Cin
I knew that. Got Jirachi, tried the clone game memory slot on the Gamecube, but it didn't let me. More methods to try I suppose before I hand it to my friend.
Cobalt2
Hmm... I don't have bw2 but want a Superpower Scizor. Should I get my friend's Superpower Scizor with bad ivs or get a good iv Scizor without Superpower?
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Just get one with good IVs for now. Not sure if XY (or any sequels) will have a move tutor to teach Superpower and other stuff, though.

Flash Flyer - Sakura
That helps, considering that we already got the ones for the Pledge moves, elemental Hyper Beams and Draco Meteor on Route 21 (which don't cost anything to teach). Probably will cost Shards to teach the other moves (Superpower, Outrage, elemental punches, etc.) or whatever along those lines, like the last two generations have been so far (though XY doesn't have them).
The Warden
That was one thing that rubbed me wrong, no decent Move Tutors. The ones in BW2 were really brill in what they gave, but the fact that XY didn't have any really showed they just wnated to move Pokebank... oh wait. Yeah, a big pie in the face for Nintendo methinks.
-Berserker-
It's generally the second games of the generation the ones that add all the cool stuff like move tutors and battle frontiers. It would be all cool if the villain didn't have a pokemon transferred from a previous gen.
evilfusion
Yeah, the first round of games is usually the one introducing all the new elements, the new Pokemon, moves, plot, mechanics, etc. Once they know it all works, they figure out the places that could use expansion, such as bonus areas, plot elements, move tutors, etc.

Î’yakuya
Well 6th gen has been filled with a lot of aesthetics and a full vat of disappointment. Ride-able Pokemon, Move Tutors, PWT, the trading-system, the main story, and just recently the indefinite premiere of Pokemon Bank. I wonder if Nintendo ever look at fan sites like Reddit or their Facebook posts to see the concerns of the games. I can imagine they see it rarely but some users do make some good points. Not only that but move tutors and main story are hardly issues. Every pokemon game that starts a gen has poor move tutors side from the basics and outside of B/W the story in pokemon has never been very good.  Honestly, the only real issue is with the pokemon bank but the extra storage space isn't THAT important atm. At least, I don't see how you could have 900 pokemon only 3 months into launch even with tons of breeding. Plus, the draw of moving 5th gen pokemon into 6th is already taken care of since most of them are already available on GTS.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
The only problem with GTS is that people ask for a lot of legendaries (including version mascots of X/Y and event-only things) for a lot of basic stuff at times, even for things that can be found in XY w/out any difficulty. Otherwise, some wants on GTS are reasonable and probably can be filled (or Friend Safari/Wonder Trades mitigate the need for Gen 5 and earlier stuff to some degree). I managed to find a Treecko on GTS w/out much problems yesterday (all the person wanted was a female Eevee, which I have a few of) Â But yeah, XY did make it easier to breed Pokemon with the egg moves they should be learning and made EV training a lot easier to do. Instead of havinfg to use Power items/Macho Brace and hunting for stuff that gives the proper EVs when defeated, just spend a hour or so on Super Training and get it done (it even tells you when the stat is finished, so no more guesswork or having to manually keep track of them if you're not going to do it all in one day). Â Like Flame mentioned, Pokebank isn't that much of a problem because of GTS. Unless you're playing X/Y 24 hours a day, shouldn't have 30 full boxes (even with mass breeding). Â Just hope X2/Y2 (or whatever the sequel will be called) gets everything else that was missing, even if it's not set for another couple years. And while you will always have the guys that want to make stupid trades a lot of people are reasonable.  Best way to EV train is vs. hordes with power items. You get 25 EVs a go meaning you can fully train a pokemon in like 30 min.
