Yu-Gi-Mon!

Yu-Gi-Oh! Universe

It all happened one day, or rather, across all timelines. One of each and every card had disappeared from existence. Even one-of-a-kind, legendary monsters such as the Signer Dragons are out of sight, their cards being but a blank slate of white. No one knows what is truly going on. Not even our heroes could do a thing about this issue...

Pokemon Universe

A massive disruption in the Earth's magnetic field has been formed, causing most electronic devices to go down. Simultaneously, numerous mysterious card-like objects have fallen from the skies. Some have even reported these objects to have taken the shape of sentient creatures or even people the second they reached the ground. At the same time, new Pokemon have mysteriously appeared throughout the World.

Coincidence? I do not believe so. Wait, why am I telling you all this?

Ah yes, I forgot to introduce myself! Welcome to the world of Pokemon! My name is Professor Laurel. People call me the Pokemon Professor. Hey, who are you calling a shortie? I'll have you know that I'm a fully matured adult!

Your journey begins in the Apocrypha Region, inhabited by a great diversity of Pokemon. I'm sure you'll have lots of fun in your journey? So, are you a boy or a girl? If you are by any chance crossdressing, I'll find out eventually, so own up now...

I think I'll stop the questions. Let's get down to business, alright? I think you know the drill now, don't you? Complete the Pokedex, fight the champion, protect the region, and I think you get it. Here's your Pokedex, have fun!
About two years ago, mysterious card-like objects fell upon the Earth. It was only a day or two later when people began to sight new Pokemon that mysteriously appeared.

You are a trainer in the Apocrypha Region, about to begin your Pokemon journey. You begin your journey with two Pokemon, your Starter Pokemon which you already possess or can acquire from the Professor, and one of the new 'Pokemon' that appeared out of the blue. You will proceed to begin your Pokemon Journey.

Meet new friends, begin new adventures, and of course, find the truth behind the new Pokemon!

Meanwhile, there is a new evil in the Apocrypha Region - Team Pucelle. Their true motives are unknown, but we know that they are doing more than just stealing Pokemon... In fact, Pokemon they steal are never seen again.

Do note that this RP is rated PG-16 for dark themes and mild sexual content(primarily from the interaction of amie and Team Purica's habits). It might get higher.

You must have at least one Trainer character before you have other characters. Unless there is a need to alter this, only one Gym Leader character and one E4 character per person.

Each trainer can only start with one first-stage Pokemon and one Level 4 or lower Duel Monster. You can start with both, or get a Pokemon and acquire the Duel Monster later. For Gym Leaders and Elite 4, only one Level 6 or lower is fine.

E4 are allowed up to two Duel Monsters, Gym Leaders, however, can have only one.

Mega Evolution is allowed, and so are unique methods to evolve your Duel Monster into its next evolution(do note how Inkay evolves). Of course, I won't stop you from evolving it via amie.

All monsters of the same archtype should have similiar abilities. Not really a rule, but I'm trying to make sense. Before the RP begins, perhaps you could discuss with others with Duel Monsters of the same archtype.

Weather-based abilities will be the way they were in Gen V and IV - permanent until something else kicks in.

There will be no level system in this. However, evolution via 'level up' is still possible. PM me if you believe that the progress of your journey has been long enough for your Pokemon to evolve, that is, unless, the evolutionary line is short like Vivilion or Beautifly.

Relationships(e.g. family, mentor) between Duel Monsters are allowed. Also, humanoid Duel Monsters are completely fine.

You can battle the Gym Leaders in any order you like.

More will be added eventually.

Professor Lauriel - The Pokemon Proffesor of the Apocrypha Region. She appears thirteen, even though she is actually forty or so. She gives you your Pokedex and asks you to help her complete it. Pretty fun-loving, but angsty if you hit a nerve. Never seen without her assistant Blaziken.

Asura - A higher-ranking admin of Team Pucelle, although not the leader. Needless to say, he is a high-ranking criminal who wishes to murder you.

More info and places soon, and maps eventually! Feel free to suggest places or names, especially so if you are playing Gym Leader!

Blossomsail Town - A large town that is most South of the region. This is where you find the Professor's Lab, where you acquire your Pokedex. There is no Pokemon Centre or PokeMart here, unfortunately. Pass through Route 1 towards North, then Route 2 to the East, and you will get to Metaljoint Town

Metaljoint Town - A place with technology potentially five to ten years ahead of the Pokemon World as a whole. This place relies on both Solar Energy and Wind energy to power their circuits. You may purchase Mega Stones here. They are currently researching on the new 'Pokemon' and the possibility of Mega Evolution for them.

