A question regarding the Animus and the False Cores. How far can they be applied? Also, can Animus be directly manifested, not channeled?

That would require massive energy no possible for a single person and even if you could, it's much more useful to channel it through something else and strengthen something else.

Animus's main functions are to give strength and speed to the user and, when channeled through Animus cores, can create movement.

Animus cores are really Animus powered conduits and motors.

Still having trouble on thinking up Isaiah's weapon. I'm trying to think of something that's related to light, so it has a connection to Isaac Newton, but I can't think of anything efficient. My main idea is something to do with a prism-gun, but I'm still not sure. Hmmm...

I'm just trying to find aloophole to use a laser gun in a steam punk era. That aside, Merciful, have you considered a some-sort of gravity altering gun or something?

Just some sort of energy beam then. I guess you could. But it should also require a battery.

So then, a gun with a False Core installed to turn Animus into energy beams, with a battery to limit the number of shots. The weapon are really powerful, but to use that, you need to ignore Animus investments in other sectors such as speed and strenght and focus all the energies to it. Sounds fair?

Yep. Go ahead.

I should've thought of that first! ;_; That kind of weapon would probably suit Isaiah's fighting style extremely well, especially since it requires Animus control, doesn't require physical effort, is related to light, and is long-ranged...

Don't be ridiculous, gravity cannot be altered. That's for looney sci-fi writers to dream about~ even in our modern age, we can't alter gravity, so there's no way a magical-steampunk world can accomplish it. Besides, it sounds like an underwhelming gun.

*sigh*

Now I have even less ideas.

Or how about something that can accelerate or slow down things? One of Animus's application is about speed after all, so it might be possible to abuse it that way.

Oh, by the way, the app:

”Hmmph, you casuals won't be able to even build a simple clock. Let me show you how a master do it.”
Personal Information
Name: Altgräfin Caeil von Ramillies

Age: 19

Gender: Female

Date of Birth: March 7th

v9wcoG7.jpg

5’60’’ height, 120 lbs weight. Gliederfüßer not shown.

Eventhough she has a noble blood flowing inside her, her usually inelegant, rash behavior made people easily overlooked that well-known fact.  She doesn’t really care about planning and all the desk works; she prefers to build things by trial and error.  She rarely speaks to people, but when she does, expect the conversation to shift into a one-hour lecture on which type of lubes is the best for automatons. She also has little to no interest to mingle with people, preferring to tinker her beloved machineries instead.

She prefers to keep most of whatever she has created to herself, whether successes or failures, mainly because she often thinks that her creation is still imperfect, and showing imperfection would tarnish her (almost non-existent image. Because of this, she often looks like she’s all work and no results, which once created a spark between her and her family, until she perfected her Gliederfüßer.

The only trace left of her noble blood is her pride. She regards her peers as just some babbling fools that have no idea about the beauty of machineries, and she often regards other engineers as try-hard amateurs. This behavior is another reason why she prefers to be alone, since she believed that those kind of people doesn’t deserve her valuable time.

She aspired to be the one inventor and engineer that can finally replace Daedalus as the greatest of all time.

Born as the first daughter of a noble family from Germania, she was the legitimate successor of her father, and thus, she received the education needed to be a good noble. As she grew up though, it started to be apparent that she had no desires to inherit her family’s land as a noble and prefers to be a Knight-Engineer just like her uncle. Despite their initial disapproval and surprise, they finally agreed to let her try, on one condition. She must prove that her desire to be a Knight-Engineer was not only a product of her whim.

Determined to prove herself, she then immediately proceeded to work hard in her family’s workshop for 2 years, almost never left the place at all, working really hard for days and nights without holidays. After 2 years of no results, her parents thought that they had enough, and decided to take back their part of the deal. But when they entered the workshop, they cannot find Caeil. They was worried that Caeil might have left them forcefully, but then a familiar vice called them from the outside. It was Caeil, who were flying with some form of machinery that resembled an insect’s wing.

Caeil is somewhat an athletic person, she can run for a long distance, but her arm strength actually kind of sucked, so she always relied on her Gliederfüßer for that department. Her main strength lies in her creativity. Eventhough there’s not much remarkable things about her skills with machinery, her creativity coupled with her dedication and determination made her able to create some highly sophisticated machinery, like the Entomoarthron.

She excels at close combat while not doing that bad for a long-ranged one, and even with the added weight of her Gliederfüßer, she’s still agile enough to run across the battlefield while dodging enemies projectiles.

