Flame Dragon
@Berserker: If we're doing this by Pokemon Showdown stuff, I don't think you can use Sand Veil on Garchomp in OU (since it's still on the ban list; though instant sandstorm got nerfed this generation); even if you choose to Mega it. I could be wrong though. As a sidenote to Flame (if you're still reading this), if you still need the SpAtk cutting berries, I have them ready for you. Just need to set up a time that we can meet. (Think Kirito did the other stuff for you) I never received his FC yet. But when you're ready Flame, give me a suitable time so that everything can go smoothly, I was able to get the berries already. If you guys still want what ever it was that I offered I'm still more than willing to trade them. Anyway, Aegislash got banned by Smogon. This makes me sad since I don't think he was that good, but I can at least understand why people didn't like him being around. He is very good. LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
I haven't said anything in this thread in a long time (I don't really do much breeding or wifi battles). But Aegislash being banned? Not sure about that one. It has some fairly simple ways to work around it, but I suppose this just means a little shift in strategy. I wonder what's going to fill the void.
Trebuchet MS
Sad to see Aegi sitting in Ubers. My OU mono-ghost team will miss his presence.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
I haven't played with Aegislash, so can't really say why it got banned to Ubers. Put one way, it has offensive stats equal to that of Deoxys' normal forme (while it's in Blade Forme). Might also be due to priority off of it and King's Shield. I don't do many Wifi/Smogon battles either. I've been meaning to test one out myself; considering that people are still Wonder Trading them (might as well train one since another Ghost besides Gengar would be nice; otherwise need to resort to Gira and that thing has a Brave nature). Don't think I have any other Ghost Pokes though that are worth using, save for some Trevenant or Mismagius/stuff.

Aegislash pretty much got banned for the same reason Gen 4 Salamence was banned - several very good sets to predict off, and by the time you realize which set you're up against you're buried in a problem. Will it Swords Dance or attack immediately? Will it scout with King's Shield or let the Weakness Policy trigger? Will it attack into your switch or put up a Sub? Is it physical, special, or mixed? One misstep can screw over your hopes of taking down Aegi without losing a Pokemon that isn't a counter. Oh, and a little look on Smogon's list and NINE possible sets are listed for Aegislash. Heres the thing though, while it might have all those sets, +75% of Aegis use King Shield, Shadow Ball, and Shadow Sneak. Sacred Sword is used by over 60%. The next move clocks in at a little over 25%, that being Flash Cannon. The reality is you will more or less know what Aegis is going to use most of the time. Honestly, the frindge sets don't make it any different than T-Tar who can also run a TON of sets. If you also look at pure move useage T-Tar has almost 8 to Aegis' 5 at over 20% in useage. Agro
Yeah, idk. Aegislash has never been problematic at all to me. Blaziken & Mega Kanga both made sense to me just after facing them a few times, but Aegislash? idk
evilfusion
Aegislash is Uber now? Huh... I don't know how the Pokemon metagame works, so I've got nothing to comment on.
BehindTheMask
I do. What do you want for it? I got lots of stuff to trade. In most rulesets, can I use a pokemon with Sand Veil under a sandstorm, if I plan to Mega it (and change ability) during it's first turn on the field? Sand Veil is no longer banned, iirc, because Sand is no longer permanent, dont quote me though
Cobalt2
What do you want for it? I got lots of stuff to trade. I'm looking for certain odd egg moves at the moment. Could you breed me either a Kangaskhan with Endeavor or a Hippopotas with Whirlwind? I'd appreciate it if you could, but if not I suppose I could trade it for something else. Tentacruel
Guys, what would I have on a Flame Orb Conkledurr? Or is that not as viable anymore. Not sure if it should have 4 attack moves or bulk up.

Not sure if it should have 4 attack moves or bulk up. I'd suggest not using Bulk Up. Just because while you set up you'd be losing HP. It's probably better just to do all attacks. Flash Flyer - Sakura
What kind of team are you planning to use Conkeldurr in? Considering its base 45 speed, Trick Room is probably what you'd be using. As Cow already mentioned, you're going to be losing HP anyway, whether or not the Orb burns it away or opponent hits you hard; so just flat out hit. Guts should make up for the loss of Bulk Up's power boost. (Smogon doesn't list a set for an Orb set; and I usually don't use Conkeldurr given its speed and that I don't run a Trick Room team). As for moves, Drain Punch works well to restore HP lost from battle/Orb recoil (if you transferred it over from BW2 or something), Ice/Thunder Punch for Dragon-Types and other things; not sure of a fourth move, but Mach Punch should be there [to deal with other Pokemon]; though the existence of Talonflame/Mega Pinsir sort of counter this part, however [due to Gale Wings Brave Bird and/or Aeriliate Quick Attack or something). Could be wrong though.
Tentacruel
On that note, I might just run Assault Vest instead.
Flame Dragon
The staple moveset for Conkelder is Drain Punch, Ice Punch, Knock Off, and either Mach Punch or Stone Edge.

I've seen Revenge a lot. Also Poison Jab is a thing now because faeries.
Flame Dragon
Is it? I've seen Revenge a lot. Also Poison Jab is a thing now because faeries. IMO Drain Punch and Mach Punch are just better moves for it. You lose out on a ton of power, but getting the healing off drain and the ability to pick off weakened things with mach are just too good to pass up. As for Poison Jab I think the coverage you get with Knock Off and Ice Punch are just more vailable. I mean, you COULD replace Knock Off, but the move has so much utility. LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
Can't go wrong with Assault Vest Conkelder As for moves, Drain Punch, Knock Off, and Ice Punch for sure. Poison Jab could be nice, but a solid Ice Punch should do pretty well to Fairies. I'd suggest Mach Punch or Poison Jab, depending what your team needs. If you do go with the Flame Orb, then probably Mach Punch, if Assault Vest, it's a toss up for me.
Tentacruel
I think I'm SOL, I transfered it to X already but originally trained it before B/W 2 came out, so nada on Knock Off or Ice Punch. Might just wing it with other moves or use something else.
Elijah~
I'm thinking about running a Bellossom set. Now, I've already EV trained it and stuff ,and I know I should train it along with Ninetales (because of Heat Rock and Drought), but what set should I run on Ninetales? Specially Defensive or Standard Heat Rock Support?
~British Soul~
*Technically doesn't care about this atm as it's a North American distribution* Starting today until August 12th (in North America), to celebrate the launch of the new Pokemon Center online store, the special Pokeball Vivillon is available to download via mystery gift. Flash Flyer - Sakura
Not sure if I already got it, but otherwise I'll get it later. (Might've been that other one) Meaning I have to delete another Poke for it; OR I get parents to get me a 1-2 yr subscription to Pokebank so I can put stuff there and not have to do it. Airride
Does anybody have a 0 Speed IV Ditto they can trade? Could reeeeally use one for breeding Gyro Ball/Trick Room users. Also, Berzerker, I should finally be totally free tomorrow, so we can trade then, if you want.
