Card requirements

Make a generic Spellcaster-type Xyz Monster. Sounds simple enough? But wait, there's more.
The cards cannot have more than 2300 ATK, nor can it have an effect that banishes cards. 'Cause that's just cliched.
2 Level 4 Monsters
This card gains 500 ATK and DEF for each Xyz Material attached to it. This card cannot be destroyed by a card effect as long as it has an Xyz Material attached to it. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: you can attach that monster to this card as Xyz Material. You can Detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Special Summon 1 Xyz Material attached to this card. The effect(s) of that monster is negated and it cannot be used as Xyz Material for an Xyz Summon.
2 Level 3 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 2 Xyz Materials from this card; Gain 2000 Life Points. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, both players take no effect damage. During your Standby Phase, if this card is in your Graveyard: You can pay 500 Life Points; return it to the Extra Deck.
I know there's LITERALLY no point to using the A and B system, but whatevs man. Screw anonymity, I wanna be popular!

Card A is a card that'll gradually be more powerful as it destroys a monster by battle, while having an ability to pseudo swarm.

Card B is a card that'll give you a huge LP recover, protects you from burn decks, and can recycle itself.

At first, I want to vote for card A, but then I remember many cards that can abuse a not once-per turn generic SS effect. Though it'll leave you with a 800 ATK deadweight afterwards, cards like Wonder Wand or Limited Barian's Force can easily fix that.

Card B is more situational though, but it's good at what it does.

Vote for Card B for balance reasons.

I vote for Card A.

Card B is still pretty good, I just feel it needs the "you can only use the effect of...once per turn" clause. I mean, seems easy to spam a Xyz Regen combo to get lots of Lifepoints. Add Heart of Clear Water, Xyz Unit, Regen, etc to spam the effect. Not to mention Summoning Tourguide gives you 2000 Lifepoints, in essence.
Card A can take some time to get rolling, and has to attack to utilize the effect. And it seems legit for a Rank 4 considering it being weaker at the start than most commonly-played Level 4 monsters. It can be OP once it gets going though. I think it should be a FIRE type for two reasons, but only one matters here: you can use Honest with this. You can with the other card, but this card can really use it. Combo, yes. OP? Maybe, you decide. Seems perfectly fine to me.

And nice Date a Live art. Seems fitting. =3

Card B gets my vote due to balance reasons.

While card A might only have 1800 ATK at the beginning, it can just keep increasing ATK and like Ain mentioned, can pseudo-swarm in a way due to not being OPT (though it will become a 800 ATK vanilla afterwards due to no more materials). When its use is up, it can just be Ranked Up into what Rank 5 monster player chooses. Being immune to card effects is nice, but only works if it has Xyz Materials to work with.

Card B has one use of its effect in normal cases, gives a decent size LP recovery and works well against Burn decks. Plus, it has an OPT clause to keep it from giving its user a near endless amount of LP.

With that said, I'd vote for A but due to it being abusable with the aforementioned cards, the vote's going to B.
