Most Broken Anime Card?

Recommended Posts

What, in your opinion, are the 3 most broken cards used in the anime?

For me, it goes like this:

1. Magic Removal Virus Cannon - send all your opponent's Spells to the Graveyard (in the dub it was 10 Spells)

2. Anime Crush Card - Destroy all your opponent's monsters with 1500+ ATK and they can't use it again as long as Crush Card is in the Graveyard

3. Philosopher's Stone - Sabatiel - When a "Winged Kuriboh" on your side of the field is destroyed, you can add this card from your Deck to your handPay half of your Life Points to add 1 card from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. After this card is activated, it is placed into the Deck. Then shuffle the Deck. After you use this effect 3 times, this card takes on the following effect. Select 1 face-up monster on your side of the field and multiply its ATK by the number of monsters on your opponent's side of the field until this turn's End Phase.

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 1 LIGHT Warrior-Type and 1 DARK Fiend-Typemonster from your Graveyard. Cards and effects cannot be activated in response to this card's Special Summon. You can pay 1000 Life Points; banish all cards your opponent controls and all cards in their hand and Graveyard, then inflict 500 damage to your opponent for each card banished by this effect.

honey i broke yugioh.

3. Philosopher's Stone - Sabatiel

Sabatiel essentially gives +3 more copies of every card in your deck. Since I've actually used it in a deck, I can confirm that adding 2-3 Sabatiels break anything. Hell, it's made InfernityFableds something that can synchro like 6-7 times a turn.

Anime Obelisk was ridiculously powerful. Tribute 2 monsters, get dealt 4000 points of damage? No thank you.

Mischief of the Time Goddess - Skip your opponent's next turn. Oh sure, I'd love to use it, but if someone did that to me, I'd be like "f***!"

Negative Energy Generator - Triple the ATK of any DARK monster. No need explain.

Oh wow, that almost makes CED look like a balanced card. What card is this?

In Tagforce 6, there is a banlist feature that unlimits everything. This card is great on so many levels. Megamorph is also a nice card to run with it.

Most broken anime card? (Other than the stone) The Divine Serpent or anything else with Infinite Attack, in my opinion. Getting attacked means you lose, no questions asked.

Unless you have Magic Cylinder/Mirror Force/Sakuretsu Armor/Negate Attack/Dimensional Prison/Solemn Judgement/Warning upon summon/Black Horn of Heaven etc.

mandatory mention of Chaos End Ruler, Envoy of beginning and end, those draw cards from DK, also I'll rank anime Astral Force and those Number Cs from Argent Chaos quite high too. As for decks, Temporal Machine Gods wins, no contest.

Meh... I was gonna mention Number C6, but you had already mentioned them.

What about Card of Demise?
What about Card of Demise?
I actually have an OriCa version of Card of Demise. For competitive play, it's definitely broken but for fun, casual decks, I think it's fine. Especially for those kind of decks where you need the cards to pull some kind of combo that would never work in competitive decks.

I know it'd be broken IRL, although in terms of the anime, it's kinda tame compared to what we have seen in this topic.

Well, it was designed to be broken in-universe, but some trivia reveals that its original design intention, before Ziegfried hacked the card, excluded the last 2 lines of text.

Meanwhile, take a look at Final Attack Orders, and realize how the anime version mills everyone down to 3 cards. Now combine with Iron Chain Dragon and weep.
