Kingdom Xathers
Okay, so I've been thinking again of my Custom Genereation 6.5, and I felt like throwing this idea out to you guys: The first Gym Leader of this Generation (a painter by the name of Leon, who specializes in Normal Types) uses two Pokemon in your first match against him: one "Com Mon", and a Smeargle, which is his ace and the one we'll be discussing. Basically, this Gym will be Genre Savvy enough to pull a Wake-Up Boss on you, that being the aforementioned Smeargle. Here's how: Yes, we know Smeargle has pretty abysmal stats, even compared to common unevolved Pokemon (only his Speed Stat is his saving grace), but due to Sketch, it can have basically any Moveset you desire. In this case, this Smeargle's Moveset would be as follows: Mud Shot Thunder Shock Gust Rock Smash Basically, this Moveset is used to counter most Pokemon Types you would have access to at this point (assuming, counting your Starter, these are the typical Early Bugs, "Pigeon" Flying and "Rat" Normal Pokemon, as well as the occasional (unevolved) Riolu). ... have I also mentioned that this Smeargle has the Technician Ability, and may or may not also be holding an Expert Belt? Now, I'd like to hear your thoughts on this. Would such a Smeargle be considered OP for use by the First Gym Leader of the game?

Cin
Caught Relicanth with a Deep Sea Scale which will prove useful. Added Shradow's FS to the OP. If Smeargle would stop failing with Sketch and struggling itself to death I might catch one... Saw the Zangoose/Seviper hordes. Funny to see the little snake get beaten by them. Asked on FB to see I can get Male HA Ivysaur (we can use for breeding) or a FS with one. Doesn't it depend on the father now? That way I don't need to keep restarting Y and can slow get exclusives. Notice how the Dex tells you if you need the Fishing Rod to catch or Surf. Gonna pair Butterfree up with Honedge's False Swipe to help me catch. I'm looking for any old Squirtle and Bulbasaur now to help fill my dex, I say any old because HA doesn't matter to me.

Also I'd like to mention that no extensive movepool can save Smeargle. Its stats are bad, except for speed. However, fair enough, at that point your Pokemon are weak as hell too. But that still doesn't justify the fact your 'wake-up call' isn't much of one at all. Maybe try putting him later. But I don't see why he shouldn't have Spore and Substitute
:^)
So far in X (Japanese) I have: Level 23 Frogadier (+DEF -SPE) Level 22 Ivysaur (NEUTRAL) Level 27 Combusken (NEUTRAL) Level 17 Zubat (+SpD -SPE) Level 15 Inkay (+SpA -DEF) Level 20 Tyrunt (+SPE -SpD) I'm about to get to the 2nd Gym, I hate my Zubat's nature and I'm quite happy with Inkay's, unless it turns into a Physical Powerhouse which I doubt. As a Crobat, it could still outspeed most things, but also will be hardy enough to survive things a "well trained" bat couldn't. Mine, during it's crowning moment of awesome, survived a 2Dragon Dance boosted Ice Fang against the Water Elite 4, and proceded to beat the Gyarados. Toffee.
Level 23 Frogadier (+DEF -SPE)Not to seem like a killjoy, but Froakie/Frogadier/Greninja is a bit of a speeder, so having a nature that hinders it is a little weird.ALTHOUGH the +DEF will come in handy, since Chespin's line is all ATK.That aside, though, your starter doesn't have a nature that hinders it's ATK OR SP.ATK, which means you can capitalize on either of those, due to the fact Froakie's line can wind up as either an attacker or a special attacker. Plus, it has at least 2 priority moves going for it. So your good to go.

And mine's Atk and SpA have pretty much equal the whole game, so he's got good options in that front. I'll be breeding for abunch of Drought Vulpix while I look for a Modest one, so if anyone wants any of the extras I could trade them for anything, really. I have been looking for a white Flabebe with absolutely no luck, though, if anyone has any one of those at a low level.
Cin
White aren't that bad. I need to check if I have one from one of random catching sessions, if yes you can have that. You're in luck. X has one. Luckily I didn't use the White one to trade for Ralts. +Spd, -Atk, +Spl Def. Lv 8. Is that low enough?
Shradow
Yeah, that's great, thanks. Though what do you mean by "+Spd, -Atk, +Spl Def"? Since Nature only affects 2 stats I'm not sure if you're talking about that or not. Anyways, when I've hatched abunch of Vulpix I'll trade one over, I'll PM you later. Cin
Usually I tend to play by myself. Negotiating on FB hopefully to get a HA Ivysaur/Wartortle. Still need 3rd FS frpm: Sasha - Fire Fionn Tentacruel Azuh Flame Dragon Kakashi Can start breeding Chlorophyll Bulbasaur's for anyone who wants (so they breed whatever they want on). Also I need a non HA Squirtle please =D since I probably couldn't get anything for a HA one.
~British Soul~
@Yin: I can catch a non-HA Wartortle since I have a Wartortle safari.
Shradow
I've been breeding Vulpix like crazy and have yet to get what I need. The only Modest one I've hatched had Flash Fire instead of Drought. >.>

Heh...Also Serebii has some of the official Sugimori artworks:This isn't all of them, but regardless, Trevenant's looks incredible.