Seafar City - A city by the shore, and home to the Seafar Gym, led by Gym Leader Marina. Seafar City is known for being a trading port, as well as having many valuable items being sold.

Jolta - Trainer - Eria the Water Charmer>Raging Eria
Jolta - Gym Leader of Seafar City - Codarus>Levia-Dragon Daedalus>Ocean Dragon Lord Neo Daedalus
Jolta - Elite Four - ???
Height: 6'2"

Weight: 180-90 lbs

Body Type: Fit, fairly muscular

Carter is kind of an awkward guy. He doesn't really known how to interact with people his own age, but gets along swimmingly with adults. He is an intellectual guy, that hasn't had much worldly experience. He know a lot about Pokemon, but has had very little interaction with them. Carter loves to learn new things and is often seen as a nerd. Spending most of his free time reading or researching, he really doesn't have too many friends...except Crash. Crash is Carter's friend and partner. They have been friends for seven years now, but Carter has never taken the Totodile outside of Metaljoint City. Carter and Crash are almost complete opposites in terms of personality, often causing conflict between the two. Despite their differences, Carter has a soft spot for his one and only friend and can't stay mad at him for too long.

Carter has an intense fear of adventure and the outside world. In fact, he has a pretty respectable fear for just about everything. This comes as a surprise to most people, considering Carter's size and physique, but it just goes to show that you can't judge a book by its cover. Carter's fear of the unknown, coupled with his shy attitude, renders him almost catatonic around women.

Carter has lived in Metaljoint City his entire life. His parents run a small restaurant located on the main road through time. It is legendary for its ramen, and is constantly busy. The constant business keeps the entire family on its toes and working to maintain the steady flow of income. From the age of 8, Carter has helped his parents run the Jasmine Dragonair and has become a familiar face for the regulars of the restaurant.

At age 11, Carter received a call from Blossomsail Town from Professor Lauriel. Having heard of Carter's intellectual prowess and knowledge of Pokemon he had been chosen to receive a starter Pokemon. A few days later he received a package in the mail containing a Pokeball, inside was a Totodile. Carter named his friend Crash, and despite the two's obvious differences they instantly took to one another. Carter's parents hoped that by receiving a Pokemon he would become a bit more adventurous, but their hopes were not well met. Even with Crash constantly dragging him into trouble, Carter remained a fairly reclusive teenage male.

Now at the age of 18, Carter has never left Metaljoint City. And in truth, doesn't have any real desire to. However, it appears that fate isn't quite bending to Carter's will. [now moving into future actions]. Upon the start of the roleplay, Carter will be requested to check out some strange readings that the Professor has detected in the forest outside of Metaljoint City. It will be on this adventure that Carter comes face to face with a breed of Pokemon he has never seen before, and a new journey will begin.
Other:

 • Carter has a great respect and admiration for Professor Lauriel
 • Carter has never thought much of his sexual orientation, but given the chance to explore he could very well find out that he isn't as straight as he believes

Pokemon Information:

Pokemon Preference:

Having very little experience in the outside world, Carter hasn't really got to interact with many Pokemon. However, through study and research he thinks that he will connect better with gentle Pokemon. Little does he know, that it is actually the rambunctious, usually carnivorous, Pokemon that are right for him.

Pokemon Battle Style:

Carter has studied a lot of battle styles, making his own form of Pokemon Battling very versatile...and yet at the same time very uniform. Often following a set amount of tactics and strategies, Carter's battle style doesn't incorporate very many creative or ingenious takes on battle.

Crash seems to have an unlimited supply of energy and is always eager to go.

Mainly my fault, but do include evolutionary methods in evolutionary line. Also appearance should include height, since pictures do not convey so.

Also, the lack of Boreas in the history means that he has not acquired Boreas yet, am I right?

Apart from that, you're accepted.

Will make changes. And correct, Boreas will be obtained within the first few of my posts.

Reserve a trainer [With Alien Hunter, have the Evolutionary Line in order currently] And a Gym Leader please

also I think stealthy's question was specifically about their gym leader having a higher than level 4 Duel monster rather than the trainer that will be going around and challenging Gyms?
Name: Ken Noboru

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Trainer Type: Trainer

Hometown: Blossomsail Town

http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2011/278/9/b/never_lost_the_will_to_fight_by_r727-d4byml3.jpg

Height: 5'11

Weight: 160-70 lbs

Ken is often quiet around others aside from his pokemon, the few times he speaks to other humans often being with either those who he acknowledges as better than him, or is very few words. Whilst by himself Ken often brings Larz out of his pokeball, the small pokemon bringing him more comfort than being around humans. Whilst with Larz or believing himself only in the company of pokemon Ken is much more sociable than normal and seems happy, talking in sounds that are similar to that of a pokemon. This inverse to the sadness that seems to come up when made to speak to humans, often trying to leave as soon as he can.

