Pokemon X & Y (Post Launch)

I did do a lot of Ditto hunting previously, although I don't have one of all the natures. I also only use certain natures frequently, and before getting my 6 IV Ditto, I had to do more creative cross-breeding to get superior IV pools, which usually let me get the natures I wanted without relying on specific Ditto natures. And I do tend to breed a single egg for nature if I switch Ditto, and use that egg (and its superior offspring) with my good Ditto from then on.

I'm almost certain your 6 IV Ditto is the same as my 6 IV Ditto. That thing gets around. What I would do before I got it was use my current 5 IV guys that had the same IV I wanted my new pokemon to have and used them to breed.

There's always Synchronize. It creates a 50% chance for the enemy Pokemon to have the same nature as the Synch Pokemon

Problem with Synchronize is that you still need to gather up all the natures. I'd rather just do that with Ditto.

I did find a shiny Cubchoo in hordes, but I skipped over it b/c I was doing SP ATK training at the time and trying to kill the other four Cubchoo was detrimental (don't think I had that many Kelpsy Berries at the time to undo them). Think I forgot which one was the shiny as well [should be obvious that it was darker, but in past now].

I regret skipping it now.

I rarely ever can find shinies legit (pancham, beldum, klink and skitty were the only ones for the past few generations.) I'm breeding for a shiny own tempo liligant for now though Hoping my luck changes for the better.

I've only ever caught one Shiny myself; although it was a good one. Darkrai. The one from the member card event in 2009 for Platinum. The odds must have been astronomical, and I almost lost it. God know how I caught it in a premier ball.

I now have a sizable shiny collection on X, with 3 being on my team because they look awesome enough.

On Team: Onyx (Umbreon), Aventurine (Hydreigon), Electrum (Luxray)

In Shiny Box: Chandelure, Tamamao (Ninetales), Event Gyarados, Charizard, Spiritomb, Sherbert (Vanillite w/blue pentagon), Sylveon, Umbreon (blue pentagon), Zoroark (blue pentagon), Torterra, Event Golurk, Event Eneti x3 (poor things ain't very popular and I've been stuck with them since), Event Raikou.

Legendary Menagerie: My Darkrai, Movie Event Genesect, Conquest Rayquaza, Event Giratina.

In other news, Pokecheck plans to have a functional version for Generation 6 by the end of the month. If so, unfortunately it means the "hackers" will be right on their coattails.

Yeah, they'll just use it to generate a code that passes Nintendo's checks on the game. (Though Wondertomb and Eye aren't completely immune anymore b/c of Fairies but yeah. Not sure what other things people do.)

Though it is nice for the rest of us to check if any Pokes we have are going to be blocked from transferring into future games.

You're the one I gave that Ninetails to? I was wondering what happened to it. Ah well, at least I now know I didn't accidentally leave it in the bank.

In other news, I've now learned that you can't use transfer unless you have bank. No idea why I thought otherwise, but I now need to go and get a new subscription.

Same here.

I need that subscription because my X cartridge is stuffed to the max as is (hence I can't even dump stuff on GTS) and I have some legendaries left on White 2 I never moved over yet. Once I move things out, then I can start breeding my Anticipation Eevees and other stuff that I'd like to do but can't because of space issues.

Other option is to buy another 3DS (with Y in it and just trade with myself at this point), but that's expensive. Better ask parents for some money to fund Bank usage (not sure if X/Y sequels will allow you to transfer Pokes from the original versions using 1 3DS; I know the lab in B2W2 requires another DS)

If I stop feeling lazy, I'm gonna empty X's boxes onto Bank and then breed for Shinies for the Pokes I have to get Shinies, I think I can go for Serperior, Dragonair (I don't love Dragonite), Houndoom and Metagross, so that will take time.

That's one thing I've been doing with Bank lately. My in-game boxes tend to get filled really fast when I'm mass-breeding, and I can't be bothered to release all my Pokes individually. So I tend to release the truly useless ones as I breed them (bad nature if pre-Everstone, IVs worse than 4 perfects, IVs that I have too many of that combination, as I tend to go for two of the desired IVs, one being used to improve the odds of getting more of that combination. and one fresh for raising).

Since I didn't empty all my boxes, I do carry a lot of regular Pokemon captured during the playthrough, and a bunch of Pokemon I eventually plan to breed good versions of. So I tend to shove the mass-rejects into Bank for a while.

I feel so behind. I only just got a 3DS and Pokemon Y these past few days for my birthday and I haven't even started up a game yet. Oh well, I plan on doing that soon. I do plan on getting into competitive battling and all that jazz once I beat the game since I never did get into it the past few gens so I'll probably end up coming here if I have any questions since you all seem pretty knowledgeable when it comes to all of that stuff.

Anybody else hoping they make a way to direct deposit eggs into the Pc instead of having to go all the way back to the nursery to get them?

Yeah, that'll help especially when I can't be constantly putting my team Pokes in the box just to go get them from the Daycare Man, only to switch them out again and try to hatch them later when free.

I'd hope that they extend the amount of boxes to around 40 or something in the future (provided the game cartridges can handle the extra stuff), but it's unlikely.

Eliminate, make sure you do both of the updates first one will fix a known bug in Lumiose and one will fix GTS bugs. (I don't know if Nintendo have preloaded them on now).

If I'm breeding I will only have Talonflame (Flame Body) in my team anyway, so I'm not too bothered about eggs.