She dedicated her Animus usage on speed, using it to enhance her reflexes and her movement speed, while also spending some of it to control and buff her Gliederfüßer. She prefers to fix her machines manually, eventhough she has the ability to use Animus for it.

Due to lack of social interaction and her 2 years of solitude, her language skills are kind of lacking, but she does know some of the Germanian language.

-Altgräfin is not an actual name. It’s her title of nobility.

-She really liked insects, mainly due to them being the only living things that she interacted with during her time in the workshop.

-She hated frogs with a burning passion.

-Her favorite food is anything that contains meat, especially steaks.

-Due to her noble lineage, she actually enjoys hunting. Though lately, she's stuck with hunting monsters to prevent overkills.

-She hates, hates, hates explosive.

-She always carries her wrench everytime, even in the bathroom or when she's sleeping.

-She aspired to create an automaton that can perfectly imitates life.

-She only sleeps for around 3 hours or less every day. She prefers to work overnight in a workshop.

[spoiler: Gliederfüßer's stats]

Classification: Pseudo-automaton versatile armor.

Size: 80 x 30 centimeters in shell mode, individual arms can reach the length of up to 2 meters. WIngmode span is 1 meters for each wings(6 of them).

Weight: Around 15 kilograms.

The Gliederfüßer is some kind of contraption that looked like a bug's shell in its passive state. When activated, it splits into six segmented legs with sharp edges, just like an insect. The primary functions of the machine are to help her in her workshop since the edges of each leg can split into a hand-like structure, and for flying, by using the insect limbs as the foundation for 6 insect wing-like thin structures. The flying function is limited though, she cannot fly more than 1 minutes with it. Each arms has their own False Animus cores, that is why they are really versatile.

Though, as she seeks to go beyond perfection, she started to add more utilities and weapons to the limbs. Now they can form swords, lances, shields, and other assortments of light-mid melee weapons, and she still experimenting to make the arms have mini-Totenmesse installed, but so far her attempts on that is not quite successful. She currently trying to find a Daedalus Core of her own, believing that she can reverse-engineer it and replicate it for her own interest, which is turning all of the Gliederfüßer's arm into Totenmesse.

Length91.4 centimeters

Weight: 3.4 kilograms

Maximum Range: 500 meter

Firing Rate: Fast

Battery Life: 9 shots

The Totenmesse is a unique rifle she designed on the way to Britannia specifically for long-range combat. While it looks like an ordinary rifle, the Totenmesse doesn't use any bullet. Instead, she installed a False Animus Core inside it for her to channel Animus to create energy beams. Though really powerful, the Totenmesse have a battery that limits the number of shots it can fire before the weapon started to break down. And to use it, Caeil has to stop channeling Animus into herself and the Entomoarthron first, making her vulnerable. She's currently experimenting whether giving it more false cores can make it more stable and not as energy-draining as it is now.

Classification: Self-activating defense mechanism

Size: 30 x 30 centimeters for each plates. Total of 7 plates.

Weight: Around 120 grams per plates.

Material: Titanium Alloy

Number of False Cores installed: 7

With the resources she got from the Daedalus Academy, she's also currently developing the Beehive Barrier System, a system comprising of 7 plates stored inside the base of the Gliederfüßer, which used Animus to sense an attack and also to arrange itself to protect Caeil from it, even if she didn't noticed the attack. The response time is currently too slow though, and the sensitivity still needs to be improved.

She recently started to modify her goggles into a compound-eye goggles, but so far, she has failed to make a design that's comfortable for her to wear.

She never really think much about her combat style, preferring to use everything she has to pummel the enemies to oblivion, while dodging or guarding every attack coming at her. She avoids getting herself to be hit by anything, since her body is not quite strong to take those. But she realized, with her Animus spent into her gadgets usability and movement speed, when her gadgets break in the middle of a battle, she's pretty much defenseless.

All hail Charles zi Brittania! All Hail Oppai!

Changelog no.1: Gave more details on the existing gadgets and moved the Beehive Barrier from others into a legit gadget. Also finished the Combat Style section.

Hmm...Could an Animus Core be charged enough to allow for an automaton to gain sentience and independent action?

kukukuku... however, at the moment, I can't let you do that, sorry. Unless YOU are the automaton. PM me if you want.

Hey Axi, could I maybe have that one spot for Crescent Isles? c:

And writing my app as I speak.

Sure.
