Dragonknight&Pendy4eva
here is my question if my opponent controls the card "attraffic control" and i summon the card "vennominaga the deity of poisonous snakes" would the card effect of "attraffic control" apply to "vennominaga the deity of poisonous snakes"? Trebuchet MS
I'm inclined to think that "they" in Attraffic Control applies to the opponent. (Confirmed by referencing the Japanese text.) So, even if Vennominaga has immunity to everything else, Attraffic Control restricts the opponent's ability to even declare an attack with it. This same line of logic applies to things like Threatening Roar, where your opponent is the one being affected. Of course, if the "they" in Attraffic Control's text means the monsters, then Vennominaga is immune to that.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
If we get one of the active TCG members in here, they can solve the problem. But I did go and check the Japanese lore (相手 refers to opponent), so you might be the correct one in here. (Wish Konami made a ruling on that when the card came out)
Tribea
Wrong forum, and to the question, i would say...Uhm, (i hate paradoxes)... I think yes.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
There's a rulings thread in TCG, found at http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/51672-yu-gi-oh-rulings-questions/; in the future, use that for anything related for questions regarding card effects in the TCG/OCG. Back to your question, Vennominaga won't be affected by Attraffic Control (Its effect states "This card cannot be targeted by, and is unaffected by, Spell/Trap effects and other Effect Monsters' effects.") Thus, unless Skill Drain or something that negates effects is on the field prior to you summoning this card; it shouldn't be affected.
