America hasn't done too bad for events either (well 2 more than everywhere bar Japan), leaving the Rest of the World to get just Torchic. I would have loved the Shiny Genesect only Japan got and a Legit Darkrai would be good
Sakura if you're on from 6:30pm GMT today or tomorrow, I can provide all those, I'd need to rebreed, but given I have an Archen to hatch again I'm not too fussed about breeding again for myself.

I'm GMT -10, so that would correspond to 8:30 AM in my case (I'm usually away from net at that time b/c of stuff on weekends; I should be on around that time on weekdays, depending if I can get access to the internet on 3DS at college [it works]). Otherwise, I'm in no rush for them if you're busy on the times I can log on (since I do need to get rid of Pokes in boxes first).

 

Anyway, it's a late response but replying to FD's suggestion of a tournament, I'm for it but we do need to set a ban list / rules on stuff that's allowed/banned.

maybe, I'm not sure how much of a threat he actually is, since I never usually have problems with him, but if enough people deem him and his friends (blastoise and venasaur) problems, then yeah, they might as well be.

The reason he might not be as much of a problem is because his lack of speed + priority. gengar and kahn have high speed and priority to respectivlymatch their new powers, but zard is still beaten by most, if not all of his old checks. as for lucario, I haven't faced him, but if I recall correctly, he still has access to stab bullet punch.

That feels a little to arbitrary. A lot of things can get over 600 without being overly strong.

I'm fine with banning something if enough reason is given. I just think hitting a certain point threshold is a loose way to go about things.

There are a couple of Pokes that reach 600+ BST but they have qualities that prevent them from being deemed as broken.

• Obvious ones are Regigigas/Slaking (w/out Slow Start and Truant, then yeah ban them on target). Though depending on how we're running this (Singles or Doubles, might have to.)
• Normal Kyurem has a good amount of common weaknesses (Fighting / Dragon itself / Fairy / etc), plus its speed is average compared to a lot of stuff in OU. Black Kyurem (while having 170 base ATK, which is obviously nothing to laugh at) has few options to use with it, and shares problems with the normal form. White one has better stuff though, so probably reason why it's Uber.

Like everything else, even Uber-level Pokes can be beaten but just that they're harder to find/kill than unbanned stuff. But I agree, basing it on a BST threshold is loose and does end up banning Pokes that aren't broken yet. (If the Eon twins had their Soul Dew in X/Y, then we'd have to ban it)

Lucarionite got a 96% vote to ban it, according to GameFAQs.

Other two, I already saw in the past. (Gengarnite gave it Shadow Tag, which why Wobbuffet got banned to Ubers a couple generations ago [especially with 170 SP ATK / 130 SPD to deal with whatever it's trapping])

My bad, I was using that as a general reference. Didn't mean all, just any that might have gained unfair advantages by way of their megas. (the aforementioned gengar and kengaskahn)

Also, I just went out and caught over 4 boxes worth of shinies and legends on heart gold just to have fun wonder trading them later, but before I do that, does anybody want anything from those games (specific moves from tutors or anything) that aren't on X&Y?

I would agree that we use the Smogon X/Y ban list for a tournament, with the additional rule that all legendaries are banned, much like how official tournaments are run. Pseudo-legend are OK. As for prizes, I'll put up Arceus for first, A shiny member of the creation trio for second and Nobunaga's Shiny Rayquaza for third place. I'll also offer up a Ralts bred from my Gallade, Malachite, as a entry gift.

 

And for how this would work would be simple. Single elimination with one battle per pairing. Battles are recorded and uploaded, with the code submitted on the forum for adjudicators to verify.

Today I met a kid who saw me playing Pokemon and told me he also had Pokemon Y. He wanted to trade and...frankly I gave him a lot of good Pokemon (Feraligatr, Torterra, Poliwrath, Metagross) and I got a HA Adamant Electabuzz, Super Luck Murkrow, and an Adamant Golem wit ha free Black Belt. He had no idea I was in a way riping him off but he seemed happy and I didn't care since I completed my dex. We then battled and using the new Pokemon I gave him he tried battling me and I swept him with Bisharp and Scrafty.

 

He was still a young kid who wanted to collect some good Pokemon, and he was never disappointed at all during that time, but it looks like I'll be his Pokemon senpai at this point.

 

And off the side I still have a lot of breeding rejects, so if anyone wants any Pawniards, Hippopotas, Whismur, or Rotoms...

Got lazy and have only begun on Victory Road again oh yay. Happy Rampardos is in the Erratic phase of being the fastest leveler given the fastest anyway was Medium Fast, that wasn't hard (past it at around 51 anyway) Overleveled as sin team is Lv 70.

Awe, that's kinda sweet. Over here, you would be branded a freak for even talking to a random kid about Pokemon. Try teaching him some more advanced stuff to help his Pokemon, such as EV and IVes if you see him again.

I know a kid that wants Arceus or some other Pokebank stuff (think I mentioned him in passing a few posts back). I just happened to see his face in Passerby during offline mode (he asked if we could exchange FCs; I agreed to it). I feel good about it, since his Safari has Charmeleon / Braixen / Growlithe (latter I was looking for some time on GTS at that point). 

 

Occasionally if I happen to be using the online function on X at home and we're both on, sometimes he wants to use the chat function on X (yeah, the DS equivalent of Skype or video chat). Twice, he's asked me to battle him in 1v1 mode (which I accepted); not sure if he knows about EV training or abilities (since he did tell me that a lot of Pokes were borrowed from friends or he got them off some random Japanese person); he probably does.

 

Both of us were using legendaries during the recent one (in my case, my imported Pokebank stuff like Reshiram/Latias and some other stuff), but I swept him with mine 6-1 in the recent battle. Though it would help if the server didn't keep shutting down in the middle, as I had to reboot the net and send the battle request again (and explain what happened). During battle though (chat is still on at that point), he asked where I got my team from; replied that I got them from Pokebank (assuming he got them also if any). At one point, he did try to use Sheer Cold on me (though it missed and I killed his Poke after).

 

Going back to first thing, I told him he can try searching for the other legends he wants on GTS but just expect people to want stupid stuff for them. (We had a mini convo about that)

 

 

Now I just have to do the Battle Maison challenge, clean out my boxes [because I can't catch/breed any more Pokes until some are deleted or shipped off to Pokebank if I ever buy that subscription], EV train the rest of the Pokes that I care to use and finish the dex (after #2 is done). Horde training does help a lot better than Super Training (I kept a Pokemon with active Pokerus in team, so everything I'm training has it now so makes things go a lot quicker)

Clearly, I need to buy a lottery ticket. The Snivy egg was a 6 IV perfect. The VERY FIRST Torchic egg was a shiny. Unfortunately, its IVs, Nature, and lack of Speed Boost sucked, but seriously...

After finally grinding enough BP to get my Ability Capsule for my shiny Starmie, I decided to return to breeding for awhile. I still had a Snivy egg waiting for me, so I picked it up, then put in my Speed Boost Blaziken.
 
Clearly, I need to buy a lottery ticket. The Snivy egg was a 6 IV perfect. The VERY FIRST Torchic egg was a shiny. Unfortunately, its IVs, Nature, and lack of Speed Boost sucked, but seriously...

How is the nature an issue? This is something that bugs me since when I get level 1 pokemon with horrible natures it just confuses me. Just use everstone to lock the best nature. Hell, I have a Ditto with every good nature just sitting in my box to change natures as I need to.

Because my good Ditto is Modest and the Blaziken was Naughty, neither being desirable for inheriting in Blaziken's case. If I don't have a Ditto with the desired nature, I breed a few eggs without using an Everstone and sometimes strike gold on their natures, without needing to switch parents multiple times. But in this particular example, I didn't bother switching Ditto because I was more interested in breeding for the Hidden Ability.

 

I'm going to remind you that my FIRST egg was a shiny. The other times I've gotten shinies by breeding (my two Staryu), I had already locked the nature, and just hadn't gotten the IVs perfect yet. So nature was a problem because I hadn't really begun breeding for quality.

Ok, I figured you would have had some reason for it. Personally, I think investing in a full/near full set of Dittos to change natures as you need is just a major time savor in the long run. Granted I have breed like 42 pokemon at this point so my constant breeding has had me needing the Dittos should I need to fix the nature.
