Lucarionite got banned(finally), which is a great thing. I've been testing Chestnaught competitively and goes great in my FWG core of Char X, rotom - w , and chestnaught.

I haven't been keeping up with the news, exactly how many stones are banned in competitive?

I know for certain Kangaskhanite is banned in OU (b/c it was too strong for even Skarmory or some other physical walls to tank).

Everything else, not too sure about.

Megaskhan's Power-Up Punch vs Max DEF Skarm: 12-14% + 18-21% = 30%-35%. Next turn min damage will be 53%. With SR Skarm will likely die meaning it can' switch even. Even if it didn't at best you can force it out and Skarm will die to almost anything.

Side from that Megagar is also banned.

I expected mega kahn and gar to get banned, after seeing them both in action, they're pretty much fully blown legendaries. still, I'm surprised the tyranitar mega isn't on the list, I haven't seen him used yet, but from the damage and tanking my normal tyranitar does without items, I'd expect megatar to be pretty high on the tier list.

Based on Smogon logic (whatever I read in their latest issue), Megatar isn't overwhelming like regular Tyranitar with Life Orb, Choice Band or whatever it was seen with during the BW era (even though base 164 atk is nothing to laugh at). Might be reason why Tyranitarite isn't banned, but I don't know (should still be in OU for Gen 6 for now, until sequels are out and say otherwise).

I should try Mega Kangaskhan one of these days (except for the fact I'm running out of box space to breed new ones, but I have some Japanese ones I could train up).

Flame, that is why I linked to Serebii, because I felt I was probably a bit off after I reread.

Twelfth, I meant easy in term of you knew the Pokemon and people to get the trades to happen.

I know, but I can't help breaking out my useless Poke knowledge. I know so much about the games that any chance I have to use it I jump at. lol

I received all my trades from strangers off Wi-Fi, excluding my Kyogre, which was from a rare reasonable GTS trade, and the rest from my Platinum and White. I did try the Facebook groups you suggested, but I just got ignored and posted over by others offering shinies. It's really just luck. You could try using alternative GTNs from the older games to find deals, but it is sketchy at times.

I know this is a little off-topic from XY but has anyone partook in the "Twitch Plays Pokemon" stream. Holy carp it is amazing. Aside from that I havn't touched Pokemon since Pokebank was made available, I really couldn't care for it any more.

I only learned about it yesterday morning, and watched briefly twice before getting too frustrated to endure the chaotic helplessness.

I find it amazing that they made it as far as they have. I think the Safari Zone will be the end of them though. Aint no way they will get through that with some kind of divine intervention.

And to keep it on topic, it sure is nice that modern pokemon games aren't as cryptic as the old games were in terms of getting stuff. Though getting the other Mega Stones wasn't the easiest thing to figure out with the time constraint.

Soooo, I got a whole ton of legit Legendaries transferred over to my game, but after quite some time of trying I found out it's pretty much impossible to obtain Deoxys, Shaymin, Jirachi, etc. I also didn't feel like beating my entire HG game to get my hands on the Latias I was looking for.

Basically, I'm saying that I got a bunch of Pokecheck Pokemon, but I also Gen'd a few of my own. So, if anyone wants some level 5 Adamant Jirachis with Fire Punch and Ice Punch or Latias with Defog, just let me know. I couldn't get Mew to pass through, and haven't really tried much else.

Uh, with the internet, the location and way of obtaining of every single item in-game is a few searches away. Especially since now 3DS have a in-built browser. The days of schoolyard secrets in video games died in 2002, when broadband went mainstream and online gaming hit consoles big time with Xbox Live.

But yes, the later games is much more user-friendly then before.

Talking about that, the first 4 of my new team are ready. Since the shiny Unbreon I obtained was named Onyx when I received it, I've named them as so:

  • Malachite - Gallade
  • Amethyst - Male Mismagius
  • Ruby - Female Scizor
  • Onyx - Male Shiny Unbreon

Volcarona was from a wonder trade and my Shiny Hydreigon was a event Pokemon, so I can't rename them.

Gigaton for the Metagross, Guinness for the Kingdra, Torstol for the Breloom, Guilded for Scizor.

West coast or East coast Gastrodon?

Pink so I'm going to say West. O yea, we can get east coast ones now because bank. I totally forgot this. Anyway, the names are certainly interesting. One of the best things I find when seeing other peoples names is, even if I don't use them, they help give me direction. So thanks for them.

And because we're showing off, my other 31 pokemon with nickname. Yes I have a lot of free time. Also, included nature because this is how I had it saved.

Pink so I'm going to say West.

Hmm. Jello maybe?

I guess your wondering about the names. Here are there logic:

  • Gigaton: Metagrosses weigh a lot, and Giga also refers to it's large size compared to other non-legendary Pokemon.
  • Kingdra: Basically a seahorse, so I focused on the horse part. The Irish love horse racing. Since it's a sea horse, it needs to be in a liquid. While this is controversial, I chose Guinness to be said liquid.
  • Torstol: Refers to a high-level herb in a popular F2P RPGMMO.
  • Guilded: Scizors are basically Scythers who have been plated with the shiny metal coat, so they have been guilded.
  • Jello: It looks like jelly. Simple.

My Pokemon's nicknames tend to be either based on anime characters that share some of the said Poke's abilities, others are whatever.

[spoiler=in no particular order]

Delphox - Sasuke (starter/neutral nature), Izuna (Safari/Timid)

Xerneas - Sakura (Naive)

Zygarde - Chikyuryu (literally means "earth dragon" / neutral nature)

Zapdos - Raikiri (Mild)

Cobalion - Ieyasu (first one, Adamant; conquest reference), Kiyomori (because of that Japanese drama I was watching during freshman year of college; Docile)

Virizion - Kusako (Hasty), Leilani (Calm)

Terrakion - Bruiser (Naughty), Takehiko (Naive)

Latias - Ruka (first one, named after my username on an online Pokemon game [and because I apparently heard an analogy comparing Rua/Ruka to the Eon twins; Hasty), Hikari (see above, also a reference to Hikari/Dawn from Diamond/Pearl; Timid)

Espeon - Jason-kun (Egg bred/Timid, named after self b/c of club), Stardust (Bashful/original)

Jolteon - Inazuma (Naive)

Sylveon - Xianzi (neutral nature; Chinese for fairy)

Gardevoir - Rara (if you've read Pokemon Adventures 15-21, you'll get it; Modest)

Metagross - Metal X-248 (Impish)

Mewtwo - Jack Atlas (Mild)

Reshiram - Reshi (Rash), Akane (Naive)

Kyurem - Reikyaku (2nd one, neutral nature); didn't name first one.

Lucario - Ruka <male> (added the male symbol when Latias #1 got imported, Hasty)

Goodra - Masaru (Modest)

Dragonite - Yusei (Mild)

Tyranitar - Temataré (Adamant); yes it is a complete sentence in Spanish.

Hydreigon - Kira

Cresselia - Ms. Marvel

Noivern - Myotismon
Mawile - Shakkoumon
Forretress - Digitamamon
Rotom-W - Mekanorimon