Ken has an extremely hard time trusting other humans, with only those he has truly acknowledged as better both in knowledge or skill and in person being those he trusts, such as Professor Lauriel, his family being the only exception to needing to be more skilled with the bond created during the years with them being enough to make him near comfortable. While around humans he trusts to an extent similar to this the sadness in his voice noticed around others often seems to disappear, though the happiness held in the presence of pokemon lacking any appearance. Whilst in a battle Ken will often try to get the nearby terrain used to his and his pokemon's advantage, such as foliage if he were to go against a flying type. After a battle if he has won against another trainer he will often attempt to leave without so much as a word spoken to them, with the small amount spoken to those who beat him merely a small congratulations and a question about his strategy to find why he lost.

Ken was born to a kind family that lived inside Blossomsail Town, making it to the age of 6 being raised by them as a normal child before losing them, an illness that they had caught having took them leaving Ken an orphan. When he found them he became scared, running away from his house and even the town into the wilderness nearby. While on his own in the wild he was found by pokemon that lived nearby, most of them non-aggressive seeing him in the state he was in, the pokemon going as far as to take him in upon finding him there again having not gone back to the town in the last few days. Ken grew among the pokemon, remembering the basics of human speech though not using it much as he lived in the wild with the pokemon that had lived near the city, living off of berries and other such things that had grown nearby.

When he reached the age of 11 he had gone out to explore, finding nearby to where his 'family' of pokemon had moved a large windmill, part of the power production for Metaljoint town. Ken had traveled further into the town curiously, avoiding the few humans he saw with memories of his parents becoming fresh in his mind as he remembered where he came from. Unknown to Ken he had been noticed by the people living in the town, one of the families having come from Blossomsail Town to try to find him in the past few years and came back every few months to see if there was news of the boy. The sudden appearance of them near him startling Ken and causing him to back away until they had eventually calmed him down, taking him in and raising him as their own, having been friends of his parents. on the trip back to Blossomsail from Metaljoint with them he called out in a sound similar to a pokemon's cry, saying goodbye to the pokemon that he had been with for the past five years, some of them having moved nearby to see him as he went past.

Ken was raised in Blossomsail and slowly taught how to speak english properly, with the pokemon speak still heavily in his brain from the five years he had lived in the wilderness and used none of his limited english, During his time living with them his new family had found that he had tried to avoid contact with them when he could, going out near the edge of town where there were wild pokemon, talking to them with sounds like their own. At the age of 14 Ken had learned enough english and about eating properly to be deemed ready to leave if he wished like some other young boys had with pokemon from the professor, took to meet her and to get his own pokemon. Among those there Ken had managed to find a small Larvitar, the coloring of it different than normal, with it hiding away inside the building, Ken making soft sounds in his pokemon like language had managed to keep it calm enough to get close. Ken chose the Larvitar naming it 'Larz' and stayed with his family for the next few years, not going far from home aside from when they went out to get supplies and to visit the forest pokemon once every few days, these visits getting less frequent as he grew more accustomed to living as a human.

Ken was bought some poke balls on what was his 16th birthday, a few days after this during one of his normal trips to visit the pokemon in the forest he found a large creature he had never seen before, it's aggression causing it to try to attack him. Ken having had Larvitar with him tried to fight the creature, Larz using sandstorm obscuring it's vision and then using Iron defense as it got near to protect himself, along with this some of the nearby pokemon Ken had lived with at one time in the forest attacked it, protecting Ken, the large creature falling unconscious from this, with one of Ken's poke balls rolling out from his bag as he tripped approaching it. The poke ball that slipped out of his bag landed on the creature and opened up drawing it inside and capturing it. Ken had since tried bringing it out and talking to it in his pokemon language for the next year, proving incapable of breaking through to it and it's anger at having been captured showing, though the aggression it showed towards him settling down and being redirected on others who came near it when it was outside it's poke ball. After giving up trying to talk to the in his pokemon language he had muttered the words "what are you" in english, a response coming from it that sounded like 'Hunter' it's voice a weird growl like sound. Since then Ken has refferred to the creature as Hunter though still hasn't managed to find a way to get it to converse with him much, leaving for his adventure at the age of 18 to try to see more of the world and see if anyone else had known of a creature like Hunter. Ken acquired a pokedex from the professor when he told her he was going to leave town, the pokemon professor being one of the few he actually talked to.
Others:

Ken has created his own language similar to that of pokemon consisting of various sounds and cries from the pokemon that he lived with, this allowing him a very basic understanding of what pokemon are saying or atleast the attitude behind what they are saying from hearing them, and is able to converse with a small amount of pokemon.

