Flame Dragon
Now for an actual reason to post. I can't remember, do you get the Good Rod before Surf? My team is lacking a Water type and I want it to be Clauncher. Like right after. Its in the next town.
Blake
I feel compelled to say I caught a shiny Sandile... and I don't care that it's nature hinders it's Attack because I never battle online. I just Super Trained it's Attack for a bit so it's better than randomly getting mostly Sp. Atk or something through just playing the game. Also, I found an Old Amber in the 3rd rock I Rock Smashed this time, after not finding a single one last time. I feel epic (no I don't). Now for an actual reason to post. I can't remember, do you get the Good Rod before Surf? My team is lacking a Water type and I want it to be Clauncher. You get it after Surf (Upper Coumarine), but you get a Free Lapras from the guy on the route to CouMarine, pre-surfing.
Chiri Tsukikawa
I see, thanks. I guess that means I need a temporary HM slave for Surf. *notices another post* You get it after Surf (Upper Coumarine), but you get a Free Lapras from the guy on the route to CouMarine, pre-surfing. Is this Lapras one of the Pokemon I can send something to the box for, or do I have to make space first? (so I know and don't have to switch Pokemon afterward)

Chiri Tsukikawa
I see. I didn't really care which it was but I cared to know, like I said, so I don't have to go back and then go back to get it. Thanks for letting me know.

TheTurtleOnceCalledGod
It's a glass cannon, but still awesome all the same. Oh, and I repeat again, how does one obtain the Hatching O-Power?
Toffee.
Serebii says you get the hatching power from Lumiose City when you have 'Max Style'.Seems pretty straight forward. It's a glass cannon-Actually, no. It's only really Skrelp/Dragalge's speed that's lacking. Rest of their stats are fine.
-Berserker-
I only cursed for just an entire minute before discovering that an encounter with Articuno doesn't end my Poké Radar chain.
TheTurtleOnceCalledGod
I should know better than to face someone with my in-game team instead of an incomplete breading team... Was destroyed by another dragon team, should have included fairies.

Flame Dragon
Best way to EV train is vs. hordes. One move gives you +10 in what ever stat your training. I remember reading that we no longer get 255 EV in a stat rather than 252? Or is that only when your in the super training thing? Also, should I put the extra 4 EVs in SPE or Sp. ATK. At first I thought Sp. ATK, but SPE might be more helpful in the long run.
-Berserker-
Tried to fish a shiny. Decided to try in fresh water. 40 thundershocks and 15 ampharos levels later, I got a red Gyarados. Isn't that a classic?

~British Soul~
I should do that, just for the sake of the same result. Not gonna lie, I'm tempted to do it myself as well *Inside le Lost Hotel* Me: Let's see what's hiding in the trash can. *Garbodor appears* Bugger off *Soft resets* Me: Second time lucky... *Trubbish* *Soft rests* Me: Third time's the charm... *Rotom* Aww yiss At least if I fail to find a Banette on Thursday, I can soft reset until I find one. Seems like Super Training woud still be better. +12 in whatever stat you're training for only, like, 20-30 seconds of doing the challenge, if that. And you don't have to search around for a chance at doing it, unlike a hoarde battle.
The Warden
I REALLY don't get why the the S.Def training regime is harder than the Speed training regime, seriously now. The targets in the S.Def training are roughly 5x harder to hit than the Speed regime.
TheTurtleOnceCalledGod
Apparently, with the appropriate items, and pokerus, hordes outspeed super training by a lot.

Yea, had I had Pokerus it would have been getting 20 per battle. Yea, thats a ton since all I need to do is hit EQ/Surf/Etc
Shradow
Guess that's true. Searching out hoarde battles still seems like it'd use up more time than Super Training (especially since I've done it a ton and can ace the challenges really quickly), but I haven't actively tried to EV train that way so I can't say for sure. Who looks for them? Just use Sweet Scent. Always summons the hordes. When I was EV training I walked into the cave and spammed that until I used up all of EQ's PP.
