I just found a White Flower Modest Flabebe. <3

 

I don't know how rare the White Flower version is, but it's the first one I've seen in both of my runs, so I'm really happy to have it.

You're lucky. I couldn't even find one. I got red, orange, yellow but no white.

 

On the plus side I do have a shiny Kecleon.

So turns out Reset Bags aren't so rare. I EV trained people for most of yesterday and I came across 6.

So that's good.

 

I actually ended up using Talonflame for most of my run until I got Yveltal because I needed a Fire Type, but it only ever learned Ember/Flame Charge...

For the ten years I played roms, I got Pokérus like once. Now that I play in the 3ds, I got it via the GTS just a month ago in White 2, and yesterday in Y. This should be a lesson for how pandemias could come out of nowhere now that we can go to the opposite side of the world within the day.

Talonflame isn't that good, even with Gale Wings. 

 

The 4x Rock Weakness and poor defenses kill it. 130 Speed is nothing to scoff at, and it would be able to get off an Acrobatics / Brave Bird, but if you waste time with Swords Dance it will probably die.

 

Get the SD off and it can wreck, but, it has too many counters. I think Staraptor will continue to reign supreme among the region birds.

So it's not running two recoil STAB's is why I've seen people consider not running Brave Bird.

 

Also it's only really terrible because it's got such a low Base Attack Stat. If it were higher then it would be tonnes better, even with the stealth rock weakness.

And speaking of region birds, Pidgeot got its Speed raised to 101. 

 

Don't know who'd be better though, him or Talonflame. 

 

Talon is a faster, less bulky version. Being less bulky is horrid for it cause it has more weaknesses and 4x weakness to SR. However, Talon has Gale Wing as an ability whereas Pidgeot has to choose from Keen Eye, Tangled Feet, or Big Pecks. 

 

But Pidgeot has more bulk with 83/75/70 Defenses vs Talon's 78/71/69 and a lot less weaknesses and 2x SR. They have relatively the same Atk, Pidgeot with 80 and Talon with 81.

 

Pidgeot finally being able to outspeed things though is pretty awesome.

Wouldn't Choice Band (whatever the physical choice is) on Brave Bird spamming Gale Wings Talonflame be somewhat good? It'd still have many checks/counters.

But it'd be a pretty good choice in NU/UU wherever it lands.

At the very least, a really good revenge killer.