When in battle against another pokemon Larz will often act tough pretending that he is stronger and more aggressive than whoever he is fighting, this from falling as soon as he gets hit a couple of times revealing his normal shy side, Larz often attempting to avoid contact with the other pokemon at this point unless he is attacking.
While out of it's poke ball near Ken he often ignores his attempts to speak with him, having only replied once which ended up giving him the name of Hunter. Hunter is only calm when around water, the feel of it especially during night refreshing him. Whilst away from a large source of water Hunter will always be more irritable and continue acting hostile towards others until he learns more about them. As he has learned slowly about Ken Hunter has grown to like him slightly more, becoming less hostile towards him though still refusing to speak. If in a battle Hunter will often not listen to Ken, believing he knows best how to handle the battle himself, this easily able to get him in trouble with pokemon that are his opponents being creatures he knows nothing about.

Height: 6'1

Weight: 185-90 lbs

Dracul seems rather critical of others, including his own pokemon at times watching them closely and often stopping their natural habits that would cause any harm or damage to others of the coliseum. He is often quiet when around humans, talking slowly and deliberately as if the few words he does say hold a large amount of meaning. Despite this silence around humans however he is often quite friendly and talkative to his pokemon when they aren't causing trouble.

When in a battle with a trainer attempting to go for his gym badge he often orders his Dragons movements tactically planned, these maneuvers named and practiced at times when the gym has been without challengers, the 'code names' for these moves involving part of the name of an attack. When his pokemon become hurt he slowly gets angrier, his dragonair 'Knuck' being close enough to him that if in danger he would protect them with his own life, this protective nature over 'Knuck' being the strongest of his bonds with anyone pokemon or human. Due to this when in a pokemon battle in which 'Knuck' is used as one of the pokemon in combat he will often resort to more aggressive tactics with his pokemon battling rather than the more tactical ones used with others.

Theme: Ancient Coliseum/Dual Dragons

Gym/Elite Four Area Description: The gym is a large olden coliseum made of stone, a small stone maze having been constructed hooked up to machinery beneath the coliseum, allowing for the maze to be lowered into the ground and even changed between two patterns made of stone walls that retract into the ground. Once the maze has been conquered it will be lowered into the ground completely revealing a pattern on the top of the stone marking an arena for the pokemon to fight on, with small stone pedestals with edges along the front slightly higher than the base rising at either end of the arena for the trainer and Gym Leader to stand at. the surroundings aside from the ground have had very little changes made with the old and now in some parts cracked stone still holding up the majority of the complex and doing so well, with no changes to it's shape needed to accommodate the pokemon owned by the Gym Leader and still holding up well. Any battles inside the Gym being Double battles with two pokemon at a time being used.

Pokemon: Dragonair (Shiny)

Nickname: Knuck

Gender: Male

Ability: Shed Skin
Knuck is extremely protective of both Dracul and the other Dragon-Type pokemon owned by him, it's personality changing as the chance of them getting hurt increases. While in battle the normally gentle aura felt emanating from a dragonair will grow more vicious as other dragons are in danger, this change in aura coming completely from it's personality going from gentle and calm one second to a near venomous attitude the next as those it protects are hurt. If during a battle one of Dracul's other Dragon-Type pokemon faints from damage in the battle Knuck will become extremely enraged, attacking by itself until it tires out, this loss of control leading to Knuck generally only being used last in battles as to lessen the chance of it losing control like such.

During battle Tyrant often listens to Dracul's commands or plans, some of which he has practised on, though Tyrant prefers to attempt to make the other pokemon submit to him than to outright cause them to faint, this often showing as him being cruel during battles.
No Level 5 higher Duel Monsters. You can catch one later, or evolve one from another monster, like Cyber Larva or Proto-Cyber Dragon. Especially so since I mentioned that you can challenge the Gym Leaders in any order you desire.
Yeah, my gym theme is Mech, so I'd like to have Chber Dragon as my "Trump Pokemon"

One question, in the opening post it only says the yugioh cards appeared about two ago, so about how long ago did they appear? Also, placing a reserve for the Majestic Mech series as my Duel Monster.

