Pre-Made Text

Ok, I had an idea, but I might just be lazy or not thinking of something obvious.

I think that there should be a pre-made text section that automatically inserts common OCG text into card descriptions. Stuff like Spirit Text, CXyz Text, piercing Damage text, etc. I think many of the cards on this site might have better OCG if this were the case. 

Thoughts and opinions, anyone?

Not everything is set in stone, you know.
I mean, Spirits typically have:

This card cannot be Special Summoned. This card returns to the hand during the End Phase of the turn it is Normal Summoned or flipped Face-up.

Then came Yamato:

Who totally breaks that.

Point is, pre-made text would be rather lackluster.

While I see where you're going with this suggestion (and would be nice), like what Arm just mentioned; stuff isn't always the same with cards with similar effects (above is just an example of breaking the usual things). Although you could just copy+paste the text off of an existing card's page from the Wikipedia.

 

Overall though, I'll remain neutral on this

Adding onto Armz post, it doesn't allow you to experiment with effects and make them your own. I think that is the part cardmakers forget about.

Yes, but, you can still edit the text, right?

 

Just give little things to it, like a small button to add OCG correct parts of text like.

 

"This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set."

 

That way they can still add "This card cannot be Special Summoned, except by"

You can easily just copy and paste correct OCG from another card.

I guess. But then you have to remember the name of it. Now, it may be my inner laziness, but I'd rather click a button giving me correct OCG then looking some random card's effect.

 

Of course that means more work for YCMaker/The Coding Team. So that kinda sucks.
