyan: Ueta can absorb the Knowledge, memory and skills of the humans he has swallowed and use them as his own. he possesses memories of several lifetimes such as craftsmanship, armed combat and a basic understanding of the Onmyoji arts.