My bad, my bad. Two years.

Well, seeing that Gym Leaders technically start earlier, I guess a Level 6 or lower is fine. I'll alter the first post. I'm on mobile so I can't update reserves.

So, should I add Egg Groups for Duel Monsters?

EDIT: I added a Gender section for Duel Monsters and Pokemon.

No need to modify the reserves now for me anyway, my app is here, ready to go.
Name: Tsubaki Kihara

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Trainer Type: Trainer

Hometown: Bloosomsail Town
Tsubaki is kind-hearted and gentle, friendly to both humans and Pokémon alike. The few exceptions to that is usually just when someone, either a human or a Pokémon is bullying or being mean to another, in which case she usually jumps to the defence of the victim. She’s usually calm and relaxed, with the only thing that really gets her angry being someone treating a Pokémon badly.

She’s not particularly afraid of what's outside the area she lives, but at the same time has very little curiosity to find out, preferring the well known areas that she usually travels. She’s interested in the genetics of Pokémon, but hasn’t decided if that’s what she wants to do with her life or not, and she's quite fond of chocolate. Tsubaki gets along fine with both teens and adults, used to both taking care of and playing for her younger brother and talking with the adults who occasionally come by to see to her parents.

The child of a pair of Pokémon breeders, Tsubaki’s family have been Pokémon breeders for as long they can remember. Living on a farm just outside of Bloosomsail Town, they breed Pokémon and raise the Pokémon they breed until they’re old enough to go to Professor Lauriel and given out to those wanting to be Pokémon trainers. Tsubaki also has two siblings, an older sister that's already learning the family business, and a younger brother whose still in school. One of the Kihara family’s most prized Pokémon is Hekate’s father, Nyx, an adult Absol, whose ability to predict disasters has saved the family a couple of times in the past. Hekate was born when Tsubaki was 12, and with Tsubaki spending a lot of time caring for Hekate then, the two became good friends quickly. When the time came that several of the Pokémon would have been sent off with Professor Lauriel, Tsubaki refused to let Hekate go with them as she was supposed to, which caused her parents to, with the Professor’s approval, allow Tsubaki have Hekate as her starter Pokémon instead of giving her away.

After the new Pokémon appeared, Tsubaki and Hekate met Helios in the wild on their way making a shopping trip to Metaljoint Town for her family about a year ago. At the time, the Majestic Mech - Senku was trying to run away from another wild Pokémon that was attacking it, and was already heavily injured from that Pokémon. Feeling sympathy for the unusual Pokémon, Tsubaki intervened, getting Hekate to protect the Majestic Mech – Senku and using one of the spare Poké Balls she carried along in case she found an injured Pokémon, captured the Pokémon to protect it, bringing it back to the farm with her when she returned. Once there, she treated its wounds and comforted it, getting it to relax around her, and eventually naming it Helios, and have since started to train it as part of her team of Pokémon, albeit only her second Pokémon in the team as she wasn’t intending on having a team to begin with.

Tsubaki is fairly tall, standing at 5'11 high and is rather thin, but in a healthy way. Her eyes are blue, and her hair is long and blond, running partway down her back. Her skin is lightly tanned, having spent so much time out in the sun with the family's Pokémon, and her overall movements seem to be flowing and graceful. To a closer view, her leg muscles are also well developed from walking and running around so much with the Pokémon, and her breasts measure in at a B-cup. She's also quite fit, another side effect from both training and playing with the Pokémon so much.

When she's just walking around the farm, Tsubaki tends to wear shorts and a t-shirt, and only wears a pair of brown work boots around some parts of the farm. If she's walking around town, she'll often change from shorts to a skirt and put on a pair of shoes, as well as a bag that holds her Poké Balls and first aid kit, along with anything else she believes she'll need. If she's going out for a trip to Metaljoint Town, she'll wear full length jeans and her boots, along with a t-shirt and her bag. Most of her Poké Balls are stored in her bag, though she keeps one connected to her necklace, which is the Poké Ball that Helios remains in when they go out, and if she's at just walking around the farm, the necklace will usually just contain an empty Poké Ball.
Others: Tsubaki is skilled in first aid, having learnt it caring for injured Pokémon on the farm.

Pokémon: Absol

Nickname: Hekate

Gender: Female

Ability: Pressure

Mega Evolution Ability: Magic Bounce

Personality: Hekate is quite loyal to her partner, having been raised from birth by Tsubaki and her family, and very protective of Tsubaki. She’s also quite stubborn, refusing to go into a Poké Ball, instead choosing to walk along with her partner, and sticking with her decisions when she makes them.

