The usual Great/Ultra/Dusk Balls increase the chance of you actually getting said Poke [I remember in PBR that there were special effects for the type of ball used; though I never did that since mine were rentals and used the generic one). Dusk Ball is effective at night or in caves; otherwise you're better off using the general balls you can buy from the Pokemart.

Friend Ball increases the happiness level of said Poke [helps with Pokes that require a high happiness level to evolve].

Mine are in Dusk Balls most of the time b/c I end up doing stuff at night (most of the legendaries I have are Dusk Balls or something, except for Xerneas [Ultra on try 1; though I weakened it like usual] and my Latias [Master Ball b/c of laziness and time constraints]). Otherwise, they vary (in the case of legendaries, I generally waste about 20 - 40 Dusk/Ultra Balls; but I expect that considering their catch rate).

Thank you for explaining for me how to catch a Pokémon.

Things I learned today:
I'm bad at guessing switches.
I got bad luck with my Hydro Pumps and Fire Blasts hitting.
All my mons are slow.
Gliscor is a F***ING MONSTER.

I don't like using moves with 85% acc. I never want to use moves with 80%. 80% is SO bad.

Yea, Gliscor is a amazing pokemon.

That's nice.

Is it for all regions or just a certain part of the globe?

Guess I'll go post one of my Poke's movesets in X/Y. (It's my Latias's one)

Timid Nature

252 SPATK / 252 SPD / 4 HP

Life Orb/Choice Specs

Draco Meteor / Dragon Pulse (I have multiples, so for the most part, they have either/or [not both b/c Fairies will wall her badly]

Psychic (thinking of replacing it with Psyshock to deal with Blissey and other special walls)

Surf

Roost (HP recovery, also helps to mitigate Life Orb if I choose to use it)

Looking at it, I should probably put Calm Mind in there so I can boost special stats higher and not have to rely on Life Orb power ups as often. Physical attacks are still a problem, so make sure I have a strong physical Poke to handle that part + kill its counters. (I'd like to use Hidden Power, but the IVs give it some other Type that I don't need)

I thought so.

Rest of the world won't get it for a while [that should be enough time to get Pokebank and clear up space on the cartridge for Diancie [and any other breeding Pokes I want to do]). And we'll probably find out what Diancie's actual stat spread is [if the earlier hacks aren't already true]

After putting it off for a few weeks, I finally started a game on Y earlier this week. I'm currently at Geosenge Town and my team consists of Braixen, Wartortle, Lucario, Tyrunt, and Pikachu (all at Level 27). However, I was thinking about some stuff and I wanted some opinions.

I got a Thunder Stone; what is a good level to evolve Pikachu? Should I even evolve it into a Raichu? Or should I drop Pikachu and go with Jolteon? Or go with another (electric or non-electric) pokemon all together?

This is only an in-game team, but I am torn and was just curious on what everyone had to say about it.

I'd go with Jolteon because it has better defensive stats, faster and a higher attacking stat to work off of (110 sp atk v. 90 on Raichu)

Granted, Raichu has more of a mixed movepool but its offensives are lacking.

Though given that you have a heavy weakness to Ground moves with that team (except Wartortle), you may want to change some things around to minimize that.

New moves and stuff discovered through hacking:

It has been discovered through hacking that Hoopa's Ability is Magician and its stats are 80/110/60/150/130/70.

Volcanion's ability is Water Absorb and its stats are 80/110/120/130/90/70

Hold Hands, Normal-type, Status, Power: --, Accuracy --, PP: 40
The user and an ally hold hands. This makes them very happy.
Thousand Arrows, Ground-type, Physical, Power: 90, Accuracy: 100, PP: 10
This move also hits opposing Pokemon that are in the air. Those Pokemon are knocked down to the ground.
Thousand Waves, Ground-type, Physical, Power: 90, Accuracy: 100, PP: 10
The user attacks with a wave that crawls along the ground. Those hit can't flee from battle.

The latter two moves may have something to do with Zygarde.

Volcanion is incredibly OP especially considering its signature move.

Hoopa and Diancie seem a little weaker.

Thousand Arrows and Thousand Wave are both fantastic moves and if they get any sort of distribution they're probably both worth running over EQ. If they're Zygarde-only that is disappointing but gives a little bit of a buff to Zygarde I guess.

Looking for Houndoom's mega stone, willing to trade HA Bulbasaur, HA Froakie, HA Eevee or HA Fletchling.

I can trade it for the bulbasaur if you want. also, I'm still looking for tyranitar stone if you have one, I can trade you something in addition to the stone you want.

Both of those thousand moves are boss. Please let them be accessible by breedable pokemon.

....Is what came to mind while reading Holding Hands. I think something like that; It would be like a temporary defense raise and can endure wide-range attacks like Earthquake and Surf.

Off the side, I won against The Twelfth Doctor in Flame Drag's Tourney. The code is:  2V2G-WWWW-WWW6-PUJZ

It is perhaps the biggest clutch victory and comeback I have ever done. Thank you priority and traps...
