Night
So much atrocious overlay. You're at the point where you seriously need to stop bullshitting your way through the process and actually invest some time in focusing your concepts and polishing the end product. Tormented
But I don't know how to polish my end product. When do you get to the point where you tell yourself to stop ruining the piece. It's difficult to tell where I'm going with anything, all this time I've taught myself almost everything I know I'm unsure where I'm going anymore. I mean I've made such differences within this year alone but you always go on about "Quality Control" and "Polishing" but how?

I think having her right arm outside the triangle would look nice. Overlay works well for the most part imo, for this piece specifically. The dress opacity might be a bit of an issue, but it could certainly work with the piece.
Tormented
The main issue I had with it was that the left arm really looked odd to put out of the triangle so I went with having them both out but I see your point, thanks for your input! ^^
Night
why doesnt anyone ever tell me this You probably don't realize it because at this point we've been doing it for 4+ years, 'shit comes naturally at this point. The way I see it is quite simple really; In Graphic Design, photomanipulation particularly, It's very easy for someone to claim it as "not art", and rightfully so if the piece isn't one of quality. If a traditional artist takes a certain medium, let's take pastels for example and an average canvas, they could very well just apply the assorted pastels onto the canvas with no real sense of proper execution and call it art. The same could be done with PS as the canvas and a shit ton of stocks as the medium, by randomly pasting shit onto a canvas and not taking into consideration the overall piece that you're trying to create, you are no longer creating art, you're simply using other peoples shit, overlaying atop some more shit and claiming you've made something. That fine line that exists in which you merge two mediums to create something of your own, that's skill, that's art.
