So...

  • There are no other Mega Evolutions in the game aside from Mega Latios and Mega Latias, which look the same. They both retain their original Dragon/Psychic typing.
  • Celebi remains Psychic/Grass.
  • The extra meteor for Deoxys at the Fossil Lab is a Red Herring. It's just another attack forme meteor.

Also, we knew about these for a while, but we have more info.

  • diancie.png
  • Diancie is Rock/Fairy, 2'04", 19.4 lbs. #151. It is known as the Jewel Pokemon. "It can instantly create many diamonds by compressing the carbon in the air between its hands."
  • Diancie's signature move is Diamond Storm, a physical Rock-type attack. A bunch of diamonds are created and thrown at the enemy. "The user whips up a storm of diamonds to damage opposing Pokemon. This may also raise the user's Defense stat." It has 100 power and 95% accuracy. Diancie can also learn Moonblast, Safeguard, and Light Screen.
  • Diancie is not related to Carbink on its Pokedex evolution page. However it could be a Manaphy/Phione situation. Or maybe the diamonds it throws turn into Carbink after a couple million years? :P
  • At Level 100 with no EV training, Diancie's stats can be 222/236/300/236/344/135.

  • hoopa.png
  • Hoopa is Psychic/Ghost, 1'08", 19.8 lbs. #152. It is known as the Mischief Pokemon. "It gathers things it likes and pushes them through its loop to teleport them to a secret place."
  • Hoopa's signature move is Hyperspace Hole, a special Psychic-type attack. A dark hole is created in the ground, Hoopa goes through it, then comes out behind the enemy and hits them. "Using a hyperspace hole, the user appears next to the target and strikes. This also hits a target using Protect or Detect." It's got 80 power and N/A accuracy. Hoopa can also learn Psychic, Shadow Ball, and Trick Room
  • At Level 100 with no EV training, Hoopa's stats can be 301/231/154/315/296/177.

  • volcanion.png
  • Volcanion is Fire/Water, 5'07", 429.9 lbs. #153. "It expels its internal steam from the arms on its back. It has enough power to blow down a mountain."
  • Volcanion's signature move is Steam Eruption, a special Water-type attack. "The user immerses the target in superheated steam. This may also leave the target with a burn." It's got 110 power and 95 accuracy. Volcanion can also learn Flare Blitz, Overheat, and Explosion.
  • Volcanion is related to the Lumiose City blackouts.
  • At Level 100 with no EV training, Volcanion's stats can be 275/254/276/247/235/176.

Volcanion being related to teh Lumiose blackouts is an interesting bit of info tbh.

Lumiose blackouts eh...there are 3 new Pokemon and 3 remaining entrances to the Kalos Power Plants...if there would be an event I can see probably something in regards to Team Flare or some sort of disaster. Though it doesn't seem Diancie or Hoopa can literally help supply a good power source.

So I assume the Volcanion is the Lava Plume Pokemon that those two women talk about in Luminose City, in which they believe that "a Pokemon lives deep under the city". People were expecting this to be Heatran though

Well that does make a lot more sense, but I don't really feel that Volcanion would directly be under Jaune Plaza. Probably there could be an entrance that leads underground Lumiose?

I always did wonder why there were 3 extra locked doors around the Power Plant.

Interesting info, but it's unclear how to obtain them?

You think maybe one of them has something to do with that absolutely eerie scene in that one Luminose building, with the Hex Girl that says something about you not being the one?

... y'know what? I was just thinking that the Ghost Girl in Lumiose City may have some connection to Hoopa.

Maybe it is a Volcanion? Perhaps there'll be an event in which you receive a key to one of those locked doors and investigate what is going on down there and find a Volcanion for you to capture.

Obviously. I mean the rest of the environment down there. It would suck to have so much myster built up around the place and just have a bland setting with Volcanion sitting there.

I wish they did that more - Give a new environment to traverse through with its own pokemon and everything for the event pokemon, rather than opening up a door or whatever to get to them.

Though, If B/W's event Legendaries were any indication, we'll just kind of get them, rather than having anything cool with them other than the movies.

I'm more worried about how we get them. I'm admittedly a bit weary of the usual "set period of time via Wifi only" events that can pretty much never be transferred. It'd be better, a little at least, if events were unlocked by bringing certain Pokemon/etc to certain areas/people/etc. Something that can be gotten in-game, but isn't accessible yet, you know?

Well technically if there was map data behind those doors at the Power Plant, people would've discovered them by now? Obviously we will be waiting on a major update from Pokemon themselves for these features

Well, the game can be updated through the Nintendo e-shop already, so it's very possible that Nintendo is holding onto map data for those areas without having implemented it into the game originally, and is just waiting for the right time to release it.

Which would make sense, because they would need to program the Pokemon into the game, so that people w/o internet don't screw up when doing something with people that do, but to get events, you NEED to have Wi-Fi, so they could hide the event itself in updates/the event.
