Custom Pokemon "Generation" Ideas (WIP)

I've asked around a few times if this kind of topic was legal, but I never received an answer, so... yeah, throwing caution to the wind here.

Anyways, this is merely my own personal Pokemon "Generation" (actually more of a Gen 6 "side-game"), mostly involving Gym Leaders, Elite 4, and other possible Trainer Classes (this may even include previous character cameos. NO, NOT PREVIOUS PLAYER CHARACTERS, SO DON'T ASK!). As for an actual setting... ... well, I'm not exactly the best at that kind of thing, but I'll try piecing something together.

Anyways... here goes nothing.

First off: The set of Starter Pokemon you get to choose from in the beginning will be based on a questionnaire taken when building your Player Character; for example, if you say that you moved to this Region (called "Reino", for now) from Unova, or say that you'd like to visit/move to Unova someday, your choices will be Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott.

Also, in addition to your gender, you get to choose your age group: pre-teen (appox. 10-12 years old), teenager (13-15) or young adult (16-18).

The Reino Region will be based on the South East part of the United States, primarily Florida.  It also includes an island based on Puerto Rico (a possible site for the Battle Facility of that region?).  In all, it's essentially an expy of the Hoenn region, being a tropical area that is around 50% water.

GYM LEADERS

Normal Type Gym Leader - Leon (painter/artist) - Canvas Badge (note: this Badge has paint splatters covering it, the color and placement of which are determined by your Trainer ID and Hidden ID)

Water Type Gym Leader - Sheila (Violinist) - Serenade Badge

Ground Type Gym Leader - Professor Bonz (College Professor/Archeologist) - Fault Badge

Fire Type Gym Leader - Carmen (Flamenco/Salsa Dancer) - Passion Badge

Fighting Type Gym Leader(s) - Russell (Wrestler) and Gabriel (Luchador) (Match is a Double Battle) - Tag Badge

Electric Type Gym Leader - Debita (DJ) - Pulse Badge

Steel Type Gym Leader - Marzell (Weaponsmith/Metal Worker) - Forge Badge

Dark Type Gym Leader - Kuro (Ninja) - Shadows Badge

ELITE FOUR MEMBERS (All members can be fought in any order)

Ghost Type E4 - Spencer (Soothsayer/Ghost Whisperer)

Rock Type E4 - (Motorcyclist) Charles

Fairy Type E4 - Luna (Magical Girl Cosplayer)

Flying Type E4 - Avery (Military Aviator)

POKEMON LEAGUE CHAMPION - [CLASSIFIED]
What I will say is that #1: This individual has a Starter Pokemon whose Type has an advantage over yours and #2: This individual is NOT your Rival in spite of #1

VILLAINOUS TEAM - Team Seraph (I was hoping to avoid the "GRAMPS" joke but, since Team Flare's introduction more or less disrupted it, I feel a bit less guilty for the name now). This group acts (emphasis on "acts") as a sort of volunteer group, helping many throughout the Reino Region, but in reality, their acts of good-will are merely a front. Doesn't help that most in the group itself are either oblivious to the Team's true goals or even brainwashed. This group is lead by a female, has about 3-4 named Admins, and two separate uniforms: an "angelic" attire for public appearances, and a more darker variation. In addition, one of these Admins, depending on the Version of the game, will either be a Mole sent to investigate the Team from the inside, or a Token Good Teammate who truly believes in the Team's facade.

BATTLE FACILITY AREA:  Either on the expy of Puerto Rico, or a facsimile of Disney World.

  • 4 weeks later...

What would be better if the Champion has the Starter that has a disadvantage to you, that you never saw during the game, but has a moveset that counters your started, such as you choose Charizard let's say and the Champion has a Venusaur, the Venusaur now has Rock Slide doing 4x Damage and screwing the player over.

EDIT: Didn't realise this thread was 3 weeks old -.-" oops.

Slight updates:

Finally decided on the order of the Gym Leaders: Normal, Water, Ground, Fire, Fighting, Electric, Steel and Dark

Included a Fairy Type E4: Luna.  Only one more Type to decide on, and I'm trying to avoid having a Dargon Type E4.

Decided on what the Region of Reino would be based on: The Southeastern part of the United States, primarily Florida, with some island-based towns (including one based on Puerto Rico)

Why not have Flying type E4 Member?