Moves: Punishment, Feint and Razor Wind

Others: Hekate has a higher speed than a typical Absol, and gained the move Punishment from its breeding. She also hasn’t exhibited any signs so far of being able to predict natural disasters, an ability all Absol should have.

Duel Monster Name: Majestic Mech - Senku

Nickname: Helios

Gender: Genderless

Type: Fairy/Flying
500px-MajesticMechSenku-TF04-JP-VG.jpg
Ability: Synchronize

Personality: Helios has a fairly skittish personality, nervous about the humans and Pokémon around it and not particularly trusting of many. With Tsubaki, who managed to get it to be calm around her, and Hekate, Tsubaki’s partner, it allows itself to relaxes, but if anyone else is around as well, it inevitably ends up trying to hide behind one of the two of them, not an easy thing to do since it’s about as large as a normal human as well. It’s also somewhat curious about the areas around it, interested to know what this place is and why it’s not where it originated, but after being attacked too many times in the long grass by Pokémon confusing it with the humans, that curiosity has been curbed around areas with long grass.

Moves: Moon Blast, Double Team, Aura Sphere

Evolutionary Line: Majestic Mech - Senku -> Majestic Mech – Ohka -> Majestic Mech - Goryu

Base Stats: High Speed and Special Defence, Medium Special Attack and Defence, Low Attack and Health

Name: Lukas Verone
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Trainer Type: Gym Leader
Hometown: Werknaal City
Lukas is ridiculously head strong. He works until he literally passes out, wakes up, then goes to the gym. He's always trying to improve; one of his favorite quotes is "Perfection always improves". His die hard attitude sometimes leads to hurting himself or other trainers, because he's going all out. He insists that all the trainers in his gym train with him, in both Pokemon and Physical Physique. Whenever someone falls behind, he picks them up and keeps them going, through "forceful encouragement". His only concern is improvement.

Outside of the gym, he is relatively quite and keeps to himself. He doesn't like to talk to others, share his feelings, or talk about pretty much anything besides training. He usually is always in the gym, and inside there's a total transformation. He's fierce, angry, and aggressive. He prides himself in being the heavy lifting champion for the region, and never ceases to point it out to people. In the gym, he is aggressively encouraging, either creating super-resilient trainers, or leaving trainers running crying out of the gym. In battles, he never lets up, so he'll leave your Pokemon wrecked if you don't give 100%.

Lukas' father was just like he is today, a a never-give up, always give 100% hardcore trainer. His mother died during his birth from complications, and deep down he's longed for a mother figure. His father never remarried, and their whole life, it was them against the world. He was the gym leader in his town, Crushtran. One day, when Lukas was 18, his father told him it was time to create his own legacy. Lukas left the house, wandering around the region for a while, with an Onix that his father gave him. He met a man who employed him in a rock yard, and one day, while working, he found a metal coat. He pocketed, knowing exactly what it did, he pocketed it. Once he had earned enough money to travel on his own journey, (he was about 20, and had buffed up from the heavy lifting) , he bought everything he would need to be a trainer. He gave a metal coat to the Onix, and evolved it into a Steelix.

One day, while traveling, he saw a strange, snake-like robotic Pokemon. When he approached it, it roared, and fired of an Electro Ball. He had a team of 4 at that point, consisting of Steelix, Metagross, Magneton, and Aggron, and he considered himself pretty powerful. He jumped out of the way, and sent out his Metagross. After a long, difficult battle, his Steelix delivered a knock out blow, allowing him to catch the Cyber Dragon, he nicknamed it CD. He recently captured SMR, which he found flying around his gym.
Others: Battle Quote: "Let's see you beat the Might of the Machine!"

Lukas is about 6'5, and weighs about 230 pounds, all muscle. He is, obviously, very buff, and runs very fast. He has Hazel brown eyes, with just a hint of green. He has 2 inch buzz cut, with brown hair. He has a few small scars here and there, but has a large scar that looks like a crescent moon from an accident at the rock yard.

He wears black work-out t-shirts, and if he has to dress up for an event or major Pokemon battle, he'll wear a button down. He wears kaki shorts in his casual wear, and long kaki pants when he's wearing his formal clothes. He wears tennis shoes at all times, except for formal wear. He wears thick black aviator glasses, and he thinks they look great with the rest of his clothes. In actuality, he looks ridiculous with them on, but no one can convince him so.
From the outside of the Gym, it looks like an old Junkyard, piles of parts everywhere. As you walk in, it is realized that the Gym is complex, with many climbable Junk piles, bridges made of tangled up wires and pipes, as well as places you must jump your bike off of to get to. The majority of trainers in the gym have Steel or Electric type Pokemon, and some are waiting in the piles, others at the bike landings, and others still on the bridges.

Personality: Metagross is one who tries not to get hit, but enjoys delivering heavy damage to its opponents. She works well with the other pokemon, trying to get them to work together
Pokemon: Magneton
Ability: Analytic.
Personality: Magneton and SMR have actually been "friends" for a while. He convinced SMR to let Lukas catch him while they were battling. Duel Monster Name: Cyber Dragon

Ability: Volt Absorb
Personality: CD is rebellious. It thinks that it knows best, blatantly going against Lukas' plans during battles. He is rude and outlandish towards Lukas, yet deep down truly connects with him. He realizes that they aren't so different, that they're both independent and determined to do things their way. That's why, even if he's not doing what he's told, CD works hard while training. Sometimes, CD will train on his own, simply to show that he doesn't always need Lukas' help.

Duel Monster Name: Scrap Mind Reader
Type: Steel/Psychic
Appearance:
Ability: Download
Personality: Scrap Mind reader is an obedient machine. It almost has no thought or strategy, leaving it up to Lukas to make the split second decisions. This sometimes becomes a problem, seeing how Lukas must always be paying attention to what SMR is doing. When training, SMR goes all out, trying it's best to please Lukas. At times, SMR's need to please leads to it hurting itself. When this happens, SMR accepts that he needs to stop. Before that moment, though, his will is un breakable.

Name: Sarah Hedstone
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Trainer Type: Starting Trainer
Hometown: Asip City: A large city, with its own small bustling communities. It's located smack dab in the middle of the region, and of trade passes through here.
Sarah is very flighty and goofy. She lets her brain wander off in fifteen different directions. She often asks stupid questions, sometimes to mask how truly intelligent she is. She is very book smart, and can tell you the name, type, and ability of any Pokemon she sees. Street wise, she is not the sharpest. She easily gets lost, doesn't handle fights very well, and doesn't understand most sarcasm.

She is unintentionally flirtatious, often complimenting guys and charming them in her own strange way. When she battles, her intelligence shines dully through her veil of flighty-ness. Her strategies are great, and she makes sure her Pokemon are well taken care of. She is relatively sociable, and loves to make friends. When something happens that makes her sad, it's very hard to cheer her up.

Growing up, Sarah often missed her parents. They were both field archaeologists, and were always out exploring some new site. One day, when Sarah was home alone, there was a large fire in the local community. While running to try and help combat the fire, she met its culprit, a small lizard, flames burning down its spine. She quickly tossed a Pokéball at it, catching it. When her parents came back, she was no longer there.

She had run off, to go on an adventure with her newfound Pokemon. She brought her Larvitar, Speckles, with her, but left all her others at her home. Her parents have a search warrant out for her, so she is trying to lay low right now, building her team up a bit before taking on the league. She sleeps with her Pokemon in the wild.
Name: Daniel Keer

Age: 20

Gender: Male

Trainer Type: Trainer

Hometown: Metaljoint Town

Appearance: Daniel is rather thin and underweight -- "Gaunt" would generally be an appropriate term to describe his frame. He has close-cropped black hair, and dark brown eyes.  He has glasses, but he usually doesn't wear them since he only needs them for close-up things like reading. He's tall, about 6'3". He usually has dark rings under his eyes from lack of sleep, and an almost constantly annoyed expression.

He tends to wear dark grey clothes, normally just plain long pants and a long-sleeved shirt. The clothes are made in the specific shade that best blends into shadowy environments (Contrary to popular belief, black isn't the best color for stealth, since it tends to be slightly darker than your surroundings). His clothes are specially made, and use very thick cloth. He tends to keep his possessions in hidden pockets in his shirt and pants -- while the pockets are there, they're difficult to see when he's not actually reaching into them. He also carries a very small pack,  but he doesn't keep anything particularly important in there -- more or less everything is hidden away in his pockets (He travels light)

Personality: Daniel's default state of being is annoyed. He considers everyone an idiot until they prove otherwise, something that hasn't won him any friends. Not that he particularly wants friends, or at least not human ones -- he tends to despise people in general. He likes Pokemon though, since they tend not to be very complicated. Largely, this is due to his poor understanding of other people, as he just plain doesn't get what makes other people tick. However, his hatred for other people actually masks an inferiority complex and a deep-seated sense of self-loathing.

