Pokemon X & Y (Post Launch)

If you use them I suppose they're not. Haven't used Electivire since BW2 (first playthough) and Magmortar since DPPt.

Gonna have Greninja, Zoroark, Arbok (because I can), Houndoom, Crobat and no idea. Run the whole Psychicing Zoroark thing again.

Serebii have more info:

- Electabuzz

Item: Electirizer

Ability: Vital Spirit (HA)

Moves: Low Kick, Shock Wave, Light Screen, Thunder Punch

Magmar

Item: Magmarizer

Ability: Vital Spirit (HA)

Moves: Smokescreen, Fire Spin, Confuse Ray and Fire Punch.

- Serial code given out in multiple locations (Serebii has list of locations). Download must take place before September 30th.

- Events confirmed for UK (4th April-Unknown), Spain (April 14-June 1), Portugal (14th-30 April), France (From April 14-Unknown), Belgium (14th-30th April), Germany (14th April-Unknown), Italy (14th April - Unknown), Australia (11th April-May 11th)

Pointless if you ask me, Magmar and Electabuzz can be both found in Friend Safaris, but atleast it's something.

Greninja will be in my next team, seen a cool plush of it I want and brought a cool figure. So Dark it looks like.

Finally, an event in the UK. Looks like a pattern is emerging that all future distributions (at least in the UK) at least will be serial coded, probably to stop distribution devices being sold off after events, now with Wi-Fi fully integrated into the 3DS. I found 3 Gen 4/5 cartridges going for £230+ each!

I heard 'bout that earlier, and it was very amusing indeed.

Yeah I actually have Google Maps on my phone so I took a moment to go look at it. And . . . yeah . . . this isn't going to be just some contest anyone can enter despite what Google says. For instance I can't get the thing to work because, I assume, I have to fly all the way to the Galapagos Islands to begin "my quest",

So unless they make it so that it's closer I'm out of the contest practically from the starting line. Thanks for the "fair play" Google (>3>)

I don't have Google Maps on my phone, but I figured Google would do that, make an app that "anyone can use", but in reality not anyone can use it.

Okay I actually did a bit of research, thanks to JWitz, I learned that it's nothing more than a point-and-click capture game. So to put it plainly, the 3D viewing and capturing is ALL A GIMMICK! You just point and click. Point and click. Scroll through the literal world map and find the random Pokemon. Then point and click.

Talk about over hyping it with the video.

I can't trade today. My 2DS can't connect to the internet where I am right now.

Alright then, I can wait a day or two.

Also, the news of not being able to get a HA Totodile/ Cyndaquill, Is truly heartbreaking. But at least I know now.

Meowth was literally a few blocks from where I'm at. I started walking there looking up how to catch it.

As you can imagine, I was disappointed. It would have been so cool if you actually had to do what that video does.

Point-and-click was interesting, but it's so strenuous and boring that I gave up after 15 minutes and 37 mons caught. Cool idea, tho.

Yea, I'd REALLY like a HA Totodile, but sadly they aren't out. It also means I need to wait to train up one which makes me sad since I don't want to raise two.

Main problem with HA Feraligatr is its physical movepool to make use of it. I mean it has stuff and it's cool to use it, it's just nothing... abusable.

It'd be cooler if it worked with things like Superpower or Outrage. :(

Best choices I saw out of it was something like Waterfall (base 106), Brick Break (100), Rock Slide (100), Crunch (106), Ice Punch (100), & Iron Tail (133).

Water and Ice make for a nice Stab Combo and Dragon Dance would be the 3rd move. My guess is Crunch would be the 4th move with Brick Break as a secondary option.

Serebii cut through the whole google maps

Earlier today, Google went live with a special promotion, as part of their April Fools Prank, for Google Maps users on iOS and Android. In this, you have the ability to find up to 150 of the Pokémon, 25 in each generation, all around the world and your task is to capture them all. There appears to be no reward for doing so at the moment. Be sure to check it out

In that case, superpower looks like it'd still be better than brick break since its base power is still higher than brick break (unless the stat drop is against your preferences). Also It at least has a strong STAB in waterfall to handle things that might try to wall it. And after a life orb boost + dragon dance, Feraligaor would have enough power and speed to OHKO almost anything that doesn't resist its moveset..

Brick Break is more reliable. Also, it is very important to note the free Life Orb since Sheer Force prevents the damage.

Well since it would want to stay in for more than one attack after setting up DD I think that the stat drops would be a problem.

Either way, Crunch would be better I think, if only for something like Trevenant.

Also, holy crap I actually posted something relevant on this after lurking for weeks.....

Trevenant already gets iced by Ice Punch. Though I do think Crunch is the best 3rd attack for Forcegator.

You know, I think I'd feel a lot better about Feraligatr if virtually everything he had wasn't resisted by Azumarill.

Don't some Charizard X run only Fire and Dragon moves in terms of type coverage meaning they are walled just as badly. Don't get me wrong, X is much, much better, but being walled by something isn't the end of the world. Odds are Forcegator would be decently high UU.

Most Charizard X i've seen who only run Fire & Dragon moves don't run Dragon Dance (besides the off-chance Rooster). That means they don't lose the boost off a switch if they get walled.

I just really wish Feraligatr knew Thunderpunch. :(

My current idea for feraligatr is DDance, Waterfall, Ice punch, and superpower or crunch on it, but yeah, I'd love to have something to take out the ones that resist it, but on the bright side, even though azumarril can wall feraligatr, it can be easily outran (and often killed) by virtually anything you feel safe switching into it.

On the funny side, I used gengar from my black in an online battle and got free laughs out of OHKOing a dragonite with Icy wind. Nobody ever expects it

Um......Az normally runs Aqua Jet, and Aqua Jet from it hurts.
