The Warden
It does sound pretty cool. I remember the original way to get the other Secret Bases was through that Data Exchange thing. Granted, I do hope they up the number of Pokemon you can find. Not for nothing Hoenn, but your variety of (good) Pokemon was pretty shite.

Not for nothing Hoenn, but your variety of (good) Pokemon was pretty shite. I reckon there'll be at least 210 pokemon in the Hoenn dex (The 202 Hoenn dex +8 pre-evolutions/evolutions), although the chance of more pokemon is there as well (That aside, I agree, the amount of "good" pokemon in the Hoenn dex wasn't that great), and they'll add an area where Nosepass and Magneton can evolve as well as place an Ice Rock in Shoal Cave and a Moss Rock in Petalburg Woods. Flash Flyer - Sakura
Right. What shinies does everyone have at the moment then? On-topic with XY stuff, I have a Moxie Gyarados from Friend Safari (forgot which of you guys it came from, think Airride), Audino (imported from 2nd run of W2) and Wailmer (traded for it) As for Hoenn remakes, would be nice to see them. (Same with Sinnoh, considering what'll happen in 2 months with their online service)
Agro
Hopefully it's like HG/SS and we get Sinnoh as well in the same game. I mean that originally it was only 1 region anyway, plus there would be no way to link the two areas given they weren't originally put together like Kanto and Johto was in GSC. Also Sinnoh is geographically located on the complete other side of Kanto and Johto from Hoenn, so that would be a significant problem. Right. What shinies does everyone have at the moment then? A Parasect from FireRed, a Ludicolo from Emerald, a Seviper from Y, and a Pidgey from FireRed that I was forced to catch with a Master Ball because I had nothing else. Geez, I don't get much luck with Shinies outside of Kanto and Hoenn, do I? I reckon there'll be at least 210 pokemon in the Hoenn dex (The 202 Hoenn dex +8 pre-evolutions/evolutions), although the chance of more pokemon is there as well (That aside, I agree, the amount of "good" pokemon in the Hoenn dex wasn't that great), and they'll add an area where Nosepass and Magneton can evolve as well as place an Ice Rock in Shoal Cave and a Moss Rock in Petalburg Woods. We'll at least get a kickass battle frontier. Chances are they implement most everything they upgraded in Emerald and pretend it was all in Ruby/Sapphire. I doubt they add more pokemon outside evolutions and such. Anyway, I still need help with my team for XY if anyone can help. Here's what I'm working with: Galvantula for Sticky Web/Volt Switch Greninja for U-Turn/Special Sweeper Gliscor for U-Turn/bulk MegaCharizard Y for da powa Excadrill to Spin Last spot I've been debating, but I'm pretty sure it'll probably end with Trevenant because I need a SpinBlocker who can also try to wall a little & maybe even put up a fight. -Berserker-
Only recently did I discover that a Speed Boost pokemon doesn't get the boost the turn I switch it in. Still, Weakness Policy Scolipede is very fun, even if it's not effective.
◇ Void ◇
Also Sinnoh is geographically located on the complete other side of Kanto and Johto from Hoenn, so that would be a significant problem. You know I've heard of a marvelous new intention called a boat, which allows people to get across water. Seems to be as good as these odd bird-like machines that can fly people ACROSS THE PLANET. /scarcasm off. But in seriousness, planes and boats exist in the Pokemon universe. In B2/W2 you can fly a plane to the Nature Reserve, which is in a region far away from Unova. I see no reason why a new route for each region could lead to an airport or major port, allowing the player to travel between them. Anyway, I still need help with my team for XY if anyone can help. Hmm. Why not invest in a Umbreon like mine? Toxic for poisoning the enemy, synchronize and heal bell to deal with the same strategy, wish to heal your team and the little things can withstand a good few direct hits. Plus Umbreon is a great looking Pokemon, especially a shiny like my precious Onyx.

And you'd go to Sinnoh instead of the closer regions of Kanto and Johto becaaaaaause...? Sinnoh won't be in a Gen 3 remake. They wouldn't put in every region into a new game, either. The system wouldn't be able to handle it. Hmm. Why not invest in a Umbreon like mine? The 8 extra pokemon I was talking about were evolutions/pre-evolutions of pokemon already in the Hoenn Dex. Also, I agree with the first point too as I'm sure that the remakes would follow what was implemented in Emerald and more, like how HGSS had stuff from Crystal with extras. The Warden
Like an actual Safari Zone? I can't remember why they didn't add it to the originals. I think it was either time, or they just didn't have the space for it on those teeny weeny Gameboy cartridges. I wonder how they're going to ratchet in Mega Evos since they're a thing now. Btw 12th, if you still have the Arceus, I just remembered that I also have a shiny Arcanine.