Cin
Still looking into cloning Jirachi, and even though I managed to clone Feraligatr by accident in Pokemon XD, I've heard you shouldn't be able to without corruption. I think I might see if I can cheat one in on Ruby, and if that doesn't transfer through Bank (which it shouldn't) I'll just speed run RS a few times, because of my shifts at work, I'm not able to trade with my friend at the moment. And several hours on Colosseum after getting a full team should make both games easy (if I can find the find guide so I don't get lost in Victory Road again) Â Or someone could clone in XY since apparently it's possible. -Berserker-
I traded a safari shiny and a fishing rod shiny for a korean Victini. Having the gen IV and previous event pokemon ready to transfer in White 2, the only Pokemon that I think will be really hard to get for me are Keldeo, Meloetta and Genesect. Considering all those legendaries I transferred to White 2 from my second hand Diamond can pass the poketransfer filter, considering a couple are obviously hacked (shiny Mew and Celebi). Â Now with my DS lite, pokemon fire red, emerald, diamond, white 2 and Y in the 3ds, I guess almost everything is obtainable.
Cin
I just need to get an Arceus as my brain has finally remembered it can't be shiny. Don't hold much hope for other pokemon I got from the same person which is annoying. Â Do we know how far back the Hack check goes?
~British Soul~
One thing I need to do is max out my style otherwise I can't get the final O-Power which is annoying when I'm breeding quite a bit anyway. On the other hand, I'm happy getting my first pokebank legendary (That I won in a contest).
Flash Flyer - Sakura
I almost got a Japanese Mew in a normal trade, but something happened with the net while trading and it never happened. (I did end up with a Phione though, which is still okay). As of late, a couple of random people want to trade + offer Pokebank legendaries at the start. Aside from the four legendaries that I already got via gameplay in XY, don't have anything else that people would like [and I'm not trading Xerneas/any of mine]. Â Still scanning GTS for Pokebank stuff that I still want (though it's not that much now, thanks to some luck at Wonder Trades). At this point, probably just going to have to live with the stuff I got in XY + not count on Pokebank being released for the few Pokes I do have in White 2 to be transferred over. Â As for O-Powers, I don't really use them nowadays.
Toffee.
>Cloning is now possibleSo... It wasn't bad enough that Bank broke everything? xDActually, I flat-out love this now. Reason being, is that effectively anything is possible by this point.Plus, it makes it reminiscent of the old days of Gold/Silver, when you could do a similar power-off trick to clone Pokemon. Cin
I wouldn't be surprised if they get an update to get rid of it, before Bank comes out. I still can't get how I cloned Feraligatr back in XD by accident, when everyone else says it will ruin your game. I'm tempted to half try it on XD to see if I can Jirachi's myself since XD accepts Jirachi, but didn't accept Deoxys.  Guys don't forget the discount coupon avaliable for XY's Boutiques via the Global Link. For all players of Pokémon X & Y, the Discount Coupon is now available in the PokéMileage Club on the Pokémon Global Link. This item gives you a one-time use 50% discount on items bought in the Boutiques across the Kalos region. You can only receive one of these and it is available until March 3rd 2014 so be sure to get it while you can.  Was hoping YCM would be up the 15th to remind people grab the Torchic, but saddly it's over now. I think I got 3 anyway, 1 for me, 2 for friends.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
I could use that coupon to finish buying the rest of the clothes in Lumiose (the pricey ones, though not too many clothes left that I haven't bought [maybe some bags, the fedoras, sunglasses, etc]...wish I waited for said coupon before buying everything but I can just sell those mushrooms I get for beating Restaurant Le Wow and the other places to recover the money; not that I'm broke though). Â I'll go get the coupon tomorrow (need to Game Sync anyway so my game data is up-to-date with my current progress). Last time I checked, I have around 17k or so Poke Miles from Wonder Trades and I guess from random play. And plus, my acquaintance list needs to be updated (though not much more people since the last time, since a lot of people I Wonder Trade with lately are repeated) Â Got my Torchic the moment I got X, so not too worried (only one though, but it's only me playing at home so no real need for extras). ~British Soul~
I had my 2 Torchics from day one, so I wasn't worried, and given how fast I completed Y, I could've gotten more but I decided not to.
Cin
Well both my friends haven't gotten XY yet, one isn't massively Pokemon savvy, but I figured I'd give her Jirachi and Torchic for her Birthday or when she gets XY.
Smile HD
That Discount Coupon would be super useful if I didn't already own every single piece of clothing in Kalos.
