VictorSempra
So, this is something I think a few of us would be able to relate to, and after reading over it I thought it was certainly worth a share. I won't spoil it up here, just give it a read. It's another thing I REALLY needed to get out of my system. Hey, you. Yes you. The one who tries to beat himself up every day. You need to quit that, right this minute. Every few weeks you tell yourself "All I'm good at is quitting. School, learning music or art, electronics..." No, you just stop that. You might not have any particular stand-out skills to market, but you have one thing going for you: You're thick-skinned. Every time you've failed, you've somehow managed to pick yourself up and try again at something. And eventually, you'll find something, something that you succeed at, and you'll do it well. Look at your parents, they both have huge disadvantages, but they don't let it keep them down. Both of them do it, mind you, so you have a double-dose of that in your blood. You tell yourself you don't have creative ideas anymore, but really, you do, you just need to work on them and stop giving up before you even really get started. You have people that care, and are trying to support you at every turn in their own way. Just buck up bro, I know you better than anyone. You CAN make something out of yourself, just don't let the thoughts hold you back from coming into yourself. You also need to recognize that you DO have a mild disability, which might make you run a little different than everyone else, and IT'S OKAY TO BE THAT WAY. Not everyone has the same path, and yours might jsut run a little late. One more thing, as well: All that pain in your past? It's okay to feel it. Some things you just won't ever fully get over, AND THAT'S OKAY TOO. Just think that the more it hurts to think about, the stronger it made you, and the more it should motivate you. I've been there, I know how it feels, you will be alright. Post this somewhere you can see it all the time, in case you ever get that self-defeatist feeling again. You'll thank me later. -From Me, To Me

VictorSempra
I must overcome YCM Block and conquer my self defeatist! I can do it! I can make a card!!! I AM CREATIVE! ... In all seriousness, good stuff. That made me laugh. But I get these modes where I want to break down, cry, and give up on all my work. I think between my aunt counseling me, and my friends supporting me, I'm finally able to realize the behavior, so when this happened last night, well, this happened.