Flash Flyer - Sakura
Just finished uploading half of the legendaries from White 2's third run. (Though had to send some Eevees I don't use and other stuff to bank; need to ask parents to put some money into Nintendo account for bank by tomorrow). For legendaries to catch by then: Heatran, Kyurem, Cresselia, Regirock/Regice, Lake Trio. The catchable Swords, Reshiram and Latias (3rd copies of each) are already transferred. (All of the Swords have at least 115 total IVs, Latias is 131, Reshiram is 108; not too bad) On a possibly related note to the Transporter/Bank, anyone run into problems with the naming censor? (As noted above, I transferred some Pokes [which have Japanese names], but one of them got it stripped because some parts apparently are inappropriate in the other languages it's released in. It was Virizion named Chikako [JPN, very fragrant child] if you're curious)
The Warden
Right, anywho, since as of now I have 6 hours left on my Bank trial, I am gathering all the legends and/or special pokemon from my W2 to X. As such I will have an extra set of the Lake Trio, Regirock and Regice, Latias & Heatran. Plus 12th, would you be interested in a Shiny Haxorus or a Shiny Arcanine for Arceus? ~British Soul~
What shinies does everyone have at the moment then? Cin
I only ran into Bank problems when I decided to name my character Baka...no idea why I called the character Idiot. Shinies: Rattata Arbok (From a friend) Gloom Geodude Drowzee Lickitung Linoone Loudred Bronzong (From a Friend) Lucario (From a Friend) Darkrai (Hacked by a friend, but passed the filter) (Event Shiny: Giratina and Dialga, traded Palkia, Suicune and Entei away) Bar asking a friend for Arbok and Darkrai (I didn't expect it to be hacked), everything else was pure luck. Flash Flyer - Sakura
I found out why my Virizion got its name stripped. (Based on that page about Gen 5 words on Bulbapedia, the Chika part of its name forms some words that relate to explicit stuff), though it said it only affects names that are exactly the same as said words [mine aren't, but can't do anything about it now that it's inside X]. That's about it, I guess. As for shinies (aside from the three I listed earlier), I have a few other ones (mainly event legends and other stuff). Yeah, I don't actively hunt for shinies. Trevenant would complete a FWG core w/ Greninja and Char Y. Harvest is also 100% in the sun as well. If not that Id choose something with Stealth Rocks to help combat opposing Char Y, and more importantly M-Pinser/Talon Flame. I fear that w/ priority, that Greninja is too frail to revenge kill either of them. Also, Rocks helps against WP Dragonite as well as Volcarona. Flame Dragon
Trying to find a Speed Boost Carvanha on the GTS. Found one for a pokemon I had put in bank and by the time I got back it was gone. Since then all the pokemon I put in while asking for a Speed Boost Carvanha keep getting traded for ones without. Since I've been using some of my extra Turtwig I went to see what the market for him was like. Almost every one was looking for a legendary. People are dumb. Thank you vla1ne for the Mamo. Time to breed.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
That's why I hate GTS at times; people make stupid wants for even the most basic of Pokes. (I would like to say they're cloning, but why would you want to clone something like Scatterbug when you find one frequently on Route 2)? Heck, people want event stuff for Unown (and I consider it to be one of the worst Pokes in existence). If you were cloning legends, then yeah probably. Even for basic legendaries, people want event stuff for them (i.e. I want one of the legendary beasts, they want Jirachi/Deoxys or even Arceus). Mind you, I have all legends now so just need the regular things. Though, there are SOME reasonable people who know what stuff is worth + don't go over that threshold. Βyakuya
Well it's a good thing I never need to use GTs again. *kisses Shiny Charm* IRL I have less than 24 hours until my Pokebank trial runs out, so I'm doing last minute transfers, and it's a pain in the arse to try to get a Hippopotas to know Stealth Rock...why can't you just stick to being a TM...and right after that I'll have to breed it for Whirlwind. Eliminating a sufficient amount of HP from Talonflame or Charizard is always delicious. The tad of HP makes a difference. BehindTheMask
Do you think I'd be better off with a Smeargle over Galvantula and then try to use Gligar in a more stall-oriented set? While Smeargle has more utility, he is extremely frail. the problem with him is that he only gets 2 layers of hazards up before dying usually. Which sucks when they have Defog or Spin cuz you will be down 5 to 6 for nothing. Deo-D is better because his bulk makes him hard to kill, gives multiple chances to set up hazards and can possibly use Knock off to support the team. Depends on how you want to shape the team to be honest. If you wanna keep Galvantula, you should be wary of Bisharp users as they love Sticky Web for the free +2. Conkeldurr resists Sucker Punch though, and can hit it w/ x4 mach/drain punch. Its a great check to Rotom W if you put an Assault vest and Guts, because it can take a Hydro Pump and put pressure on it. Will-O-Wisp doesn't bother him. the Good thing about Tevenant though is in Sun it recycles Sitrus/Lum(if you run rest) berries like its job. It gives it great longevity between Sitrus, Leech Seed, and Horn Leech. can spread burns via will-o-wisp which obv cripples phys attackers. If you go Natural Cure on it, Rest + Switchs is great, becomes another Status absorber to keep your Char Y from being paralyzed/toxic'd. it Spin blocks too which is nice Both Pokes are good though, Id personally drop Galvantula(because of Bisharp is really popular), and get a Rock setter, and trevenant who is specially bulky w/ willowisp. This will balance out your team, and give it more longevity via Trevenant Skarm is great as it provides Rocks, can phaze and wall stuff in general Personally, id go -1 Galvantula +1 Skarm +1 Trev. on your trevenant remember this "Tyranitar is only 10 points faster than Trevenant. Scizor is only 16 points faster. Both of these Pokemon are at #9 and #13 in overall usage, and are some of the most popular threats in the meta right now. They're also important burn targets, and without a burn, they're a threat to Trevenant."(TAKEN FROM SMOGON)

The common set runs no speed so you should invest 56 EVs into speed to guarantee that you outspeed Ttar at least (Also covers the possible speed creep that some ttars might have). The Will-o-Wisp is extremely important if you are running a special variant. Here is a calc to show you just how important it is. 252+ Atk Tyranitar Crunch vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Trevenant: 372-438 (99.4 - 117.1%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO
