Social Networking

I was sitting in an exam the other week and it dawned on me how much social networking is used in modern society, For example when i first joined this site i never heard the word Facebook in a lesson and Instagram didn't even exist. Another thing which is widely used now is hash tags "#", how this managed to become popular i really don't know but never the less it does and it seems to be everywhere even when you look on a billboard in the street it has a hashtag on the advert. What do you guys think about the progression of social networking?

And have you ever used a hashtag?

RIght now, social networking is my job. Facebook, Twitter, Google+. Granted, I do it for marketing, but nonetheless, at leas tin the case of hashtags, it's very useful. It gives you a much broader spectrum to spread your business over, and hashtags help create a marketing "niche" for you, just to keep discussions and posts linked to the same general topic.

Only Facebook here. I go on there because I'm bored alot of time and some of my likes post some awesome Pokemon pictures. Although I have visited the twitter pages of some of the Dragonfable team to see their progress on certain NPCs/Quests/Locations/etc.

I don't like how some girls do the Psyduck face on Facebook and Instagram.

Or when guys try to pose like Machoke.

I don't really understand the whole point of it, it only gives you a small bit of giggles and it makes you look unattractive.

I have Facebook, Twitter (pretty much for getting an award for following YCMaker back around 2009-2010; forget when that happened) and MySpace (yes I actually have one).

That being said, I only use FB nowadays (forgot Twitter pass and MySpace, I don't know)

In terms of using FB, I use it to check up on my friends and updates on XY/some Pokemon game I play online away from this site. As for hashtags, I only use them for accessing chat channels for said game.

I tried getting into Twitter, but I wasn't feeling it at all. The interface was a little off-putting for me. Instagram's a no-go as well because I don't really take photos that often, nor do many of my friends.

I just lurk on Facebook nowadays. I really need to sit down and unlike all these pages that are spamming my newsfeed now.

Facebook: That's really the only major Social Network I use, and only to make snarky replies to photos or see what my family is up to.

Twitter: I rarely tweet, and when I do, it's usually only for WWE Social while I'm watching it.

Myspace: Remember when that used to be a thing before Facebook? I remember some friends having a page with music playing in the background, but I never considered making one. Now it's just something that Facebook outdated to me.

Tumblr: It was fun for a while, but now I never use it.

In a nutshell: Social Networking is completely pointless, but I use it occasionally when I'm bored.

Facebook; had it for 4 years, I tried to resist to use it until my friend said he could get a download link of Team Fortress 2.

Twitter is something, I feel, should be used by ppl with something interesting to say or is famous, I'm not either and even if I was famous, never will use it.

Tumbler is something I could do but I don't have use for it.

I didn't know of Myspace till I was in middle school and even then I didn't use it.

Facebook is all I need right now.

Never used: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. etc.

I really don't find them useful...tried Google+ once, but it's crap and getting crappier and crappier, so I dismissed it. The only "social network" I'm currently on is Youtube (which is getting crappier as well).

Yeah, youtube got integrated into google+, so now it's getting dragged down with it. try Skype, from my experience, It's better than facebook
