[spoiler=plot summary]

Since it's Halloween I figured I should discuss something Halloween appropriate. The Nightmare Before Christmas was one of Tim Burton's greatest works of his career. It combined the scary and frightening element of Halloween with the warm tenderness of Christmas and it is now played around both holidays. The movie is about Jack Skellington, known to the populous of Halloween town as "The Pumpkin King", and how he feels like he's stuck in a rut. Jack stumbles upon Christmas town and is fascinated how different and vibrant it is. When he goes back to Halloween Town he triesto introduce it to the citizens but they just don't get it. On that note he decides to take over Christmas for that year and Give Santa a break and has him kidnapped and placed elsewhere for safe keeping. Unfortunately JAck doesn't now that Santa ends up in the clutches of Oogie-Boogie, the movie's antagonist. Seeing that this is a bad idea Sally, a living doll who has feelings for Jack, tries to sabotage his Christmas but fails.  When Jack's Christmas idea fails he storms back to Halloween Town realizing the errors of his actions and saves Sally and Santa from Oogie.

I love this movie with a flaming passion. I grew up with it, and have loved it since i was little. My brother hated it but I absolutely love it. Its a really good story. A little dark, but still really good. It is Tim Burton after all.

I personally love the songs, notably Kidnap the Sandy Claws and This is Halloween, followed by Jack's Lament.

This is my favorite movie in existence. I own the special Collector's edition DVD, the VHS, yet oddly no apparel of it. I watched it about once a month or so, and I can recite the damn thing word for word. Not much particular discussion to be had, except that Danny Elfman fits perfectly with Chris Srandon as Jack. And that the game was a letdown.
