Deck Searcher - Lets you draw more cards

Its a nice idea for a Continuous Spell card but what if you use a Deck mostly comprised of Spells and Traps. You could lose a large portion of your Deck trying to draw a monster and your opponent can use cards which benefit from you drawing like "Silent Magician Lvl 4".

Yeah it was meant to be continuous!

It says that you could send that card to the graveyard. You don't have to, but you're right about Silent Magician. But hey, every card has a down side (i think)!

I don't think the world is ready for this card yet.

It really doesn't have much going for it to be honest.

 

There's a card called "Card Trader" that let's you shuffle 1 card from your hand each turn back into your Deck and draw another.

Deck Searcher" has going for it is that it thins out the Deck, which is outweighted by the bad aspects of it.

You need to get rid of Spell/Trap Cards. If it was monsters, it's razonable because those are recyclable or have effects that benefit from being sent to the Graveyard or just being in the Graveyard. Spell/Trap Cards do not. You are giving up the type of card you would usually be otherwise aiming to get out of this.

 

Until a kind of Spell/Trap Card that likes to be discarded and is not Ojamagic appears, it really would not see much use. Even "Card Trader" doesn't really see any use. That said, the concept could maybe become usable in the future if the above happened.

 

 

 

Also, this last bit is more of a personal view of mine, but Continuous Cards are better reserved for effects where you say "awesome" when you draw them. Call of the Haunted, Fiendish Chain, Swords of Concealing Light, etc, but are not a necessary deck core's effect. 

This would be better suited for a more searchable kind. It's an engine that can only really be good if a strategy moves around it.

I think being able to get past dead draws is easier with this card. I can't tell you how many times I needed a monster just to draw a spell/trap.