Generally speaking, Daniel wants the best for himself and those few individuals he cares about (His Pokemon and his older brother, for the most part). Unfortunately, he doesn't particularly care about what happens to the people that don't fall under that banner, and thus is willing to do any nasty and underhanded thing that comes to mind if he or someone he cares about would benefit from it. He also tends to assume the worst of people by default, an attitude that borders on paranoia at times. This attitude, combined with his tendency to skulk about like some sort of spy or assassin, means that he usually gives people the impression of being a villain -- an impression that may or may not end up being too far from the truth...

History: Born Daniel Soluda, Daniel grew up in Metaljoint town with his brother Dexter. He idolized his brother, as everything his brother did was successful -- the opposite of Daniel's own image of himself. With himself as the perennial screw-up and his brother as the living success story, Daniel developed a massive inferiority complex even as he increasingly put his brother on a pedestal. When his brother became a member of the Pokemon League, Daniel had finally had enough. Deciding that he would be unable to succeed on his brother's path -- that is to say, the "acceptable" method of success in the Pokemon world, ascending to the top as a Pokemon Master -- Daniel decided to become successful through the opposite path.

Going by a false last name to avoid staining his brother's reputation, Daniel  disappeared in the middle of the night, leaving his attempt at a college education behind without telling a soul where he was headed. He took with him the the Pokemon and the Duel Monster his brother had given him -- the first when he was twelve, the other a year ago, neither of which he had really attempted to train -- a bag full of berries, as many Pokeballs as he could afford... and a knife.

One way or another, he would reach the top. The top of what he still wasn't sure.

Possessions:

12 Oran Berries, 8 Pecha Berries, 5 Cheri Berries, 3 Persim Berries, 2 Chesto Berries, 11 Pokeballs, 1 Premier Ball, 1 Great Ball, 1 Knife.

Pokemon: Froakie

Nickname: Keroga

Gender: Female

Ability: Torrent

Mega Evolution Ability: Infiltrator

Personality: Obeys whatever Daniel says, without question. Without instruction from Daniel, tends to just sit there keeping an eye out for danger, usually perched on Daniel's shoulder or following somewhere close behind, unseen. Is very neutral about everything, generally displaying little to no emotion whatsoever other than apparent boredom or alert attentiveness.

Moves: Thief, Water Pulse, Toxic

Others: Mega Evolution greatly increases speed and physical attack, and slightly increases special defense; however, special attack and physical defense both drastically decrease. The Mega Evolved form looks like this:

tumblr_mw22s6UxfT1sjb5deo1_500.jpg

Duel Monster Name: Skystarray

Nickname: Skyler

Gender: Male

Type: Pure Flying

Appearance: Looks much like this:

300px-SkystarrayGENF-EN-R-1E.jpg

But is slightly smaller; if Daniel were standing next to it in the above picture, the top of the thing it's holding in its tentacle would be about level with Daniel's chest.

Ability: Fade-Out (Powers up moves that render the user invulnerable for a turn before hitting, i.e. Fly, Dive, etc., as well as moves that switch the user out, such as U-Turn. Also makes moves that hit Pokemon that are on an invulnerable turn, such as Thunder for the move Fly, much more likely to miss, as well as the move Pursuit)

Personality: Respects Daniel as its master, but gets a bit grumpy when Daniel is nice to anyone other than himself (Not that he isn't usually grumpy the rest of the time). This is not because of any sense of possessiveness, but because Skyler is a sadist. He enjoys causing pain, though he will begrudgingly cease this behavior if Daniel is insistent enough. His sadistic tendencies often cause him to get sidetracked.

Moves: Dive, Feint Attack, Volt Switch

Base Stats: Passable Special Defense, Below average Physical and special attack, Average hit points, Mediocre Speed, Physical Defense that is hilariously low.

Other: Evolves into Destruction Cyclone when reaching level 30 or higher in a sky battle. Destruction Cyclone looks like this:

300px-DestructionCyclone-STON-EN-C-1E.jp

Is pure flying type, has the ability Spiral Cloak (Clears away entry hazards upon being released from its Pokeball), has very high special attack, less base hit points than Skystarray, and has slightly higher stats everywhere else. As for size, for comparison it's about the size of a Salamence, perhaps slightly bigger. However, most of its size is made up of the spiraling winds that surround it; inside of the winds, it is a green and yellow salamander/jellyfish sort of thing that is about a third of the size.
So, when would I be allowed to make a gym leader/E4 application? I have a pretty clear idea of what I want with that.
